In general, an online version of the program called WhatsApp Web has been available on the official website since the summer of 2016. This greatly simplifies the use of this program (what is it?) Thus, today there are two main options for using WhatsApp on a PC - it's online, that is, through a browser (web version) or by installing a special WhatsAppSetup application from the official website to your computer.
