How to make instagram page popular

Instagram Success Tips: Generate 700-1000 Followers Every Week

So, you want to know how to be successful on Instagram? While there are over 800 million monthly active accounts, being an  Instagram success story is still possible.

You will be required to put in a lot of work and effort, but the outcome is worth it.

Doing so will help your account stand out and gain a targeted following. For the last few weeks, I’ve been gaining over 700 new followers every few days.

This is down to several strategies which I’ll be explaining in this article, including how I use Sked (formerly Schedugram) to plan, create, and automatically publish content. The best thing of all, these can be applied to both personal and business accounts.

Are you ready to be an Instagram success?

  1. Create the perfect bio
  2. Produce interesting content
  3. Post regularly
  4. Identify top hashtags
  5. Utilise Instagram Stories
  6. Take advantage of Instagram Highlights
  7. Cross promote friends and influencers
  8. Go Live on Instagram
  9. Engage with your followers and targeted audience

1.

Create the Perfect Bio

Before anything, you first need to make sure your Instagram bio is attractive. It needs to be able to tell your audience who you are, what you do and includes a clear call-to-action.

This is mandatory to becoming an Instagram success. Your targeted audience won’t follow you if they aren’t interested in what you have to offer and being able to tell them that within a few words is important.

Check out the below examples to get inspiration for your Instagram bio to help achieve Instagram success.

MyProtein’s Instagram Bio

As you can see from the above screenshot, MyProtein explain who they are, how you can get involved and lastly giving them some sort of value by entering their competition to win their products for free. Clear, attractive and informative.

Creation Agency Instagram Bio

Creation Agency’s Instagram bio consists of what the agency does, who they are, what they have to offer on the platform by following and also a few links for extra information. The last link takes you directly to the latest blog post.

My Instagram profile bio consists of who I am, what I do, where I’m going next and a clear call-to-action to follow on Facebook.

Straight away you will be able to identify what type of content I would likely post. This is exactly what you need to do so your targeted audience have an actual reason to follow you.

You also get one clickable link that you can add to your profile, so it’s worth putting some thought into how best you can use it. Many brands use it to link to their websites but that may not be the most beneficial way to use it.

One way you can get more mileage out of your profile link is to use a redirect URL. It’ll allow you to send traffic to any web page you want, every time you post. It’s a great way to promote different offers to your followers and the good news is, you get three branded redirect URLs for free with every Sked account as a part of the app’s link-in-bio feature.

For more detailed tips on how to set up a redirect URL and create the perfect Instagram bio, check out this article.

2. Produce Interesting Content

Now you have got a quality Instagram bio sorted for your account, it’s time to think about your content plan.

If you create low-quality boring content that just really sucks and isn’t attractive, too many words and not interesting to your audience, don’t expect to be an Instagram success.

This platform is all about content, and not just any content. It’s about sharing high-quality interesting content.

In order to succeed, you need to plan out your content strategy and create eye-catching media – whether that’s images or videos. It’s not that hard to create super engaging content on Instagram…

There are lots of tools available on the web and app stores that will help you create striking content. When I’m not using Photoshop, I’ll tend to use tools like Canva, Adobe Spark Post, Typorama or other tools on the web.

In fact, if you haven’t tried it yet, Sked’s Canva integration is a great way to add graphic design elements to your images and give them an extra ‘wow’ factor before scheduling them to post automatically.

To get started, log into your account, click on the ‘Upload posts’ option, then ‘Create banner with Canva’. This will open the Canva integration, as in the image below.

Next, upload an image (see green arrow above) and let your creativity take over using Canva’s wide range of drag-and-drop tools. You can add text, borders, frames, backgrounds, shapes, and more … the options really are limitless.

Once you’re happy with your design, click on publish, fill out your caption and first comment, then add it to your queue or schedule it to post on a specific time/date.

3. Post regularly

Posting regularly is one of the ingredients on how to be an Instagram success. This requires you to be very active. Ideally, you should be posting a least once a day.

If you can post more than that, 2-3 times a day will get you the most reach and engagement, especially to grow your account.

While it can be a pain to post several times a day, Sked comes in handy for this and automates your posting.

Just set-up your content queue and add the Instagram content. To do this, open your account and click on the ‘Setup queue’ option on the homepage.

Next, select your account, enable your queue (see green arrow below), and choose your timezone (red arrow). Then, click the ‘Add’ button for the days you want to post and set the time (blue arrow).

Now, when you add a post to your queue, Sked will automatically post it for you when your preferred time comes around.

