- Swipe the screen with your finger from left to right or click on your profile picture located at the top of the feed. This will allow you to switch to stories mode.
- Swipe again, but from the bottom up - your media gallery will appear.
- Hold one photo and tick the desired images.
- Tap on the "Next" button.
- Edit material. More on this in the section below.
- Continue.
- Select the category in which stories will be visible: for best friends or for all subscribers.
- Click Share.
Done. Now you have published several mini-stories in one big video.
Good to know. To delete one of the photos in the "short film" you do not need to get rid of the entire video. It is enough to look through the stories to the desired picture, and then click on the "three dots" in the lower right corner of the screen.
Then, respectively - "Delete".
Adding several videos
To upload several videos to one story, we proceed almost similarly to the previous algorithm of actions. Namely:
- Launch the Instagram program on your gadget. Log in to your personal profile.
- Scroll the page from left to right to open edit mode.
- Open the gallery and pinch one video. Check the second box if required.
- Select "Next" and filter the material.
- Decide on the category of followers that your "short man" will see and publish.
Interesting. Please note that each mini-story will be 15 seconds long. Therefore, if one video lasts 21 seconds, then it will be divided into two - 15 and 6 seconds, respectively.
The second option for publishing a video differs in that you can not get it from the device's memory, but record it fresh.
That is, in the video editing mode, hold down the white round button and do not release until you record the full “movie”. The system will automatically divide it into "short films" of the required duration.
Features of adding on iPhone and Android
The basic principle of how to upload several stories at once on "apple" and "alien" is completely identical: the same icons, the same steps according to the instructions.
However, the only thing that may differ is the interface on different versions of operating systems. That is, the icons may look the same, but not located at the top of the screen, but, for example, at the bottom.
The process of processing stories
It has already been said more than once that processing the footage is also important for promoting your profile. Therefore, we will pay special attention to this. The following tools are provided for editing in the application:
- Filters. Scrolling left or right on the added photo or video, you can make the picture brighter and more colorful, or, conversely, black and white.
- Effects. By clicking on the smiley among the top icons, you can add the effect of kisses, an old movie, or even superimpose a cat's face on your portrait.
- Geolocation, hashtags, emoticons, etc. All this can be found by clicking on the button "pages with a folded corner." The added icon can be deleted by holding and dragging it to the trash icon.
- Drawing. By selecting the “pencil” icon, you can draw something on the image yourself.
- Text. If you need to write something, but did not find it in the menu from item 3 of our list, then click on the two letters "Aa" at the top of the screen, select the color and size.
Note. After the video is loaded, it will have a red outline. This means you haven't watched it yet. The read story has a gray stroke.
Why can't add another story
If you can't publish a second story on Instagram, then there may be two reasons:
- Technical problems on the service.
To solve it, you need to restart the application. If this does not help, wait 15 minutes and repeat the previous step. - An old version of the Instagram app, where the stories feature is missing. Updating the program in Google Play or the AppStore will help fix this problem.
Important. If all of the above did not help, contact Instagram technical support. To do this, in the settings in the "Help" section, click on the "Report a problem" line.
How to complete the story in the feed
