An Instagram profile can serve as an extremely useful aspect of cultivating an audience. You can use it to showcase your products, build interest in your brand, and simply make your content stand out from the crowd.

By adding and embedding Instagram content on WordPress, you can further increase your exposure (and potential conversions). It offers also offers an easy way for followers to interact with you on both platforms, and it streamlines the process on your end.

In this post, we’ll show you various ways to add Instagram to WordPress. These include manual methods, as well as using WordPress plugins. Let’s get started!

Benefits of Adding an Instagram Feed to WordPress

Before we jump into the how-to, here’s the why: Adding an Instagram feed to your WordPress site will boost your brand and your business by showing site visitors the latest photos you’ve uploaded to Instagram. The primary benefit of incorporating this type of feed on your site is increased brand exposure. However, there are a number of other notable benefits.

By regularly updating your feed with enticing, shareable images (complemented with searchable hashtags), you can keep engagement levels high, and potentially develop long-lasting customer relationships.

Finally, adding an Instagram feed to your site helps you establish a greater sense of trust with your customer base. By regularly updating your feed, you can continuously demonstrate how your company is relevant, innovative, and able to respond to trends.

How to Add Instagram to WordPress

Fortunately, there are various ways to add Instagram to WordPress. First up, we’ve outlined a simple and popular method—let’s take a look!

Gutenberg and Instagram

Do you want to embed an Instagram feed to your WordPress website? With the new Gutenberg editor found in WordPress 5.0+ embedding an Instagram feed or post to your site is easier than ever. Simply use the Embed block and link directly to your post. Check out this quick video tutorial:

Adding an Instagram Widget to WordPress

Outside of the Gutenberg example above, using a widget to add an Instagram feed to your site is another option. A WordPress widget is a modular element that enables you to add a particular feature—such as a newsletter signup form or a search bar—to your WordPress website. They can be added to different areas of your site, though sidebars and footers are the most common.

Using an Instagram widget in WordPress, you can directly add your live Instagram feed to your website. It can be displayed on all pages, or you can set it only to appear on certain ones.

To add an Instagram widget, we recommend you use a WP Instagram widget plugin such as Instagram Feed WD. This plugin actually includes its own Instagram Widget feature:

Once installed and activated on your website, go to Instagram Feed WD > Settings within WordPress. Here, you’ll need to log into and connect with your Instagram account:

Next, navigate to Appearances > Widgets, then scroll until you find the Instagram Widget section. Click it, then drag it over to your WordPress sidebar on the right:

You can also adjust your feed’s exact location by moving other widgets around, giving you a quick and simple way to customize how your sidebar or footer appears.

Should You Use an Instagram Widget or Plugin For Your Website?

It’s important to understand the difference between widgets and plugins. Plugins add a new feature to your WordPress website that may or may not be visible. However, when you activate a WordPress plugin, it may install a widget on your behalf—which is where the confusion can begin. Unlike plugins, widgets are always visible, often in the footer or sidebars.

When it comes to choosing between a widget and a plugin for Instagram, everything depends on your desired features. If you just want to display your Instagram feed or add social icons, a simple Instagram widget works well. Businesses that don’t rely on visuals or want the fastest site possible may prefer widgets.

For more control over appearance and functionality, a full-fledged plugin is best. eCommerce businesses, artists, and restaurants can all benefit from an Instagram plugin.

Because visuals are such a powerful tool for conversions, we always recommend using a plugin for Instagram.

What Are the Best Instagram Plugins For WordPress?

Here are our top Instagram plugins for WordPress:

Spotlight

With Spotlight, you have a code-free solution to Instagram integration through widgets or blocks. The powerful free version includes four sophisticated templates (and the ability to create your own), “Follow” and “Load More” buttons, a popup lightbox feature, and so much more.

WPZOOM Social Feed

WPZOOM Social Feed is a free, no-nonsense plugin that helps you quickly display your Instagram feed. All you have to do is sign in to your account.

