How do you get 2k followers on instagram
10 Ways To Get 2000 Followers On Instagram In A Month
Fun fact, over 40% of the people on the internet are active Instagram users. As of October 2019, India had the second-highest number of Instagram users numbering to 73 million active accounts. Every major brand or business is on Instagram today, promoting their products and services to millions of users every day, as each one of them is a potential paying customer. Instagram generates over 50 times more engagement with users compared to Facebook and Twitter. And the more you engage with people, the more your chances are of converting them into paying customers of your service/product.
But building a good base of genuine followers on Instagram can look like a daunting task. It does take a lot of work initially, but if you’re consistent and driven, it’ll be a piece of cake.
Here, we’re gonna tell you how to garner a decent followers’ base in a short period with these 10 steps.
1) Curated Content!
Instagram is like a digital glossy magazine that people love to browse through. The first impression that you leave on a viewer is extremely important. If you post beautiful looking pictures, catchy and relatable content regularly, not only will your existing followers engage more with it, it will start showing up on the search feeds of other users with similar interests too. It is advised that content has to be planned instead of posting them on the fly. Pick an eye-pleasing colour shade for your creatives, use only high definition pictures, and preferably with faces, as studies have shown that people engage more with your post when it has pictures of people and minimal text.
2) Hashtag Game Strong.
Hashtags play an important role in improving your visibility and reach on Instagram. Hashtags are topics tagged with a # which creates a searchable link and help you start a conversation or enter an existing one and engage with the people involved in it. The more people see your posts on their search feeds, the higher your chance of getting them to follow you. Instagram allows 30 hashtags per post, and you must pick the right ones for your posts. The first couple of them always has to be related to your brand/business names, so that identity of yours is eventually cemented with each post. You can use various free tools online like Inflact to generate hashtags for your posts based on the picture, keywords and URLs.
3) Connect and follow.
One of the best ways to get people’s attention to your business is to get into their notifications. Yes, over 55% of people check their notifications immediately when their phone/laptop chimes. And the way you can draw their attention to your brand is by following them and engaging with their posts. It’s simple, say you are a restaurant serving Mexican food, a simple search with #MexicanFoodLovers will throw up hundreds of posts of people who talk about it. Now all you’ve got to do is check out posts and profiles that have a decent engagement and following and follow them, like a few of their posts, drop a genuine comment. There’s a fair chance they’ll take note of you and follow you back.
4) Engage with followers
It is important that your followers feel like they matter to you. Not just by posting things that they like or can relate to, but by also engaging with them on a personal level on the public platform. Replying to comments, messages and shares is the best way to engage with your followers in the public view, as it not only gives you a loyal follower to the brand but inspires others who’re seeing this conversation to follow you too. Give witty replies to comments while plugging your brand with its hashtag, respond to queries in a short period, and share a couple of good reviews or appreciation posts on your feed by tagging the user. It improves your standing as a brand that’s loyal to its people.
5) Posting regularly.
Consistency is the key when it comes to being an active business/brand on social media. As we mentioned earlier, plan out your activity on social media in advance. It will not only help you post good content but also maintain a healthy engagement with your followers. If an account goes inactive for, say 10 days, it is very difficult to get back on the feeds of your followers. But when you post regularly, with the right hashtags, your posts keep showing up frequently on the search feeds of people with similar interests, thus pushing them to follow you.
6) Videos work the best.
Various studies on social media usage and engagement have shown that more than static posts, and pictures, videos get better engagement and people always prefer watching something play out on their screens rather than they read something on the posts. But we’d suggest keep it as real as possible. Because as we mentioned earlier if your content has too much graphics or text, there are more chances of it getting ignored. It’d be great if your clips are shot by professionals, but even amateur, mobile phone camera shots also garner a good response. Once you get a good followers base, going Live can also be a good option.
7) Posting at the right time.
Your posts could get maximum engagement when it gets posted at a time when maximum followers are online. And as your engagement improves, your posts get relayed to more on followers on a local and global scale, with higher chances of your brand getting more new followers. On your profile, you can study the analytics of your account, where they show during which hours were your Instagram followers mostly active. This will help you schedule your posts accordingly. This step might not guarantee you a barrage of followers immediately, but it helps you immensely in the long run.
8) Paid Promotions.
Instagram has an option to promote your post or page to a lot of people online, for a price. For brands that are new in the market and have a budget for marketing, they must earmark a share for promoting themselves on social media too. When you boost or promote any of your posts on Instagram, it lets you select your audience based on various demographic parameters like age, gender, income, interests, etc. and your goals for the promotions, as in reach, likes, followers and engagement. Once your promotion request is approved, the said post gets boosted and displayed on the timelines of non-followers who fall under the demography parameters you have chosen.
