Did you know that 21 Instagram influencers received letters from the FTC last year for not properly disclosing their sponsored posts? It was a part of their crackdown on misleading influencer marketing.
If you don’t want to join their ranks, it’s vital that you disclose any posts that’s paid for by a brand. One way you can do that is by tagging your branded content.
In this article, we’re going to show you how to do just that by explaining how to tag branded content on Instagram.
We’ll be walking you through the whole process, from setting up branded content tools in your account to tagging business partners in posts and stories.
Let’s get started!
Table of Contents
What’s Instagram branded content?First, let’s clarify exactly what branded content is. Instagram defines branded content as “a creator or publisher’s content that features or is influenced by a business partner for an exchange of value.”
The key phrase here is “exchange of value.” While the most obvious example of branded content is when an influencer is paid a fee for publishing a sponsored post, money doesn’t always have to change hands.
For example, a brand may send an influencer a gift in exchange for a product feature on an Instagram post. This would still be classified as branded content, since there’s been an exchange of value.
Every time you partner with a brand to promote their products or services, in exchange for some sort of compensation, you’re legally required to disclose that relationship under regulations by agencies such as the FTC and ASA.
Disclosure regulations can vary in different countries. Read this article to learn more about how to disclose sponsored content in the UK and US. For the Nordics, use this article.
What are Instagram branded content tools? Now, you know what branded content is. But how do you mark it as sponsored?
That’s where Instagram branded content tools come in! You can use it to tag your post as “branded content.” Once you tag the post, a label is added to the top that says “Paid partnership with [brand].”
It’s important to note that some regulatory agencies require that the brand content tag is used in addition to a written disclosure in a caption or story. So be sure to check your local marketing and advertising guidelines to ensure you’re properly disclosing your brand collaborations!
In addition to making your posts legally compliant, there are several advantages to using Instagram branded content tools. Some of the main ones include:
- Adding a layer of authenticity to your content. Having the “Paid partnership with” label on your posts can help improve your reputation so that you land more partnerships in the future.
- Enabling both you and your brand partner to view insights, such as reach, and engagement, for that post.
- Allowing your brand partner to promote the branded content via feed or story ads – if you give them permission.
All influencers who meet Instagram’s Eligibility Standards can use branded content tools. Here’s a quick breakdown of the main criteria you’ll need to meet to get started:
- You must have a Business or Creator account, which are known as Instagram Professional accounts. You won’t be able to use a Personal account. To learn more, read this article to understand the differences between Instagram Creator vs Business accounts.
- You must have an established, authentic presence.
- Your account must be in good standing and comply with Instagram’s Community Guidelines.
- You must not be a government official subject to governmental rules.
That’s pretty much it. Assuming you meet all of the above criteria, your account should be eligible.
If you’re still not sure if you’re eligible, it only takes a minute to check for yourself. To do this:
1. Tap the menu icon on the top right-hand side of your Instagram profile screen, then open “Settings.”
2. From there, select “Account.”
3. Then, click on “Branded content tools.”
4. If your account is eligible, it’ll say “You’re eligible to use the branded content tag.” Click on “Get Tools” to enable the tool.
By enabling branded content tools on your account, you can start tagging businesses in your posts.
Steps to tag branded content posts on InstagramAlright, now that you’ve set up branded content tools, let’s talk about how to use them to tag your brand partner in your feed posts!
First, the brand you’re partnering with will need to approve your account so that you’re able to tag them. They can do this in “Business settings,” where they’ll need to search for you under “Approved accounts,” to approve your account.
Once your account has been approved to tag your brand partner’s business profile, here’s what you need to do:
1. Upload your content to your feed as you normally would, add any captions or effects, and tap “Next.”
2. After adding your caption, location, and hashtags, tap on “Tag Business Partner.”
3. Search for the name of the business you want to tag.
If you can’t find your business partner in the search results, they may not have a business profile. If you can find them, but you can’t tag them, you’ll need to contact them to approve your account first.
