There are times when you do not want to go online or get involved in an unwanted conversation on

WhatsApp

. But also, you don’t want to skip updates and become completely ignorant of what’s being said or talked about. In situations like these, you wish for a feature or a work-around through which you can read incoming messages without actually opening the chat or letting the sender know that you have read a particular message. Well, there are both official and unofficial ways to do so. Let’s take a look
The official way- Turn off the Blue tick settings
If you do not want the sender to know whether you have read a message or not, then turn off the Read Receipts feature in your WhatsApp Setting. But remember, it’s a two-way street. If you turn off the Read Receipt, not only the sender but you too will not be able to know if he/she has read the message.
Steps to turn off Read Receipts

Trick one- Read message through the notification bar
When a

WhatsApp message

arrives on your locked phone screen, do not swipe it away. Unlock your phone and press down the notification bar. You will see WhatsApp messages along with other phone notifications. Tap and hold on the WhatsApp message. It will expand and the user will be able to read the message without actually opening the chat. This way, you can fool the sender into thinking that you have not read the message.
Trick two- View WhatsApp in Airplane mode
When you receive a message on WhatsApp, turn on Airplane mode on your smartphone. This will turn off Wi-Fi and Mobile data on your device. You can now go to WhatsApp and read chat messages. This way the sender will not be notified or shown any blue ticks if you have Read Receipt turned on. Remember to close WhatsApp before disabling the airplane mode on your device.
Trick three- Add WhatsApp to widget card on home screen
Android smartphone users can add WhatsApp widget cards to their home screen. This way they can read incoming messages from contacts on WhatsApp without opening the app. Readers must note that tapping on the chat shown in the widget will open WhatsApp. So they should avoid tapping on the chat if they do not want the sender to know they have read the message.
Trick four- WhatsApp web users can simply hover over a chat to read the last message
For those who use WhatsApp on their laptop, they can also fool the sender and read messages without opening them. Simply hover on the contact’s chat whose message you want to read. This will show you a floating bubble with the entire message. Note that the trick works only for the last message received in the chat.

How to Read WhatsApp Messages Without Opening or Notifying Sender

In case you are looking for a way to Read WhatsApp Messages without letting the sender know whether or not you have read the message, you will find below four different methods to Read WhatsApp Messages Without Opening or Notifying the sender.

As you must have observed, whenever WhatsApp messages are opened a blue tick mark appears beside the message, indicating to the sender that the message has been seen or read by the receiver.

This setup is useful in most cases, as it allows the senders to confirm that their messages are being read.

However, sometimes you may have your own reasons for not wanting a particular person to know that you have read his/her message. In such cases, you can actually read WhatsApp messages without opening or notifying the sender by using any of the following methods.

  1. Turn on Airplane Mode and Read Messages
  2. Disable Read Receipts and Read Messages
  3. Use “Unseen App”
  4. Use “Blue tick, last seen hider App”

1. Turn on Airplane Mode and Read Messages

One way to Read WhatsApp Messages Without Opening the App and sending Read Receipts is to put your phone in Airplane Mode and then read the messages.

1. As soon as you get the WhatsApp message, open Settings on your Phone and turn on Airplane Mode.

2. After Enabling Airplane Mode, open WhatsApp on your Phone and you will be able to read the WhatsApp Message without generating those Blue Tick Marks.

3. After reading the Message, close WhatsApp while Airplane Mode is still turned ON.

4. After closing WhatsApp, you can disable Airplane Mode on your Phone.

However, make sure that you do not open WhatsApp on your Phone, until you are actually ready to reply to the message. Opening WhatsApp will make two blue ticks appear beside the message that you just read offline.

While this method is really simple to use, it prevents you from using WhatsApp until you are ready to reply to the message or convey to your Contact that you have read his/her message.

As soon as you open WhatsApp, those 2 blue ticks will appear beside the message indicating to the sender that the message has been read.

2. Disable Read Receipts in WhatsApp

The second method of reading WhatsApp Messages without notifying the sender is to first disable read receipts in your WhatsApp Account and then read the messages.

