How to copy and share on instagram

4 Ways to Reshare Content From Other Users

Instagram is undoubtedly one of the most powerful social media platforms to increase brand reach and drive new business — but it can be time-consuming and expensive to consistently create the type of high-quality content you need to see long-term results.

Which is why reposting on Instagram is a powerful option for brands.

But, unlike other social platforms, Instagram doesn't offer a native tool to repost. Fortunately, we've got you covered. Here, we'll show you four different free ways to repost on Instagram in a few simple steps. Let's dive in. (Interested in why brands should repost on Instagram? Skip ahead to that section.)

(Note: While these reposting apps are all free, some require you to download the app from the iOS App Store or Google Play.)

How to Repost on Instagram Using a Screenshot

  1. Take a screenshot of the Instagram post you want to use.
  2. Tap the new post button located on the top right corner, select post.
  3. Resize the photo in the app.
  4. Edit and add filters of your choice.
  5. Add a citation.
  6. Add a caption.
  7. Click share on the top right corner.

To repost someone else's Instagram post, it’s best to obtain permission first to ensure you are not infringing on someone else’s copyright or license.

Additionally, giving the creator credit for their work is recommended. Once permissions are squared away, repost using one of the methods below.

The screenshot method doesn't require other websites to repost on Instagram. It's worth nothing that this method only works for reposting photos, not videos.

Here's how to do it.

1. Find a photo on Instagram you'd like to repost, and take a screenshot with your phone.

  • For iOS: Press down on the home and lock buttons simultaneously until your screen flashes.
  • For Android: Press down on the sleep/wake and volume down buttons simultaneously until your screen flashes.

2. Tap the new post button.

Once you've got your screenshot, return to your Instagram account. Tap the "new post button" in the top right of your Instagram screen (the plus sign inside a square).

Then select "Post" (other options include "Story" "Reels" or "Live").

3. Resize the photo in the app.

Keep in mind that your phone will take a screenshot of everything on your screen, not just the photo you want to repost. So, be prepared to crop the sides of the screenshot to capture just the image you want to share with your followers.

After you've cropped or resized the photo to your liking (by pinching the image and then widening your fingers apart), click "Next" in the top-right of your screen.

4. Edit and add filters of your choice.

Edit and filter the post like you would any other Instagram post.

5. Add a citation.

The repost won't include a citation, so we suggest adding one by typing "@ + [username]" to credit the original poster with the photo you're reposting.

6. Add a caption.

At the top you'll see a preview of your post along with space for a caption. You can choose to tag people or organizations, and add a location.

7. Click share.

Once you've finished customizing the post with the options above, click share at the top right corner. The post will be live.

Here's how the finished product looks:

Instagram Reposting Apps

In addition to using the screenshot method, you can also use a third-party app. The options below are our favorite apps for reposting on Instagram.

Repost: For Instagram

1. Download Repost: For Instagram.

Download Repost: For Instagram for iOS or Android. The app integrates directly with Instagram so you can share content from other Instagram users from your mobile device.

2. Identify a photo or video to repost.

Open your Instagram app and find a photo or video you'd like to repost from your own Instagram account. Tap your chosen photo from the original poster's photo gallery to see its full view, as shown below.

(Psst — do you follow HubSpot on Instagram?)

3. Copy the post's share URL to your clipboard.

Once you're on the photo's or video's landing page, tap the "..." icon in the upper-righthand corner of the post. Then, tap "Copy Link."

4. Open Repost: For Instagram.

Once the photo is copied to your phone's clipboard, open Repost: For Instagram. The post you copied will automatically be on the app's inbox, as shown below.

Tap the arrow on the right hand side of the post. There, you can edit how you want the repost icon to appear on Instagram. The app also allows you to add an Attribution mark directly on the image.

You can choose to copy the original caption to your post or add a new one later.

Next, tap "Share."

5. Select whether you want to post to your feed, your Story, or in a message.

For our purposes, we'll click "Post".

6. Edit the post's caption and share your repost.

Write a caption and click "OK" when finished.

When you're ready to share the post, tap "Share" as you would a regular Instagram post.

Reposta

1. Download Reposta.

Download Reposta for Android or Apple devices to get started.

2. In Instagram, copy a URL of an image you'd like to repost.

Open your Instagram and copy-and-paste the URL like you did for the instructions for Repost: For Instagram (Step #3, above).

3. Open Reposta to find your image.

Reposta automatically opens a URL once you've copied it. Now, in Reposta, you can edit the attribution (including the color and positioning), as well as the caption itself.

4. Click "Post to Instagram".

You'll see a few options below your image. For our purposes, choose "Post to Instagram". (Alternatively, you can save the image to use on a different date.)

