While Instagram can certainly be addictive and fun, a number of users choose to deactivate their accounts at some point in order to take a much-needed break from the social media platform. How to reactivate Instagram account?

If you have temporarily disabled your account less than a day ago and wish to revive it, these steps may not work right now as Instagram generally takes a few hours to complete the initial deactivation process. Therefore, it is suggested that you wait for at least a day. However, if the account has been deactivated for more than 24 hours, you should be able to reactivate it without any problems.

Step 1: Launch the Instagram app on your device.

Step 2: On the login screen, enter your Instagram credentials associated with the account you wish to reactivate.

Step 3: Tap ‘Login’ and you’re done. This should restore your Instagram account.

Once you hit the login button, Instagram may take you to go through the on-screen instructions. Depending on how long your Instagram handle had been inactive, you may be prompted to accept the updated Terms of Use of the company or verify and update your phone number before taking you to the account.

Make sure that you have only deactivated your Instagram account and not deleted it, as it is not possible to reactivate or restore a deleted Instagram profile.

Why you should disable your Instagram account instead of deleting it

Whenever you decide to take a break from Instagram, it is best that you temporarily disable it rather than deleting it altogether. This is because, unlike deleting an account, you will still be able to retain all your pictures, likes and comments, conversations and other private data within the app.

Your Instagram profile will also stay hidden to search queries as long as it is deactivated and hence, it won’t be visible to other users. Your Instagram data will only disappear when you permanently delete the account.

If you use Instagram, chances are you're all too aware of just how addicting the social media app can become.

Whether it's scrolling through the endless feed of accounts you follow or even meticulously documenting your meals, trips, and random day-to-day occurrences on your own feed, Instagram can quickly begin to take up way more of your time than it should.

Because of this, you may eventually come to a point when you want to deactivate your account for a while so you can take a much-needed break.

Thankfully, as easy as it is to deactivate your account temporarily, it's just as simple and straightforward to reactivate your Instagram account when you're ready to come back.

It won't take more than a few seconds and doesn't even require any difficult steps. Here's what you need to do.

3. Click Login and you'll be brought to your feed and your account will have been restored to normal.

It should be noted that Instagram suggests waiting a minimum of 24 hours after deactivating your Instagram account to reactivate it, as the deactivation process takes roughly a day to complete.

In addition, you should be aware that while it's very simple to reactivate an Instagram account that's been temporarily deactivated, this is not the case with accounts that are deleted.

The deletion process is permanent and cannot be reversed, so be sure that if you plan on returning to Instagram, you only disable your account rather than deleting it altogether.

Reactivation of Instagram account by phone: instructions

Author Information

Social networks like Instagram are time-consuming, so some users prefer to disable their account for a period of time.

The problem is that account recovery (reactivation) seems to be a simple, but not obvious procedure. How to do it right - read our manual.

Important clarification. This is not about recovering a deleted Instagram account. If this still happened, refer to another instruction or simply create a new account.

Now we are talking about a temporarily disabled or blocked user account.

Instagram account reactivation

The plus of Instagram reactivation is that you can do it any time you want. However, the account recovery process can take up to 24 hours, although reactivation usually takes several hours.

To reactivate, do the following:

  1. Open the Instagram application or go to the service website through a browser
  2. Log in to your account with your login/password data by filling in the appropriate text fields and clicking the Log In button.
  3. If the login and password are entered correctly, you will log in to your account and the account will become active.
  4. If the Terms of Use text changes, you may need to agree to the updated Instagram Terms of Use again.

As you can see, everything is simple. Difficulties may arise if you forgot your password or the account was blocked not by you. Read on to find out more about these situations.

Reset your old Instagram password (if you forgot it)

Are you still having trouble signing in to your account, can't sign in to Instagram? The first thing you can do is to authenticate with your Facebook account if it has been linked to an Instagram profile page.

The second option is to reset your password:

  1. Open the Instagram app.
  2. On the start page, select the option “Forgot your password?” (Forgot password?).
  3. An email will be sent to the mail with a link to reset the password by phone or by username. Click on it.
  4. Log in to your account by entering a new password and login.

Restoring a suspended (suspended) Instagram account

Unfortunately, Instagram disables some accounts on its own. This usually happens in case of violation of the terms of use of the service. For example, if a user posted inappropriate content or committed inappropriate behavior. In these cases, reactivating the account is not so easy and not always possible.

However, there is an appeal procedure: through it, you can explain the situation and hope for a second consideration of the banned account.

So, if the account was suspended by the service:

  1. Log in to Instagram as usual.
  2. A notification “Your account has been disabled” will appear on the screen.
  3. Follow the instructions on the screen after authentication.
  4. An alternative way to unblock is through the appeal form at https://help.instagram.com/contact/606967319425038. Here you must specify your full name, login, email, phone number and, in a polite manner, the reason for the appeal (if the account was blocked by mistake).

You need to understand that if the account is blocked after breaking the rules, the appeal will not bring positive results. There is no point in apologizing, “putting pressure on pity,” inventing something that didn’t exist.

Q&A

Good afternoon. Our company has 15 Instagram accounts initially linked to one phone number. We publish posts at about the same time, with a difference of 5-20 minutes. For work, we used smmplanner and Grids recently, after publications, account blocking began (it says account not found, as if deleted altogether).

When you try to log in, it says “suspicious activity”, while the confirmation code does not come to the linked phone. We re-registered accounts to other phone numbers and were able to get a confirmation code and log in. And with the following publications, the accounts were immediately blocked again. Tell me what is the reason for this and what should we do if we have many accounts and about 5 managers who manage social networks from different devices.

My Instagram account was accidentally deactivated without violating community standards. How can I regain access to it? Thank you.

How to temporarily block and restore an Instagram account?

.

Why might you need to temporarily block your Instagram account?

  1. You want to completely block access to your account for a while (as if you deleted it)
  2. You participated in the giveaway/raffle by one of the organizers and do not want the mass unsubscribe of newcomers
  3. You suspect that your account is being massively complained about (and you are afraid of being blocked)

In all these cases, you need not only to make the account closed, but to temporarily block it. After that it will be possible to restore. You can temporarily block not only your Instagram account, but also someone else's.

Definitely! Make sure you remember your username and password for your account. Check your linked email and password. Before temporarily blocking, link your Facebook account and check your login and password from it. All this is necessary in order to restore your Instagram account later.

What will a blocked account look like? There will simply be nothing in its place. If you click on the link @accountname, it will just be a blank screen. No avatars, no account descriptions, no posts - as if there is no account. And those who were not subscribed to you, even through the search, they will not be able to find an account by login.