1. Open WhatsApp > tap on the 3 dot-icon located at the top right corner of your screen.

2. From the drop-down menu that appears, tap on Settings.

3. Next, tap on Account > Privacy.

4. On the Privacy screen, scroll down and uncheck the option for Read Receipts

After disabling Read Recipts, open the WhatsApp Message that you want to read. Since, read recipts are already disabled in your WhatsApp, the sender won’t be able to see whether or not you have read the message.

The disadvantage of this method is that you won’t be able to get read recipts from others, as long as read recipts are disabled in your WhatsApp Account.

3. Use “Unseen App”

In case you are not happy with the limitations of the 2 methods as discussed above, you can make use of an App called “Unseen” to view WhatsApp Messages Without Opening or Notifying the sender.

1. Open Google Play Store on your Android phone or tablet and download the Unseen app.

2. Once the App is downloaded, open the Unseen app on your Android Phone.

3. On the pop-up that appears, tap on Ok to provide Notification Access to Unseen App (See image below)

4. On the Notification access screen, provide Unseen App with access to Notifications on your Android Phone by moving the toggle next to Unseen to ON position (See image below).

5. On the next pop-up that appears, tap on the Allow option.

From now on any new WhatsApp Message that you receive from your Contacts will show up in the Unseen App. This will allow you to read all your WhatsApp Messages without generating those blue tick marks, although the Message has been read within Unseen App.

4. Use “Blue tick, last seen hider App”

There is another App known as “Blue tick, last seen hider” that allows you to View WhatsApp Messages Without Opening or generating those Blue Check Marks, next to the read messages.

1. Open Google Play Store and download Blue Tick, Last Seen Hider App on your Android Phone or Tablet

2.  Once the App is downloaded, open the Blue tick, last seen hider app on your Android Phone.

3. On the Pop-up that appears, tap on Got It

4. On the next pop-up, tap on Let’s do it button and this will take you to the Notification Access screen on your Android device.

5. On the Notification Access screen, provide the App with Access to Notifications on your Android Device by moving the toggle next to Blue Incognito Chat Reader to ON position (See image below).

6. On the pop-up that appears, tap on the Allow option.

After this all your WhatsApp Messages will be appearing within the App and you will be able to read them without generating those blue tick marks.

Also, you will be able to reply to WhatsApp Messages from within the App (Without opening WhatsApp) – However, replying to the Message makes blue ticks appear.

How to read whatsapp group messages without the sender knowing?

Content:

WhatsApp is end-to-end encrypted, which limits other users' access to WhatsApp, and even if you managed to read it, this person can easily find out.

I just searched a lot on this topic and finally got some amazing tools that can read someone's whatsapp messages without them knowing.

Reading messages from someone's phone and marking them as unread looks different, and it's easy to understand when the unread messages don't have a number inside the green dot.

Maybe parents need this to keep track of their child's mailbox. In order to read someone's WhatsApp messages in a group or chat, you need to install the mSpy app on your device and see what someone is sending to that person or someone without knowing it. However, it is possible to view messages from notifications or search for media files in the phone's memory without the knowledge of others.

To discreetly read WhatsApp group messages ,

  • First, make sure the notification is enabled for this group and install the Shh ? No Last Seen or Read" on your mobile phone.
  • Now when someone sends you a message in a WhatsApp group, you can view those messages either in the group or in a chat right from this third party app.
  • If you read messages from this application, the other person will not know that you have read their message.

The basic step that most people follow is to simply use the WhatsApp website to view chats and messages, but this has a limitation. Let's dive into other steps:

How to read WhatsApp messages without seeing them?

If you want to read WhatsApp messages without knowing the other person, you have many options. The easiest thing you can do is just turn on the airplane mode option and then view the WhatsApp messages that have arrived on your phone, then close WhatsApp and turn on mobile data. But this process has some drawbacks, which I'm going to discuss in this article.

Let's describe how you can read WhatsApp messages without them knowing:

  • When you first receive notifications that someone sends to your WhatsApp, just turn off mobile data or Wi-Fi.
  • Now open your WhatsApp chat and read these messages.
  • Close this whatsapp on your phone from your tasks.
  • Reconnect to the Internet. When you read these messages, the person will not receive a blue tick.

But what did I see myself? I just applied this to my two whatsapp accounts for testing and when i applied the same process it actually works, but whenever the phone reconnects to the whatsapp app, the person immediately gets a blue checkmark on the read receipt.

You can tell that they won't get the correct reading time, rather they will get read receipts when the WhatsApp app connects to the internet.

But there is another way to disable the read received from the settings, and in doing so, you will also miss the read notification from someone else.

How to read WhatsApp messages without the blue checkmark

The blue tick on messages is what you get when someone reads your sent messages on whatsapp and vice versa if someone reads your sent messages you also get a blue tick on your sent messages.

For example, if you turn off read receipt in WhatsApp settings, you will never get a blue check mark, or the person who sends you messages will never get a blue check mark when you read their WhatsApp messages. Let's follow the process to disable the blue checkmark option when reading someone's WhatsApp messages:

  • First of all, open your WhatsApp and then navigate to the Settings option via the top three dot icon.
  • Now from the settings go to Accounts and then go to the Privacy option.
  • Under the privacy option, you will also see the "Read receipts" option.
  • Just swipe left to turn off Read Receipts.
Once you do this, all of your sent messages will never be marked with a blue check mark, and finally, other people will no longer see a blue check mark when you read their messages.
As you can see, even if you received a response, the checkmark did not turn blue for previously sent messages. After you swipe left, read receipts will no longer be accepted and the person will no longer receive a blue double checkmark when you read their messages.

Read WhatsApp group messages without opening the app

If you have multiple messages in your whatsapp group and you don't want to show yourself online or don't want to open whatsapp but want to read that particular group's messages as well, you can follow the steps below. which I am going to discuss in this method.

You will have two parts: first, you will be able to see text messages and other files such as images or videos, which can be easily viewed from your phone's gallery, where WhatsApp multimedia messages are saved.

Just one thing: Contacts that are in WhatsApp groups must also be in your contact list in order for the media files to be automatically saved to your phone.

It looks very easy to view WhatsApp group messages without telling them. So let's break it down in a few easy steps:

  • Make sure you just turned on notification for this WhatsApp group or it is not turned off.
  • Now when someone sends you a message in this WhatsApp group, it will be notified in the notification bar on your Android or iPhone devices.
  • When someone sends you media files such as videos or images, they are automatically saved on your phone if you set up automatic media downloads and WhatsApp group contacts are saved in your phonebook.

That's all you need to do to discreetly see messages and media in a WhatsApp group.

Read other people's WhatsApp group messages with mSpy

mSpy is the best spy app you can get for both types of iOS or Android devices. This mSpy is used to track 's online status, get notifications or hide last seen and more. In this article, if you want to view someone's messages without being visible, then mSpy can help you do it easily even from your PC or Macbook.

To view received WhatsApp messages without them knowing, just do the following:

  • Create an MSPY account with your email ID or set a strong password.
  • Download and install mSpy on target devices that have WhatsApp installed.
  • Then log in to your mSpy dashboard account with this ID and password.
  • You can now easily view other messages on your phone without knowing the sender of that WhatsApp message.

That's all you need to do with mSpy.

Applications for reading WhatsApp group messages without the knowledge of the sender

If you want to use any third party apps that can do this job for you, you can use the following apps that you can get from the Play Store. Now what this app does is it monitors all incoming whatsapp messages and saves them in its internal control panel and when someone sends messages you can view those messages and that person will not get a blue tick for those messages as you don't are originally using WhatsApp Messenger to view these messages.

1. NOT SEE - APP NOT LAST VIEWED

Functions:

  • Can record all incoming WhatsApp messages and save them.
  • WhatsApp messages, including multimedia or text messages, can be viewed through this application.

How it works:

When you read messages in this app, your read receipt will not be sent to that person because you are seeing recorded messages in this INVISIBLE app and not using whatsapp messenger.

2. SHH - NO LAST VIEW OR READ

Functions:

  • No read receipt or last visit.
  • Can view all messages from WhatsApp, Facebook without being noticed.

How it works:

When someone sends you messages on whatsapp, those messages are recorded in this application and you can see these messages in this application and they will not be notified to the specific person.

Totals:

It was clear that if you just check and don't read someone's WhatsApp messages, the person will know about it because the number in the green circle will no longer be there. So, if you are just using third party tools that allow you to track your apps from other devices, the task will be easier and KidGuard is the best tool available for this purpose.

How to read a message on WhatsApp (WhatsApp) discreetly

    • 1.2 Turning off the Internet before reading
    • 1.3 Reading messages through the desktop widget 9018 1.4 Reading through notifications on the lock screen

When you open a new message in WhatsApp from an interlocutor, two blue checkmarks appear in the messenger of the latter on this sent SMS. This means that the SMS has been read. But what if you don't want to see this message yet, but you still want to read it?

There are 4 tricks that will allow you to read a message without marking it as read.

Blocking the sending of notifications about viewing through the application settings

Before you read the message, you can turn off in your WhatsApp settings the sending of a report on viewing by you "sms". How to do it in Android:

  1. Click on the three dots at the top right. Choose from the settings menu.
  2. Click on the account section. Open the block with privacy settings.
  3. Uncheck the "Read Receipts" line.
Disable reports in the privacy settings of your account

The disadvantage of this method is that you will not be able to see whether your interlocutors have read your messages or not.

How to turn off reports in WhatsApp on iPhone:

  1. Go to the bottom of the last item "Settings" with a gear image. Open your account settings.
  2. Go to privacy settings. Scroll down to the Reports section.
  3. Turn it off using the toggle switch on the right.
Deactivate the “Read reports” item

Turn off the Internet before reading

A simple life hack for those who do not want to turn off viewing reports in the settings: before opening a dialogue with a new message from the interlocutor, turn off the Internet on your phone. How to quickly do it on Android: swipe the top curtain with notifications and icons and click on the Wi-Fi icon, mobile Internet (Data Transfer) or on the airplane icon to turn on airplane mode - then all networks will immediately become inaccessible.

On the notification bar, tap on the icon of your current internet

When you open a message, the phone will not be able to send a browsing report to the WhatsApp server.

But here you need to remember: the phone can send a report as soon as it gets internet access again.

To prevent this, you can do the following:

  1. Return to the dialog list. Press the desired correspondence with your finger.
  2. Tap "Mark as unread" in the menu.
  3. After that, turn on the Internet on your smartphone again.
Mark the conversation as unread

Reading messages through the widget on the desktop

A special widget for WhatsApp was created for Android, with which you can watch messages in full without fear of turning them into read. The downside of the method is that the widget only supports text messages and emoticons.

You can open a voice message, video or picture only in the interface of the messenger itself - here you already need to use either the first or the second method described above.

How to put the WhatsApp widget on the Android home screen:

  1. Press and hold any empty space on the Desktop.
  2. The smartphone will vibrate - click on the widgets and select "WhatsApp". Or just scroll down the bottom bar and find the WhatsApp widget there with a size of 4 x 2 * (if your Android is higher than version 5). It is automatically added to this list when you install the messenger on your phone.
  3. Drag the widget to the desired home screen. From now on, all messages that come to your WhatsApp will be displayed in its window (as a whole, and not just a part).
Install the WhatsApp widget on your desktop

Read through notifications on the lock screen

The most trivial and inconvenient way to watch sms discreetly is through notifications that come to your phone after receiving a new letter in WhatsApp. At the same time, you must have these notifications enabled in your phone settings before receiving the message. How to enable them on Android:

  1. Go to settings. Click on "Applications".
  2. Find your WhatsApp in the "All" or "Third Party" list. Click on an item.
  3. Check the box next to "Enable notifications" at the very top.
Activate notifications for WhatsApp

How to enable notifications for messages in the interface of WhatsApp itself on iPhone:

  1. Switch to the section with the gear at the bottom.
  2. Go to "Notifications".
  3. Activate the sending of system messages about receiving new "sms" in "Vatsap".
Make the "Show notifications" checkbox gray

The disadvantage of this method is that it is impossible to read the entire message. If you click on this notification by accident, the phone will open a dialogue with a new SMS. The person will mark it as read. Also, in this case, you will not be able to listen to audio SMS, view a video or a picture.