5. Select whether you want to post to your feed or Instagram Story.

You have two options here: Story or Feed. Click "Feed".

6. Next, crop your image like you normally would.

Feel free to adjust the size or cropping of your image in this step. When you're ready, click "Next".

7. Edit your image and apply filters from within the Instagram app.

Here, you'll choose a filter and edit the image like you would any other Instagram image. When you're ready, click "Next".

8. Change the caption and re-post.

Feel free to give credit to the image owner in your caption — but remember you've also given them credit in the image itself. Add a location and tag people if you'd like, and then click "Share" when you're ready.

Here's how the post appears on your Instagram profile:

Using DownloadGram

DownloadGram lets Instagram users download high-resolution copies of Instagram photos and videos to repost from their own accounts. Luckily, there isn't an app you need to download to repost using this process. Here's how to do it:

1. Open Instagram and find a photo or video to repost.

Open your Instagram app and find the post you want to repost. Tap the "..." icon in the upper righthand corner of the post and click "Copy Share URL" (this button will be the same for both iOS and Android mobile devices).

2. Paste the post's share URL into DownloadGram.

Open your mobile internet browser and navigate to DownloadGram — or simply, downloadgram. org. Paste the URL into the text box that appears on the website's homepage. Then, tap "Download."

Tap the "Download Image" button that appears further down DownloadGram's homepage.

3. Download the post.

You'll be directed to a new webpage with the content ready to download. Tap the download icon — the box with an upward-facing arrow, as shown below — then tap "save image."

4. Open Instagram and find the photo or video in your camera roll.

Return to your Instagram app. The image will be saved to your phone's native camera roll, so edit it as you would any other Instagram post.

5. Add a caption and share your repost.

The repost won't include a citation, so we suggest adding one by typing "@ + [username]" to credit the original poster with the photo or video. Then, press "Share." Here's how the post appears on your Instagram profile:

1.

Open the instagram app and find the photo or video you'd like to add to your story.

2. Click the paper plane icon at the bottom of the post.

3. Click "Add post to your story."

4. Personalize the draft post with stickers or text.

You should see a draft of your story. Use the icons at the top to modify text, color, stickers and other animations.

5. Click "Your story" in the bottom left corner.

You also have the option to click "close friends" on the right, bottom corner (shown above) if you only want a select group to view your story.

Once you click "Your story" you'll see the option to click "Share" to repost your image to your Instagram Story.

With stories, the same best practices should be followed as for sharing a post. If you don’t know the person and suspect the content you’d like to re-share might be licensed material, ask for permission first. Give credit to the original posters whenever possible.

Why should your brand repost on Instagram?

First of all, it's important to understand the benefits of reposting images and videos.

Simply put, it takes a lot of time, effort, and resources to consistently create high-quality social content. And since most marketers post between 3-4 times per week, it's vital you have a backlog of content to keep up with demand.

Additionally, user-generated content (UGC) performs exceptionally well. In fact, 90% of consumers say UGC holds more influence over their buying decisions than promotional emails and even search engine results.

Reposting to Instagram can help you highlight brand endorsements from your customers, brand loyalists, and employees. UGC is typically considered more trustworthy, since a consumer isn't gaining anything by promoting your product or service (unless it's an advertisement) — they're just doing it to tell their audiences that they like your product.

For instance, consider the power of Warby Parker reposting this funny image from one of its customers, @cjronson:

Not only does the image likely appeal to Warby Parker customers, but it ultimately makes Warby Parker marketers' jobs easier — now they don't need to create all their own content in-house.

How to repost on Instagram

(Image credit: Repost: For Instagram)

If you want to repost on Instagram, you'll find isn't as easy as on other social networks. Unlike retweeting on Twitter or sharing on Facebook, you can't just click to repost as Instagram doesn't have a repost function. There are ways to do it, but there are a few things to keep in mind. This article will take you through how to repost, and the things to watch out for.

Why would you want to repost someone else's content? Well, reposting is a great way to shake up your feed, as well as take the pressure off you to come up with original posts. It's also a fantastic way to show that you appreciate the work of your peers. But it's crucial to remember that from a legal point of view, reposting other people's content is a grey area, and you need to have the right permissions before you do it.

After a different Insta trick? Here's how to change the font in your Instagram bio or how to activate Instagram's dark mode.

Do I need permission to repost on Instagram?

According to Instagram's Community Guidelines , "The best way to help make sure that the content you post to Instagram doesn’t violate copyright law is to only post content that you’ve created yourself.

