What about apps and games for BlackBerry OS 10 in 2021? / Habr
Hello everyone. This article is some addition to my previous publication. OS 10, as many of you think, had (and still has) huge problems with apps and games. There are quite a few native ones, and the Android "emulator" does not save the situation much. For the most part, this is true. But today I would like to analyze this issue in more detail and study the currently available software for BB OS 10.
Native applications
Let's start with bar programs for OS 10.
It's worth mentioning right away that there are several ways to install native applications on your device. Two cases will be considered here (installation via BB World and using a PC).
1. BB World
Frankly, one of the worst mobile app stores in terms of content (if we are talking about popular apps). Having entered the TOP programs in the store, we are presented with the following picture:
It would seem that familiar names are present. Like WhatsApp, and an incomprehensible client for Facebook, Telegram, Chrome, Instagram. But let's take a closer look at these applications.
The native official WhatsApp was closed back in 2018. Therefore, we are unlikely to find a native version. But there is WhatsUp10 for WhatsApp Messenger. However, after reading the reviews, we understand that the application has "misunderstandings" with the distribution model, and in general, most likely this is a converted apk. Just take a look at the screenshot from the store page:

1. AppNinja. Application from a domestic developer. Shows information about current applications. A useful program if you want to know what is installed on your device.
2. TAO Translator. Very good working Google translator.
3. Parrot - Voice Recorder. Good and versatile voice recorder. The full version is paid.
4.CB10. Some social network for BlackBerry users. If there are various questions regarding BB, feel free to ask them. nine0003
5. Camera++. A very functional application. A lot of shooting modes, ISO settings, white balance, video bitrate, etc.
The native application on its background looks very mediocre.
6. Alternative browsers. If native is living its last days, then these are still holding on, even though they are based on the same version of WebKit. Good alternatives include Zeus Browser, QBrowser, Browsie Browser.