4. Click on their name to tag them, then publish your content.
Your brand partner may also request to turn your branded content into an ad. To allow them to do this, you’ll need to “Edit” your post and go to “Advanced settings.”
There, you’ll have the option of toggling the “Allow business partner to promote” on.
Be aware that once your post becomes an ad, you’ll have limited editing options.
Steps to tag branded content stories on InstagramYou can also tag branded Instagram stories using a similar process. Again, you’ll need to make sure your brand partner has approved your account in order to tag them.
Once they’ve done that, follow these steps to tag branded stories on Instagram:
1. Create your stories as you would normally. Take or upload your photo or video and add any effects.
2. Tap the link icon at the top of the screen.
3. Click “Tag business partner” and search for your partner’s account name. Click their account name to tag them in your story.
You can also toggle “Allow Business Partner to Promote” for them to use your story in an ad.
4. Click “Send to” to publish your story post.
Once you publish, you’ll see the “Paid partnership with [brand]” at the top of your story.
Final thoughts on Instagram branded content toolsThat’s pretty much all there is to it!
You now know how to properly tag your branded content posts and can start taking advantage of all Instagram branded content tools have to offer.

How to Tag Businesses on Instagram for Better Engagement
People often overlook the practice of tagging businesses on Instagram as an engagement strategy. Small businesses or influencers are especially hesitant to embrace it for fear of coming across as spammy.
But fear not! This guide will walk you through the basics of tagging businesses on Instagram in a non-spammy way. Whether you’re a small business owner looking to boost engagement with Instagram users or an influencer promoting your business partnerships, you’ll be sure to benefit from this practice. After all, 90% of people on Instagram follow brands for a reason — they like hearing from and about them!
Quick note: this guide is about tagging within posts and mentions tags in Stories. If you want more information about location tags or hashtags, check out our articles on Instagram Geotags and creating an Instagram hashtag strategy.
Benefits of tagging businesses on Instagram
So, what exactly are the benefits of tagging businesses on Instagram? It depends on your perspective. Let’s look at the benefits from the influencer’s side first:
- Better brand relationships. If you have a paid partnership with a brand, it’s a given that you’ll tag them in your Instagram posts. However, even if you don’t have a formal partnership with a brand, you can still tag them in your posts and build a relationship based on recognition with them (which could lead to future opportunities).
- Transparency for your followers. By tagging businesses you’re working with, your followers will know exactly which companies you’re talking about. This allowing followers to avoid the hassle of searching (and potentially coming across the wrong business profile).
- Greater credibility. Just as you want to ensure your followers know which brands you’re working with, you’ll want other businesses interested in partnering with you for their influencer marketing strategy to be able to see which brands you already work with or promote.
Business owners want users to tag them for several reasons. Some of the top ones include:
- Boosts brand awareness. When customers tag your business in their posts or mention you in Instagram Stories, they are engaging in “electronic word-of-mouth” (eWOM). Studies show that eWOM, while difficult to control, is one of the most effective ways to increase brand awareness and purchase intentions.
- Increases engagement. Interactions become two-way conversations when you encourage your audience to tag you in their content. Instagram loves content that creates conversations — and two-thirds of people surveyed by Instagram said tagging enables them to have these interactions.
- Generates leads. When properly optimized, the content your audience creates can help generate more qualified leads. In fact, your business Instagram account can become an entire sales funnel.
With these benefits in mind, let’s look at how to tag businesses on Instagram to maximize those advantages.
Influencers: How to tag businesses on IG
Influencers can tag business accounts in two main ways. The first is the same way any user would tag people in their posts. The second way is using the Paid Partnership tagging feature. Let’s go over the basic method:
- Start from your profile page or the Instagram home page, then click the create button (the plus sign) on the top right corner to create a new post.
- Once you’re on the post creation screen, set up the post and write the caption. Before you publish, head to the Tag people settings.
- In the Tag people settings, you’ll be able to search for the brand you’re looking to tag in your post. If you want the tag to appear in a specific place on the photo, just tap the image where you want to place it, and the search bar will automatically appear.
- Once you find the brand account and have added them, hit Done. From there, you’ll be able to make any last-minute settings changes, and then press Share to publish and share it with the world.
