How do you suspend your facebook

Deactivating & Deleting Your Account

What happens if I permanently delete my Facebook account?

You won't be able to reactivate your account

Your profile, photos, posts, videos, and everything else you've added will be permanently deleted. You won't be able to retrieve anything you've added.

You'll no longer be able to use Facebook Messenger.

You won't be able to use Facebook Login for other apps you may have signed up for with your Facebook account, like Spotify or Pinterest. You may need to contact the apps and websites to recover those accounts.

Some information, like messages you sent to friends, may still be visible to them after you delete your account. Copies of messages you have sent are stored in your friends' inboxes.

If you use your Facebook account to log in to Oculus, deleting your Facebook account will also delete your Oculus information. This includes your app purchases and your achievements. You will no longer be able to return any apps and will lose any existing store credits.

Pages that only you control will also be deleted. If you don’t want your Page to be deleted, you can give someone else full control of your Page. You’ll then be able to delete your account without deleting the Page.

What if I don't want all my content deleted, but I want to take a break from Facebook?

You can take a break from Facebook and temporarily deactivate your account. When you temporarily deactivate your account:

People won't be able to see or go to your Facebook profile.

Your photos, posts and videos won't be deleted.

You can still use Facebook Messenger. Your profile picture will still be visible in your conversations and people will still be able to search for you by name to send you a message. You will continue to appear to friends on Facebook in places where they can message you.

You will not be able to use your Facebook account to access Oculus Products or your Oculus information.

Pages that only you control will also be deactivated. If your Page is deactivated, people can’t see your Page or find your Page if they search for it. If you don’t want your Page to be deactivated, you can give someone else full control of your Page. You’ll then be able to deactivate your account without deactivating the Page.

You can choose to come back whenever you want.

How to deactivate or delete your Facebook account

People worldwide use Facebook to connect with friends and family, and to engage in pointless debates with strangers over moderately amusing cat videos. But while some feel that the social media platform is an essential part of life, others find the data scandals and privacy issues disconcerting. For those who wish to take a break from Facebook either temporarily or permanently, instructions for deleting or deactivating your account are below.

Deleting your Facebook account

Removing Facebook for good is easier than you think. Follow this link to the page that allows you to end your account permanently. The cons of deleting your Facebook account

Deleting your Facebook account can certainly feel liberating. You don’t have to worry about managing your privacy or consuming seemingly endless social media content. But rather than a permanent deletion, some people prefer to take a break from Facebook by deactivating their account for the following reasons:

  • You won't be able to access Facebook again unless you create a new account.
  • It’s impossible to use Messenger without a Facebook account.
  • Some accounts that you entered through Facebook Login may malfunction. You may need to contact those apps and websites or create new accounts.
  • You’ll permanently lose your data unless you download a copy.
  • You’ll lose your app purchases, achievements, and more related to your Facebook login on Oculus.

Can you undelete Facebook if you change your mind?

Facebook says that it needs up to 90 days from the start of the deletion request to remove everything you've posted permanently. It may even keep some data in backup storage for legal issues as part of its data policy. It also offers a 30-day grace period after you erase your account. Here is how to cancel your account deletion within 30 days:

  1. Log in to your Facebook account.
  2. Hit Cancel Deletion.

Deactivating your Facebook account

Deactivating your Facebook is a temporary measure. After you deactivate your account, your Facebook page, including your intro, photos, friends, and posts, is hidden. No one can send you friend requests either. However, your messages are still visible to their recipients. Here are some advantages of deactivating your Facebook instead of deleting it:

  • Your photos, videos, and posts are hidden but not permanently deleted.
  • Facebook Messenger is still fully accessible.
  • You can still access accounts through Facebook Login.
  • You can reactivate Facebook whenever you please by logging in.

What happens when you block someone on Facebook

Gone are the days of fighting someone, you could just stop talking to them and move on. Now that social media plays an important role in our lives, the fight is not over unless we take action online as well.

