How to Quickly Switch Between Facebook Accounts

By James Hirtz

Have multiple Facebook accounts? It's actually quite easy to switch between Facebook profiles without switching browsers.

Whether you have multiple Facebook accounts or share a computer with friends and family, you'll need to know how to switch Facebook accounts. Thankfully, the social network makes it easy to quickly switch between profiles using the same browser.

In this article, we'll walk you through quickly switching between your Facebook accounts so you can save time.

How to Switch Between Facebook Accounts (New Facebook)

  1. While logged into Facebook, click on the Account button next to Notifications.
  2. Select See all profiles, then select Switch accounts.
  3. Click on one of your previously logged-into accounts or select Log into another account.
  4. If logging into another account, enter your username and password and click Log in. If you previously checked Remember password, you won't receive a prompt to enter your password when switching accounts. If you haven't checked Remember password, you'll receive a prompt to enter the password for your account.
  5. Now, when you click on the Switch Accounts button, you should see both accounts. On New Facebook, you'll know which account you're currently logged into via a blue dot indicator under Profiles.
  6. If you decide you'd like to remove an account from your computer, go to Switch Accounts, then click the X to the right of the account name.

If you don't like Facebook's new look, it doesn't need to be one of your reasons to quit Facebook for good. Instead, you can restore the classic style while taking advantage of the quick account switching.

How to Switch Between Facebook Accounts (Classic Facebook)

While classic Facebook is no longer officially available, extensions have attempted to recreate the experience. Unfortunately, these either no longer work or provide limited functionality based on your account.

If you're using an extension like Old Layout for Facebook for Firefox or Chrome that runs a script to restore the classic aesthetic, you'll still follow the same steps as the current version of Facebook:

  5. Now when you click on the Switch Accounts button, you should see both accounts. On New Facebook, you'll know which account you're currently logged into via a blue dot indicator under Profiles.
  6. If you decide you'd like to remove an account from your computer, go to Switch Accounts then click the X to the right of the account name.

If you find yourself dissatisfied with the limited emulation of classic Facebook, there are still some things that can be done to make new Facebook better. It's becoming easier to customize your Facebook feed, for instance, so more time can be spent on the right account looking at the content you want.

How to Stay Secure When Switching Facebook Accounts

Because you have the option to always enter your password when switching profiles, this feature is useful for family members who share a computer. Facebook also allows you to add up to 10 accounts using the Account Switcher feature.

It will also come in handy if you have a separate Facebook login for work. That way, you can keep all things work and personal completely separated.

While this password setting does help protect your separate accounts, it's good to be prepared. You should make sure you know the best ways to secure your Facebook account for recovery.

You Can Now Switch Facebook Accounts Quickly

Once you've added multiple accounts, swapping between accounts on Facebook is quick and easy. It may just be a simple feature, but it's one that can make your life a lot easier. Plus, whether you're using Facebook's new design or still feel attached to its classic look, you can manage your accounts without issue.

Having read this guide, you should now have all the tools you need to switch between Facebook accounts with minimal effort—regardless of whether you use the classic or newer versions.

How To Log Into Multiple Facebook Accounts

Device Links

  • Device Missing?

The standard Facebook app and web-based version don’t allow users to log into more than one account at once. While Facebook for mobile devices lets you switch between accounts, it’s not the same as using two simultaneously. Thankfully, there are still ways to bypass this limitation.

Using more than one Facebook account at once is possible even without downloading other apps. If you’re curious about how to do this, look no further. Read on for all the details and tricks.

How to Login to 2 Facebook Accounts on an iPhone

Even though the Facebook app supports switching accounts within a few taps, it’s still not the same as opening two instances of Facebook at once. Thus, you shouldn’t be using the app if you wish to use two accounts at once.

The next best thing is to use a mobile phone internet browser. iPhones come with Safari, which supports private browsing. Private browsing is an easy bypass, allowing you to log into two Facebook accounts from the same browser. If you don’t use this feature, logging into two Facebook accounts on mobile is impossible.

