Whether you have multiple Facebook accounts or share a computer with friends and family, you'll need to know how to switch Facebook accounts. Thankfully, the social network makes it easy to quickly switch between profiles using the same browser.

How to Switch Between Facebook Accounts (New Facebook)
- While logged into Facebook, click on the Account button next to Notifications.
- Select See all profiles, then select Switch accounts.
- Click on one of your previously logged-into accounts or select Log into another account.
- If logging into another account, enter your username and password and click Log in. If you previously checked Remember password, you won't receive a prompt to enter your password when switching accounts. If you haven't checked Remember password, you'll receive a prompt to enter the password for your account.
- Now, when you click on the Switch Accounts button, you should see both accounts. On New Facebook, you'll know which account you're currently logged into via a blue dot indicator under Profiles.
- If you decide you'd like to remove an account from your computer, go to Switch Accounts, then click the X to the right of the account name.
If you don't like Facebook's new look, it doesn't need to be one of your reasons to quit Facebook for good. Instead, you can restore the classic style while taking advantage of the quick account switching.
How to Switch Between Facebook Accounts (Classic Facebook)
While classic Facebook is no longer officially available, extensions have attempted to recreate the experience.
Unfortunately, these either no longer work or provide limited functionality based on your account.
If you're using an extension like Old Layout for Facebook for Firefox or Chrome that runs a script to restore the classic aesthetic, you'll still follow the same steps as the current version of Facebook:
- While logged into Facebook, click on the Account button next to Notifications.
- Select See all profiles, then select Switch accounts.
- Click on one of your previously logged-into accounts or select Log into another account.
- If logging into another account, enter your username and password and click Log in. If you previously checked Remember password, you won't receive a prompt to enter your password when switching accounts. If you haven't checked Remember password, you'll receive a prompt to enter the password for your account.
- Now when you click on the Switch Accounts button, you should see both accounts. On New Facebook, you'll know which account you're currently logged into via a blue dot indicator under Profiles.
- If you decide you'd like to remove an account from your computer, go to Switch Accounts then click the X to the right of the account name.
If you find yourself dissatisfied with the limited emulation of classic Facebook, there are still some things that can be done to make new Facebook better. It's becoming easier to customize your Facebook feed, for instance, so more time can be spent on the right account looking at the content you want.

When you open a Facebook website page for your business, you are setting the business apart from your personal Facebook profile.
While many business owners will integrate both, there are reasons to keep business and personal posts separate. You can create a separate business page that is not your personal profile page, but you do need to open a business page from a personal profile. However, you can keep people from seeing that you are the administrator of the business profile.
Open a Facebook Website
Open Facebook and log in to your personal profile. In the far right corner of the top deck banner, there is a drop-down menu marked by a triangle pointing downward. Click that and look for the option Create Page. Follow the guide to establish a business page. Facebook's templates ask you to categorize your business. Follow the prompts. Enter as much information as possible for your business including name, address and phone number along with digital contact information such as websites and email addresses. You will also be asked for a username, which becomes a way for people to search for your business.
For example, a seafood restaurant might use @bestseafoodflorida but most people will use the business name if it is available. The prompts will let you know if your selection is already taken.
Once you have entered the basic business profile information, click the blue button Get Started. Your page will populate on the screen. It will be a basic page without any pictures, information or posts. Select the camera icon in the banner to upload a banner photo such as a logo or picture of the front of your store. Save and click the camera icon in the profile picture within the banner. Place an icon, logo or other notable graphics here. Try to keep the pictures different for contrast. Complete the About Us section to tell people about you. You can add a Contact Us button or Get A Quote button to the page at the top menu. These make it easy for people to reach you. Get ready to post and engage.
Complete Separation From Profile
Create a Business Manager account on Facebook to keep all posting from your business page administration to your business page.
Not separating the profiles can lead to confusion about whether you are publishing a post as you personally or as the business. The Business Manager rectifies this. Business Manager is a central space to manage one or more business profiles in Facebook. This is a free tool in the Facebook platform that doesn't just allow you separation but allows team members, partners or vendors to become administrators, run ads and maintain analytics on the page's success.
Visit business.facebook.com and select Set Up Your Account. Follow the prompts asking for the business name and business email. The page redirects so you can enter the business profile information. You can manage the page, ad accounts and people on your team from this page.
Considerations Regarding Separation
While many business owners actively market from their personal page there are various reasons to keep the connection private. Some industries such as financial services are highly regulated and may have compliance issues requiring business pages to be unassociated with personal profiles.
There are other instances where a business owner may not want to mix family events with adult-types of businesses. Whatever the reason, every business owner should consider the benefits and disadvantages to separating business and personal profiles.
Warning
Don't be tempted to create a fake personal profile to establish a new business page in efforts to keep them separate. Facebook has taken strong adverse action against fake profiles due to recent political events.