Using the Instagram Widget, WordPress allows you to show off your photos anywhere on your site. A lightbox function and a customizable avatar and bio make this lightweight plugin a top pick.

Smash Balloon Social Photo Feed

The free version of Smash Balloon Social Photo Feed comes packed with limitless customizations, multi-feed displays, and “Load More” and “Follow” capabilities. But the affordable pro version shines with video support, the option to display posts by hashtag, and more. For a professional-looking, easy-to-use Instagram feed, look no further.

Feed Them Social

Feed Them Social comes with many of the same must-have features as the above options—it’s customizable, accepts multiple feeds, and is easy to place anywhere on your WordPress website. The key difference here is versatility. Feed Them Social can also integrate your Facebook and Twitter feeds into the mix (and the paid version adds YouTube, too). This is your one-stop-shop for social integration.

How to Embed Instagram Photos on WordPress

There are two ways to manually embed Instagram photos on your WordPress posts and pages. First, head to Instagram and log in to your account. Next, find the image you want to embed and open it in a new tab. To do this, click the timestamp that indicates how long it’s been posted:

On the new page, select the URL from the address bar of your browser, and copy it. To embed the photo on your WordPress website, navigate to Pages or Posts on your WordPress dashboard. Next, select the page or post you want to add the photo to.

From here, simply paste the URL into your desired location within the WordPress editor, and you’ll see the image appear automatically.

Alternatively, you can use an Embed Code. Back in Instagram, and at your chosen image, click the ellipsis icon next to the Add a comment section:

Choose Embed, and copy the code provided. You can also remove the caption from the embed if you’d like, by unchecking the relevant box:

Finally, return to your WordPress page or post, but make sure you select the Text editor before pasting your code wherever you’d like:

Using the Embed Code approach takes a little bit longer than the widget method, but is a great choice for those with coding experience, as it has the potential to be more flexible.

How to Embed Instagram Videos on WordPress

Similar to image embedding, there are also two manual ways to embed videos. The first is the easiest, and requires only the Instagram post’s URL.

To do this, find the video you’d like to embed from Instagram, and click the timestamp at the bottom to open it in a new tab. Then, simply copy the URL from the address bar, and paste it into the WordPress editor. The video should automatically appear.

You can also embed the video using Instagram’s own Embed Code that’s generated for each post. As with images, simply click the ellipsis icon next to the Add a comment section, select Embed, then copy and paste the code into WordPress’ Text editor.

If you know your way around HTML, you can also tweak a few of the video embed’s attributes. For example, you can set the video to start at a specific time, or adjust the width and height of the post to better fit your website.

How to Add an Instagram Feed to WordPress

As outlined above, it’s easy to embed photos and videos on your WordPress website. However, you can also add entire feeds. This is a great way to keep your readers updated, but it can also be used within pages and posts to embed the feeds of others.

The best way to add an Instagram feed to WordPress is with a dedicated plugin. We recommend the one mentioned above, Instagram Feed WD, or another favorite of ours, Spotlight.

Spotlight Instagram Feeds plugin

To start, go to Instagram Feed WD > Feeds within WordPress. Here, you can create custom feeds for different areas of your website:

To create a new one, click Add new. You can choose your Layout, determine which Media to display, and even assign Conditional Filters:

Once you’re done, you can Publish the feed. Then simply copy the shortcode from the Feeds page, and paste in the Text editor of any page or post.

How to Share WordPress Posts on Instagram

If you’d like to automatically share your latest WordPress posts with your Instagram followers, WordPress plugins once again come to the rescue.

Blog2Social’s Social Media Auto Post & Scheduler is a plugin that automatically pushes blog posts to your connected social media profiles. These include Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Pinterest, as well as Instagram:

You can set the WordPress plugin to default, which automatically shares posts. You can also customize the settings, so you can select certain times to share.

