1. Open WhatsApp on your iPhone or Android device and tap "Chats," then tap on the group that you want to delete.

2. Tap the word "Group" at the top of the screen.

Let me tell you that you can only delete the WhatsApp group if you are a group admin.

First of all, to delete a WhatsApp group, you would need to delete all the participants and then only you would be able to exit and delete the WhatsApp group. 

Now let us see the step by step procedures of how to delete a WhatsApp group as an admin from desktop and smartphone in detail.

  1. First of all, open WhatsApp and then select the group you want to delete.
  2. Hit on the “GROUP NAME” at the top of the screen.
