How to Delete a Telegram Contact on Windows and Web

Deleting contacts on both is similar if you access Telegram on Windows PC or a web browser.

Follow these steps to delete a single Telegram contact from your Windows PC and web browser.

Click the hamburger menu in Telegram.
Select Contacts from the menu.
Choose the contact you'd like to delete.
Click on their display picture or name.

That’s all there is to it. You can use both the desktop app and the web app to do this.

Keep in mind that once you delete a contact from the app, the contact’s phone number won’t be removed from your phone’s contacts list. All you need to do to remove a Telegram contact from your phone’s contact list is delete them just as you would with any other contact.

Even though you deleted the contact, the chat you have with that person will remain on your Telegram. If you want to delete the chat as well, you need to find the chat. Next, click on the three dots in the upper-right corner again, and select Delete Chat.

Deleting All Contacts on Telegram

You also have the option to delete all your Telegram contacts at once. Keep in mind that you can’t use the Telegram desktop app to delete multiple contacts. Instead, you need to use the web app. Here’s how it’s done:

Open the Telegram web app. You can use any web browser to do this.
Sign into your Telegram account.

Even though you’ve removed them from your Telegram contact list, their number will still be saved in your Android’s contact list. Therefore, you need to go to the contact list on your device and delete them there too.

Don’t forget to delete your chat history with that Telegram user as well if you have one.

You can do that by opening your chat, tapping on the three dots in the upper-right corner, and selecting Delete Chat.