You might notice an additional tagging option, “Invite Collaborator,” in the tag settings. This setting allows the brand to display the same post on its Instagram feed. The brand also appears as an author on the post if they accept the collaboration.
There’s no evidence indicating the post won’t be published if the brand doesn’t accept the invitation, but for the sake of caution, it’s best to make sure the brand (or its account manager) knows about it ahead of time.
The second method isn’t technically tagging in the same way, but the brand still appears alongside the post or Story with the label “Paid Partnership with [brand name].” For a more in-depth look into Paid Partnerships, read “How to Do Paid Partnerships on Instagram.”
Here are the basics.
- You’ll need to have a creator account or business account with Branded Content enabled in your settings.
- After that, create a new post as you would normally. But before you publish, head over to the Advanced Settings at the bottom of the page.
- From there, head to the bottom and you’ll see the Add paid partnership label option. Enable the toggle, and you’ll notice Add brand partners appears.
- Search for the brand you’re working with and hit Add. Once you’ve added the partnership, finish setting up the post for publication.
If you aren’t already an approved partner for the brand, publishing the post will send a request to them for approval. When they accept, the label will update to include the brand.
That’s it! Using Paid Partnership labels will have the same result as using a tag: clicking on the label takes the user to the brand’s Instagram profile. However, this specific method is a must if you publish branded content in exchange for value (monetary or otherwise).
Businesses: How to get customers to tag you
This section is going to be a little different. Businesses can use the above techniques to tag other brands or influencers they’re working with, but here we’re going to focus on getting your customers to tag you.
First, let’s clarify the difference between tagging and mentioning.
- Tagging accounts in posts: A link to their profile will show up within the feed post image.
- Mentioning accounts: Linking an Instagram username with the @ symbol in the caption, comments, or in Stories.
Getting tags and mentions
Sometimes customers will tag your brand in their post in the hopes you’ll acknowledge them. This is more common if your product category is visual and/or expressive.
Beyond these organic interactions, the most effective way to get customers to tag you in their posts is to offer them an incentive to do so. (The examples further down this post will demonstrate how this works in practice.) The idea is that your brand offers value in return for the effort of tagging you.
Here are some ways to provide that value:
You might be thinking to yourself, “What if I don’t like what someone has tagged me in their post or the post is inappropriate?” Thankfully, Instagram makes it super easy to remove your tag from an existing post.
- Head to the image or video you want to remove yourself from and tap on the post.
- Tap on your username when you see it pop up
- Tap Remove me from post
And that’s it; you’ll no longer be tagged in that post.
How to make the most of tags and mentions
It’s all well and good having your audience tag and mention your brand, but how can you ensure those actions help support your business goals? With Instagram Automation by ManyChat, you can run automated chatbot conversations that trigger after someone mentions your brand in their Story. From there, you can add them to a nurturing flow to help them move down the sales funnel.
For example, say your business naturally gets a lot of Story mentions, or you’re trying out one of the above ideas to encourage people to tag and mention you, but you struggle to reply to them all. ManyChat’s Story Mention Reply trigger allows you to respond to all of them automatically.
Setting up a chatbot in ManyChat’s Flow Builder is easy. All you’ll need to do is choose the Story Mention trigger in Growth Tools and customize your reply, like so:
You can create a simple “Thanks for the mention!” response, or you can build a more complicated lead generation flow like the example in the above image.
Thanks to Instagram Automation, your audience will feel heard, and you also have a chance to build your customer relationship further. All without expending any extra manual effort on your part!
Good examples of Instagram tagging
Now that you have a better understanding of how tagging and mentioning work on Instagram, let’s look at a few examples of Instagram accounts doing it right!
Val Lin
First up is lifestyle influencer Val Lin. Val’s style is all about the minimalist aesthetic; the post pictured below is a perfect example:
While this post is technically not an ad, it features seven different brands Val is personally using — all of which are tagged in the post and mentioned in hashtags. Even though Val does have Paid Partnerships with other brands, creating posts like this one shows what kind of other brands he’d be willing to work with.