However, Instagram also says, "You might also be able to use someone else’s content on Instagram if you’ve gotten permission (for example, a license), or if your use is covered by fair use or some other exception to copyright."

The guidelines then get a little vague. "It’s generally a good idea to get permission before posting content, and to get that permission in writing."

How that written permission might be sought isn't outlined. And without proper guidelines, it seems the most practical solution is to simply ask the poster in a comment or DM. For example, "Hey, I love this post. Would it be okay if I repost?" Also bear in mind that the person posting the content may not actually own it.

If you do get permission to repost, you should always make sure that you post image credit. Simply tagging someone in a post is not enough.

How to repost on Instagram

So you've got permission and you're ready to repost, but how do you actually go about it? If you type in repost for Instagram on the App Store you get a lot of different versions of basically the same thing. Some of them are better to use than others, and we've had problems in the past with reposting apps occasionally going on the blink. Our current favourite for iOS is Repost+ for Instagram , and for Android, we like Repost for Instagram .

01. Copy post link in Instagram

Choose 'copy link' on the photo or video you want to repost (Image credit: Future)

How does the process work, though? All of these apps work in basically the same way. You start in Instagram, where you tap the three dots at the top of the post you want to share, then select 'copy link' or 'copy share URL'. You should get a little message that says 'link copied to clipboard'.

02. Open Instagram reposting app

Reposting apps are all slightly different, but include variations of the interface shown here (Repost: For Instagram) (Image credit: Future)

You then open up your Instagram reposting app of choice, where the post you've saved should appear. You will then be able to choose where the attribution mark goes (top left-hand corner, bottom right, and so on), or sometimes remove it.

You will also be given the option to copy the original caption. Repost: for Instagram does this for you automatically. It's good practice to copy the original caption, as it is another way to credit the original poster.

03. Add your own caption in Instagram

You can add your own caption above the pasted original caption (Image credit: Future)

You then go back into Instagram – the app should make this straightforward – where you can decide whether to repost in your feed or as an Instagram Story. If you want to repost as a Story then you can't copy over the caption, see our guide to Instagram Stories for how to use Stories.

Once you've chosen how to repost, you can also make any adjustments to the image, namely using a different filter – although we don't recommend editing the work of other people.

If you want to use the original caption, click 'Paste' and it will copy over (on some apps you can choose for it to automatically copy in the reposting app). The pasted over caption will contain the name of the reposting app as well as the Instagram handle of the person whose work you're reposting.

You can then choose to add your own caption above the original caption. If you're struggling to do this it may be because the original caption was already at Instagram's character limit (2,200 characters). Don't forget to check that the photo credit is included, and you should be good to go.

Other Instagram reposting options

Alternatively, you could choose to take a screenshot and then post to your own account, but as this doesn't display any sort of tag to show that your post is reposted, we don't recommend this.

Social media managers such as Buffer also include reposting features, although you'll have to pay.

all ways - Social networks on vc.ru

At the moment, Instagram is one of the most popular social networks and every day there are more and more of its users. But beginners often have questions related to some technical issues, especially when it comes to transferring links to their personal account. After all, when a user starts his page, he wants to share this event with friends and colleagues as soon as possible, and it’s very disappointing when something doesn’t work out.

Let's discuss the most common obstacles that prevent newbies from sharing a link to their account. And we will find out what ways exist to declare your presence on Instagram or vice versa, hide this fact and restrict access to your account.

Where is the link to the account in the Instagram mobile application

Despite the very clear interface of Instagram, users of the social network often have a problem how to find and copy a link to their personal profile from a mobile application. Instagram versions do exist.

How to copy Instagram profile link

From phone

Many people are interested in how to copy a link to an Instagram profile from a phone. There are several ways to share it with your friends. You can get a link to your personal page through another user, for this you need:

  • go to your account page from someone else's Instagram profile;
  • select the “three dots” sign and in the window that opens, click on “Share this profile”;
  • in the line that appears, enter your name or select it from the list of dialogs;
  • then we give commands “send” and “ready”;
  • we return to our account, open the dialogue where our message came;
  • hold down a profile message to display a panel at the bottom;
  • select “share” and send a link to your personal profile to the recipients we need.

If you need to send a link to your personal profile to another social network or messenger, then:

  • in the “menu” section, click on “copy profile url”;
  • open the desired dialog;
  • paste the link we copied from the clipboard and send it to the desired address.

And another easy way to copy a link to Instagram from your phone:

  • go to your account;
  • select any publication from us, open it;
  • click on the “three dots” sign and click “Share to…”;
  • from the proposed list, select the application we need and send the link to the destination.

