Instagram Grid Pinning is coming soon to the app — allowing users to pin specific posts to the top of their profile.
In a video this week with Adam Mosseri, Head of Instagram, it was revealed that the update will be rolled out to all users.

Mosseri explained, “Your profile is your space, so we’re looking for more ways to give you control over that experience.”
What Is the Instagram Grid Pinning Feature?The concept of pinning content isn’t new. It’s a frequently used feature on other apps like Twitter and TikTok.
However, the ability to pin posts on your Instagram profile grid will shake up how we use the platform.

How to Use Instagram’s Grid Pinning FeatureOnce you have access to Instagram’s Grid Pinning feature, you can quickly pin a published post to the top of your profile.
Simply click on the post you’d like to pin and tap the three small dots in the right-hand corner:
You’ll see a menu appear with a list of actions such as “Archive” and “Edit”. Click on “Pin to your profile.”
Voila! The post will appear at the very top of your profile grid and will have a small thumbnail icon in the upper right corner.
At the moment, you can only pin up to three posts at a time. If you want to unpin a post, simply click on the post, tap the three small dots, and click “Unpin from your profile.”

How to Pin Multiple Instagram Posts to Your Profile

There’s a lot that goes into creating a social media post. That’s why we check for post views and engagement multiple times after posting. Instagram recognizes this, so it’s found a way to help you get more visibility for your top three posts.
Instagram has rolled out grid pinning, a feature that allows you to place up to three posts at the top of your profile grid. Continue reading to find out how to pin your posts to your Instagram profile grid and why you should.
Instagram Launches Grid Pinning
Instagram is allowing you to pin up to three posts to your profile grid. The feature was announced by Instagram head Mosseri on Twitter, who explained it as a way to give you control over your profile experience.
Unlike Instagram's Story Highlights, which change order each time you add new ones, pinned posts will remain at the top of your grid until you replace or remove them. Along with grid pinning, the app also rolled out new Instagram Reels features, like the ability to upload your own audio, add stickers, and more.
To use Instagram's grid pinning feature, make sure you have the latest version of the app installed on your phone.
How to Pin an Instagram Post to Your Profile

You can pin posts to your Instagram profile grid in a few quick steps. Here’s how:
- Open the Instagram app on your phone.
- Tap your Profile Picture in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
- Now tap the post you want to pin, followed by the three-dot Menu in the top-right corner.
- Finally, tap Pin to Your Profile from the options that appear.
- Repeat this process for two more posts.
When you pin posts to your profile, Instagram rearranges your grid so that your pinned posts appear first. To unpin a post, follow the same steps and tap Unpin From Your Profile. When you do this, your posts will appear in their original place on the grid again.
Why You Should Pin Instagram Posts to Your Profile
There are several reasons why you’d want to pin your Instagram posts. Firstly, it's a good feature to use if you want these posts to get more visibility. How to pin a post on Instagram

About pinning posts on Instagram
When you go to your Instagram profile, you see your photos and videos in a grid of posts. Each new post shifts the previous one back.
