1. Use the Windows 10 Instagram App

The official Instagram app for Windows 10 supports direct messaging.

To download the app, open the Microsoft Store and search for Instagram. Click the first app on the list and then click Get. A message will display saying you own the app and it will then automatically download. Once it's completed, click Launch.

We'll assume you already have an Instagram account, so click the small Sign in text at the bottom of the window. Input your username and password and click Log In.

Now, click the Instagram Direct icon in the top-right corner. It looks like a paper airplane. This will bring up all your existing DMs. You can use the search bar to browse them or click the plus sign to compose a new one.

2. Use an Android Emulator

You can use an Android emulator, like BlueStacks, to install the Android operating system on your computer. You can then install the Instagram app within this environment.

To begin, download and install your emulator of choice. We'll use BlueStacks for the purposes of this article. Once you open it up you'll be asked to sign in to your Google account and likely verify your identity with a phone number. Once you've been signed in, you will see the Google Play Store on the home screen. Click this and then search for Instagram, just like you would on your phone. Next, click Install.

You will now see the Instagram app on the home screen. Click it, enter your login information, and you can then use it exactly as you would on your phone. It's exactly the same app, but emulated on your computer.

3. Use a Third-Party App

There are some third-party apps (which means they haven't officially been developed by Instagram) that let you manage your direct messages.

The best one is probably IG:dm, which is free and available for Windows, Mac, and Linux. It's open source, so you can view the project's code if you wish. Remember, always express caution when entering your password into unofficial apps. Though IG:dm seems safe enough, this is not an official endorsement.

The left-hand pane allows you to see your 20 most recent conversations. Click one to see the history on the right-hand side and use the message box at the bottom to chat. From the top bar, you can search for other users. You can also click your profile icon for more features, like customizing the notifications and seeing users who haven't followed you back.

While this free version will probably do the job for most people, there's also a IG:dm Pro available for a one-time fee of €10 (US$11). This lets you log in to multiple accounts, see up to 100 conversations, and use a handy emoji search.

4. Use an Android Mirror

If you don't want a full-blown Android emulator, you can simply mirror your device's screen to your computer using Windows 10's built-in Mirror utility. It should be noted that this isn't an ideal solution, because while it displays on your monitor, you'll still need to use your phone to control Instagram. This is because Windows 10 doesn't play nicely with input when mirroring Android.

To begin, on Windows 10 do a system search for connect and open the app. On your Android phone, go to Settings > Display > Cast. The setting may be elsewhere depending on your device manufacturer; Samsung calls it Smart View, for example, and it can be found by searching Settings. Tap your PC name from the list of available devices.

Finally, switch back to the Connect app. You should find your phone screen displaying and it will mirror from that to your monitor.

Yes and no. By default, Instagram enables read receipts. This means that any messages you send on the platform appear with a Seen icon once the recipient reads it. However, people can use a workaround if they want to read messages without the sender knowing it.

It’s possible to do this when you don’t open a DM immediately. While logged into your Instagram account, put your device on Airplane Mode. Reading the message in offline mode doesn’t trigger a read receipt. But, once you relaunch the app, it triggers the read receipt.

Why can’t I see my DMs on Instagram?

There can be many causes for missing DMs. The most common issue is lag, but it can also be a software-related problem. Try to check your DMs on a different device or the browser version of the app. If you can check your DMs from the browser, then try reinstalling the app on your phone.

Can I see DMs from someone who blocked me?

Just because someone blocks your account on Instagram doesn’t mean that the messages also disappear. All previously sent messages remain in your inbox unless you manually delete the conversations.

Bring up the DM inbox and type the username of the person who blocked you in the search box. All non-deleted messages should appear.

Can I turn off read receipts on Instagram?

2. Tap Requests under the search bar to the right.

3. Here, you will see any messages that didn’t go to your DM folder.

Do be mindful that some messages in the Requests folder may be scams. Unless the text comes from someone you know, it’s best not to interact with it.

In addition, you reduce the cost of hiring and training temporary workers. In all these matters, the insurer acts on the side of the employer - it provides prompt, high-quality treatment for a sick employee and quickly returns him to the work process.

You receive tax benefits. Expenses for VHI of employees, like other expenses for wages, reduce the taxable base. To reduce it, two conditions must be met: the contribution under the VHI program must not exceed 6% of the wage fund (Article 255 of the Tax Code of the Russian Federation, clause 16), a voluntary medical insurance contract must be concluded for at least a year. If both points are met, the funds spent can be written off as expenses of the enterprise. From the money paid under the VHI agreement, the company does not pay income tax. In addition, the insurance premium is not included in the payroll fund, so the premium is not subject to the unified social tax.

Some employers share the cost of VHI with employees: part of the money is paid by the employer, and part by the employee. If the employer fully pays for the VHI policy, then the employee receives tax-free income.

HOW TO CHOOSE AN INSURANCE COMPANY

When choosing an insurance company, its experience, reputation, financial stability and regional peculiarities are taken into account. For example, a large federal company has large financial reserves and has established itself in the market, but it may be poorly represented in your region: there is no local office, a limited choice of medical institutions is offered, and any questions will have to be coordinated with the head office in Moscow. Similar problems will not arise if you work with a regional insurance company.

Look up the insurer's license. It must be issued by the Central Bank of the Russian Federation. Carrying out activities without a license from the Central Bank of the Russian Federation is illegal. In this case, the insured may not receive insurance compensation or treatment. The financial market regulator regulates the work of licensed insurers, as a result of which they are obliged to plan their payments and create insurance reserves for each contract, which guarantees the protection of the interests of clients.

Having licenses for CHI and VHI is an advantage. If a particular medical service is not included in the scope of the VHI program, the employee will be assisted in obtaining the necessary medical assistance under the compulsory medical insurance policy. All services to the insured will be provided free of charge. For example, under the VHI program, a doctor in a commercial clinic relieves an acute form of a chronic disease, and the client undergoes rehabilitation procedures in a district clinic under the compulsory medical insurance policy.

Example:

Your worker has been scheduled for cardiac surgery. To go to the hospital, the patient needs to pass a lot of tests, for some the queue is scheduled for several weeks in advance. If an employee has a VHI policy, he can take tests for free at a commercial clinic without any queues.

HOW TO CHOOSE A VHI PROGRAM

In total, the VHI program includes four types of medical care:

  • dental care;
  • inpatient care;
  • rehabilitation treatment.

The final decision on the number of services is made by the enterprise, based on its social policy and the specifics of production. Each company can choose what services it wants to provide to its employees. For example, for ordinary workers, the policy includes outpatient care and dentistry, and for middle and senior managers, inpatient and rehabilitation treatment can be additionally added.

In addition to the choice of services, the number of clinics must be determined. Usually, about 25–35 medical organizations are included in an inexpensive tariff.

We will select and calculate the optimal VHI program for teams of both large and medium-sized businesses. Based on our calculations, companies plan and include an item of expenditure on VHI in their budgets for 2021.

Find out if additional services can be added. If your business decides that additional services are needed, find out if the insurer can make changes to the program by entering into an additional agreement. The cost of the tariff in this case will change, the difference must be paid. Changes can be made at any time while the contract is in effect.

If your employee quits, the insurance company will recalculate the amount of the contract and return part of the insurance premium or take this money into account for the insurance of new employees.