I would also recommend identifying the best time to post on Instagram.

This also applies to Instagram Stories. You should be utilising that feature mostly every-day or when you have the chance to show off interesting content.

You could also make use of Instagram stories by promoting your latest content, telling your audience you have uploaded a new post (and in case you didn’t know, you can schedule images and videos to post automatically to Instagram Stories using Sked, too).

4.

Identify Top Hashtags

Throughout my time managing various Instagram accounts I’ve come across a lot of businesses making silly little mistakes on Instagram that really affects their chance of growth and being an Instagram success.

These little mistakes can be anything from using no hashtags to a bunch of random non-related hashtags to even no caption!

When sharing content on Instagram, it’s vital you utilise Instagram hashtags. The reason being you will maximise your chances of reach, engagement and potential growth.

For all content I share on the platform, I make sure to use up all 30 hashtags – this gives me maximum exposure.

I also make sure to do regular in-depth keyword research to find the best hashtags that will give me the chance of being featured in the top nine posts.

Instagram hashtag keyword research is very important. If you get it right and manage to rack up a lot of engagement within a short period of posting, you may even hit the explore page.

If I were you, I would start doing Instagram hashtag research and then use Sked’s hashtag manager to keep them organised. You can use it to store all your hashtags separately or in groups, which is really handy if have more than one account to manage.

It’s much easier than storing them in Evernote and having to copy-paste them all the time. If you haven’t tried hashtag manager yet, take it for a test drive and see what you think.

5. Utilise Instagram Stories

Instagram Stories can be used in various ways. It’s a brilliant feature that should be utilised regularly. Especially when your account surpasses 10,000 followers which enables you to start adding hyperlinks within your stories.

This is a fantastic way to drive more traffic and generate more business from Instagram.

You should also create polls on Instagram stories to find out specific information about your followers, for example, what type of content they prefer.

Using this feature to announce a new post is also a great strategy, as a result, you will see an increase in engagement much faster.

And you can use Sked to schedule image and videos posts to publish automatically to Instagram Stories, as well as to add clickable links. To find out how to enable story posting for your account, check out this article.

6. Take Advantage of Instagram Highlights

Taking advantage of Instagram’s recent update which includes the ability to display story highlights on your profile, is the perfect strategy for increasing website traffic.

You might consider creating a few highlights to promote and encourage your audience to follow you on other social networks.

You may decide to create a few product highlights including a hyperlink to directly buy the product or service. Use your creative mind to find interesting unique ways to increase traffic, engagement and follower growth – all of which will help you become an Instagram success.

Back to Content Menu

Cross promoting contribute to Instagram success if done right. Make use of your other social accounts to help grow your Instagram.

Share your Instagram updates on your Facebook or Twitter, consider even showcasing your Instagram uploads on your website – ASOS do a great job of this to promote their clothing. You can also automate your Instagram uploads directly to your Twitter by using tools like IFTTT.

Depending on how big your account is, you should consider connecting with large accounts and Instagram influencers, ask them if they would be willing to collaborate.

However, if your account is nowhere near the same size nor the engagement ratio, then you should really consider providing value before you drop that ask.

I’ve done this plenty of times and it has really helped with follower growth and engagement. This strategy can also be done via Instagram Stories and is quite effective.

8. Go Live on Instagram

Instagram Live can bring in a lot of engagement and new followers, especially if you provide value and share it across your social channels.

If you promote it before-hand using hashtags in your story and posts you’ll most likely gather a few new interested followers wanting to see what you have to offer.

Instagram Livestreams are great for driving traffic too if your Instagram Live has racked up a lot of viewers, considering dropping in a few call-to-actions such as telling them to click the link in your bio for exclusive content.

Your Instagram Live should be interesting to your audience and that can be achieved by sharing what happens behind-the-scenes.

You could also do weekly or monthly question and answer streams, these are great for your audience to get to know you more and for you to find out what your audience likes to know about you, giving you more ideas for content.

9. Engage with Your Followers and Targeted Audience

Ultimately, being an Instagram success on Instagram also comes down to how you engage with your followers.

If you show that you are an actual human behind that profile picture and actively reply to your audience’s comments and direct messages regularly they will be more likely to engage with your content and recommend you to their friends, family and followers.

This also applies to engaging with your followers content.

Leaving a few likes, comments and following back your audience will help build positive healthy relationships encouraging engagement and trust. This can be very effective when engaging with targeted audiences. I’ve found this one of the best ways to grow my accounts.