Using the WordPress plugin, you can even repost older content. This brings it to the attention of your new Instagram followers, and it can be great for driving website traffic.

To embed your Instagram photo feed, first, go to Instagram Feed » All Feeds menu from your dashboard.

Now click on the Add New button to create a new feed.

The plugin will then ask you to pick the type of Instagram feed that you want on your website. The options here include:

After picking your Instagram feed type, click on Next.

On this page, you can choose a source for your Instagram feed so that it can show posts on your site.

For that, just select your Instagram account here and click on Next.

This will create your Instagram feed and open it in the plugin’s simple live feed editor.

There, you have all of your customization options on the left and a live preview of your Instagram feed on the right.

Using these options, you can set your Instagram feed layout, color scheme, header design, button design, and much more.

Now, click on the Feed Layout option on the left to get started.

You can now pick the overall layout for your Instagram feeds and choose from 4 options: grid, carousel, masonry, and highlight.

If you want your content to be presented in neat rows and columns, then the grid option can help you out here.

For something more dynamic, you can pick the carousel template instead. You can then add an Instagram carousel to WordPress and engage your visitors.

Similarly, Instagram Feed Pro also gives you a nice-looking masonry option that shows your posts while keeping their original proportions.

And finally, you can go for the highlight option if you want your photos and videos to be prominent. With this layout, your posts will have 4x the size of your usual posts.

Once you’ve picked your layout, scroll down and click on Save.

And these are just the basics. There are tons of more amazing options that can help you set the color scheme, header style, button design, post style, and much more.

Finally, you can use the Embed button at the top right corner to embed Instagram WordPress feeds on your website.

This will show a popup where you can choose the location of your Instagram feed.

Here, you can click on Add to a Page if you want to embed Instagram feeds on a WordPress page.

Now, the plugin will show you a list of your WordPress pages. Just select your page and click on Add.

Instagram - Support

Instagram is an easy way to create, customize and share photos and short videos using your smartphone. You can upload photos and videos to your Instagram profile to share with other Instagram users, or connect your Instagram profile to other social networks such as Facebook and tell your friends and followers on different social platforms about yourself.

There are several ways to integrate Instagram with your WordPress. com site, including embedded Instagram objects, recent Instagram posts, and the Instagram widget.

Content

Embedded Instagram

Embedding refers to posting content, such as videos or photos, to a website or blog. If the material is "pasted", the video or photo can be viewed without leaving the site.

Watch the video below on how to embed an Instagram block on your site.

Embed images and videos from Instagram on any page or post on your site using two different blocks:

Instagram block

Using Instagram block , one Instagram post can be inserted into the site.

First, copy the URL of the Instagram post from the address bar of the browser while viewing the image. It looks something like this:

 https://www.instagram.com/p/B-XJ8ALl32q/

Paste it on a new line in the editor and this post will be automatically inserted into the Instagram block .

Done! By default, a maximum size image of 612 pixels wide is inserted. Video inserts look very similar, but they have a triangular play symbol:

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by WordPress.com (@wordpressdotcom)

an updated list of recent Instagram feed posts.

💡

If you have reels videos in your Instagram feed, they will be displayed as static images. Visitors can click on the video image to view it.

You can find detailed instructions for adding blocks.

When adding the "Recent Instagram posts" block , a request appears to connect an Instagram account.

⚠️

If your site is on a plugin-enabled plan, your site must be public (not in Coming Soon) to connect to Instagram.

After enabling the connection, several options will appear in the block settings on the sidebar. If the sidebar is not visible, click the gear icon next to the Publish button.

Block settings are available in the sidebar.

These options are:

  • Account settings. View the connected Instagram account and disable it if you need to delete it or connect another account.
  • Display settings. Set the number of Instagram posts to display, the number of columns to use, and the spacing (in pixels) between posts in the Instagram grid.
  • Vertical layout on mobile devices. If you enable this option, the contents of the left side will be displayed above the content of the right side (and not side by side, as on desktop screens). This will make your site much more convenient for mobile device users.
  • Optional. The advanced settings tab allows you to add a CSS class to your block, allowing you to style the block however you like with custom CSS. Additional information.

