1. Open the Instagram* application, go to your profile by clicking on your photo at the bottom right. Then click on the menu icon at the top right and select the "Settings" option.
2. Open Notifications. Make sure the "Suspend All" toggle is off. Then go through Posts, Stories & Comments, Following & Followers, Direct Messages, Live & IGTV, and From Instagram* and turn on the notifications you need.
3. Open the Android settings and find the "Notifications" section there. Scroll through the list of applications and find Instagram* there. Click on it and make sure notifications are turned on.
4. Open the shutter with the switches on top and make sure that you do not have Do Not Disturb, Silent and Power Save modes turned on.
5. If it doesn't help, restart your smartphone. If that still doesn't work, uninstall Instagram* and reinstall it.
6. The last item is relevant only for MIUI. Open Settings → Power & Performance → Activity Control. Find Instagram* in the list and click on it. Then select the "No restrictions" option.