Frazer Brookes
Frazer Brookes is an influential presence in the Instagram marketing community, and his experience highlights the effectiveness of the ManyChat Story Mentions trigger. As his account grew, replying to every mention, comment, and DM became a struggle, so he leaned into Instagram Automation.
Using this method alone, Frazer managed to increase engagement metrics by 40% for Stories. Even better, the response often motivated followers to interact with other parts of his Instagram content.
Biffs
Our final example comes from the Vegan “fast food” brand, Biff’s. Biff’s naturally gets tagged in user posts frequently because food is one of Instagram’s most popular content types. However, to increase brand awareness, the brand decided to run a masterclass giveaway.
Biff’s explained the entry requirements in the caption:
HOW TO ENTER:
🍗 Follow @biffs_uk and @theglassblower_
🍗 Tag a mate who you’d like to be your wingman
🍗 Share this on your Story and tag us for an extra entry
Biff’s boosted brand awareness by having entrants tag other users who might not have been aware of the brand and encouraging them to share the giveaway in their Stories. Incentivizing entrants with extra entries into the giveaway is also a great strategy to convince them to make the extra effort.
Grow your business on Instagram
As you can see, tagging businesses on Instagram is a super simple way to boost your engagement on the platform. Whether you’re an influencer or a small business owner, you shouldn’t overlook Instagram’s tagging and mention features for your social media marketing strategy.
With the help of Instagram Automation by ManyChat, you can make your mentions work even harder for you. Its robust feature set enables you to effortlessly respond to every mention, create conversations, and generate leads for your business.

On their posts, they most often tag either friends who are present in the photo, or brands whose products are also present in the photo. In both cases, your post will appear in the tagged account in the "Tagged" section. If the account that you mark as closed, then your photo will be seen only by those users who are subscribed to the marked account.
nine0003Thus, any user who logs into your friend's account, for example, can see your joint photo and go to your account. The reach is also given by the marks of friends and brands, but in the second case it is many times more. Even better, if you not only take a photo with the brand's products, but also write a review or rank the top products that you like. Then it is more likely that the brand will publish your post in their account and tag you.
Content that users create for other users is called UGC. You can read more about how UGC content works, what it is and why brands need it in the article “How UGC content works on social networks”. nine0004
To tag an account while publishing a post, click "Tag users", select the area on the photo where you want to mark. For example, if you want to tag a brand of glasses in a photo, click on the glasses. After a new window will open with a search bar, find the desired account and select it.
If you want to tag an account in an already published post, open the desired post, click the three dots in the upper right corner and select "Edit" to edit the post. In the lower left corner, click on the little man. Then you know what to do. nine0004
If your post did not appear in the account that was tagged, it means that the account owner has enabled pre-moderation and manually adds tagging. Either he didn't approve of your mark, or he simply forgets to check for new marks. The switch to manual tagging was provoked by spammers who randomly tag accounts on contest and other posts.
How to tag a person on Instagram in the comments
Since it is impossible to tag a friend in a photo in other people's posts on Instagram, it is important to tag him in the comments. Thus, you can draw the attention of a friend to some kind of post, most often humorous. Or fulfill the condition of the contest - tag friends in the comments to the post. nine0004
To tag a friend in an Instagram comment, open the desired post and type the account name followed by @, for example, @livedune. You can tag up to 5 accounts per comment. Users you tag will receive tag notifications.
Track mentions of your account to respond to user content in time.

How to tag a person in your story on Instagram
The traffic in the Stories section is not inferior to the views of the feed, so many promotion mechanics have spread here as well.
For example, holding contests in which the user must screenshot something, post it in their Stories and tag the account of the contest organizer. Mutual PR with another account or the same UGC. There are two ways to tag in Instagram stories.
Method 1. Upload/take a photo/video to stories, click on "Aa" in the upper right corner. Type the name of the desired account through @ and select the desired account. nine0004
If an underline does not appear under the name, then the account name most likely made a mistake, and the mark will not be clickable.