When I’ve identified targeted accounts or competitors that have a large following, I’ll visit their followers and engage with their content providing it’s suitable.

This is very effective as they will receive a notification each time I engage with their account. For the best results, I would highly recommend spacing out your interactions.

For example, I tend to like a few of their pictures, then 10 minutes later I’ll leave a comment, 20 minutes after that I’ll possibly follow them.

This will give them three notifications all at different times, of which they would probably want to find out who I am. You will have a better chance of them checking out your profile.

If they do and they like what they see, they may engage with the content on my account and potentially drop a follow. That’s how great relationships with a targeted audience are then built.

However, I wouldn’t just stop there.

You should continually engage with them whenever you see their posts in your feed.

This will keep them engaging back with your content unless they already do. The more “human-like” your account is, the more engagement and interaction you may receive.

Get More Real Instagram Followers in 10 Steps

Instagram is the foundation of so many brands’ social presence. The platform is proven to drive traffic, support sales and engage customers.

And that’s why 59% of marketers plan to up their investment in Instagram this year.

But if you’re not thrilled with your Instagram growth and engagement, you’re not alone.

Competition on the platform is fierce as more and more brands get on board. Thing is, taking steps to grow your audience is absolutely worth it. That’s because the bigger your audience, the more opportunities to delight your customers.

Ready to tweak your presence to attract authentic and organic Instagram followers? This post breaks down how to make it happen.

10 ways to increase Instagram followers

Before we get into the nitty-gritty, this post is about building an organic following.

And yes, the distinction matters!

Some brands want to take shortcuts when it comes to trying to get more Instagram followers. We don’t pretend that pay-for-play sites exist.

That said, these services aren’t worth it for brands long-term. The Instagram algorithm weeds out low-quality accounts and phony engagement from paid bots.

But we’ll bite: there’s definitely some legwork involved in growing your audience authentically.

Doing so it worth totally worth it, though. Below are our ten best tips for getting more Instagram followers the right way.

1. Optimize your Instagram account

Before you worry about how to get followers, consider how your Instagram account is set up first.

Ask yourself: does your profile “look the part?” For starters, consider your:

  • Your Instagram bio (including your slogan, tagline and/or a branded hashtag)
  • Your profile picture
  • Your bio link (and where it points to)

These details define your brand identity on Instagram. More importantly, they impact your account’s discoverability. Building a follower-friendly account means:

  • Having a search-friendly username. Stick to either your brand name or whatever’s closest to your existing social handles. If your name is too long, shorten it to a variation your audience would recognize (ex: Cold Stone Creamery’s account is @coldstone).
  • Making your profile picture professional. An appropriately-sized logo is ideal. Any text in your profile picture should be legible on a smartphone screen.
  • Minding where you point your bio link. This is crucial for turning Instagram followers into meaningful traffic or customers. It’s your only way to funnel social traffic to your site and promotions.

Linking to your homepage is fine but not always ideal. To encourage more meaningful interactions, a social landing page that points to multiple links can help.

This gives your audience total control of how they engage your business next. That means a better experience for your followers.

The best way to optimize your account is to follow a proven Instagram marketing strategy. Download our free guide to get started.

2. Keep a consistent content calendar

Momentum matters on Instagram. In other words, you likely won’t get followers on Instagram if you post at random.

Creating content and providing value is what builds your audience. Doing so consistently is what helps you keep them. Don’t let your Instagram account gather cobwebs.

That’s why sticking to a regular posting schedule is crucial.  In terms of when and how much to post, you don’t have to stick to a set-in-stone number. Most brands post daily or near daily. This tracks our own research on how often to post as well.

For reference, below is a breakdown of the best times to post to Instagram.  “Optimal” engagement is during the mid-to-late morning and early afternoons during the week.

If you’re worried about your posts not getting seen enough, we get it. Consider how features like Stories can get more eyes on your content if it wasn’t seen the first time.

3. Schedule Instagram posts in advance

There’s no denying that brands are at the mercy of the Instagram algorithm for reach. Still, posting at the right times can still give your posts more visibility. Anything you can do to maximize engagement is a plus.

This speaks to the value of scheduling Instagram content. With Sprout’s newest tools, brands can schedule Stories, Carousels, Reels and Posts.

Scheduling content in advance ensures control and organization. Instagram scheduling tools ultimately help you hit that cadence we mentioned earlier. The ability to crosspost content from other networks helps here, too.

You can also use Sprout’s ViralPost feature to nail down your timing, too. Our platform analyzes your engagement history and identifies the best times to post.

