How To Hide The Second Tick On WhatsApp
Perhaps for some reason, you don’t want your contacts to know that you have received and read their WhatsApp messages.
You want it to appear as if you haven’t received and seen the message at all.
Look, constant online back and forth can be exhausting and sometimes you’re too busy with work or something else to give personal chats your undivided attention.
Luckily for you, WhatsApp has features which allow you to customize your messages.
Normally, double ticks mean your message has been delivered to the person’s WhatsApp.
You’re guaranteed that if they come online at any given time they will see your message notification whether they want to or not.
Blue ticks (when enabled) mean that a person has not only received your message but they have read it as well.
One tick means that your message was sent but hasn’t been receive or read.
So when you enable the one tick option on your WhatsApp, your contact will think their message wasn’t delivered to you and you haven’t seen it or read it when you in fact have done so.
Ordinary WhatsApp users can disable their blue ticks settings leaving them with the the grey ticks only, which just show that your message was delivered but does not specify if it was read.
Open Your WhatsApp, tap on the 3 dots at the upper right of the display screen and select settings<accounts<privacy<turn off the read receipts feature.
Note:If you disable your read receipts, it means you can’t also see if others have read your messages as well. Fair right?
Now for those who want to take it a step further and settle for one tick only.
You need GBWhatsApp for this, unfortunately you can not manipulate your way through messages on the ordinary WhatsApp.
GBWhatsApp can be downloaded on gbmod. co
For more comprehensive details on the advantages of GBWhatsApp and its features you need to need to read this article.
Assuming that you have GBWhatsApp or have downloaded it and set it up. You tap the 3 dots on the top right of your WhatsApp screen.
Select settings < privacy<second tick
The second tick will be disabled and that way when a contact sends you a message, they won’t know when you received it or read it.
To them, it will just appear like you didn’t get it at all.
If you want to appear as if you’re not online while in fact you are online, we advise that you read this article.

What Do WhatsApp Ticks Mean and How to Hide the Ticks- Dr.
FoneIf you are a WhatsApp user, you must have seen those little ticks for sure. They are these small indicators that you get to see below or next to every message, including text, images, and videos that you send on WhatsApp. Unlike many other messenger services to date, WhatsApp thought of something unique when it came to relaying the status of a message sent by its users.
WhatsApp ticks do more than just showing a 'sent' message. Instead, they also tell you whether the message you had sent has been successfully sent or is still being processed, whether the message has been received by the other party or not, and finally, whether the other party or contact has read the message sent or not.
Fantastic, right! I think so. These ticks are any day much more fun than merely being told 'message sent.'
You may want to not let everyone know that you have read their message. Maybe, you don't want them to think that you are ignoring them, not replying to them even after reading their message, for the simple fact that you are just too busy with something more important than responding to that message at that time.
We all have been in such situations.
Fortunately, folks at WhatsApp also did think of such happenings, and in their latest update, offered everyone the option of disabling read receipts. Today, we will show you how to disable these blue WhatsApp ticks or WhatsApp's read receipts, in order to prevent others on WhatsApp from seeing whether you have read their message or not.
All that you must do is follow carefully these steps that have been laid down as given below, for both the Android and iOS users.
Hide Whatsapp Ticks on Android
Step 1 The 1st thing you should do is download the latest version (APK file) for WhatsApp, preferably from their website directly.
Step 2 Now, on your phone, tap on the menu button and then visit Settings > Security > Check unknown resources, which will let you install apps outside of the store and from unknown sources.
Step 3 Then, open the APK file on your Android device. This should install the latest WhatsApp version.
Step 4 Launch WhatsApp and go to Settings > Account > Privacy, and uncheck 'Read Receipts'.
Hide Whatsapp Ticks on iPhone
Step 1 Install the latest version of WhatsApp from the app store. You might have to back up your chats in case you decide to uninstall first and then do a fresh install of WhatsApp and its latest version.
Step 2 Once the installation is complete, open WhatsApp, and go to Settings > Account > Privacy.
Step 3 Uncheck the option of 'Read Receipts' from the next screen (screenshot given below).
Hold on, but what I see on my WhatsApp screen are not these ticks, but a clock icon.
Well, if you see a clock icon next to your message on WhatsApp, do not worry, since all that it is trying to tell you is that even though you have pressed on the 'Send' button, the message has not left your device yet. WhatsApp will keep trying to process it and send it as intended. Give it a bit of time, and you will see that the ticks have started coming in.
Again, here's a quick look at what the ticks and a few more icons that WhatsApp displays mean.
There you have it, with the above-mentioned methods, you now have successfully achieved privacy on WhatsApp to some extent. Just remember that if you choose not to let others see your read receipts (WhatsApp ticks), then you also wouldn't be able to see them for your contacts.
So, in a way, this works more or less like a trade-off, and I am sure many of us would prefer to be able to hide our read receipts on WhatsApp and get rid of the WhatsApp ticks, instead of letting our friends, coworkers, and family keep an eye on whether we have read their messages or not.
We hope that you will use and enjoy this useful trick. Don't forget to share it with your friends as well, they too might be looking for something like this, and will be much thankful for your help.

