Facebook provides a full range of privacy tools that enable you to control who can see your profile, pictures and status updates. With these privacy tools, you can completely hide your profile from other users on Facebook. Depending on your needs, you can either hide your profile from specific users or you can configure your profile to be invisible to everyone except friends or friends of friends. On the other hand, if you only want to hide your profile when you are signed out, you can do so by deactivating your account.
Navigate to Facebook and sign in to your account.
Click the arrow to the right of the "Home" menu and select "Privacy Settings" from the drop-down menu.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Manage Blocking" in the Blocked People and Apps section.
Type the name or email of the user you want to hide your profile from in the "Block Users" section and then click "Block. " If you are blocking a user by name, you may be presented with a list of users with that name from which you will need to press the "Block" button beside the specific user you want to block.
Navigate to Facebook and sign in to your account.
Click the arrow next to the "Home" menu and select "Privacy Settings" from the drop-down menu.
Click "Edit Settings" in the "How You Connect" section.
Click the "Who can look up your profile by name or contact info?" drop-down menu and select "Friends of Friends" or "Friends" to limit the people who can view your Facebook profile. This hides your profile from being visible in public searches on Facebook or from search engines like Google.
Click "Done" to save your settings.
Navigate to Facebook and sign in to your account.
Click the arrow to the right of the "Home" menu and select "Account Settings" from the drop-down menu.
Select the "Security" tab and then click "Deactivate Your Account."
Select "This is temporary, I'll be back" and then click "Confirm."
Enter your Facebook password and then click "Deactivate Now." You will be signed out of Facebook and your profile is hidden from everyone on Facebook. Reactivate your account by signing in as usual from the Facebook home page.

Social Media Marketing

Successful MSP marketing relies on social media, including Facebook: the social media platform that people love to hate. We’ve come across so many MSPs adamantly against this platform, despite the benefit that it can bring to their business.
The problem is, if you hate Facebook enough to not have your own personal profile, then you can’t manage your Facebook Business Page.
We’ve already discussed the incorrect option that some people take: creating a fake profile to manage the page. What you can do instead is change the settings on your own personal Facebook profile so that you’re more or less ‘hidden’ from those using the platform.
To hide your Facebook profile from the general public, you’ll have to adjust your profile’s settings. Here is how to do so from a desktop computer.
1. Login to your Facebook profile, and click the arrow in the upper right corner of the Facebook page. Then, click “Settings”.
2. In the menu on the left, click “Privacy”. This will take you to a page titled, “Privacy Settings and Tools”, which should look something like the image below.
3. Under the “Your Activity” section, edit “Who can see your future posts?” and change it to “Only me”. You can then click the “Limit Past Posts” link to change all of your past posts to be viewed by “Friends Only”. Other options:
5. Under the “How People Find and Contact You” section, you can do the following:
6. In the menu on the left hand side, go to “Timeline and Tagging”. This will take you to a page that should look similar to the following:
7. Under the “Timeline” Section:
8. Under the “Tagging” Section:
Edit “Who can see posts you're tagged in on your timeline?” and change it to “Only me”
Change “When you're tagged in a post, who do you want to add to the audience of the post if they can't already see it?” to “Only me”
Change “Who sees tag suggestions when photos that look like you are uploaded?” to “No one”
9.
Under the “Review” Section, edit “Review posts you're tagged in before the post appears on your timeline?” and select “Enabled” to make it so that you have to approve friends tagging you. When they do tag you, you can choose to not accept the tag so that you won’t be tagged in that particular post.
10. In the menu on the left, go to “Location” and make sure that your location history is off.
This is about as close as you can get to “erasing” your Facebook Profile apart from deactivating it all together. Since deactivating your profile wouldn’t allow you to manage your Facebook Business Page, this is the best solution if you want to be the one in charge of managing your Business Page.

The social network Facebook has given Ukrainian users the opportunity to hide their profiles from people who are not their friends.
According to Ukrinform, Nathaniel Gleicher, Head of the Facebook Security Policy Department, announced this on Twitter. nine0005
“This is a tool for people in Ukraine that allows you to close an account with one click, quickly applying existing and new privacy settings. When a profile is closed, people who are not friends will not be able to upload or share profile photos or see feed posts,” Gleicher said.
According to him, this feature was first launched in Afghanistan in the summer of 2021.
To close your profile, click the three-dot symbol below the profile owner's name, then click Close Profile. When a window opens asking you to confirm the action, click the "Close profile" button again. nine0005
Gleicher added that Facebook has also set up a special center to respond to the war in Ukraine. In response to the unfolding military conflict in Ukraine, we have created a Special Operations Center for real-time response. It employs experts - including native speakers - which allows us to monitor the situation and respond as quickly as possible,” said Facebook's head of policy.
As Ukrinform reported, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared war on Ukraine on February 24 and launched an invasion of the country. nine0005

Social networks know much more about the habits and lives of their users than their parents or even spouses. This is not a very pleasant fact, because all this information is available not only to advertisers, but also to your competitors and enemies. In the lives of many people, there are situations when it is necessary for some time to disappear from the public space and go into the shadows. Facebook does not have a built-in ability to delete all your posts and photos, but you can hide them from prying eyes for a while. Business Insider journalists described a sequence of actions, as a result of which you can hide Facebook information, and the user's previous activity will be hidden. nine0005
In 2021, the editors of AIN.UA updated this text. 6 years after its publication, Facebook has simplified the procedure for hiding all information about yourself from Facebook and switching to "invisible mode".
In addition, there was also a function to delete posts for a certain period. In the updated material, we tell you how to do it.
Be sure to turn off the ability to find us by email address and phone number.
Turn off the Off-Facebook Preview option. Recall that recently Facebook has seriously taken care of the problem of cheating likes on brand pages and announced changes to their counting system. Soon the social network will remove "likes" from users whose accounts have been deactivated. This applies to deceased users and to those whose profiles have been deleted for violating the terms of use of the social network or due to prolonged inactivity.