Each block also has a toolbar with corresponding controls. The toolbar of the Latest Instagram Posts block , in addition to displaying in wide format or full width, if supported by the theme you are using, provides options to align the block to the left, right, or center.

Latest Instagram posts block and its settings

📌

If there is no option to change the block to wide or full size, and your theme supports these options, the block may have been added in block group . For more information about the block group, see here.

Shortcode

With the Shortcode block you can specify the Instagram URL by pasting it instead of LINK :

[instagram url= LINK ]

Using this shortcode you get the same result and when placing the URL (i. e. of the Instagram block) , but it does not need to be placed on a separate line.

The shortcode can also be used to change the size of the inserted post. By default, it takes up the entire width of the content area, but if you add a width indicator to the shortcode, it can be reduced to 320 pixels (the minimum size for insertion).

For example:

[Instagram URL = Link Width = 320]

Using Instagram to increase traffic

Are you already using Instagram to grow your audience and increase traffic to your blog? With millions of users, the Instagram social network offers great opportunities for attracting new readers, establishing contacts with like-minded bloggers and other partners in social networks.

Using hashtags

Hashtags in captions or comments help new followers find your photos on Instagram (as well as your other pages on the web, such as your WordPress. com blog). Hashtags are very active on Instagram - you can find almost anything here and meet people who share your interests: from #street art to #travel and #cooking.

Use hashtags wisely! Don't tag the photo with every conceivable term, like #art #street #wall #paint #city #urban (and so on ad infinitum). It is better to focus on meaningful tags to attract people interested in meaningful and deep communication, both on Instagram and WordPress.com.

Get a Personal plan

Showing your true self is a great way to reach interested readers. Most of us love to peep and peek behind the scenes, which is why Instagram feeds are especially popular, featuring photos from real life.

Share moments that make up your day, such as a repair you're currently doing on your own (but not yet ready to blog about), or the kind of mess you just made in the kitchen by making a horribly wrong cookie (#culinary failure ). When you've completed a renovation or baked a lucky cookie, blog about it and share the winning photo on your Instagram page, including a link to the post with all the details.

Enhance site content

Share not only snippets of your daily life, but also photos taken from individual posts.

  • Did you blog during your last vacation? Pick the best photo from your trip and post it on Instagram, and include a link to your blog text in your caption for those who want to click through to your website.
  • Do you have a post with a lot of images but little text? Make a collage with PicMonkey.com or Instagram's Layout app.
  • Are you a book reviewer or beauty blogger? Share a stylized image associated with your blog post and use it (along with a few relevant hashtags) to get more attention for your post.
Include a link in your bio

It's important that users can easily navigate from Instagram to your site. Since Instagram doesn't allow active links in captions or comments, update the link on your profile so that users can follow it to one of your posts or pages.

In the image below, Lorena from Cravings Journal has changed the link on her profile to point to her latest blog post:

You can go ahead and create an Instagram landing page on your own site. You can link to this page as a permanent part of your Instagram profile.

To do this, publish a new page named Instagram with the URL YourSiteAddress.wordpress.com/Instagram . On this page, it is recommended to place a short greeting, links to the most popular posts or pages, as well as recent posts. Then add this link to your profile and your Instagram followers can quickly check out your site on this page.

Regardless of how you link your Instagram profile, the most important thing is to keep it up to date and make it as easy as possible to move from your feed to your blog.

No matter how you customize content and share your life on Instagram; The best way to connect with potential readers and new friends on social media is to be yourself. Share images you'd like to see in someone else's feed, and don't post so often that you want to unsubscribe from your own feed.