Perfect your Instagram content plan with Sprout Social

In addition to scheduling a complete picture of your Instagram content calendar, Sprout offers even more features to perfect your brand’s feed.

Share IG-approved visuals with your team using our Asset Library, or test out our grid preview feature to make sure every aspect of your presence is true to your brand style.

4. Engage with customers, brand advocates and influencers

Figuring out how to get more Instagram followers means engaging your audience.

And one of the best ways to do that is through responding to and republishing their posts.

Enter the power of user-generated content. UGC campaigns build social proof by showing followers you’re invested in them. For example, Drunk Elephant regularly regrams their followers’ posts. They gather content with their #BareWithUs and #DrunkBreak hashtags.

Partnering with influencers with an established following is another way to grow your own audience. Content creators can get your brand in front of your target audience and build ongoing awareness for your products.

5. Avoid fake Instagram followers

There’s a big difference between fake and legitimate followers on Instagram.

We get it, too. For the sake of quick growth, it might be tempting to purchase followers.

But the drawbacks outweigh the benefits 100%. Why? Because fake Instagram followers…

  • Confuse your potential organic followers. An inactive, low-engagement account with a big following is suspicious. This can be a turn-off for fans that’d otherwise follow you and engage.

  • Provide no monetary value to your business. Think about it. Your bot followers can’t buy your stuff, can they?

  • Generate no buzz: If you have 10,000 fake followers, how many are going to engage with your posts? Does it really even matter if your posts are brimming with spam comments?

Real people have the ability to share, like, comment and engage with your Instagram posts. Additionally, real followers actually appreciate the time you spend interacting with them.

For example, Lush Cosmetics takes the time to answer questions and engage followers all the time. This results in customers regularly returning to share shout-outs and positive comments.

6. Showcase your Instagram everywhere you can

Don’t be shy about promoting your Instagram if more followers are your goal.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to promoting your ‘gram, either. Here are a few ideas:

  • Add social media icons to your website and marketing emails. Social media icons make it easier for people to find your business and help you connect with customers.
  • Feature an Instagram feed on your homepage or product pages. Many ecommerce brands have dedicated UGC feeds on-site (see below).
  • Reshare Instagram-specific content or announcements on other social channels. For example, you could talk about an upcoming IG Live via TikTok or Facebook.

7. Post content that followers actually want to see

Easier said than done, we know.

Filters. Captions. Content types. Post times. That doesn’t even scratch the surface.

There are so many variables to consider, right? It doesn’t help that Instagram’s algorithm is fickle. What works for one brand might not work for the next in terms of format and timing.

For example, some brands swear by Carousels. Others are all-in on Reels. Both approaches can work. You’ll quickly find on Instagram that some content performs better than others. This is why testing is so important.

Instagram’s native analytics are surprisingly powerful. That said, investing in Instagram analytics tools will take things to the next level.

For example, Sprout makes it easy to benchmark and analyze Instagram content across accounts. Rather than second-guess what’s working and what’s not, our reporting spells it out for you.

Be confident in your content strategy by analyzing those variables we mentioned earlier.

And if you’re unsure where to start, try analyzing your competitors. A staggering 90% of brands say that social media data helps them keep up with competing social accounts.

You obviously shouldn’t copycat your competitors. That said, you can take notes on what they’re doing or posting that drives engagement.  Sprout’s Instagram Competitors report can provide a breakdown of what’s working in your industry. A little competitive research can go a long way.

Oh, and keep your ear to the ground with new Instagram trends. That way you won’t miss out on platform-wide opportunities to hop on trending content formats.

For example, Reels are popping off right now. Our data shows that 66% of consumers want to see more short-form videos from brands. In terms of trends, Reels should be on your radar.

8. Make meaningful conversation with your audience

Food for thought: 60% of marketers use Instagram as a service channel.

The platform is perfect for going back and forth with followers. Likewise, many popular post ideas center around asking questions and engaging in a dialogue for a reason.

Off-the-cuff questions, shipping concerns or praise for products are all fair game from followers. Check out how Cometeer responds to all of the above on their Instagram posts:

Being supportive and responding promptly shows people that you care.

You’d be surprised at how your Instagram followers increase once you start acting more personable. Our Index research shows that 89% of consumers will buy from a brand after following them on social. Every interaction counts.

Again, try to respond to as many questions or comments as possible. Doing so could make or break someone becoming a long-term follower or a customer.

9. Find hashtags where your followers hang out

Instagram hashtags have been a staple of the platform, like, forever.