Facebook users will either unfriend this user or block them. While suspending someone is a simple matter and only removes them from your list, blocking someone is complex.

You may be wondering what happens when you block someone on Facebook? Well, luck is on your side because you have landed on the right page. Here we will tell you about everything that happens after blocking someone on this social networking site.

Let's get started.

What happens to old posts, comments, likes, etc.

When you block someone, your old posts and comments are hidden from view - whether on their timeline or elsewhere. Similarly, their posts, comments, likes, etc. will disappear from your feed. Everything between you and the blocked person will disappear from your point of view. However, all these things will still be visible to others.

Note: Facebook doesn't remove this content, it just hides it all.

What about new messages, comments, likes

Blocking someone practically hides your profile from each other. You cannot access their Facebook profile page at all. This way, neither you nor the blocked person will be able to create a new message on each other's timeline.

Similarly, you won't be able to see each other's posts and comments on shared pages.

Can a blocked person search your Facebook profile

No. When you block someone on Facebook and if they search for your Facebook profile, you will not appear in Facebook search results. Likewise, if you're looking for a blocked person, they won't show up in your search results.

Sometimes, a blocked person may appear, but clicking on the profile will result in a blank page.

Can a blocked person access your profile through Google search

Facebook profiles are also available in Google search results unless you have changed your privacy settings and hidden your profile from search results.

So if you have blocked this person and they search your name on Google or another search engine, they will be able to see your profile link (URL), but if they are logged in, they will not be able to see your profile. If they log out of their profile, they can see your public profile or anything public on your profile.

Pro tip: To prevent your profile from appearing in search results, go to Settings > Privacy > Want search engines outside of Facebook to link to your profile? Take it off.

What happens to shared photos or posts from mutual friends?

After you block someone, you won't be able to read each other's comments, even if you can both comment on a mutual friend's post or photo. This is because after being blocked, Facebook hides your profile from each other.

If your mutual friend posts a photo of you or the person you blocked (tagged or not), both of you will be able to see the photo because the content belongs to the mutual friend.

Now if a mutual friend shares a message or photo from their wall on their wall, what happens? In this case, the blocked user will not see the content of the shared message.

Are the tags visible?

You can't tag a blocked person like they do. And if a mutual friend tags either of you, the other person won't see the tag or their name.

What happens to stories

Once you block someone, they won't see your ephemeral stories on Facebook or Messenger - even if you haven't blocked them on Messenger. The same applies to your side.

What about general groups

Things are a little different for groups. While you or the blocked person won't be able to add another person to the new group, you'll still be part of the shared groups. And oddly enough, a blocked user can see your comments and posts in public groups, but you can't view anything related to them (posts, comments, likes, etc.). These things are hidden.

Can you text and call on Facebook Messenger

No. When you block someone on Facebook, you both lose the ability to communicate (call and message) with each other on Messenger in private chats. You can still chat and see messages in group chats. When you join a group that a blocked user is a member of, you will be notified.

However, if you only block them on Messenger, you can still view their Facebook profile and interact with them on Facebook. This is because blocking on Messenger is different from blocking on Facebook.

What happens to old messages in Facebook Messenger

Blocking someone on Facebook will not automatically delete old messages in Messenger. However, you won't be able to interact further than in general group conversations, as mentioned above.

Why can I see someone on Messenger but not on Facebook

This means the person has deactivated their Facebook profile. Because Messenger can be used without a Facebook profile, they still show up in Messenger.

Another reason could be that they blocked you on Facebook. You can only see the message thread in Messenger, but not chat with them.

People are notified when you block them

None. Facebook doesn't send a notification when you block someone.

Does your friends block you?

Yes. Blocking someone removes them from your friends list.

Can you block on Facebook without unfriending them

I wish it could, but it's not unless you only block them on Messenger. This way, you will still remain friends on Facebook.

What happens when you unblock someone on Facebook

When you unblock, you can view the other user's public profile, new comments, likes, tags and other things. You will even see old comments, posts, tags, etc. that were hidden when you blocked the user.