WordPress & Instagram Integration - Plugin Overview

With over 1 billion users, Instagram is one of the fastest growing social networks in the world in many industries. From fashion to music, and from cooking to fitness, companies in these markets are turning to Instagram to showcase powerful photos that connect not only with Facebook, but also with Twitter.

One of the reasons why Instagram is such an exceptional tool for brands is its simplicity. You can take a picture with your phone, add a beautiful filter, and post online without connecting to a computer. This format is not only faster than many other social networks, but the result is an image that looks professional and creative at the same time. Since your company may already have an Instagram account, it's a shame not to use this content on your website. Luckily, some of the best WordPress Instagram plugins are almost as simple as the Instagram platform itself.

So what's the point of posting Instagram photos on your WordPress site?

  • Instagram photos are often much more intriguing and vibrant than regular website photos.
  • You have the ability to moderate your Instagram content from one place . With many plugins for WordPress Instagram, you can reply to comments and set photos without leaving the website.
  • This gives you a reason to submit user-generated content to Instagram . You can ask for photos near your store or photos of your product in use around the world. They then go to your website to see new customers.
  • The Instagram feed on your site increases engagement because people can stay longer at to view photos.
  • You have the opportunity to increase the number of followers on Instagram, because people visiting your site may not have thought to follow you on Instagram.

And these are just a few of the reasons why this Instagram feed works for your company's website. It doesn't matter if you run a retail store or a global e-commerce brand. Giving your followers high-quality photos via Instagram is only the beginning, but using that subscription to improve your site makes your social strategy so much stronger.

Once you start looking for a plugin, you will realize that there are dozens if not hundreds of options. So we've put together a collection of our favorite WordPress Instagram plugins. So you can narrow down your search and choose the one that works best for your brand.

1. Instagram Feed

The Instagram Feed plugin is a great place to start your search because it's an insanely easy plugin to set up, with the tools to display your photos and even link multiple Instagram accounts. Another reason I like it so much is that it's completely free for most of the features you need. However, you have the option to pay for the Pro version for $39 or $79, depending on how many sites you need to support. As for the features provided in the pro version, you will get additional elements such as a pop-up lightbox for a better view and the ability to display posts with a hashtag. The only reason to consider the pro version is so you can show image captions and get video support.

Overall, the Instagram Feed plugin is a great way to increase social engagement, save time, and keep your site fresh. No coding is required and all you need to do is sign up for a non-private Instagram account. What's more, the plugin reacts to people seeing your photos when viewed on mobile devices. The plugin also has shortcodes allowing you to link to multiple Instagram accounts if you have more than one. Shortcodes are also great for embedding a channel in multiple places on your site. So you can have one on your homepage and also have a feed on some of your blog posts.

Features of Instagram Feed

  • Instagram Feed does not require payment for the basic plugin. It's free and most of the features you need are in this basic plugin. Plus, the premium version is affordable.
  • The Instagram Gallery is fully customizable, with the ability to style your site, select columns, control the width, and reorder these photos.
  • It offers a "Load More" feature to show all your photos. This way the entire channel stays smaller for most of the time and doesn't slow down your site, however people can see everything if they want to.
  • The plugin has some powerful tools, but it keeps everything in a simple package. You don't need to be an advanced WordPress user or programmer to get the right result within minutes.
  • You can get more control and make advanced customizations with the custom CSS module.
  • He shows the Follow button to increase his Instagram followers.
  • You can even place a title at the top of the plugin module for further branding.

2. WD Instagram Feed

With the WD Instagram Feed plugin, you can create a beautiful Instagram gallery with interesting effects, such as a caption lightbox. These captions are included in the free version, so it's a nice bonus compared to the Instagram Feed plugin we talked about above. The free version also provides a small package with options for username and hashtags, browser layouts and images, and support for unlimited channels. The pro version offers several additional extensions and built-in tools.

