One such app is ‘Sticker maker for WhatsApp’ that lets you turn any photo into a sticker.

The first step is to obviously download the ‘Sticker maker for WhatsApp’ app, available on Google Play Store. Before you get started, there are a few things to keep in mind. Firstly, you can create your own sticker pack with up to 30 stickers in one pack. Once the pack is added to WhatsApp, you can not edit or add stickers to it. So, for instance, if you have published a sticker pack with just five stickers in it, you can not add more stickers to the same pack. To do so, you will need to create a new sticker pack and add as a different one on WhatsApp.

• Open the ‘Sticker maker for WhatsApp’ app and click on “Create a new sticker pack” option.

• Enter the sticker pack’s name and author.

• A new page that lets you add up to 30 custom stickers of your own will open. Do note that the icon on top will be the tray icon or the icon which will appear as an identifier for you sticker pack in WhatsApp.

You can easily make WhatsApp stickers on Android, iPhone

Highlights

  • WhatsApp now lets you create custom sticker packs
  • You can easily make these via third-party apps
  • The sticker packs are easy to publish on WhatsApp

WhatsApp finally allows people to send and receive stickers from each other, something other messaging apps added years ago. This new development brings with it an exciting possibility — the ability to create your own WhatsApp stickers. There are multiple ways to create WhatsApp stickers, but the easiest ways are by downloading apps that let you create stickers quickly. We managed to create WhatsApp sticker packs in less than five minutes on iPhone and Android, so the process is really simple.

Before you proceed, it's important to note that the best way to create custom sticker packs is mentioned on the WhatsApp website. There are sample apps provided by WhatsApp where you can make some basic changes and submit them to the App Store or Google Play, making these your own sticker creating apps for WhatsApp. However, this is not a practical option for most people, so we went through all the steps via the easy method and have listed them below.

Please note that these third-party sticker making apps work very well, but we don't know much about their origin and whether these apps will misuse any permissions you grant. We'd think twice before granting third-party apps permissions to your entire photo gallery as that can be misused. If that's fine by you, follow these steps to create your own stickers for WhatsApp.

  6. Once you are done cropping, tap Yes, Save Sticker.

How to make your own stickers for WhatsApp on iPhone and Android

Stickers are a quick and fun way to convey your thoughts and emotions to your WhatsApp interlocutor. But not always in the standard set there is the right option. In this case, you can try to create your own set of stickers that would reflect your individual reactions. How to do this on an iPhone or Android phone is described in this material.

♥ BY TOPIC: How to properly set up notifications for WhatsApp, VK and Telegram on iPhone.

You can find many sticker apps in Google Play Store for Android. On the other hand, there are only a few such stores in the App Store for iPhone. In fact, you don't really need these third-party apps, and you don't need to be a developer or programmer to create your own sticker.

All you need is a few pictures and the Sticker.ly app, which is available for both iPhone and Android, takes care of the rest. The app has a smart background remover so you can create reaction stickers even based on your face. You will be able to surprise your friends with ingenuity.

To get started, download the Sticker.ly app on your iOS or Android smartphone. The next step is to collect photos that you will use to create the sticker. Upload the images you want or take photos that are suitable for use as the basis of a future sticker. If you are creating a set of selfie-based stickers, try to use a neutral background when shooting.

1. Open the newly downloaded Sticker.ly app and press the 9 button0009 "+" on the bottom toolbar.

2. Here you can choose a name for your sticker, as well as identify yourself as the author. Now you can press the button " Create ".

3. On the next screen, click the " Add sticker " button.

4. Now you will see the image selection tool. Navigate to the album where you saved the photo and click on it.

5. The image will open in the editor. To begin with, the application will offer to cut out the background. Click on the button " Automatically ". If your image has a clear background and foreground, the app should automatically remove all the background. And artificial intelligence is really good at this task. But if the image is complex, you can click on the " Customize " button.

6. Now use your fingers to erase or restore parts of the image.

7. If you want, you can also add text on the sticker using option "Text" . Enter text and then move it to the desired location. And at the top of the application, you can change the style of what is written. Once you are happy with the result, click the " Done " button.

8. It remains just to click on the button " Save ".

You've made your first sticker of your own. Click on the " Add sticker " button again to create another item. You will need at least three stickers to form a set of them.

Once all your stickers have been created, go to the sticker pack page and click the " Add to WhatsApp " button.

This will open the WhatsApp application with the sticker import screen. Here you can once again view all the stickers you add. It remains just to click on the " Save " button to add them to your account.

Your sticker pack is now added to WhatsApp and ready to use.

Go to the WhatsApp chat and click on the sticker icon located on the left side of the text field. In the pictures section, select your set in the top row, and then click on the sticker you need.

Your picture will immediately appear in the chat.

You can return to the Sticker.ly app to either create new sticker packs or add items to existing sticker packs.

How to create your own WhatsApp stickers step by step

To create stickers we need an application that allows you to create packs. We have chosen a sticker manufacturer, but below we leave you with an alternative so that you have a choice.

Steps to create WhatsApp stickers:

  1. Download and open the sticker maker app for your WhatsApp of choice.
  2. press Create a new set of stickers .
  3. A window will open where you can name and create the label set you are about to create. After completing the two fields, click Create .
  4. The newly created package appears on the main screen of the application. Click on it to start adding your designs personalized.
  5. As you will see, your package is empty. In the Sticker Creator you can create the icon which will appear first and be the sticker that will represent the packaging.

  1. The icon and other stickers on the package are similar. Click the icon square to start the process. First you must choose whether you want to do this with a photo taken at the same time as (Take Photo), a previously saved image in your gallery (Open Gallery) or a file on your mobile phone (Select File). If it's one of the last two options, you'll need to select the image you'd like to edit. If it's the former, you should take the picture in question.
  2. After you take or select a photo, you will be taken to the edit sticker screen. First of all, you need to select the part of the image that you want to turn into a sticker. It can be a full photo or a piece you have chosen through smart choice or hand choice (custom cut - freehand, square or round neckline).
  3. Once a sticker has been chosen, you can redo the design by clicking on Try again or add it to your gallery stickers by clicking Save . Our Lisa design is not a big deal, but it will serve us well for WhatsApp conversations.

  1. You can also add text and frame to your stickers, as you can see on our adorable SpongeBob SquarePants sticker. If you click "Add Text" in the top right corner, you can write on the sticker. To change the font and add a background to the text, play with the two buttons in the bottom left corner.
  2. If you want to further customize the sticker, add a border to it by selecting the Outline tool. You can choose both the width of the frame and its color. When finished decal, click Save to validate design and add it to your sticker pack.
  3. Finally, when you're done with your custom sticker pack, click the Add to WhatsApp button. A new window will open and confirm the action by selecting add .

By following these steps, you will be able to create all the packages you want for WhatsApp. You can divide by topics, people or categories that you prefer . Remember that every time you add a sticker to a pack, you need to click "Add to WhatsApp" again so that you can use it in your conversations.