That said, they don’t hold as much weight as they used to.

Dumping hashtags into your posts isn’t going to net you any new followers. Especially when there’s so much noise on the platform.

Be proactive by focusing on industry-specific hashtags relevant to your customers. For example, Lashify regularly posts content to the #LashEducation hashtag. Tags are less general and competitive than #beauty. Becoming more visible within these types of tags is meaningful for brands in the right niche.

Understanding how your hashtags perform on Instagram is critical. With Sprout Social’s hashtag analytics tools, you have direct access to in-depth performance and usage data. Figuring out which hashtags to use is just a few taps away.

10. Take steps to delight your Instagram followers

When you make your Instagram followers happy, you’ll see the payoff in audience growth. The best Instagram accounts have fans and communities (hint: not just followers).

The tips below are the building blocks for a follower-friendly account. Put them into practice in a way that aligns with your brand voice and values. Avoid coming across as needy,  solesy sales-driven or robotic at all costs.

So much of how to get Instagram followers for free is about creating an authentic community. For many accounts, this means building customer relationships. Content that highlights your personality and the humans behind your brand is a plus. This includes:

  • Inspirational content
  • Humorous content
  • Re-sharing UGC with unique captions
  • Storytelling posts
  • Behind-the-scenes photos and videos
  • Posts that raise awareness for social causes

How to get more Instagram followers (the wrong way!)

Disclaimer: Sprout Social does not endorse purchasing Instagram followers. We don’t recommend services that sell followings or “Likes.”

As the social space becomes more crowded and competitive, brands are willing to take risks for the sake of instant results.

We’ll say it again: brands shouldn’t buy Instagram followers. Nobody should!

Why you shouldn’t buy followers on Instagram

Here are some reasons why buying followers to grow your account is a serious mistake.

Your real followers know what fake followers look like

Social consumers are getting savvier. Privacy concerns and social scammers have made people hyper-aware of weird activity. In short, people today are spam-detectors.

A sudden follower spike is a red flag. Not to mention having bots stink up your account with endless spam followers. This all damages your reputation and keeps you from growing an authentic Instagram following.

Fake followers bring nothing to the table

You’re probably worried about your Instagram metrics and understandably so.

That said, your follower count doesn’t mean much if your “followers” don’t drive engagement. You might look “bigger” at a glance but who cares? Consider how your engagement rate on the platform will suffer if your follower count is inflated.

If nothing else, buying Instagram followers violates TOS

No surprises here.

Consider how Meta has taken direct action against buying engagement in the past. They’ve gone as far as to shut down companies that sell likes. That’s because this practice violates the platform’s terms of service:

Help us stay spam-free by not artificially collecting likes, followers, or shares, posting repetitive comments or content, or repeatedly contacting people for commercial purposes without their consent.

Platforms for buying Instagram followers

You shouldn’t risk your account or organic followers for the sake of boosting your numbers. But if you’re dead-set on trying an Instagram followers app, we can’t stop you.

Here are some options:

Path Social (Web)

Path Social’s platform is intended for influencers looking to grow their following. Touting “no bots, no fake users” and an AI-powered platform, the tool markets itself as being legit.

Followers & Unfollowers (Android)

This Android app identifies mutual followers and non-followers. This makes it easier to go on following and unfollowing sprees. Of course, doing so can be a red flag to Instagram.

Reports + Followers Tracker IG (Apple)

This Apple app has a similar function as the one above. In short, you can track mutuals and non-followers in one place.

How are you growing your Instagram following?

Listen: getting more followers on Instagram isn’t going to happen by accident.

And despite what you might have heard, there’s no silver bullet solution for making it happen.

The tips above can help you build the foundation for an organic following that actually engages with you. Putting these tips into action is so much easier with a powerful publishing and analytics tool like Sprout.

How to become popular on Instagram from scratch and without cheating

If you are a beginner blogger and dream of becoming popular on Instagram, but don't know how, read this article. We will tell you what will help promote your account, and what you absolutely cannot do.

