There are several specialized services for complete transfer of information. We liked iCareFone for Whatsapp transfer from the developer Tenorshare: it allows you to carry out, among other things, a cross-platform transfer (for example, from Android to iPhone). To do this, you need a laptop or computer and, in fact, two smartphones.
1. Connect both gadgets to the computer and click the "Transfer" button.
2. The program will back up the data. Then you will need to click "Continue".
3. To verify that the WhatsApp account belongs to you, you will need to enter the phone number to which it is linked.
4. If the number is entered correctly, data copying will start. The process usually takes several minutes. After the end, you will see something like this window.
As you can see, nothing complicated.
Before transferring chats to your new smartphone, you must manually back them up on your old phone. To do this, proceed as follows.
The local backup of chats on an Android smartphone is located in the WhatsApp / Databases folder. It can be in local memory or on an SD card. The backup is named "msgstore.db.crypt".
If you connect your phone to a PC with a USB cable, you can copy this file to your computer and then transfer it to your new phone. Accessing this file is even easier with a file manager like ES File Explorer. With it, you can immediately send a file to a new phone via email, Bluetooth or cloud storage.

When switching to a new phone, you can transfer the communication history in the WhatsApp messenger to it. They are not automatically imported to the new device. This must be done manually. With a few simple steps, it's easy to ensure that all messages, images, and media transfer correctly to your new device.
Even when switching from iPhone to Android.
Please note that payment messages and call history are not transferred to the new device, only the message and most content types (images, videos, audio messages).
WhatsApp on Android smartphones uses Google Drive for automatic backups. The data is tied to the phone number and Google account it was created with, so it's important to keep these details in mind. This feature makes it easier to transfer chats, but it's important to take some steps to avoid losing messages.
Depending on the current settings, backups can be disabled or set to a weekly or monthly schedule. To make sure your new phone has all the latest messages, perform a manual backup:
To manually create a WhatsApp backup, press the three dots ? button. Select Settings and click Chats. Go to your chat backup and click the "Back Up" button.
Don't forget to check the "Enable video" option first, otherwise only messages and photos will be backed up.
When all messages from the old phone are saved to Google Drive, you can start setting up your new mobile phone.
First, register the same phone number and Google account on the new device. To avoid surprises, it's best to connect to a Wi-Fi hotspot instead of cellular data.
When you open WhatsApp for the first time on your new smartphone, the app will ask you if you want to restore the messages and media saved in your Google Account. Confirm and all messages and other files will start downloading in the background. This may take some time depending on the number of files.
The backup steps are almost the same for iPhone owners, the main difference is that the chats are stored in iCloud account online storage instead of Google Drive.
To start the reservation, press Settings and select Chats. Go to Chat Backup and check the Enable video checkbox and then click Back Up Now.
When setting up your new iPhone, be sure to use the same Apple ID you used on your old phone.
Also turn on iCloud Drive, and enter the same phone number you used before.
The first time you open WhatsApp, it should ask if you want to restore your backed up messages and media. Confirm and wait for automatic data synchronization.
WhatsApp data can be backed up locally on Android phones. Follow the same steps as above and the file uploaded to Google Drive is also stored in the smartphone's local storage.
To access the backup on your old phone, open the file manager and navigate to the WhatsApp folder. This can be, for example, the path Internal storage > Android > Media > com.WhatsApp.
Open the database folder and select the last file that has msgstore.db.crypt in its name.
On the new phone, create a folder in the internal memory as you did on the old phone. Transfer the backup file by any method to the new phone and write to this folder.
Android 12 phones can get WhatsApp chats from iPhone.
