How to get the blue confirmation badge

Facebook's recommendations are a little different from themselves. They say on the form that they don't check profiles, but they provide an option to request just that. They also state that they do not review brands, but also claim to be one of the few groups that can receive blue verification badges. Like many other Facebook policies, their review policy is not transparent, so you just have to apply and see what happens.

Can I get a gray confirmation badge?

In theory, gray confirmation icons are for local businesses and organizations. However, I had to work really hard to find clothes that actually used it. Most local businesses just don't care.

Similarly, when I followed Facebook's instructions and tried to verify a local business in France, a local business in California, and various other pages that I administer, there was simply no way to apply for verification.

A lot is changing on Facebook at the moment, so this feature could have been removed without a major announcement. If you want to know if you can apply for the gray confirmation badge, open your page and go to Settings.

Facebook claims that a Shared Page should have a "Page Check" option. However, as you can see, I don't have that option.

If you have one, click on it and then either enter the company's phone number or click the "Verify this page with documents" button. If you use your phone number, Facebook will call you with a 4-digit verification code. If you back up your page with documents, you will need to upload a document that contains your company name and address.