1. Decide on a goal

Ask yourself why you need popularity on Instagram at all, and what criteria of fame suit you personally? How many followers do you need to be happy? Are you going to earn on your account? Why people become Instagram bloggers:

Advertising: 2VtzqwCpaPT

  • Promote yourself as a person and then monetize your talent . Some bloggers become popular solely due to their charisma. The brightest ones are noticed, invited to shoot in various shows, and contracts for advertising are concluded with them. For example, Nastya Ivleeva first became famous for her vines. Later, she was invited to become the host of the Eagle and Reshka program, and now she can often be seen in advertising and various programs + she is constantly being interviewed.
  • To make money on the blog . Someone opens an account solely for the purpose of selling ads on their profile.
  • To promote yourself as an expert . You can be an expert in some field, for example, a psychologist, stylist, physician, builder. Popularity on Instagram will increase your value as an expert - as a result, you can attract more customers, raise the cost of services, conduct online training, sell books.
  • As a hobby . Some bloggers just do what they love and want to share it with others. That is, initially they do not set themselves the goal of making money on Instagram. Of course, as their popularity increases, they also begin to switch to monetization.

2. Refuse cheats

Do not use cheats on Instagram. Any. Generally. Just forget about them. The same applies to mass following, mass looking and other mass activities. And do not be fooled by the temptations and enchanting results that cheat services promise - social network algorithms have stepped forward a long time ago and instantly calculate black promotion methods, blocking dishonest bloggers.

So you have to do everything on your own. But there will be more motivation to focus on the quality of the content.

3. Make Stories

Now stories on Instagram are the main type of content with their own atmosphere. Unlike the feed, where everyone is trying to make the photo prettier, with stories you can not bother much and just be yourself - anyway, they disappear after 24 hours. In stories, it is easier to interact with the audience - to find out their opinion, ask for advice, just chat on any topic. And new stickers appear regularly for them. You can not only record short videos, but also broadcast live.

High engagement in stories has a positive effect on account promotion in general, so if you want to become popular, be sure to make stories and analyze statistics on them in order to understand in which direction to move.

You can still make money on advertising in stories, but in order for advertisers to pay attention to you, you need to make high-quality videos and have a solvent audience in subscribers.

4. Use graphic editors, templates, video makers

This will help you improve your content and bring your ideas to life. From editors we recommend Snapseed, Facetune, VSCO Cam, Noir Photo, Afterlight, ColorSplash. Photoshop templates and masks are sold on marketplaces like Graphicriver. For video makers, check out our Top 10 Video Makers article.

Photo processed in the editor:

5. Actively interact with the audience Their presence, number and speed of appearance show how engaged the subscribers are in the content. If the algorithms of the social network understand that the page is interesting, then they begin to promote it.

Several ways to motivate subscribers to interact:

  • make an engaging post: ask a question and ask for an answer in the comments;
  • offer to ask questions to you - to give answers to the most interesting ones in new publications;
  • arrange games for subscribers in posts and stories;
  • hold competitions;
  • use social network features that increase engagement, such as a poll sticker or quizzes;
  • to raise relevant topics in posts that will be actively discussed in the comments.

Yes, of course, there are popular profiles with closed comments and even without photo captions, but, as a rule, their subscribers come from other sources, for example, from YouTube. It also happens with the profiles of famous people - they do not need to bother with the audience, the whole world already knows them. For example, Jennifer Aniston has only 28 publications with a minimum amount of text and more than 30 million followers on Instagram.

6. Follow the trends

Trends in the world and social networks are constantly changing, but you must always be “in the know”. Follow current events, read those who predict trends, see what competitors are doing.

In 2020, Instagram is relevant:

  • virtual masks, like in Snapchat;
  • useful concise texts;
  • IGTV and vertical videos;
  • content with a focus on value;
  • naturalness;
  • video subtitles.

Here's an example of a post that focuses on value:

7.

Make the most of Instagram

The social network is constantly evolving and coming up with new features. Follow them and be sure to use them - subscribers are very active in responding to any new product.

Each new feature of the social network pleasantly increases the reach and increases the involvement in the content. There's a new sticker for stories - make it one of the first videos with it before it becomes mainstream.

For example, Instagram has launched a new challenge sticker, and so far few people know about it, but we have already written step-by-step instructions and ideas for challenges on Instagram.

8. Promote your profile wherever you can

In other social networks, in a personal blog (if any), in other communities. Now you can get a lot of free traffic from TikTok - attach a link to your Instagram account to your profile.

If you don’t have an account on TikTok yet and don’t know what kind of social network it is, go read our publications on this topic: everything and even more about TikTok.

9. Make a branded ribbon

This means branded profile design, reduced to a single style - certain colors, fonts, filters, creative graphic elements. Branded design attracts attention more than just beautiful photos. You have your own unique style.

This is a must-have for bloggers who promote themselves as a specialist.

You can peep examples of branded design from commercial accounts, an example is @advensys.ru.

