Why don't I receive Instagram notifications*

    There can be several reasons.

    • Notifications are turned off or Do Not Disturb is activated. In this case, you will not receive any messages at all, not only from Instagram*.
    • Notifications disabled for Instagram* only. You may have moved the desired switch in the settings curtain by accident.
    • Alert settings in the Instagram* app itself have been changed. They can be returned to their original state, and notifications will start coming again.
    • Instagram* stops working in the background due to your smartphone's power saving settings. The application will have to be added to the exclusion list so that the system does not close it.
    • Not receiving notifications due to a glitch in the Instagram app or service*. You can try to fix this by rearranging the program.
    • There are problems with the internet or the system. Check if you are connected to a mobile network or Wi-Fi and restart your smartphone.

What to do if Instagram* notifications are not received on Android smartphone

    1. Open the Instagram* application, go to your profile by clicking on your photo at the bottom right. Then click on the menu icon at the top right and select the "Settings" option.

    4. Open the shutter with the switches on top and make sure that you do not have Do Not Disturb, Silent and Power Save modes turned on.

    5. If it doesn't help, restart your smartphone. If that still doesn't work, uninstall Instagram* and reinstall it.

    6. The last item is relevant only for MIUI. Open Settings → Power & Performance → Activity Control. Find Instagram* in the list and click on it. Then select the "No restrictions" option.

What to do if Instagram* notifications are not received on your iOS smartphone

    1. Open the Instagram* app, go to your profile (bottom right button), then tap the menu icon and open Settings.

    2. Go to the Notifications section and make sure the Suspend All switch is off. Go through Posts, Stories & Comments, Following & Followers, Direct Messages, Live & IGTV, and From Instagram* and turn on the notifications you need.
