How can save whatsapp status
How to Save a Friend's Whatsapp Status on Android
For better or worse, WhatsApp is the foremost messaging platform on Android (as much though as I champion Signal at every possible opportunity). With the “Status” feature, it doubles as a kind of mini social-network platform, letting users post a status that expires after a certain amount of time (although you can also make it permanent).
These statuses can sometimes be funny clips or memes, and if you want to get your hands on them, there’s a way to do it without asking your friends. Here’s how.

On WhatsApp’s main interface for Android, you get three chief headings for each section of the app: Chats, Status and Calls. Statuses are similar to Snapchat, Instagram or Facebook stories. A user uploads a picture, video or text that WhatsApp keeps up for 24 hours or until the user decides to delete it.
Has one of your contacts ever uploaded a video or a particularly funny picture you want to share? WhatsApp doesn’t make it particularly easy for you to do this. You have to ask a friend to send you the media, screen grab it yourself or download an application that saves statuses for you. This is a waste since WhatsApp already downloads the media onto your phone (and hides it) when you view it (unless of course you’ve told it not to).
This tutorial was done on Android 10, which is a little more restrictive than previous versions. You used to be able to find the WhatsApp “Statuses” folder using the default Files app, but these days you’ll need to use a third-party app, as it’s become a hidden folder.
We used the retro-looking but reliable Total Commander, but really, you can use any one of our favorite Android file manager apps, and it will do the job.
Using Total Commander (or your file manager of choice), go to “/storage/emulated/0″ (aka ‘Internal shared storage”), then navigate to “/WhatsApp/Media/. Statuses/.”
Here you’ll see all the Statuses posted by your friends that are stored on your phone like other WhatsApp images. You can save them one by one or select multiple statuses to save.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why can't I find the Status in my downloads?
If you can’t find your friend’s status in the above-mentioned folder, then the most likely reason is that you’ve turned off “auto-download” of media in WhatsApp. To turn this back on (even if temporarily), go to your “WhatsApp Settings -> Storage and data”, then in the “Media auto-download” section, tap the type of connection you want auto-downloads to work under (data, Wi-Fi etc.), then make sure that “Photos” and “Videos” are set to auto-download.
Can my friend see if I've looked at their status?
By default, yes, but in a slightly roundabout way you can make yourself invisible when viewing others’ statuses. To do this, you need to disable “Read receipts,” which is primarily to stop the double ticks appearing when you’ve read messages.
Go to your “WhatsApp Settings -> Account -> Privacy” then toggle the “Read receipts” slider to the “Off” position.
Can my friend see if I've saved their status?
Worried that your friend will be a bit weirded out when they see that you downloaded their status? Don’t be. Seeing as the status downloads automatically as soon as you look at it, they won’t know that it’s saved locally on your device.

WhatsApp has its own version of the popular Stories feature, called Status, which lets you upload multiple photos, videos, and messages that automatically disappear after 24 hours.
If anyone updates their Status and you have permission to see it, the particular “Status” can be viewed from WhatsApp’s Status tab. But, even if you want to, you cannot officially save video or photos from WhatsApp Status.

Save WhatsApp Status photos and video with WhatsApp tweak
The official WhatsApp app for the iPhone doesn’t have any button to let you download someone’s WhatsApp Status. But a third-party WhatsApp tweak, called WhatsApp++ has added the functionality to download photos and videos, as you’re viewing others’ status. Your downloads get saved to the Photos app so that you have no problem accessing them later.
Since WhatsApp++ is an unofficial tweak, it’s not available on the App Store. And normally, you have to jailbreak your iPhone to install it. But because of BuildStore, you can install WhatsApp++ (and many other out-of-store apps) on your iOS device, without having to jailbreak it. All you need is a $19.99/month per device subscription to BuildStore.
Note: Installing WhatsApp++ from BuildStore requires you to uninstall the original WhatsApp app.
- Uninstall the original WhatsApp app from your iPhone if it’s already installed.
- Sign up for a new BuildStore account and register your iOS device.
- On your registered iOS device, open Safari and navigate to the WhatsApp++ (or Dragon for WhatsApp) app page.
- Tap on the Install button.
- Once installed, register WhatsApp++ with a valid phone number.
- Open WhatsApp++, tap on the Status page, and view the particular Status that you want to download media from.
- When the particular photo or video (that you want to download) is playing, just tap on the Download button in the bottom right corner. The file will be downloaded to your Photos library.
Note: There are other ways to install iOS apps from outside of the App Store without jailbreak, for free. But, in these cases, you usually need to reinstall the app every 7 days to keep using it. Moreover, it’s quite difficult to find a reliable, unaltered installer (IPA) for specific iOS apps on the Internet.

