How to set up live on Instagram if it does not work?
Sometimes users claim that they don't have such functionality or just don't work, and there are several main reasons for this:
- Probably the Instagram app just hasn't been updated for a long time. Despite the fact that the functionality is present rather on the resource side, the presence of an outdated application may lead to a lack of translation;
- A common problem that not everyone sees this feature is that insta releases the update in stages. So direct broadcasting is pouring into the life of the service in incremental steps, first for one group of people, then for another, and so on. This is due to testing the feature and quickly troubleshooting if there are any.

Compared to other services, Instagram has focused on short-term communication and because of this, the broadcast, immediately after completion, simply disappears. Additionally, along with the live broadcast, the function of limited video or photo viewing appeared. So uploading any file and specifying the number of views, it will be deleted immediately upon reaching the specified number.
Of course, without their own intent, Instagram did not launch this function. In the future, it is planned to monetize broadcasts, so advertising will be displayed that brings a certain income. It is not entirely clear yet whether the profit will be shared with the host or not.
There are many options for using live streaming, so you can have friendly conversations, hold mass events or engage in dialogue with consumers of a commercial page, share a vision and much more. All this is achieved in just a few simple steps.

In Instagram, with each update, there are many features for interacting with the audience. Let's talk about how to make a live broadcast on Instagram on Android.

How to start a live broadcast on Instagram on Android?
There is no button in the application interface on Android and IOS that would immediately take you to start broadcasting. Therefore, some users are confused and cannot turn on the broadcast. Let's talk about where to find the necessary buttons.
- First, make sure you have a fairly modern phone and the latest version of the app. Only if these conditions are met, you will be able to broadcast live.
- Find the story feed on the main page. Click here to add a story. Yes, everything is done through this interface.
- Here, to the left of the normal mode, there will be a tab through which you can start broadcasting.
How to make a joint broadcast?
Some don't know, but you can add a guest to your broadcast. How to do it? Pretty simple. But here, again, interface costs - some are looking for the appropriate buttons at the stage of launching a live video. But this should not be done here, but already when the conversation with the audience is in full swing.
- Follow the instructions above.
- There will be an icon with two smileys next to the comment input line. Click on it.
- It remains to choose a guest from the list of those who are online. I advise you to warn about your intentions in advance so as not to receive an unplanned refusal.
How to allow a limited circle of people to view?
Instagram has pretty good content privacy settings. The same applies, of course, to the functionality of stories and broadcasts. Yes, it’s all together – live video is inseparably linked with stories. And you can set them up only together. It's easy to do:
- Before going to the users, click on the gear in the upper left corner of the application.
- Here you can hide from some users, allow or deny replies, set up the saving of materials and the possibility of reposts. In general, I advise you to explore your options here in order to use the settings to the maximum.
How to block a user during power up?
Is it possible to block some subscribers during enable? I did not find such buttons in the interface. The Internet also did not have an exact answer to this question. But you can close the opportunity to join when you get the group of listeners you want. Also, of course, you can close the comments, then it is unlikely that someone undesirable will be able to spoil the mood of your listeners. If the information is exclusive and intended for a limited circle of people, you can actively use the list of best friends and turn on only for subscribers included in it.
Why is the broadcast not appearing?
What problems with the air can occur? Now there are practically none - a certain amount of time has passed since the run-in of this function, all profiles are connected, and if the latest version of the application is downloaded, the necessary buttons will be in the interface. The only exceptions are newly registered pages - this feature becomes available only some time after the profile is created. It is also worth preparing for the release of online video. Now I’m talking not so much about scheduling your conversation, but about the technical part: the phone must be modern so as not to slow down at the most inopportune moments, and the Internet connection is good enough for the picture quality to be acceptable to viewers.
Conclusion
How can I make a live broadcast on Instagram on Android? This functionality is very tightly tied to stories and is implemented on their basis.