Here's how pricing works:

  • Personal - $25 for one domain support and six months of access to extended support and updates.
  • Business - $40 for three domains and one year of support and updates.
  • Developer - $60 support for unlimited domains and one year of support and updates.
  • Instagram Feed WD Premium - This plan contains everything from previous plans plus all 60 premium WordPress plugins from Web Dorado. If you need premium plugins for your website or have a web design business, this is a solid deal.

All plans come with four stunning galleries, as well as pop-up slideshows with effects, unlimited channels, advanced image filtering, and great styling tools with themes.

WD Instagram Feed is a time-saving plugin with full control over how it looks on your site. You can mix feeds from different sources or messages from the same account. Filtering is great for building your Instagram portfolio.

If you're wondering about the main differences between the free and premium versions, here's what to expect if you're paying for premium. First, several other layouts are provided, such as masonry and blog style. Metadata such as tag, comments and likes will be displayed in the feed. There are quite a few other features to consider, but I especially like the 15 lightbox transition effects.

Features

  • The WD Instagram Feed Plugin provides some of the most powerful filters and feed combining tools to create the best viewing experience.
  • It has a free version for the extremely powerful Instagram feed with widgets and lightbox functionality.
  • The premium version starts at just $25 and you have the option to get all the premium plugins from Web Dorado for $99.
  • Two default themes are provided to you with a free plugin.
  • Several customization tools are provided for adding a follow button, enabling comments, changing the layout, and more.
  • The plugin has a feature to merge feeds from multiple Instagram accounts. Thus, if you have some kind of flow or want to include your personal channel in your business channel, you have this option.

3. WP Instagram Widget

If you don't like the idea of downloading a plugin with all the styles included, then WP Instagram Widget is the right plugin for WordPress Instagram. It's stripped down completely to a basic level, which means the developers leave it up to you to style the channel gallery with your own CSS. So you might consider this plugin if you either don't want any style (super simple) or if you are a more experienced developer.

However, this type of approach has many advantages. On the one hand, you can customize the gallery however you want. Second, it means the plugin won't slow down your site or cause too much clutter.

Features
  • The plugin doesn't have preset styles, so you need to tweak and work with CSS.
  • This type of lightweight plugin is sure to keep your site clean and free of clunky plugins.
  • WP Instagram Widget is a free plugin and there are no areas where you will be asked to upgrade to a premium plugin or sign up for some addons.
  • The plugin basically functions as a widget, so you can place an Instagram feed in a sidebar and display it on all pages of your site.
  • No need to connect to Instagram API. In fact, all you need is the username and password of your Instagram account.
  • There is a special caching feature where you set certain filters to change the caching time. This is ideal for making sure that your site is running at high speed and that all the images are in order.

4. Feed Them Social

Feed Them Social has free and premium versions. The premium extension starts at $50 for a single site and goes up to $200 for unlimited sites. The main advantage of the Feed Them Social plugin is that it allows you to display feeds from all kinds of social networks. This includes Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Pinterest. Most of them are offered in premium version.

Also interesting is that the premium plugin has full support for all details from every social network. For example, the Instagram feed includes everything from a user account to hashtags, as well as photos with descriptions and comments. The main features of the premium plugin include the ability to display as many channels as you want, as well as fully responsive channels. You will also find that you get the following buttons.

Many of these basic features are offered in the free version, so most businesses should be fine, especially if they're only looking for an Instagram gallery. However, I would recommend the Feed Them Social plugin to those who want to combine feeds from multiple social networks.

Features
  • There is a free version and a paid version available.
  • You can get images from places like Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
  • All social channels are fully adapted for viewing on mobile devices.
  • You can make shortcodes for any of your social channels. The shortcode generator comes with the plugin and you can publish any shortcode anywhere.
  • Infinite scrolling and a "Load more" button consolidate channels, allowing people to see the entire gallery if they so desire.
  • You even get some sharing buttons for Facebook, Twitter and Facebook.