You can continue the interaction again. However, since blocking deprives them of their friends, unblocking them will not restore the connection. You will need to send them a friend request.

Any blocking exceptions

Yes, you can see the person you have blocked in some third party games and apps that create them, and the Facebook block does not apply there.

Permanent block on Facebook

None. You can always unblock a person as shown below.

Here's how to do it:

Goodbye friend!

Blocking someone on Facebook disconnects them from you in a virtual way. That is, you no longer exist for them and vice versa. It also has other disadvantages. I would suggest either removing the person from participation or limiting your profile to them before making a drastic block move.

You can get blocked by negligence, but getting out of it is quite difficult. We figure out why advertisers are usually blocked and how to avoid it in order to save time, money and nerves. Going from the simple (can happen to anyone) to the complex (a danger to even the most professional advertisers).

105 511 views

The main principle: the site checks not only your ads themselves, but also where they lead (page, site), and you as an advertiser. Blocking usually occurs due to several actions, but in case of serious violations, one is enough.

Now let's look at the points.

Facebook profile blocked

But do not forget about personal profiles, because this is the basis of any of your activities within the site. Without a personal Facebook profile, it is impossible to create a business page. Also, specific people profiles are associated with your Business Manager - they are assigned different levels of access. Blocking personal profiles can cause problems in the future, including preventing you from unlocking your ad account or accessing Business Manager.

Why Facebook blocks personal profiles

  • fake name;
  • fake account that passes the user off as another person;
  • systematic violations of Facebook community norms;
  • using the profile for illegal activities (for example, advertising of prohibited goods).

If the profile is blocked: fill out the form. If you have seriously violated the rules, Facebook has the right not to restore the profile.

Facebook advertising account blocked

Account ban causes an increase in activity suspicious for Facebook. Here are some important rules to help you avoid this.

Be sure to set a profile photo, add a valid description, and make a few posts. Facebook must be sure that you will not advertise anything prohibited and that your business is not connected with this in principle. Lead the page so that it is clear what you are selling.

Check Facebook's advertising policies and remove any organic content that may violate them before running ads.

BOARD

The profile must not contain questionable content

  • Don't post too many ads in a row

Let's start with an example. You have always spent a certain budget on advertising, but you have come up with a great promotion and want to spread the word about the offer to as many people as possible. You are ready to invest in a campaign and allocate a budget that is 5-7 times your usual budget. Campaigns are running, and suddenly your account is blocked.

What went wrong because you did nothing wrong?

If the activity in the ad account increases dramatically, Facebook becomes suspicious. Usually scammers who hacked into an account behave like this: they run a lot of ads for significant amounts in order to unscrew as much as possible at someone else's expense.

Any increases in the budget and number of announcements must be made gradually. Prepare your accounts in advance: add a budget smoothly within a month or two, upload creatives for moderation before the expected start of campaigns.

BOARD

  • Obviously, but still: do not advertise prohibited goods or use prohibited practices

Check the Facebook Advertising Policies again. Advertising should not offend users, affect them psychologically, or mislead about the operation of your product.

Pay attention to 18+ content, there are many nuances here.

Also be careful about showing people's characteristics in a negative light with before/after (fat/thin, bald/haired, flabby/tight figure) – this is common in beauty salons, fitness centers and other service industries .

Facebook Advertising Policy Violation Examples

  • Monitor ad rejection

Repeated ad rejections, especially those with additional violations, lead to account suspension. Ads accumulated in the account, the blocking of which you have not challenged, spoil the reputation of the account.

If you are sure that you have not violated anything, submit your ad for re-moderation. If there are violations or support has denied you, be sure to remove the disapproved ads.

Check the reputation of all your accounts regularly. This can be done in the Account Quality section of your Business Manager. Watch out for notifications about ad blocking: in Business Manager, mail, or emergency notifications in Telegram (you can connect using Aitarget One).