Method 2. Almost the same as the first, only a separate “Mention” sticker is used for marking. You can change the background of the sticker, otherwise there are no differences.
10 accounts can be marked in one story. The tag is clickable and anyone viewing stories can go to the account you tag. The account that you tagged will receive a notification in Direct about the tagging and the opportunity to add this stories to yourself. nine0004
Instagram tags can be used to increase the organic reach of your account. For example, by marking accounts of brands whose products are present in the photo.
Or you can create several Instagram accounts for each product/service (if you don't have a website and a small number of products, otherwise you'll be tormented) and tag them in the main account. By the same principle, you can create a quest game, for example, as @gla_build_your_own did. This is a prime example of how you can use seemingly primitive functions on Instagram in a non-standard way. nine0004

Instagram tags - how to make them and what they are for
A tool that allows you to mention who you are with in a photo or video, thank you for a product or service, take part in a contest, advertise a product or promote on Instagram * is called marks.
Let's consider the moments connected with marks in Instagram*:
- what does mark in Instagram* mean;
- how to tag on Instagram*;
- where to see your own and other people's marks on Instagram *; nine0158
- how to use people and business tags on Instagram*.
We know that there is a special software that massively tags people in photos, most often in competition photos, to attract attention. We do not recommend using this method, because of the almost 100% risk of losing your account.
What does a tag on Instagram mean*
A tag or mention on a social network means that someone wants to draw the attention of another person or account to a post or Story. nine0004
For example, you are posting photos from a party and you want the attendees to pay attention to them. Yes, you can write to them personally and tell them that you have published photographic materials on your profile. Or you can tag each person in the photo and they will see everything for themselves.
Or you went to a cafe and liked it so much that you want to tell as many people as possible about it. Tag the cafe account in the photo from there, and your task is completed. Very often, cafes hold promotions when they give a discount for the next visit for such mentions. After all, it's free advertising for them. nine0004
How to tag on Instagram*
You can mention a person or account in a photo or video in a post, in Stories, in comments.
How to tag an Instagram story*
Social Stories has two tools for this: the Mention sticker and plain text.
Start posting a Story and select a photo or video. Go to stickers and select "Mention". Start typing the name of the account, and everyone with that beginning will appear in the tooltips below. Choose the right one. nine0004 Instagram* offers three styles for this sticker: gradient on a white background, white on a transparent background, and rainbow. Change the style by simply clicking on the sticker
If the standard three styles of mention design do not suit you, write a mark in the Instagram story * in text.
Start posting stories and select a photo or video. Click anywhere on the screen or on the letters "Aa" at the top - in the center of the screen the cursor for entering text will blink. Start writing the name of the profile you're tagging with the @ sign, and continue without spaces. If you write correctly, hints with accounts starting the same way will pop up again from the bottom. Choose the right one. nine0004 You can style the mention with text as you like: with one color, and with a gradient, and change the font
How to make a gradient on the text in Stories, we told in the article "10 new tricks in Instagram* stories".
For those who prefer to work from a computer and don't mind preparing stories in advance, the SMMplanner scheduling posting service will help.
Register in the service and connect your Instagram account*Selecting "Schedule a story" will take you to the Stories constructor. On the first tab, specify your account and the time when the stories will be released. On the second, select a background, add a photo or video. In the third tab "Stickers" write the text using the "Text" sticker. nine0004
Make a mark on Instagram* in the Story by selecting the "Mention" sticker.
In the window that opens, start typing the name of your Instagram account* and use the prompts to select the one you need. Now it remains only to beautifully arrange the inscription and choose a design option for it.
When you're done, click "Publish" and the Story will appear in your account exactly at the specified time.
How to tag an Instagram post*
A post can have the following tags:
- on photo or video;
- coauthor's mark;
- mark in the text with @.
There are no difficulties with the latter: when writing a caption for a photo, put the @ sign and write the desired account name without spaces. If it is written correctly, after the publication the name will be highlighted in blue and will be clickable.
Instagram photos and videos* are tagged as follows.