9) Tagging brands/influencers.
Yes, you read that right. Several accounts, brands and people on the ‘Gram command a massive following that sometimes runs into millions. They can make or break a business and basis of their influence. And getting positive engagement from them means you stand a sure shot chance of getting a small, but a considerable chunk of their followers too. If you’re a brand that sells readymade garments for young women. Post pictures of a person wearing clothes from your store and tag those brands. If you’re a cafe that serves excellent tea cakes, tag food bloggers and bakers. A like, a comment or a share from them means you’re reaching out to masses that follow them too.
10) Get active on Stories.
More than posts, stories grab maximum views on Instagram with both followers and non-followers. Stories have a lot of interesting add-ons like boomerangs, music, funky fonts, polls, AMAs, etc. that inspire people to engage with you. Stories can be the best engagement tools of all on Instagram and it can help you not only retain your followers but add many more too. Brands should share more stories than posts. Not all of them have to be pictures, mix and match. One day it can only boomerang, the next day can be only polls, one of the days can me Ask Me Anything or a chain of short clips about your business. Good stories get shared widely.
If you follow these 10 steps regularly, we can assure you that you will stack up a good number of followers within a month. But make sure that you do not break the cycle. Because then it becomes an uphill climb all over again.

- Growth hacks

Increasing Instagram Followers may sound like a daunting task and so people resort for unethical means like using Follow-Unfollow. Here is a list of tips I used personally to increase my Instagram following by 2k in 2 months.
Instagram that started as a fun app to share photos has grown rapidly and taken the world by storm to be among one of the most powerful tools to reach people and grow your Brand online.
Everybody along with their dogs and cats are on Instagram which makes it the perfect place to grow your brand. Even their cats and Dogs have become Instagram Celebrities and they get their owners great Business through Brand Sponsoring, Working as an Affiliate for Brands, charging per Instagram Post etc.
All you need is people engaging and interacting with your Brand on Instagram.
So, if left swipes on your Tinder profiles are more than the engagement on your Brand, the universe is conspiring you to join Instagram.
As per the Instagram statistics of Hubspot-
- Instagram has over 800 million active monthly users.
- 60% of adults online use Instagram.
- 80% of the app’s user base is outside the U. S.
- There are 25 million business profiles on Instagram.
- 50% of Instagram users follow at least one business, and 60% say they’ve learned of a product or service through the platform.
But the main challenge is “How to grow Instagram Followers?” If you do it the right way, it is not a tough job at all.
Here’s how I grew my Instagram followers by 2k in 2 months.
- Star up your Profile Name - Your profile name is your Identity, make sure you make it stand out. Your profile name should be such that it catches the attention of the person scrolling through it. One way you can do this is by using an emoji along with your name ( it can be a herb, a tick mark or any one of your favourite)
- Spruce up your Instagram Bio - You’ve only got 5 seconds to cast and impression on the onlooker and grab their attention. So, you need to make sure that you do it right. Your Bio should be visually attractive and it should be able to convey proper information about you.
Here again you can use emoji to stand out. Use less content, nobody wants to read those long comprehension passage.
For Example-
The Bio Section of viaENS clearly and precisely states what services it provides.
💻 Internet Industry Training
🔛 Websites, Search Engines & Social Media
Along with that, it also includes the statistics of the work done which adds up to the credibility of the company.
📇 Certifications

Instagram handle of viaENS
Go for the emoticons and symbols, they are eye catching. Don’t forget to include your email address, so that people can reach you easily or can contact you for collaborations. Also, if you have any special hashtag related to your Brand name, you can add that too in your Instagram Bio.
- Select a Profile Picture - Unlike Facebook, the size of profile picture on Instagram is small, so you need to be very particular of the profile picture- the colors, portrait/ Landscape etc.
Nowadays people try to take Insta photo against a vibrant mono tone wall or background because that makes the small picture stand out from the list of accounts. Choose a portrait photograph with good brightness and a high contrast.
Avoid full length photographs, otherwise you’ll be overlooked.
- Share great content - If you go through the profile of great Instagram Influencers, their feed is bright and lively with good photographs.
You want to keep following them because their content and everything they post is awesome. Some of them go to extreme levels, like following a color theme for every photo on their feed, or posting only food content, or a fixed posting time.
While we won’t go that extreme but we have started being more mindful of the images we post.
