Instagram has plenty of features beyond the standard news feed. If you want to view posts you've interacted with in the past, this guide is for you.
Instagram is a fantastic platform for following artists, influencers, musicians, and your friends. But from time to time, our views change—and we may want to unlike content we've previously double-tapped on.
Luckily, Instagram provides a useful way to find posts you've liked and bookmarked. Using these features, you can keep track of what interests you now—along with your tastes in the past.
Keep reading and we'll show you how to see posts you've liked and saved on Instagram.
On Instagram, you can "like" a post if you find it helpful and as a way to show appreciation to the poster. It might be an incredible piece of art, a place you'd like to add to your travel bucket list, a sumptuous meal, or anything else you find interesting.
Meanwhile, saving a post adds it to your bookmarks or collections. You can like an Instagram post and not necessarily save it. Likewise, you can save a post without "liking" it. In either case, Instagram keeps track of your actions. Both the "like" and bookmarking features can prove helpful later as you can see what posts you've liked in the past or those that you have saved on your account.
To keep track of your liked and saved posts, Instagram offers a way for you to see them by digging into different sections of your account. But remember: you can't see posts that were later deleted by a poster after liking or bookmarking.
By default, Instagram saves all your liked posts on your account. Here's how to check every Instagram post you've recently liked:
3 Images
By default, liked posts are displayed in chronological order, but you can view old ones first by tapping Sort & filter to change the order or filter posts by Author, Start date, or End date. Besides sorting and filtering, the Likes page also offers a way for you to unlike multiple images at a go. Tap Select in the top right, select posts you'd like to unlike, and tap Unlike at the bottom.
Instagram will not show you all the posts you've liked from the beginning, however. At the time of writing, you can only see 300 of the most recent posts you've liked.
Another limitation is there's no built-in way to see posts you liked on Instagram via desktop.
Of course, one way to bypass this is by using an emulator like BlueStacks to run Android apps on PC and Mac. You can also use a Chrome extension like Layoutify, which unlocks several functionalities that lack on Instagram's web app.
But if you have a laptop or desktop computer, you most likely have a smartphone as well. Because of this, we advise just using the mobile app for a less complicated experience.
Instagram save feature allows you to keep exciting posts and videos for later reference. But where can you find these posts if you want to revisit them? Here's how:
This will take you directly to the posts you've privately saved on your account. 2 Images
Thankfully, there's no limitation on the number of saved posts you can see. Due to this, your Saved section can get messy real quick. To stay organized, we recommend you organize your saved posts using Instagram Collections.
Finally, similar to "liked" posts, you cannot see your saved Instagram photos via desktop.
Posts you've liked and the bookmark feature on Instagram allow you to keep track of any interesting posts you've stumbled upon on the platform. The bookmark feature is a more private way of tracking interesting posts. Even better, the bookmark feature allows you to categorize any interesting posts in so-called collections.
Now that you know how to check posts you've liked and saved, you should embrace using the two as a way to keep track of interesting things you find on Instagram.
As Instagram continues to debate the possibility of removing Like counts, brands big and small have had to start looking for new ways to assess success and measure ROI. Enter Instagram Saves, a little-known and definitely underused feature that was launched in mid-2017.
Here’s everything you need to know about Instagram Saves and how you can leverage this powerful feature to boost engagement and grow your fanbase.
Instagram Saves 101Instagram Saves are pretty simple: Users save posts they like by tapping the bookmark icon in the bottom right-hand corner of any Instagram post. Saved posts can be found by navigating to the Instagram profile, clicking on the hamburger menu, and then tapping “Saved.”
From here, you can create Collections with titles like “House Goals,” “Vacation Ideas,” or “Gifts for Mom.” Lest brands start direct marketing to Instagram users based on their Collections and Saves, the social network keeps all of this saved content private and only viewable by the account holder.
But wait. If Instagram Saves are private, why should brands care and why are they suddenly a hot topic for measuring engagement?
Why Instagram Saves Are ImportantInstagram’s algorithms use a lot of different engagement metrics to decide which posts get bumped up in feeds, including likes, comments, shares, views, and saves. When someone saves your content, it tells Instagram that it’s high-quality content and that it should probably be sharing it with more people so everyone can benefit from the awesomeness.
According to James Nord, who runs influencer marketing platform Fohr, saves are like getting a “super-like.” So although you can’t see which users are saving which posts, the more saves a post gets, the more likely Instagram is to move that post higher in the feed—and it could even land your post on Instagram’s Explore page.
How to Create Content That’s Save-WorthyA Like is easy to get because we’re click-happy, but a Save is a much bigger commitment that can catapult your brand.
As Instagram seeks to depressurize the social network and get users to focus on quality over quantity or competition, brands have to get better about delivering content that is meaningful and relevant for fans.
Here are some quick ways to increase Saves and deliver engaging content while you’re at it:
Create Saveable Content
No matter what industry you’re in, you can create visually compelling and educational content that was made to be saved for later. When you’re building out your content calendar, think about images with captions that are evergreen and relevant for the long haul, such as infographic-style how-to guides or tips and tutorials that your fans will need to reference later. Here’s a great example from @girlboss:

Write Memorable Captions
Although short-and-sweet captions have their time and place, consider micro-blogging in your captions to deliver more value.
Why? Whether you’re posting a recipe, step-by-step instructions on how to use your product, or sharing upcoming event dates, your fans will be compelled to save the post so they don’t lose track of the rich and informational captions you’ve written.
Make it Quotable
If there’s one thing Instagram users love, it’s quotes. Whether you’ve got powerful, life-changing thoughts from your CEO or are getting regular inspo from an app like Motivation App, you can easily turn quotes into visually compelling content that gets saved again and again. Just make sure you choose quotes that are relevant to your business and industry! Also, don’t go crazy with quotes. Be thoughtful with your content strategy and consider mixing it up so your feed looks intentionally curated.
Just Ask for It!
At the end of the day, you can also be direct and your fans and followers to save a post. Whether you whip up a quick “How to Save a Post” tutorial in your feed or share the post to your Stories and give a walk-through there, your how-to post could land you on Instagram’s Explore page in no time.
Additionally, you can add “Save for later” to your asset as a gentle nudge for anyone scrolling by, like @boosted_social did here:

To see which posts are being saved — so you can create more of that save-worthy content — head to your Instagram Insights.
Under the Content tab, tap See All under Feed Posts and use the filter to review post Saves. If you need to calculate your engagement based on likes, comments, and saves, use this handy formula:
Engagement = (Comments + Likes + Saves) / (Impressions x 100)
Businesses typically shoot for engagement rates between 1 percent and 3 percent, with 5 percent being the Holy Grail of Instagram engagement.
Although it may seem like Instagram is making it harder for businesses to get content in front of more eyes, with hundreds of millions of videos and pictures posted daily it’s actually quite the opposite. Now is the time to level up your content strategy and ensure that instead of filling Instagram with noise you’re giving your fans relevant, useful content that converts.

In the second half of 2016, a new option was added to the Instagram social network - bookmarks. However, even in 2021, not every user knows how to view bookmarks on Instagram. With this built-in function, you can save your favorite publications to independent resources. nine0005

Insta developers are constantly updating their brainchild with new features that users like.
Standard posts and temporary stories are in the public domain, therefore, they are liked, commented and forwarded to other users. If a person wants to download content to the phone, then this cannot be done without using third-party applications. The bookmark feature allows you to save publications in separate resources.
This storage is a primitive way of copying information. All saved publications are displayed in one tab of the program. In the "Saved" section of the application, the standard "General" subsection is available, as well as the ability to create separate folders. The account owner has the ability to assign a name to each folder, edit the cover. nine0005
Features of the function:
Please note! Once uploaded, videos and photos can be viewed at any time and sent to Direct (private messages). nine0005
You can save posts in the application for review from both a computer and a smartphone. This option is also available in the web version of the social network.
To save a post from your smartphone, do the following:
If all the above actions are performed correctly, the color of the flag will change from white to black.
To add a post to bookmarks via a computer, you will need to follow the following steps:
) open Instagram.
If the color of the flag changes to black, this indicates a successful save.
Please note! On Windows 10 operating system, you will need to follow the same steps to complete the operation successfully.
Many users do not know where their favorites are on Instagram, therefore, they cannot view saved posts. You can do this in several ways from any device. nine0005
To find the saved publications on the phone through the Instagram application, you must perform the following manipulations:
Finding posts through the application is quite simple.
From a computer, you can view saved publications as follows:
If a user regularly bookmarks a large number of publications, he has the ability to sort them for comfortable searching and browsing by thematic collections.
Instructions for creating collections are as follows:
After completing all the above steps, the selected posts will be placed in a separate section.
Please note! The collections feature is not available on the web version of Instagram.
When creating a collection, the vast majority of users encounter the same problems that affect the ability to view bookmarks. The most common among them:
- some publications are not saved;
- some lists are deleted;
- The entire list of previously created albums is not displayed.
As a rule, if such problems occur, you need to update the social network application on your smartphone.
Other ways to solve the problem:
Please note! Displays up to five collections without problems with demo and download.
If the previously created collection is no longer needed by the user, it can be deleted as follows:
After the described action, only the folder will be deleted, and the publications stored in it will be moved to the public folder.
![]()
To delete a single entry in the mobile app, you need to do the following:
If the checkbox has become "transparent", the news has been removed from the section.
The more likes, comments, reposts and other things collect publications in social networks, the higher they are in the feed of other users. Most social networks work according to such algorithms. You can do this on your own, or you can seek help from special services that promote posts and make them more popular. There are dozens of such services on the Internet, but most of them do not work correctly, which leads to account blocking, because Instagram is an ardent opponent of cheating.
nine0005
When choosing a service, it is recommended to pay attention to DoSMM. The main task of the platform is to get likes, comments and views. The user has the right to choose, he can receive activity from both bots and live subscribers.
The service is ideal for people who want to create the appearance of activity on their account for relatively little money, and for whom the number and quality of subscribers does not matter.
The social network Instagram allows users to "save" their favorite publications so that they can be reviewed at any convenient time. This option is available on smartphones and computers, as well as when accessing the network from any web browser. nine0005
If, for example, I like the idea of a photo and want to save the post, will the owner of the account who posted the post get a notification about it?
No, saved posts are only visible to the account owner who added it to themselves. The owner of the post will only show the number of saves in the statistics.
My account was opened and then I decided to close it. If my posts have been saved by other users, will they be able to view them? nine0231
No, if a user closes their account, then a "non-subscriber" will not be able to view his posts.
Does a large number of saves affect reach?
Of course, the more activity on the page, the faster it will move.