Start posting a new photo or video to post. On the Add Text page, select Tag People. A window will open in which you can do two things: add a tag or add a collaborator. nine0004
Click "Add tag", start typing the profile name and the social network will suggest suitable options. Select the desired one and the label will appear on the image.
Where the mark will be on the image is up to you. It can be easily moved to any placeClick "Invite Contributor" and put a mention in the same way as adding a tag. The difference between a simple tag and a co-author tag is that if another person confirms authorship, your post will have a second author, and this post will automatically appear in the feed of that person. nine0004
You can find out if another person or account has agreed to become a co-author by looking under the published post.
Find out that you have been invited as a co-author, as follows: in the "Actions" section in your account, you will see a message about the mark. Once inside, there will be an invitation below the image. If you are subscribed to the person inviting you, a notification will also be sent to DirectWith the help of the SMMplanner delayed posting service, it is also easy to mark a post.
Select "Schedule Post" and go to the window for scheduling a new postAdd text, photo, and on the image in the lower left corner, click on the bust of a person. Add a mark in the window that opens.
By the way, if you want to congratulate your friends on holidays with the help of a mark, use our Info Cause Calendar and make your friends happy with unexpected congratulations :-)
How to tag comments on Instagram*
You can tag Instagram* in the comments to a post or in the text of the post itself. nine0004
When you want to draw someone's attention to someone else's post, tag the person in the comments and they'll get a notification. Start writing a comment under the post with the @ sign and then type the name without spaces. In the tips of the social network, find the one you need and click on it. Add a comment and post.
You can also share a post like this: click on the airplane under the image and select from the list of friends to whom you will send the postWhere to see your own and other people's marks on Instagram *
View tags on photos and videos in the feed, regardless of whether it is your profile or someone else's, as follows:
- on the profile page on Instagram * go to the "Marks" section, the icon on the far right above all publications;
- here you will see all non-hidden posts that have tagged you or another person if you are on someone else's page.
View tagged Instagram Stories* otherwise.
They are displayed in Yandex.Direct and come to you as a new message. But only if you follow the person who mentions you!Mentions of you under posts in comments are collected in the bottom menu of the application, "under the heart" in the "Actions" section.
How to remove tags on Instagram*
Select the post in the tag section that you want to remove yourself from. Go to the publication, click on the circle in the lower left corner of the image, then on your nickname that appears in the picture. nine0004
You will appear below in the "In this photo" block. Click on yourself, and select "Remove me from publication" from the menu that opens.
Here you can also hide this photo from your profile, but the tag will not disappearHow to edit and hide tags on Instagram *
Mentions and tags are essentially the same thing when you register someone else's account somewhere . But the social network divides these concepts. Mentions are when you are mentioned through the @ sign. A mark is adding your nickname to a photo or video in the feed. nine0004
Manage mentions in settings. Go to Privacy - Mentions.
Here you can prevent people from mentioning youManage flags also in privacy, but in the Publications section.
Set up who can tag you Here you can specify whether you want to approve all tags manually. If this is not set, all publications with tags will be automatically displayed in your profileWhen there is a manual moderation of tags, tags for review will appear here. In this section, you will see all unviewed posts with a tag. Click "Edit" and add, hide, or remove posts. nine0004
How to use people and business tags on Instagram*
Now that you know how to tag people on Instagram*, it's time to learn how to use them.
Tag your brand on Instagram*
Brand tags and mentions have several positive aspects:
- you instantly “tell” subscribers where the dress, armchair, or cat bed is from;
- you create additional advertising for your favorite brand; nine0158
- you will probably end up on the brand's blog, and your post, along with others, will be in the tags section, and possibly where they will be published in stories, if the brand has such a practice. All this will bring you new readers;
- you can get a discount or a gift for a review, and even a promotional offer.
Product catalog
Suitable for accounts with a large product catalog. There is one main account on which work is being done with the audience, the buyer is “warming up”, work is underway on engagement and coverage, and there are technical accounts for individual products. On such pages it is told only about these positions, how to order, how much it costs. nine0004
A famous catalog case is Ikea. We made several account-pages in which we divided the products into areas: tables, lamps, textiles; and the traffic was directed to the main account.