Earlier I used to post images randomly but so much content would make it look messy. Eventually I started sharing images at alternative posts and using a white template with a quote in between. This way, every image gets the attention it deserves and the feed looks clean.
Make it a point that you Publish Quality Content.
- Serve Engaging Posts- Remember how irritating it is when someone says ‘K’ instead of ‘Ok’? Exactly. Don’t post just for posting’s sake, enjoy every post and make it engaging for readers too.
It is a personal experience that posts with longer captions received more engagement compared to the posts with one liners or few words.
Engage your Audience by asking a question in your caption, or requesting some information from your audience.
- Strive to be more ‘You’ - Whether you are writing a blog post or posting anything on social media, it should be super authentic and should represent more of you.
Auto Liker and follow unfollow thing may get you more likes or followers count but it will never get you loyal followers. 10 loyal followers are better than 100 fake ones. Write posts that represent you.
For Example- If you are sharing a photograph, then in the caption area share Behind the scenes of that photograph, or how you felt clicking that. Such truthful posts gets more and genuine engagement.
- Shake Hands & Engage with Accounts that Follow you - Respond to all the comments on your posts. If someone is appreciating, it hardly takes 3 seconds to type ‘Thank you’. Responding and engaging with accounts that follow you has one secret benefit- more comments within initial hour of posting means more engagement. Moreover, it strengthens your bond with your followers.
- Start Engaging with those you follow - Make it a point that everyday you will engage with 10 at least accounts. In short, you need to like at least 10 Instagram posts everyday and comment on atleast 5 posts. Again, this will help your account get noticed and admit it, just like you want more likes and comments on your posts, so do people. Let’s make this world a better place. Let’s support each other. It is going to be beneficial and fun.
- Share Instagram Stories - Instagram story is a powerful tool to expand the reach of your Profile. Share good Instagram stories, ask questions, publish a poll etc. Publish stories more frequently. Share stories 3-4 times a day at different intervals.
Here’s the time schedule that works the best for me-
-Morning- 8 a.m (People wake up and the first thing they do is check Instagram)
-Afternoon- 2:00 p.m (This time is mostly lunch breaks at workplaces and breaks means grabbing lunch boxes, a hot cup of tea and scrolling Instagram feed)
-Evening- 6:00 p.m (This is the time when people are packing their bags, leaving workplace and oh! How can we forget, checking Instagram)
Night- 9:00 p.m ( This is the time when most people are either in their beds or preparing to get into their Bed and the day that starts with Instagram ends with Instagram)
- Start Giveaways - You can organize small giveaways or conduct small contest on your Instagram handle. This is the more effective way of getting followers because people like getting free stuff. You can set some ground rules for the contest and after it is over you can announce the winner on your page. This is a great way to build up a loyal audience.
- Set Hashtags - Hashtags Hashtags everywhere but which Hashtags to use? People aren’t a big fan of Hashtags but they work wonders. Using effective hashtags can boost your post reach and engagement incredibly which means probability of more followers.
Instagram lets you use up to 30 hashtags per picture and you should prefer using them all. The popular hashtags are always changing, so you can always google for the latest ones. One thing to note – a lot of people do not want to see hashtags cluttering your caption, so you can put them in the comments section of your own picture to hide them.
- Stalk Influencers in your Domain - It is as easy as this- Turn on the post notification for all the influencers in your domain and everytime they put up a post, be as early as you can to drop a comment and double tap their post. This increases the chance of your Instagram handle being discovered. Moreover, keep a check on the type of content they are posting and try to polish your feed accordingly.
do's and don'ts
Getting your first 1,000 is always one of the most difficult tasks in the entire Instagram promotion process. Initially, while you do not have an audience, this thousand is difficult to gain, because the mechanics of organic growth are not yet involved, that is, you cannot rely on the work of algorithms or engage in mutual PR. Most likely, marathons and competitions will also work poorly. Therefore, the question always arises, how to get the first thousand.
So, let's look at all the main options.
Targeted advertising
The most reliable option is targeted advertising.
There are several advantages of this approach:
- With the help of targeted advertising, you get the maximum target audience. You expose portrait, age, city, gender and many other formats.
- The second plus is the rapid growth. In a week, it’s really possible to attract a thousand subscribers.
- The audience that comes from a targeted ad converts well into subscribers, even if there are few subscribers. nine0016
The lack of targeted advertising is obvious - it's the budget. But Instagram is arranged in such a way that due to this high demand and high competition for the attention of the audience, the entry threshold is constantly increasing. Therefore, free tools either stop working or work slowly and not from the very beginning.