It's not always convenient to use two profiles. Sometimes this requires downloading additional unofficial applications, and sometimes it's just inconvenient to log out of the main account every time to go to the second one. The solution is much simpler than it seems at first glance.
Duplicate applications for Android
Android has provided the function of duplicate applications on most smartphones. It creates a similar application with zero settings.
The name of the function on different smartphones may be called differently.
The function is located in one of the sections: “Accessibility”, “Additional functions”, “Applications”. It may be called “Dual Application Profile” or “Software Clones”, depending on the smartphone brand. Select an app to clone and wait for the download.
The application clone will appear on the smartphone screen. The icon will look like the original with a small addition - a clone icon in the corner. So you can easily distinguish the clone from the original application.
Second space for Xiaomi
Xiaomi owners will need a function - “Second space”. It allows you to create a parallel version of the operating system on your phone. The second space works identically to the first. Initially, it is completely empty and you can reinstall the necessary applications and log in to them. With one click, you can move between the two spaces and even set a password.
Installing the second space is easy enough.
Go to "Settings", then to "Accessibility" and "Second Space". Start the installation and wait for the space to form.
The Go icon will appear on the screen. Use it to change the space.
iOS didn't provide app clone or second space creation, so workarounds have to be found. There is no free third-party clone app, but some apps have taken care of managing multiple accounts on their own. You can use the same functions for Android.
Second Instagram account
The application allows you to use several instagram accounts at the same time and switch between them without having to constantly log in and out and enter passwords. You just need to go to the main page, click on the login above and add an account. After that, you can easily switch accounts on instagram at any time.
Second Telegram account
The application allows you to have more than one Telegram account. Thanks to this, it becomes easier to separate work and personal life in the messenger.
Go to settings, click on your profile and on the line "Add account". You will receive a code in Telegram to the number through which you authorize. The code can also be sent via SMS. After that, you can easily switch telegram accounts in the side menu. Also in the telegram, you can turn off notifications on individual chats, which makes it possible not to be distracted by unnecessary messages or notifications from telegram channels. Long press on an account when navigating to open a window with recent chats. So you can “peep” whether something important has arrived or not. Facebook accounts

How to make a second page on Facebook on Facebook is available on mobile and desktop versions. The user needs to log out of the main account in order to proceed to the section: "Create an account". As in the first case, you need to enter registration data: phone number, password, fill in the basic information from the biography.
Features of working with two pages:
- you need to use a different number and email address;
- it is recommended to immediately install a photo (you can not your own) so that the system does not send a warning or block the account;

With the computer version

How to switch to the second Facebook profile
By connecting several Facebook accounts, the user will be able to switch only if he logs out of the first one. In the settings there is a transition to a business profile only, where the owner does not need to enter additional data.
How to go to another page using the computer version:
- Open your profile - go to the section: "Settings".

From the mobile version, you also need to go to the settings and click: "Exit". A notification will appear on the screen: "Are you sure", after - the main page. The owner cannot switch to different accounts while he is authorized in at least one. Unlike Instagram, where all connected profiles are shown in the top menu, Facebook can only be accessed by disconnecting from the first one.
Problem restoring another page in FB
Problems returning access can occur if the owner used the same phone number or email address. To create several pages, you need different information: a separate number, email. Otherwise, when restoring, the system will offer the wrong page or block the second one.
What to do if the same number is given:
- restore one of the available ones and change the phone number in it;
- change completely registration data: number, password;
- delete one of the accounts.
If, after deletion, you cannot access both pages, contact the administration, pointing out the problem. In the reasons for the appeal, indicate that an account was previously created, but forgotten and no user has visited it.
In response, you will receive a notification and a link to a page that can be restored. Or, the owner himself can add a URL leading to the required account. If the verification is successful and there is a way to confirm your identity, the restoration of access will take no more than a day.