In another year they broke down the products by price. There is a main account that links to Ikea_399r, where everything is 399 ₽The same mechanics can be used to hide any unwanted content from the main account, or to transfer subscribers to a closed Instagram *. nine0004
Before the introduction of galleries, some clinics and doctors made their account beautiful and attractive, and at the same time maintained an account with medical "horror stories". With the help of tags, it was possible to show real medical stories to interested subscribers, and develop a personal account for everyone.
This is a popular technique with various multidisciplinary facilities. For example, a sports park has not only a main account, but separate accounts for a cafe, for fitness and a swimming pool, for houses for celebrations, and for a clinic at the park. In publications, they regularly mention each other by tagging photos on Instagram*There is one Instagram*-guru who created a private Instagram*-account for education, the entrance to which was paid. On the main one, you need to agree with the guru, pay for the training, and you get to a closed account where you can study, communicate with other students.
Olga Volyk followed a similar principle: there is a main account, there is an account with examples of design work, and there is a third, deeply personal account for those who do not have enough life shown in the main account. And in order to protect herself from haters, she made access to her personal account paidContests, sweepstakes, marathons
In my opinion, Instagram* most often uses the people tag to tag all contest organizers and refer to them. This needs to be done by the participants of the competition, this needs to be done by the organizers of the competition.
Marathon with marks on Instagram*The rules for holding contests are quite uniform. The organizer comes up with a contest, asks to make a repost, or a separate publication with certain hashtags and marks. Participants make such a publication within a certain time frame, the organizer chooses the winner. nine0004
Testimonials and Advertising
A fertile and broad topic of using testimonials to drive traffic to other accounts.
Get into the aggregator
An aggregator is an account that publishes other people's publications with a link to the author. As a rule, these are entertainment accounts with a large number of subscribers.
Official Instagram accounts* in different countries are aggregators, they publish the best mobile photos that came out in the last week for certain hashtags. nine0004 An attempt to get into the feed of the aggregator
This is also a calculation for subscribers who have logged into a popular account and look at photos with “him”. For example, Ikea subscribers look at marks with her to get ideas for repairs.
And fashion house subscribers watch on Instagram* how others have played some fashion item in the imageAdvertising
When advertisers order advertising from bloggers, they agree on the text and mention through @. But besides this, a frequent request is for the blogger to tag the account through the tag in the picture. nine0004
This is an additional point of contact, the credibility of a commercial account that has more tags with it than those accounts that do not have such tags. Checking people's tags is much easier than identifying a hashtag and finding publications by hashtag.
Even if you have a good product, a small amount of user posts causes distrust. Tag an account for advertising popular in stories on Instagram*If you have few user posts with your brand tag, negotiate with employees, create a personal account, and negotiate with customers to increase the number of such posts. Then run a contest that requires your commercial account to be tagged, ideally an author's post and not a repost of the contest post. nine0004
Collaborations or Instagram* gangs
Collaboration is a joint project of different bloggers, the purpose of which is to create joint content.
With the popularity of dance videos, this technique is actively used, dancers tag others in their reels, stories and feedsInstagram *-gangs are an association of several bloggers, agreeing to like and comment on each other's publications as soon as they are published. Hypothetically, this increases the organic reach of publications and may bring the publication to the recommended ones. But it is not exactly. nine0004
Mutual PR is an advertising exchange between two bloggers. As a rule, it is free and is done solely for advertising. A blogger can write about being friends with another blogger, or mention him in Stories, but in reality this is not always the case.
Quests
Gamification on Instagram* accounts is popular, but organizing quest games is rare. Quest games are very complex and costly, you need to create a game scenario, think over the awarding of the winner, take photographs or videos, register several accounts and organize linking between them. nine0004
Usually, the game starts in a separate account, and you will need to choose different steps and "jump" through other accounts in search of an exit from the game.
I selected some interesting games:
One of the first quest games from Old Spice, the game starts in a separate publication, then you need to go to other accounts.