5. Instagram Slider Widget

Instagram Slider Widget combines two popular designs in the Instagram feed world. The first is the Instagram Widget Slider, which compresses images for the sidebar but can then be displayed on all pages. Also, the slider scrolls through all your Instagram photos so that the user sees a lot of images while browsing your website.

The second option is the frontend widget thumbnail, which is basically a gallery, but much smaller because all the pictures are thumbnails. The slider shows the 12 most recent posts on your Instagram page. You can also take advantage of the hashtag feature, which is perfect for listening to a specific topic and showing only those pictures.

Basically, the Instagram Slider Widget is one of the main plugins for WordPress Instagram on this list. There is no API required. Instead, you simply link the plugin to your user profile using your username and password. You can also sort the images if you like some of them more than others.

Features
  • This is a free plugin without any upgrades or premium versions.
  • This is more of a niche Instagram feed solution, with smaller sliders and widgets.
  • You don't need access to the Instagram API.
  • The Instagram Slider Widget plugin has a handy feature for linking gallery photos to external URLs or to Instagram attachments or posts. So you might want to consider linking to a sales page or something similar on your site.

6. Instagram Gallery

Instagram Gallery is a simple plugin. It won't surprise you with any modern layouts or creative style. However, if all you have to do is embed a gallery from an Instagram page, the Instagram Gallery plugin is a great option for you.

Oh yes, and it's completely free, no premium upgrades. The plugin links to your Instagram account after a brief installation process. After that, you can choose between gallery or carousel sliders.

This is really one of the easiest Instagram feeds you can find. You don't even need to connect to the API or log in with your username. All it takes is an Instagram username and a quick set of settings.

Features
  • The Instagram Gallery Plugin is free of charge. This is a free download and the developers do not ask you to tip, upgrade, or pay for other add-ons.
  • The gallery plugin allows you to insert widgets throughout your site's sidebar. You can also use shortcodes to place photos on your site, or simply choose other places to place the plugin.
  • The gallery format is as simple as they come. There is a white background with pictures that it pulls from your Instagram. There really aren't many customization tools, so it's perfect for beginners who might be intimidated by some of the other alternative plugins.
  • You don't need to login or refer to the API. Only a username is required.
  • Instagram Gallery offers both gallery and carousel slider formats.

7. Instagram Feed – WordPress Instagram Gallery

Consider the Instagram Feed plugin if you want spectacular effects and show descriptions and tags when users scroll through photos. The plugin sells for $24 per plugin and six months of customer support. You can also renew this support for an additional fee. First of all, the feed looks elegant and matches what you'll find on Instagram itself. This means you still retain all the metadata from your posts and styling your photos goes pretty well.

Two formats are available. One is a carousel and the other is a standard grid. You can also use post templates, which basically show an exact copy of what you would see on Instagram.

In short, the Instagram Feed plugin contains all the tools you'll need to comfortably share your images on your website. It provides multiple color schemes, customizable options, and support for hashtags, usernames, and locations. The overall customization of the user interface is close to the best I've seen, especially when compared to free plugins.

Features
  • The plugin costs only $24 and provides the most customization features of any Instagram plugin.
  • It has post templates that are designed to copy post styles from Instagram.
  • The infinite popup functionality means that when the user scrolls down the page, they will eventually see all of your photos when they load.
  • You can add call to action buttons to your Instagram posts by sending customers to the sales pages on your site.
  • The plugin supports filtering and creating galleries with hashtags, usernames or locations.
  • Some of the customization tools include common modules, color adjusters, post templates, slider and grid layouts, popups, languages, and more.

8. Instagram Widget – Instagram for WordPress

Instagram Widget sells for $19 on CodeCanyon. This is a highly rated plugin that works with both usernames and Instagram hashtags. Therefore, you can only show certain images based on hashtags. The customization tools look good, with headings and colors for those headings to tag your site. The plugin is fully responsive to be installed on all mobile devices. You can even adjust the sizes of your images when you have something like thumbnails or full screen images.