The main reason users can’t use more than one account is because of conflicting cookies. Each account takes up a session, and it can’t run two sets of cookies simultaneously. That’s why you can’t open two accounts at once in the same browser without special tools.

However, private browsing opens up another session of internet browsing with different cookies. This feature lets you ignore the limitation entirely as well.

Here are the basic instructions to log into two Facebook accounts on an iPhone:

  1. On your iPhone, open Safari.
  2. Tap on the “Tabs” button.
  3. Select the downward-pointing arrow and show the tab groups list.
  4. Select “Private” from the list.
  5. Tap on “Done” to confirm your decision.
  6. Using the private browsing tab, head to the official Facebook login page.
  7. Log in with your details.
  8. Repeat Steps 2 to 7 with another account.
  9. Swap from account to account if you require.

However, that’s not the only method you can use. Many people enjoy Google Chrome, which is also available on iPhones. You can log into a Facebook account on Chrome and another on Safari. The advantage of this trick is you don’t need to use private browsing.

  1. Launch Safari on your iPhone.
  2. Go to the Facebook login page.
  3. Enter one account’s email and password.
  4. Log in.
  5. Swap to Google Chrome or another browser.
  6. Head to the same login page.
  7. Enter another account’s details.
  8. Log into your second account.
  9. Swap between the two as often as you want.

With two different browsers, the cookies won’t conflict at all. Though you have to tap a few more times, it’s a good alternative for those who don’t want to use private browsing mode.

A third option is to use the Facebook app alongside a browser. You should already be logged into the app, so you only have to log into another account on Safari or another browser.

  1. Open any browser on your iPhone.
  2. Go to Facebook’s login page.
  3. Access an account that your Facebook app isn’t using.
  4. Swap between this app and the Facebook client.

Regardless of your preferred trick, it works well for accessing two accounts simultaneously, especially if they’re both within the same browser. You can even use more than two at once if you want.

How to Login to 2 Facebook Accounts on an Android

Android users tend to use the included Google Chrome browser, which has Incognito Mode. It functions the same way as Safari’s Private Browsing, allowing you to create new and separate browsing sessions. However, for those who prefer other browsers, DuckDuckGo, Brave, and Opera are fantastic choices.

All of these browsers have private browsing features or are designed to offer a secure and anonymous experience. The former two are examples of this and can be used to log in to your different accounts.

With this information in mind, you can also use similar tricks as with an iPhone. You can find several sets of instructions below.

These steps are for using Incognito Mode on Google Chrome:

  1. Launch Google Chrome on your Android device.
  2. Tap on the Tabs button.
  3. Select the three dots on the top-right corner.
  4. Pick “New Incognito Tab” from the list.
  5. Navigate to the Facebook login page.
  6. Type the details of one of your Facebook accounts.
  7. Log into the account.
  8. Repeat Steps 2 to 5 to start a different Facebook account session.

Incognito Mode is functionally similar to Safari’s Private Browsing, preventing cookies from conflicting with each other.

As for using more than one internet browser on Android, these instructions will help. We’ll assume you already have another browser installed.

  1. Launch Google Chrome.
  2. Go to the Facebook login page.
  3. Enter one account’s email address and password.
  4. Access the account.
  5. Swap to another installed browser.
  6. Go to the same login page.
  7. Log in to another account.

Now, you can switch between accounts with a tap or two.

Just like on an iPhone, you can also run two apps at once. One will be the official Facebook client for Android. The other can be any internet browser. We’ll operate under the assumption that your Facebook client already has one account you’re currently logged into.

  1. Open any browser on your Android device.
  2. Head to Facebook’s login page.
  3. Log in to an account that your Facebook client isn’t using.
  4. Swap between this browser and the Facebook client for Android.