10. Pay attention to the quality of the photo

Yes, at first glance, the advice may seem banal, but whatever one may say, everything on Instagram is decided by visuals. And if you are unknown outside of social networks, then you can not count on popularity with bad photos.

  • buy a good camera or phone that can take good pictures;
  • take several similar photos to choose the best one;
  • for indoor shooting, buy studio lighting - inexpensive selfie rings with Led backlight are now in vogue;
  • try to take natural pictures - constant posing gives a fake;
  • process photos - we already wrote about editors above;
  • get a Bluetooth remote control - it allows you to take photos from a distance, helps out if there is no person nearby who can take a picture of you. The camera must support the Bluetooth function for the remote to work;
  • when posting photos, think in advance how they will be combined in the profile gallery;
  • do not copy other people's pictures, show individuality.

By the way, you don't have to bother with stories like that - anyway, they disappear after 24 hours, unless you save them in Highlights.

The most important tip of : remember that really cool Instagram accounts stand out with a single theme and a unique recognizable style. And also, that everything takes time - it will definitely not work out to become popular in a week.

Content:

  1. Creating an Instagram business account: name, avatar, biography
  2. How to take beautiful photos for Instagram using your smartphone
  3. the main content is photography and video.
    Cafes, restaurants, boutiques, flower shops and all kinds of activities that can be “beautifully photographed” have long been making money from just one Instagram account.

    This is not only an opportunity to share photos and videos with friends, but also a powerful tool to support brand loyalty, the ability to be closer to customers, know their interests and attitudes towards your product.

    It is not necessary to rent an office, equip a store or have an Internet site to start a business, sell goods or provide services. A systematic approach, a little creativity and you can earn money with just one page on Instagram.

    Before you start promotion, you need to do the preparatory work. Competent filling determines whether your buyer will find the product or service of interest on your page.

    Let's start with the creation of a "skeleton" for the Instagram Online Store.

    1. Creating an Instagram account: avatar, title, biography

    Getting to know your account begins with a description of the page and a photo in a small circle: a catchy avatar, page title, a description of what you do and how to contact you.

    How to come up with a name for an Instagram business account

    Most likely, you have already come up with names for your business. Remember that on Instagram, the profile name is always written in Latin.

    The name is the name of the brand, semantic power in one or two words; it is what describes your activity; what the user will score in the search to buy your product.

    Need ideas for a company name? Read the article How to choose the right company name.

    It is best if the nickname matches the names of the company and does not contain unnecessary words and commercial messages (official, the best, shop, etc.). It is also good if you have one nickname for all social networks. It will be easier for subscribers to remember or find you:

    All social networks are consonant with the name of the Lamoda online store itself.

    Avatar

    Do not neglect the principle of “dress by clothes”.
    Avatar is the main recognition attribute of your profile. The person by which you will be met, remembered and fall in love. The picture should be clear and not contain unnecessary details:

    In the example above, the manicure studio adheres to the principle of simplicity and minimalism: picture and text on a white background.

    A small size photo won't fit many elements, it will look out of place and incomprehensible to the subscriber:

    The flower shop uses an iconic logo, but the picture is cluttered and the font is chosen so that it is difficult to read the name. A photo as an avatar for a business account is also not the best option: the small size does not allow recognizing details or faces.

    How then? How to look aesthetically pleasing for a subscriber at the first meeting, not to be full of your already established subscribers in the list, while perfectly conveying the essence of the activity?

    The company logo is fine, but with a slight modification. The thing is, for the logo to look great on the profile page, it needs to fit nicely into the circle. How to do it?

    Can be made by hand using graphic programs. Or create with Logaster and download a ready-made logo for Instagram. The required logo size is 110px x 110px.

    How to create a logo online? The Logaster service will help you choose a logo from a dozen options for the name of your business:

    You can change the font, color, arrangement of elements to create a unique and adaptive logo for Instagram:

    After editing, save the created logo.

    An avatar that is pretty in every sense should contain information that the subscriber needs. After all, it is by the description that a person will determine whether he is interested in your activity.

    How to fill in your Instagram profile information:

    Add or edit this information by clicking the "Edit Profile" button at the top of the page. You need to clearly understand what exactly is important for a person to see on the page he is interested in: and provide this information in the description (products or services of the company, address, slogan, etc.).

    1. Profile picture;
    2. Biography;
    3. Telephone number;
    4. Email;
    5. Geodata.

    Instagram page descriptions

    Research shows that we remember 20% of what we read and 80% of what we see. But as information develops, people stop perceiving everything superfluous. Even if you have placed important information between the lines, a person can simply scroll through it. You have 5 seconds to grab the attention of a potential customer who has landed on your page for the first time.

    Make sure that the required information is filled in the profile:
    • company name;
    • a brief description of what you are doing;
    • contacts;
    • coordinates;
    • link to the site.

    If even before creating a profile you figure out how to correctly fill in the necessary information, then upon completion, you can safely forget about the need to update your biography or contacts. What certainly can not be said about the content itself. Here you need to always be in trend and be creative. Since photography is something that must be liked by potential customers of your business.

    2. How to take good photos for Instagram using smartphone

    All previous work will be appreciated and effective with good content on your page. In order to create it, it is not necessary to be a photographer, have expensive photographic equipment or turn to professionals.

    Here it is enough to know 3 basic rules of photo content:
    1. Use a smartphone with a good camera;
    2. Take pictures in daylight;
    3. Always use the same photo editing filters to create a unified account style (we'll also talk about mobile photo editing apps).

    Decide what mood the profile conveys to your reader: calmness - pastel colors, minimalism (suitable for textile stores, children's clothing, etc.) or rich colors - energy, expression. To make the photos in the profiles harmonize with each other, place light, dark or photos with color accents in a checkerboard pattern:

    Of course, this is not necessary and creating your own unique profile will be better than generally accepted templates. But if you are just starting out and there are no ideas yet, you can use this one.

    Remember that a new user always pays attention to the profile as a whole, and not to individual pictures. And your subscriber is in the photo in the feed. Make sure to keep both of you interested.

    3. The best applications for photo editing and delayed publications:

    VSCO is a good set of ready-made filters. Choose the one that best suits your product. Experiment with multiple photos and filters. Do they harmonize with each other?

    Download VSCO on iOS

    Download VSCO on Android

    Lightroom . Helps create a unified white balance on your Instagram profile.

    Download Lightroom for iOS

    Of course, the program has much more potential, we advise you to study it to create your stylized account.

    Snapseed . The program will help create an exposure or highlight the accents in the photo.

    UNUM . Create profile photo layouts before they are published:

    Photos taken and processed. But this is half the work on the post. The next step is a description or text.

    Text in posts

    Decide on the purpose of your presence on Instagram: is this a platform from which you want to sell, or a customer connection tool (suitable for existing stores. Here Instagram is not the main source of sales, but in the future it can increase them significantly).

    There is an option to hire a copywriter or SMM specialist. But the owner may well manage the business account. After all, no one knows your product, its properties and capabilities as well as you.

    In fact, there is nothing difficult in writing texts for product posts. But still, always “try on” the text for yourself: what a person should think after reading and, most importantly, what to do.

    In the text, give real benefits to the person, not characteristics that may not always be clear. For example: you sell portable batteries for phones. In the description you write 1000 mAh. But not always people know how much it is. And if you write: “1000 mAh - up to 5 phone recharges” - a potential client will evaluate whether the product suits him and save him from unnecessary thoughts. Here he sees the value of the battery and its application to his needs.

    A post should always contain a call to action: order, buy, call.

    Avoid template words and applications in the text: “best quality”, “lowest price”, “unique production”, “reliable service”.
    Replace them with the actual properties of the product:

    • “best quality” for “80% of the composition is steel”;
    • “low price” - always write the real price, comparing yourself with competitors;
    • "unique production" - we make orders based on your preferences;
    • “reliable service” - 5 year warranty.

    Without water, with real use cases.
    In posts, try to balance between commodity posts and useful content. So you will look like an expert in the eyes of the reader, become an authority, build a trusting relationship.

    Hashtags

    Hashtags for the page are necessary for easy search of the necessary posts.

    Alternatively, place a post with your categories in the profile header with an active link (instead of the company's website):

    Create your own unique hashtags:

    These work well for a range of products. For example, the tag #cupcake_Instabakery: the subscriber will be able to quickly find all the cupcakes you offer.

    Geolocation

    Decide where you want to sell your goods: if it is outside the city and you have an offline store, geolocation is definitely needed.

    But if you go to an audience outside your region, it's better not to set the location. This can scare away potential consumers. They will think that it is far away and will not pay attention to the product. Even if he interested them.

    Forget manually posting every day!
    All successful pages automatically post prepared content.

    Automate your posting as a beginner entrepreneur: spend 1-2 days on photos and texts. The scheduler will publish finished posts at the specified time and date. The Instagram page will be regularly updated with previously planned content.