Do you use WhatsApp often? If you do not want your interlocutor to see that you have read his message, then read the article and find out how to do it.
Disable read receipt.
Closing correspondence in the messenger from strangers.
Disable read receipt.
In the messenger, when you read a message, the read checkbox is ticked and your interlocutor sees that you have read his message. There are times when you see an email but don't want to reply yet or don't have time, so you want to prevent the user who wrote to you from receiving a read receipt. It's time to learn how to remove the treasured "viewed" checkbox. For this:
- Go to "WhatsApp" → "Settings" → "Account".
- Next, go to the "Privacy" menu and next to the "Read Reports" item, set the slider to the off position. In this case, notifications will be turned off, and your interlocutor will not see when you read his letter.
This feature is very easy to turn off, so now you can watch messages without the people who sent you messages knowing about it. Also, you can hide your activity from users, for this:
- In the app, go to the "Privacy" tab → "Was there".
- And in this menu, choose who can see your last visit to the messenger.
You can also choose who can see your profile picture in the privacy menu. Click "Profile photo" and select the desired settings.
Closing correspondence in WhatsApp from strangers.
There is also a little advice for those who use this messenger:
- Scroll down in the privacy menu and tap on Screen Lock.
- Turn on the "Require Face ID" (or Touch ID, depending on your iPhone model) function and select the time period that will be relevant to you.
This function will block the messenger in your absence. Accordingly, without your face or fingerprint, another person will not be able to log into your messenger and read your correspondence.
- If all of a sudden read receipts are not turned off, and you want to see the message so that the interlocutor does not know about it, go to the messenger chats.
- After that, press and hold the chat you want to see the text in, and a preview window will open. In this window, you can read the message, but for the interlocutor it will be displayed as unread.
Press lightly on the chat so as not to fully open the message. This feature is available thanks to 3D-Touch, a strong press is a quick chat opening, and a weak one is a preview.
Here are some tips to make your WhatsApp experience even better. Secretly open chats, set privacy settings so that other people cannot read your correspondence.

Why when sending a message to the WATSAP there is one gray tick
when communicating and sending messages to the Watsap, you can notice just one gray checkmark. Even though the user may be online. What do the gray and blue checkmarks mean and in what cases do they appear - read on.

- What does one series of ticks mean in WhatsApp?
- What are WhatsApp statuses?
If you read the official help of the messenger, it says that one tick means that you have sent the message. A shipment has been registered from a mobile client or web application, but it has not yet arrived on the recipient's device. A data packet with text visited the messenger's servers in case the recipient's phone is turned off. Here it will be stored for some time until the recipient turns on the device.
But there are other reasons why you see a single gray check mark in the message statuses. It will be displayed even when your number has been blocked by another user. If the number is not blocked, you will see a second tick next to the message.
This means that the message has reached. Statuses help users determine at what stage the message is. This, in some extreme cases, helps to change the type of communication in order to contact the person faster in other ways.

The sender can learn more about each message in the messenger by selecting and holding it until the icon with the letter i appears.
By clicking on the icon, an additional window with a report will appear. On the next screen, you can see what time the message was delivered (if it arrived), whether the recipient read it, and so on.
There are three main statuses in the WhatsApp messenger:
- One tick (gray) – the message has been sent, but not yet received by another smartphone;
- Two checkmarks (gray) - the recipient's device has received the message. But at the moment it has not yet been read;
- Two ticks (blue) - poisoning delivered and read.
The last status also means that the message was opened in the messenger in the standard way. And also that your number is not blocked by the user and his device is currently connected to the network. Therefore, we can conclude that the user will also read the next message. If you need to say more, choose a video or audio call and tell your interlocutor everything you need via WhatsApp.

How to find out that your WhatsApp number is blocked
The messenger allows you to block the phone of other subscribers. Everyone can make their own black list of the numbers of people who will no longer be able to write or call using WhatsApp. This is one of the reasons why you see one gray check mark when you send text to a chat. In the client, you can also determine this by another feature - the absence of the time of the last visit to the messenger. Go to the chat with the user and pay attention to the time under the nickname.
This setting will not be updated because account data is no longer shared for blocked contacts. You can only check this using another mobile device with WhatsApp by contacting the user from another account.
Why is there one or two gray checkmarks in the chat
In some cases, statuses of one and two checkmarks without color are displayed for a long time. Despite the fact that the contact was recently contacted.
In your case this could mean:
- The contact has removed the WhatsApp mobile application from the phone;
- The user got rid of the messenger forever and does not log into his account on any device;
- The recipient of the message blocked your number by marking it as spam;
- The messenger is installed on the device, but the user did not open it or access the Internet on the phone;
- There is a connection problem on your side or on the network of the person you want to contact on WhatsApp.
Another reason is that read receipts are disabled in the client on the phone. In this case, you will not see more than two gray checkmarks in the chat. The recipient will also not be able to see other users' reports that their message has reached and been read.
How to disable read receipts on WhatsApp
In some cases, it is necessary to stay in the background and not be seen online through WhatsApp. This will help you avoid communicating with intrusive interlocutors.