How to Login to 2 Facebook Accounts on a PC

PC users will find using more than one account even more accessible. Most modern browsers come with private browsing, and you can log into your multiple accounts effortlessly.

We’ll use Google Chrome for PC in this example. If you prefer another browser that supports private browsing, the concept will also work the same way.

  1. Open Google Chrome on your PC.
  2. Click on the triple dots at the top-right corner of the window.
  3. Select “New Incognito Window” from the list.
  4. In this new window, open at least two tabs.
  5. Head to the Facebook website on both of them.
  6. Log into separate accounts.

If you don’t want to use Incognito Mode, consider installing another browser. On Windows, Microsoft Edge is already ready to use. However, anything else is a suitable candidate.

  1. On Google Chrome for PC, go to the Facebook login page.
  2. Enter one account’s details to log in.
  3. Open another browser of your choice.
  4. Head to the same website.
  5. In the fields, enter another account’s email address and password.
  6. Gain access to the second account.

You can use as many browsers as you like for this trick. Even combining more than one browser with Incognito Mode will work. As long as there are multiple browsing sessions, you can log into many accounts at once.

There’s a third option for PC users to download particular extensions for Google Chrome or any compatible browsers. These extensions let you use the same browser for more than one Facebook account without needing private browsing.

That’s Also My Account

Those who prefer to separate their business accounts from personal Facebook profiles can use the above tricks without much effort. You also don’t need to purchase special software unless you prefer using paid extensions. Therefore, managing more than one Facebook account can be done on any platform and browser.

Do you use any of these tricks for your multiple Facebook accounts? What browsers do you like using? Let us know in the comments section below.

How to use two Facebook, Viber, Telegram profiles on Android and iOS

Two social media accounts in one phone!

  • Android apps duplicate
  • Second space for Xiaomi
  • Second Instagram account
  • Second Telegram account
  • Facebook accounts
  • Multiple Viber accounts

We all have or will have multiple profiles in social networks. The answer to the question "why" is individual. Someone separates personal and work information, someone needs it for other purposes - perhaps you are Batman and lead a double life.
It's not always convenient to use two profiles. Sometimes this requires downloading additional unofficial applications, and sometimes it's just inconvenient to log out of the main account every time to go to the second one. The solution is much simpler than it seems at first glance.

Android Application Duplicate

Android on most smartphones has provided the application duplicate function. It creates a similar application with zero settings. The name of the function on different smartphones may be called differently.
The function is located in one of the sections: “Accessibility”, “Additional functions”, “Applications”. It may be called “Dual Application Profile” or “Software Clones”, depending on the smartphone brand. Select an app to clone and wait for the download.

The application clone will appear on the smartphone screen. The icon will look like the original with a small addition - a clone icon in the corner. So you can easily distinguish the clone from the original application.

Second space for Xiaomi

Xiaomi owners will need a function - “Second space”. It allows you to create a parallel version of the operating system on your phone. The second space works identically to the first. Initially, it is completely empty and you can reinstall the necessary applications and log in to them. With one click, you can move between the two spaces and even set a password.
Installing the second space is easy enough. Go to "Settings", then to "Accessibility" and "Second Space". Start the installation and wait for the space to form.

The Go icon will appear on the screen. Use it to change the space.

iOS didn't provide app clone or second space creation, so workarounds have to be found. There is no free third-party clone app, but some apps have taken care of managing multiple accounts on their own. You can use the same functions for Android.

Second Instagram account

The application allows you to use several instagram accounts at the same time and switch between them without having to constantly log in and out and enter passwords. You just need to go to the main page, click on the login above and add an account. After that, you can easily switch accounts on instagram at any time.

Second Telegram account

The application allows you to have more than one Telegram account. Thanks to this, it becomes easier to separate work and personal life in the messenger. Go to settings, click on your profile and on the line "Add account". You will receive a code in Telegram to the number through which you authorize. The code can also be sent via SMS. After that, you can easily switch telegram accounts in the side menu. Also in the telegram, you can turn off notifications on individual chats, which makes it possible not to be distracted by unnecessary messages or notifications from telegram channels. Long press on an account when navigating to open a window with recent chats. So you can “peep” whether something important has arrived or not. Account management is carried out in the settings in the “devices” section. Here you can view active sessions and end your account on other devices.