BuildStore is a preferred solution because of its ease of use and trustworthiness. All apps and tweaks found on the BuildStore repository are updated and uploaded by their developers.
Download WhatsApp Status Saver app from the App Store
Nowadays, you can find a decent number of apps on the App Store that allow you to download or save the WhatsApp Status of your contacts.
Here, we’re going to look at an app called Status Saver for WhatsApp.
Note: All such apps that offer features for saving WhatsApp Status videos or photos usually are all paid subscription-based apps that generally offer a 3-day trial period. We picked Status Saver for WhatsApp based on its popularity and App Store ratings. You can explore other similar apps, use the free trial, and pick any one of them that suits your budget and requirements.
Status Saver for WhatsApp uses WhatsApp Web Login to sign in to your WhatsApp account and scan for available statuses from friends or contacts and allows you to save and share them.
If you’re using WhatsApp on the same device that you’ve downloaded the status saver app, you need a second device to display the QR code that enables you to log in to the app using your WhatsApp account.
Essentially, Status Saver provides a custom link that you can share to another device via AirDrop, Wi-Fi, or over the Internet (Share QR Link to any Device to Scan). When you open the link on the other device, you’ll be directed to a web page where it displays WhatsApp’s web login QR code.
With that page open, simply launch the original WhatsApp app on your iPhone, go to the Settings tab, tap on Linked Devices >> Link a Device, and scan the QR code displayed on the other device with your iPhone.
Now, you’ll be logged into your WhatsApp account in the Status Saver app, and if you go to the Status Saver screen, it should be able to fetch all the statuses available to you.
To download a status, tap on Status Saver inside the app, and tap any available status to view it. With the status open, tap on the Share button from the top-right corner to bring up the Share menu, and tap Save Video or Save Image to save it to your Photos library. Alternatively, you can save statuses to the Files app on your iPhone using the Save to FIles option.
You can view the saved statuses in the Photos or Files app, depending on where you’ve saved them.
When you view or download a Status using the Status Saver app, WhatsApp does not count it as an official view, and the status owner will not see your name in the Seen list. Thus Status Saver can also be used as an app to view someone’s WhatsApp status without them knowing.
How to download WhatsApp Status Video and Photo on Android

How to save photos and videos from WhatsApp status on Android
As you know, it is not possible to simply save a photo or video from a WhatsApp status on Android and there is no possibility to view it in the gallery either. But still, all the statuses that you have viewed are in the memory of your phone or tablet, and we will show you how to download statuses to your phone. Nothing complicated, thanks to detailed instructions with attached screenshots, you can easily download videos from WhatsApp status.
Let's see how to save video from WhatsApp status or photo:
Open "Settings".
In the settings, open the "Storage" item.
Next, in the storage, go to the item "Internal shared storage" or simply internal storage.
Next, you need to go to the "Files" item.
Next, open the "WhatsApp" folder.
Next, go to the "Media" folder.
Next, open the "Stasuses" folder, where all the photos and videos from the WhatsApp status will be.
Now in the opened folder there will be all the photos and videos of the WhatsApp status, press and hold a little until the checkbox appears those files that we need to save or move, copy to another folder or send via bluetooth, mail or in any available way. You can mark many files at once, if you need to move or copy a video from WhatsApp, then click on the menu icon in the form of three vertically arranged dots. If you need to send via bluetooth, email or any available method, then click on this send icon.
Then I think you will figure it out yourself, otherwise the article is very stretched out and not everyone likes it. And yet, in order for video statuses or photo statuses to appear in the "Stasuses" folder, you need to view these statuses in WhatsApp, after which they will be saved in the specified folder, from where you can save, copy, move or send.

Save whatsapp status on your android phone
We often find useful images or videos posted by our contacts in whatsapp status. And while it's easier to save an image by taking a screenshot, it becomes difficult to save someone's status if it's a video or image with a caption covering the bottom.
Luckily, you can save whatsapp statuses directly to your phone without any subtitles using a simple file manager. To do the same, follow these steps:
1] opened Google files on your android phone. Please note that you can use any file manager of your choice, but since the steps will be different, we use Google files. It comes pre-installed on Google's Pixel lineup and can also be downloaded from the Google Play Store.
2] Tap the hamburger menu in the top left corner to open the sidebar and tap Settings . If you are using a Google Pixel smartphone, you need to click on the three dots indicated in the upper right corner.
3] On the next page, click the radio button next to Show Hidden Files option to enable it. On the other hand, Google Pixel users need to enable Show internal storage.
4] Now go back to the File app homepage and click on Internal storage .
5] Go to WhatsApp > Media. Here you will find a new folder named ".Statuses".
6] All photos and videos with WhatsApp status that you have already viewed will be available here (even if more than 24 hours have passed). You long press on the files, press "Copy" and paste them to the desired location in the phone's internal storage.
Alternative Method - Using the Whatsave App
Well, if you don't like the above method because it's quite long, you can use apps like Status Saver and Whatsave to save WhatsApp statuses directly from the app.