Image loading is activated when the user scrolls down the page. This way they don't have to click on any buttons to see your full gallery. Also, it should speed up your website as all photos won't load automatically.

Another reason I like this plugin is that it supports multiple languages. If you have subscribers and clients from different countries, they may appreciate the ability to translate into their own language.

Features
  • The plugin only costs $19 for a full premium Instagram plugin. This includes six months of support and future updates.
  • The Instagram Widget plugin allows you to display your photos by categorizing them by username or hashtag.
  • Customization can be done with colors, image sizes, titles, and scroll options.
  • It also supports many languages for translation.

9. Instagram Theater

Instagram Theater is sold on CodeCanyon, so you can't download it for free and test it. However, you can check out the live preview and see how it performs before you buy. However, the price of $15 for the entire plugin and a few months of support looks like a great deal. The plugin provides a simple layout, without any bells and whistles. You can create a full screen view to view images in larger versions. There is also a grid view or a list layout.

Color changes can be done instantly, giving you a well-designed Instagram feed across all your websites.

The plugin integrates directly with the Instagram API and provides Fancybox integration for an amazing view of your photos. Instagram Theater supports iPhone, iPad, and Android, and the special effects and animations are sure to get some exposure on your site. The great thing is that Instagram Theater comes with three free website templates that you can implement without knowing a single line of code. Pair that with some great customization tools and you'll find a great WordPress Instagram plugin at a great price.

Features
  • Only $15.
  • This is one of the easiest plugins considering you get three templates to start with and several layouts and other customization options for your site.
  • You can specify a tag so that only images with this tag appear in the feed.
  • There is an Instagram feed multi-user mode where you can connect multiple Instagram accounts and see all the photos in the feed.
  • Location Instagram Mode receives Instagram messages from specific locations and only shows those photos in the feed.
  • The plugin offers several effects and customization options. For example, you can adjust the effect's speed, delay intervals, and more.
  • Instagram Widget supports 16 languages including English, Spanish, French and Japanese.
  • Instagram Widget works with InstaLink, which works like a WordPress widget and works great with the Visual Composer plugin.

10. Enjoy Plugin for Instagram

Enjoy Plugin for Instagram offers a customizable gallery for your Instagram photos. You can choose between a carousel or a grid, with the added benefit of having shortcodes and widgets in your arsenal. The premium version of the plugin costs around $20 and is the only package provided. If you're thinking about upgrading to the free version, it has solid value, offering features like a widget, shortcodes, carousel, and column customization. The premium version is definitely more advanced, and the $20 price tag makes it pretty intriguing. The premium plugin supports even more shortcodes, allowing you to use different hashtags or multiple channels.

You even get some cool new formats like polaroid, album and icons. One of the main premium features that I love is the ability to click photos in the Instagram feed and send them to a different URL or to the Instagram page itself. It's a simple feature, but it's nice to have photo interactivity instead of the standard gallery. You may want to link to some of your sales pages if the products are listed in the gallery.

  • Has a free version with solid functionality. You can also pay a small fee for additional features.
  • The plugin provides impressive animations and effects, allowing you to capture the user's attention.

11. Instagram Widget by WPZOOM

Instagram Widget by WPZOOM brings you a widget that can be placed in any widget area on your site that will display a fully customizable feed of your latest Instagram posts.

You have many layouts to choose from, including a flexible full-width layout for wide widget areas, and a grid that includes as many posts per line as you need. The plugin looks best with 3 grids, 2 grids or columns. Visitors can click on any individual post to see that post and its Instagram caption, or you can select the button below your posts to follow you.

The widget's design is minimalistic - showing only your Instagram posts - so this plugin should seamlessly integrate with most WordPress themes. The design is also responsive so mobile and tablet users will have a smooth user experience. For additional customization, you have the option to tweak the design with CSS if needed.

The plugin is free, no paid upgrades. All you need is an access token, but WPZOOM allows you to generate one with a button.