Content promotion
What does it mean? This means that you do not need to do anything other than maintaining an account. You can just run your channel, add posts, add Stories. Instagram has very limited opportunities for organic growth, but it does have hashtags and recommendations. The main disadvantage is a very slow format. Due to the high entry threshold and high competition, passive promotion works very poorly here. nine0005
Working with top recommendations
There are several tops on Instagram:
- general top recommendations in the search section;
- hashtag recommendations;
- top geotagging recommendations;
- IGTV recommendations;
- product recommendations from the store.
There are algorithms for how to get into these tops, what parameters you need to consider in order for your content to be included in recommendations.
External promotion
External promotion means that you are leading an audience to Instagram from other sites. It can be other social networks, online in general or offline. For example, mailing to your customers. If you have a base of subscribers and customers - for example, their e-mail - you can tell that you launched Instagram by adding specific incentives for subscribing: talk about discounts, new products, give recommendations.
What else is related to external promotion? These are announcements in other social networks. The best conversion can be obtained from YouTube, Telegram and TikTok. These are three sites that convert very well on Instagram. This includes both online and offline events. nine0005
What NOT to do to promote your account
Commenting
There is such an approach as commenting (not to be confused with mass commenting) - you comment on the accounts of bloggers who are opinion leaders in your industry. The comment must be substantive - you must read the post, express your opinion and be sure to argue your point of view. The comment will gain reactions, rise. People will want to go and see your account.
Why is it better not to resort to this method? First, it is a manipulative tool. If you give actual value in this comment, it reduces the manipulative format, but there is an aspect of it nonetheless. Secondly, it is labor intensive. You need to write a lot. This is a job comparable to writing individual posts. nine0005
Bots
Bots cannot be used not only at the start - at any moment of your profile life on absolutely any platform, bots should be an absolute taboo. And here the question is not in the ethical side, but in the fact that an account can be banned for their presence, or they can greatly reduce the reach of the audience. This is a guaranteed way to “kill” your account forever. You will never get rid of this, you will never be able to catch and delete these bots later, because many of them look like real people, and even special services consider them to be real people. Therefore, this is a direct path to blocking or serious sanctions. nine0005
Giveaway
Giveaways are special formats of contests, within which a huge number of non-target audience comes to you. Sometimes this is a live audience, sometimes the organizers tweak the bots, but in any case, this is a non-target audience. In addition to the fact that this has no marketing effect, only harm. This is how Instagram works: he sees that on some day after the giveaway ends, a significant part of those who came unsubscribe from you - it becomes obvious to him that something is wrong with the account. And here, again, these sanctions are involved - your coverage is falling dramatically. nine0005
Mutual following
Now mutual following is harmful. But you can use one of its varieties - a subscription to a thematic hashtag. For example, your professional exhibition was held, and people posted photos with a specific hashtag. You can follow the hashtag and follow these people. The limit in this case is 50 people per day. It is clear that the effect here will not be very pronounced. But these are targeted subscribers.
How to get followers in 2022 on Instagram: from 0 to 10,000
Subscribe to our telegram channel
Don't miss new useful articles and keep the old ones handy.
As practice shows, the first 10,000 subscribers are the hardest to get. The reason is simple: people are reluctant to subscribe to little-known pages. But nothing is impossible. We have compiled 14 tips for you to help you grow your profile from scratch within a year.
#1 Join mutual PR groups / Liketme
How can a little-known page quickly gain followers? Join mutual PR groups, this tactic is best for promoting new accounts. nine0005
It works like this. A group of participants is recruited, after which everyone sends a link to their post. All members of the group like and comment on each other's posts, thereby increasing the reach. When there are a lot of likes and comments under your post, it arouses the interest of other people: they want to see what is there.
Sounds nice. But. There are many groups for mutual PR and on various topics, for example, about travel, fashion, etc. To attract your target audience, join such groups on the topic of your page. And to keep the attention of new subscribers, you should also subscribe to them. nine0005
This is a short-term strategy for developing a page from scratch that will not increase sales, but will increase brand trust and awareness.
#2 Repost other people's content
Nicole Martins Ferreira, SMM specialist, started using the Repost for Instagram app to promote his store to repost someone else's content.
One of these reposts got 52,862 views, 1,264 comments and 9,147 likes. It was a big hit, Nicole didn't even have 10,000 subscribers at the time. But remember, according to Instagram policy, you need to request permission to repost from the author of publications. Otherwise, there is a risk of getting banned. nine0005
Why reposts of other people's content, and not publications of your own? Newbies don't have such good content, and reposting - what could be easier?
What content to repost? Use hashtags to find the most popular posts, share the ones that got you the most engagement. This is the simplest and most effective strategy for beginners.