Facebook accounts

Facebook added the ability to switch between accounts. To do this, log out of the main account and log in to the second one. The login data for both accounts will be saved and you can switch between them by clicking the “Logout” button.

Several accounts in Viber

The official messenger did not provide for the use of more than one account. On android, the problem is solved quite simply using the functions of cloning applications or the second space, which we described above. iPhone owners will not be able to install a second Viber without the help of a MacBook or paid apps in the App Store.

Two Facebook accounts: how to create a second page

It is possible to use an anonymous account or work with business functions if you create a second Facebook page. The user does not have to provide real data, so such a profile can be used as a backup or for promotion.

    • Using the computer version
    • Create a second account on a smartphone
  • How to switch to a second Facebook profile
    • Problem with restoring another page in FB

How to make a second page on Facebook on Facebook is available on mobile and desktop versions.

The user needs to log out of the main account in order to proceed to the section: "Create an account". As in the first case, you need to enter registration data: phone number, password, fill in the basic information from the biography.

Features of working with two pages:

  • you need to use a different number and email address;
  • it is recommended to immediately install a photo (you can not your own) so that the system does not send a warning or block the account;
  • login without connected VPN or anonymous access services;
  • It is forbidden to impersonate another person: a celebrity or a regular user.

In the social network, you can switch between pages. It is allowed to use the same photo and full name to confirm the identity.

With the computer version

Two Facebook accounts are convenient with the computer version. The user needs to log out of their account to switch. But the creation of an additional account is not prohibited by the social network.

How to:

  1. Log in to Facebook - log out of your account.
  2. Click: "Create an account" - fill in the registration data.
  3. Go to confirmation of information - enter the verification code.
  4. Send - go to the account.

Next, the user needs to fill in categories such as education received, place of residence, upload the first publication or photo. This is optional, but this way the system will not suspect automatic actions.

Data between pages is not synchronized. This means that you will not be able to read messages from the first account or see actions in the financial section.

Create a second account on a smartphone

You can log in to another Facebook account from the mobile version in the same way as from the computer version: log out and proceed to registration. Through the application, opening Facebook that is not connected, thumbnails with avatars and saved login data will appear on the screen. The user can choose which profile to enter.

How to make another page:

  1. Enter the application - click: "Settings".
  2. Exit - opens the main.
  3. Select: "Create an account" - specify the phone number to connect.
  4. Specify data: "First and last name", "Date of birth", "Gender".
  5. Confirm registration - enter code from SMS.
  6. Log in to your profile.

Along with the main one, the information about the second account will be saved on the main one. The profile owner will be able to switch by opening Facebook without prior authorization and entering a number, password.

How to switch to the second Facebook profile

By connecting several Facebook accounts, the user will be able to switch only if he logs out of the first one. In the settings there is a transition to a business profile only, where the owner does not need to enter additional data.

How to go to another page using the computer version:

  1. Open your profile - go to the section: "Settings".
  2. In the drop-down menu: "Exit" - confirm the action.

The screen will display the previously authorized account and an empty field where you can add another account to switch.

From the mobile version, you also need to go to the settings and click: "Exit". A notification will appear on the screen: "Are you sure", after - the main page. The owner cannot switch to different accounts while he is authorized in at least one. Unlike Instagram, where all connected profiles are shown in the top menu, Facebook can only be accessed by disconnecting from the first one.

Problem restoring another page in FB

Problems returning access can occur if the owner used the same phone number or email address. To create several pages, you need different information: a separate number, email. Otherwise, when restoring, the system will offer the wrong page or block the second one.

What to do if the same number is given:
