- If the account is public, and when visiting their page you can't see their profile image, post count, follower count, or following count, and the photo grid area reads "No Posts Yet," you have definitely been blocked.
On a computer, if you type in the link Instagram.com/username (replacing the word "username" with their Insta handle, of course) and get a page reading "Sorry, this page isn't available," then you have likely been blocked, assuming they didn't delete their account.
If this page appears when you try to view someone's Instagram profile on desktop that you know exists, you've likely been blocked.

- If they create a room, you won't be able to join it.

Instagram, or any social media platform for that matter, doesn’t share with you when someone won’t allow you to see their content anymore, so how can you find out? Method 1: Search on Instagram
The first step in knowing if someone blocked you is to do a quick search for their profile. If the profile is public and you can see their posts, then you have not been blocked. For private accounts, if you see the profile with the message “This Account is Private,” then you also have not been blocked. Send the person a follow request for the ability to see what they’re sharing.
If you see the profile and the number of posts this person has shared, but the posts don’t show up in the display area, then that means that this person has manually prevented you from seeing their photos.

It’s possible that the account has been deleted or deactivated, so to confirm that this is not the case, log out of your account and perform the search again in an incognito browser. If you are able to see the profile, then you can be sure you have been blocked. If not, then the account is probably gone.

Fortunately, Instagram or any social network doesn't notify people when they are blocked.
Imagine the shock and sadness one would feel if they received a “XYZ has blocked you” notification. Ouch!
But there comes a day when we feel like someone can block us, especially when their posts and stories stop appearing on our Instagram feed. Well, does that mean they blocked you?
Probably not. The person could have deactivated their account or stopped posting on Instagram. So what's the best way to know if you're blocked?
Well, we'll let your curiosity sleep for a while as we help you decipher the block block. Before we start, let's be clear that we won't be using any third party tools as none of them work. We will only be doing some manual checks. So put on your detective coat and let's get inside.