#3 Ask followers to share photos
It's much easier to promote your Instagram page if you have a product or service that your customers share on their profile. If you post content with your customers, it will increase your social security and credibility. nine0005
If you haven't had any clients yet, you can contact an influencer (blogger) that suits your niche and order a review of your product. It is better to choose bloggers who have about 5,000 subscribers. Such accounts have a much lower cost of advertising and a more engaged audience.
You can also offer cooperation. For each completed sale through a referral link, you pay a commission to the blogger.
If you already have clients, you can ask them to tag you in their story or feed in exchange for a gift or a discount. Once you have enough clients, you don't have to ask anymore, they will tag you for free. nine0005
#4 Create a consistent style and stick to it
Yes, sounds like “ blah blah blah ” . Let's figure it out.
Often people subscribe not because of the published content, but because of the anticipation and the ability to predict what your next post will be.
Let's say you run a corgi page and post cute pictures and videos of him every day. Users who come across your content may notice that you always have cute corgi photos. They will subscribe and start following your page, waiting for new cute corgi posts. nine0005
Sticking to a single style or theme is more than a branding game. We are talking about the psychophysiological component of emotions: the expectations that your existing and potential subscribers create. They want and expect to see more content of the same type or style every day.
By sticking to a consistent style, you build confidence and trust in your brand, which in turn helps increase your following.
#5 Use hashtags
Many social media experts recommend using 5 to 11 hashtags. Don't be afraid to ignore such advice!
Start experimenting with hashtags and eventually you'll figure out which ones are right for your brand.
Why not use 30 hashtags? You can add all these hashtags to the first comment under the post, which few people will see.
Is your goal to increase coverage? Then this is the easiest way. With hashtags, your posts will rank higher for keywords, which increases your reach. nine0005
If you want to reach your target audience, then you should avoid generic hashtags like #love or #life, use niche hashtags.
#6 Use location tags
Increase your reach with « Location Tags » , it indicates the city or place where the video or picture was taken.
If your business is in a specific city, you can use these geotags to make it easier for people to find and follow your Instagram account. nine0005
Locations have their own feed, stories and hashtags - use this sticker and your content will be automatically added there.
#7 Start blogging
Do you have a blog? Start running it on Hashtap or Yandex.Zen.
You can add links to your YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook accounts to your blog post. The more people who read your blog, the more likely they are to go to your social media pages and follow. nine0005
This is more of a long term strategy and you may not have a blog. But the faster you start it and add links to your social networks, the more likely you are to gain subscribers.
#8 Follow competitors' followers
To promote your account, you need to find people who follow your competitors' pages.
Do you know your competitors? Find them! Then study their profile, content and who comments on their posts, highlight your target audience. Start chatting with them. nine0005
It's best to choose smaller competitors to start with, as larger ones may have good loyalty programs that you may not be able to afford at the moment.
#9 Work with bloggers
Why bloggers? Every blogger has his loyal followers. By running ads with a blogger, you are guaranteed to get new subscribers and, most likely, sales.
But when choosing a blogger, carefully study his profile, exclude cheating subscribers. Sign an agreement so that the blogger cannot use bots. Due to the rapid influx of fake followers, you can get your account banned. You do not want this? nine0005
#10 Giveaways
Giveaways are another effective way to promote your account.
If the draw is published on the site, you can make a subscription to your social networks a mandatory condition for participation. This is how you unlock your account.
If you don't have many subscribers, you can post about the draw in free groups and blogs. You can also negotiate with bloggers - you send them a product, they review it for free and talk about the draw. Many agree to such conditions. Result? Hundreds of new subscribers in all social networks. nine0005
If you don't have your own audience yet, this is a great way to attract new subscribers. And to attract the target audience, you need to choose a blog from your niche.
Is your goal to promote your account? Then this strategy is for you if increasing sales is not.
#11 Collaboration with other brands
While you are at the start of your page promotion, collaboration with other brands is a quick way to build a target subscriber base. You just repost and tag each other's profile. nine0005
You don't have to do anything but repost. New subscribers will write to you first.
#12 Instagram Tips/Guide
Instagram Tips is a new way to share educational content in the form of tips and hacks. In the IG guide, you can add: a title, description, video or image, as well as use already published posts in the feed.
There are 3 guide formats available:
- Places - collections of interesting places, objects, etc. in your city or some other city. nine0016
- Products - collections of products that you sell on your Instagram.
- Posts - your existing posts on the same topic, collected in one place, to which you can add titles and comments.
If you have interesting and useful tips, they will be shared with them.