BOARD

Facebook account reputation check

  • Do not advertise different businesses from the same account

A common mistake advertisers make is umbrella accounts. These are accounts that advertise different businesses (these can be brands with different sites/pages or multiple clients if you have an agency).

Here is an example: you have a beauty salon that you have been successfully advertising for several years. You have a store of related products - with a separate website, name and page on Instagram. Your new brand needs a separate account. If you use the current one in which you are promoting the salon, you will be blocked.

Facebook blocks an account if it promotes several different brands at the same time

According to Facebook rules, a separate ad account must be created for each advertiser (or client), and you cannot change the advertiser in the account. Umbrella accounts are unfortunately almost impossible to unlock. It's not worth the risk: create a new account through "Company Settings".

BOARD

How to create a new Facebook ad account

  • Check the website

As we said before, Facebook checks not only ads, but also where they lead, so as not to misinform the user.

The site should work correctly. Also, the products on the site must match what people see in the ad: do not try to change products to bypass moderation, Facebook will immediately recognize this, there will be problems.

Facebook bans account if ads mislead users

If your ad account has been blocked: contact support here or via chat. Be prepared to provide additional details if support requests them. If violations are nevertheless found when contacting support, you need to correct them, and promise the support employee never to break the rules again.

By the way, if Facebook rejects an ad, you see a notification about the reason (in the account or in the mail), but if the account is blocked, the reasons are not reported to prevent block bypass.

When blocking an account, do not create new ones - most likely, they will also be blocked. In this case, it’s better to have a backup account created in advance so as not to waste time waiting for an unlock (you can check if you can create multiple accounts in Business Manager in the “Company information” section, the line “Ad account creation limit”). Blocking several accounts is potentially already a ban for the entire Business Manager.

IMPORTANT

Business Manager blocked

Blocking Business Manager is the worst thing for an advertiser, because you can lose a pixel, audiences, all accounts, and ads running before blocking. As a first step, Facebook usually prohibits the creation of new accounts in Business Manager where it has found violations, but it's best not to go that far.

  • Keep track of your balance

Your account's reputation is damaged if Facebook can't charge your card for ads. When this happens regularly, it can cause Business Manager to be blocked.

Keep track of your card balance, don't forget about VAT and adjust for currency rates so that there is always enough money to debit. Or pay in rubles from the current account of an individual entrepreneur or legal entity without surprises and surprises - through Aitarget One.

BOARD

  • Do not neglect account blocking

If your accounts are blocked, apply for an unblocking, analyze what the problem is, and try not to violate it again. Each Business Manager has its own limit of allowed blocked accounts, which depends on the size of the business, but it's better not to risk it.

If you are granted access to accounts that have been suspended, your Business Manager's reputation is affected. Don't forget to keep track of partners' assets.

ADVICE FOR AGENCIES

  • Do not create a fake/work/general profile for all employees

The algorithm will suspect that you have been hacked and will block you. Personal profiles of your employees should be added to Business Manager (with different roles depending on tasks). Facebook can verify the authenticity of profiles and ask you to send official documents, such as a passport. If the data does not match, you can lose Business Manager forever.

  • Do not forget to block personal profiles

If blocked profiles are added to Business Manager, it will ruin its reputation. Remove employees who leave the company immediately to avoid problems.

You must have at least two employees with administrator rights. Only administrators can manage business data, payment information, accounts, add new people and assign roles to them. If the administrator is the only one and is blocked, it will not be possible to restore access to Business Manager.

BOARD

If Business Manager was blocked : nothing original, you need to write to support. Prepare the entire list of blocked accounts - it is quite possible that the algorithm was wrong, and BM is subject to recovery. Do not delay contacting support: if a lot of time passes, the account may be permanently deleted, and it will no longer be possible to challenge it.

General action plan for any blocking on Facebook/Instagram

It's best to prevent problems, not solve them. Be sure to read the Facebook Advertising Policies inside and out before running an ad.

If the blocking still happened, the algorithm is as follows:

Emotions can overwhelm, but you should not give them free rein (and even more so, be rude to support).
