How do you create a photo collage on facebook
How to make photo collages on Facebook
Facebook is adding an interesting new automatic collage feature, which appears when you share photos from your phone’s camera. When you tap the photos button, you’ll see automatically created collages based on the location and time you took them.
Depending on your purpose, you can create your own collage in 3 simple steps through a collage maker:
- Identify the correct dimensions
- Select a template
- Add photos of your choice
People on Facebook have notoriously short attention spans. They are using social media for entertainment and to keep up with their friends and family. If they don’t feel the content they’re looking at is accomplishing those things, they’re just going to keep scrolling or they will close the app. That’s why, as a brand, it’s extremely important you have the ability to connect with your audience quickly and tell your story.
Using our Free Online Collage Maker will allow you to communicate your brand story efficiently. By using a photo collage, you can help your audience understand a longer story with only a single glance, as opposed to counting on them to click through multiple photos in an album.
How to create a photo collage for Facebook is actually super easy, but you want to make sure you do it correctly. In this post, we’ll cover tips on how to make a photo collage for a Facebook cover photo, profile, and post so you can be sure you have all your bases covered. Before we dive in, for all of you here to create collages for personal social accounts – this is for you, too! Let’s get into details.
How Do You Make A Collage of Pictures on Facebook Cover
Most of the people on Facebook are going to engage with your content in their feeds, not on your profile.
But, the people that do visit your profile are extremely valuable. Think about it—they’ve just taken the time away from their newsfeed to check out your page, the home base of your brand on Facebook, so you definitely want to make a good impression, and your cover is a big part of that.
Here’s how to create a photo collage for a Facebook cover in three steps.
Step 1 – Get Your Dimensions Correct
Facebook covers are 820 x 312, so you’ll want to design your collage to that specification exactly so your collage will fit pixel-perfect inside Facebook.
Step 2 – Choose A Template
Next, you’ll want to use a template to get the layout right.
Templates make it easy to drag and drop your photos into place rather than have to manually layout each photo and frame. Check out our free collage maker and all the different templates—from a simple layout of just two photos to a more complex grid. Think about the story you want to tell and choose the photo grid that will help your audience visualize your brand story.
Step 3 – Add Your Photos
Now for the fun part—add your photos to your template. With Promo.com, it’s extremely easy to add photos and get them to fit into your collage perfectly.
Simply hit the “+” button and choose photos from your computer, cloud storage provider, or our library of thousands of photos.
You can search for topics that align with your brand, audience, and goals.
Once you get your photos inside the template, you can edit each one by clicking on the photo. You have options to zoom, rotate, and flip to get the perfect design.
There you have it—a pixel-perfect Facebook cover collage!
Note: If you really want to spice things up, you may want to try a video cover for Facebook. The Promo.com video cover tool allows you to get the right dimensions for your video and upload to Facebook, and it’s 100% free! You can also search our library of video clips to get the perfect footage for your brand.
How To Make A Collage For Facebook Profile Picture
Navigate to the free collage maker while logged into your Promo.com account. We suggest picking a template of the simpler grids without too many boxes. If you try to squeeze too many photos, many will show up too small for most people to see.
The process for this starts off the same as the steps illustrated above. Now that you have a killer Facebook cover collage in place, why not take that same technique over to your profile?
The size of your Facebook profile photo is 180 x 180 pixels. If you’re not sure what this will look like, you can always use our free image resizer tool to make sure you get the ideal look for your profile photo. Next, let’s look at how to create photo collages that will go out into the Facebook Newsfeeds of your audience.
How To Create A Picture Collage For Facebook Posts
Head over to the free collage maker on Promo.com. Choose your template, add your photos (or select some from our massive library of stock photos), and customize each photo. You can resize photos, add text, filters, watermarks, and stickers to bring your brand to life on Facebook.
As we mentioned in the beginning of this post, the majority of people who engage with you or your brand will do so from their newsfeed, not your profile or Facebook page. That said, it makes sense to use collages in your Facebook posts so you can apply the same storytelling techniques we covered earlier to people who run across your content in their feeds.
Luckily, the process for making a photo collage for a Facebook post is basically the same as making one for a cover or profile. And the great news is that you can double dip—this method works both for posts for your personal profile or your branded page!
As marketers, we need to learn how to tell engaging stories in order to connect with our audiences. However, because of the nature of social media, we often have very little time, few characters, and small spaces to unfold our stories. Photo collages are a great way to get your message across quickly and efficiently via social media. Both seasoned pros and first-time newbies can use the collage maker with ease.
We hope this post has helped you take your photo collage skills to the next level.

How to make a photo collage for Facebook
Facebook is still the largest social network in the world with over 1. 3 billion users. Contents 9Ol000 best smartphone photo collage apps for iPhone and android devices.
Use third party apps
If you want to upload a unique photo collage to your Facebook profile, you need to use a third party collage app and then upload it to Facebook just like any other photo. Here are the best apps to help you do just that.
Photo Blend & Shape Collage Maker
If you have an iPhone, you can create incredible photo collages with the Photo Blend & Shape Collage Maker app. There are many features that can be used to create something unique. You can make collages in the shape of a heart, an eagle, or many other shapes.
The application allows you to add eight photos from your gallery and choose the desired collage shape. Photos will be automatically cropped to fit the frame. You can then edit the collage and adjust the exposure and colors. If you're after a classic collage, you can find plenty of grid layouts. It's easy to use and the results will look great on your Facebook page.
Picture Collage
Picture Collage is one of those collage apps you must have heard of because it's everywhere. This is the perfect app if you're new to collage making because it comes with on-screen instructions that will tell you everything you need to know.
The app lets you choose between a set of grid layouts, but also has a Freestyle feature that lets you create your own frame. By choosing the photos you want, you can add text, stickers, and create your own backgrounds. It comes with built-in templates for Instagram, but you can also create fantastic collages for your Facebook profile. The app is available for both iPhone and Android users.
Photo Grid
The best part of using Photo Grid is the creation process. The application allows you to create cute collages. All you have to do is choose your collage template and add the photos you want. The Scrapbook feature lets you add text, stickers, and backgrounds to make your collage stand out.
You can also choose the aspect ratio when creating a collage, which is especially useful for Instagram. The creation process is simple, and you can even change the borders of the collage when you add photos. You can experiment with different layouts and features to create the perfect collage for your Facebook profile. The app works on both Android and iPhone devices.
Layout
Layout is a simple photo collage editor created by Instagram. It's a basic collage tool without the extra features that can often seem a bit confusing. It has a user-friendly interface, so you won't even miss the extra features.
This application allows you to quickly assemble a photo collage. Just select the photos you want and choose your collage layout. Move them left and right to rearrange them, and voila - your collage is ready! You can resize the frame to fit your Facebook profile perfectly.
The last step is to edit your design. You can replace the photo if you don't like how it looks, but you can also use the Mirror and Flip tools to make small adjustments. The Borders tool lets you change the layout. When you're done, click "Save" and share the images directly to Instagram. The app works on Android and iPhones.
PicStitch
Unlike most other photo collage applications, PicStitch allows you to make video collages. You can even add your favorite tune to tell your story the right way. Creating video collages is the same as creating photo collages. Drag the clip into the frame and use the video editor to trim the video.
You can also adjust the orientation and speed of the video. Add a filter to highlight the colors in your collage. When you're happy with your creation, click "Done" and you can download it to your device. If you want to create a standard photo collage, you can choose from many different templates and add stickers and text to your collages. Upload your creations to Facebook and watch it rain! PicStitch works on both Android and iOS devices.
Create the perfect collage for your Facebook profile
It's hard to come up with something unique to make your profile stand out on Facebook. However, making a photo collage will show everyone that you are a creative person with fresh ideas, so you can use that to your advantage.
Each of the applications we have selected has unique features that you can use to create photo collages on Facebook. Find the one that suits your needs and experiment with the features to put together an exciting photo collage for your profile.
After creating a collage with any of these apps, you need to download it to your phone. Once that's done, open Facebook, click the "Photos" option, and choose your own image from your camera roll. Tag your friends, enter a caption, use hashtags if you like, and then hit the post option.
If you are using an app that leaves dirty watermarks after downloading, you can use the phone's screenshot feature and crop the photo. This will keep the untouched, better quality version of the image on your phone.
Facebook Layout Selection
One of Facebook's new features allows you to choose the layout of your photo. While not a collage per se, it is another useful feature in your publishing toolbox.
What makes a great photo collage is not only the ability to compress several images into one, but also gives the creator the opportunity to tell a story through photos. Instead of the standard feature of tapping an image and scrolling down, this allows you to swipe and go to the next photo. Even more interesting is the image preview.
You can choose from four available options before posting photos. Just tap the "Photos" option, select images from your gallery, and tap one of the available layouts. When your friends, followers, and families browse their newsfeeds, they will merge all of your photos into one frame.

How to create a collage of Facebook and Instagram photos
Photoganic is a free online tool that allows you to create collages from photos uploaded to your Facebook or Instagram account. The tool allows you to transfer uploaded photos from accounts directly, all you have to do is share photos. Photoganic automatically selects a Facebook album as the source for the photos it uses to create collages, however, you can easily change the source album. You can also specify the number of photos to create a collage. Once your collage is ready, you can share it with others directly on Facebook or via a unique URL. How to work with Photoganic?Step 1: Using Photoganic is extremely easy. As mentioned above, Photoganic allows you to create collages from photos posted on Facebook and Instagram. It is clear that access to your photos is required. So the first step is to give Photoganic access to your Facebook and Instagram photos. The web interface of the tool has two buttons for this:
Step 2: After you have successfully logged in, Photoganic asks for permission to access your account (and therefore photos are uploaded to it).
Step 3: After Photoganic has access to your account (for example, Facebook), it will take some time to create a random collage from photos in automatic mode. The most basic options for editing the collage will also be available. See screenshot below:
Edit menu:
How would you share a collage with others?Once the collage has been created, all that remains is to save and share it with others. To save, click on Save. Photoganic saves the collage and then generates a unique URL that you can use to share your collage with others. You can also directly post your collage to Facebook.
OutputPhotoganic is quite simple, straightforward and fun to use. This is probably the easiest way to create a collage of Facebook or Instagram photos.