In this case, the message will include a direct link to the publication and a signature from it. When switching, the user will open the Instagram mobile application, he will go to the page with your post and by clicking on your name at the top of the post, he will go to the Instagram profile.

If your account is private and no other person is following it, all posts will be hidden. The user will immediately go to the main page of your profile on Instagram.

From computer

Copying a link to your Instagram profile via PC is even easier:

  • Run any browser on your computer.
  • Find the social network Instagram in the search engine and, if necessary, log in to your account.
  • In the upper right corner, click on the icon and select the link to your page in the address bar with the mouse cursor.
  • Next, by pressing the right mouse button, select the "Copy" item.

Obtaining a reference via a manual template

You can also share a link to your Instagram account using manual methods. You write the address of the official Instagram website: https://www.instagram.com and add your nickname to it (for example: smm-novastar), which is unique and as a result you get the same unique address for your page, which you can share with friends and colleagues: https://www.instagram.com/smm-novastar

How to copy url to someone else's Instagram profile

In order to copy the url to someone else's Instagram profile, you first need to go to it. Opposite the display of his login, you will see a sign of three dots. You click on it and select "Copy profile url". Thus, you get a link to someone else's Instagram profile, which you can share in messages or save it in your contacts.

How to send a link to Direct

In order to send a link to a profile in Direct, you need to go to it, click the “three dots” sign at the top right and click “Share this profile”. In the search field, select the recipient with whom we want to share the link, click "Send" and your message will automatically be sent to him, along with the link.

To send a link in Direct to your favorite Instagram post (it can be either a photo or a video), just open it in view mode and click on the airplane sign. Thus, you can share your own and other people's publications.

You can also share interesting Stories in Direct messages. To do this, when viewing the history, you need to click on the familiar airplane and select the recipient.

But keep in mind that if you share posts or stories of a private profile, then the recipient will be able to see this content only by subscribing to it.

You can attach links to not only internal but also external resources to a message in Direct: websites, other social networks, instant messengers.

Creating a QR business card on Instagram

A business card with a QR code for Instagram was originally created to personalize Instagrammers. Creating a QR business card on Instagram helps users quickly find the profile of a blogger or business account they are interested in.

Business card allows you to find a user without entering a nickname and creates a "name tag. It can be placed in any messenger, social network, website.

To create a business card, you need the official version of the mobile application. Then you need to get a QR code on Instagram and for this you need to do a few simple steps:

  • log into your Instagram account;
  • open the news feed, and then click on the profile picture in the lower right corner;
  • click in the upper right corner on the three horizontal stripes;
  • further, to open a menu with a different design of business cards, you need to click on the tab "Instagram business card";
  • do not forget to save the result to the smartphone gallery.

You can create a personal business card not only on a mobile phone, but also on a PC. To do this, go to the browser, click on the profile picture in the upper right corner, go to the "Settings" section, select the gear symbol and click on it. Then click on the "Instagram business card" tab, create a background and save.

How to insert an active link into your profile

In order to insert an active link into your personal profile, in the profile header, go to your Instagram account and select the "About me" and "Website" fields.
Then you:
1. Click on the "Edit profile" button.
2. Double-click on the line "About Me" and "Website".
3. Select the "Insert" command and add your link.
4. Save all the changes made by clicking the "Save" button in the upper right corner of the screen.
The added link will be blue, active. By clicking on it, you can go to any other web resource.

How to copy a link to a private profile

To copy the link to a closed Instagram account, you can use the address bar of your browser, as in the case of an open account. To do this, go to any web browser and open the page of the user we need. Select its url-address and click "Copy".

The next method is no more difficult than the previous one. All you need to do is add your private profile login after the address of the Instagram social networking site. For example, a private profile nickname is smm-novastar. Then the link to the account will look like this - the address of the Instagram site itself (https://www.instagram.com) and your nickname: https://www.instagram.com/smm-novastar And when you go to this address, the user will be taken to to the desired closed account.

Transition via multilink

Such a useful tool as multilinks allows you to give a link to a business card site, where it will be possible to make a transition through a multilink to all your profiles. These are instant messengers and social networks. You will be able to share your contacts with the audience and not lose customers if you are in business.

To create multilinks, special constructor services are used, for example, such as: Taplink or Ylink.

In order to use a multilink in working with the Instagram social network, you need to:

  • Select the appropriate service-constructor and log in to it.
  • Add block “Social networks”.
  • Customize the display of the go to Instagram button.
  • Save changes.
  • Copy the link generated by the service. This will be the url address to the business card site, where you can add links to your social networks and instant messengers, including your Instagram account.

How do I make my account private?

There are situations when users want to close their profile from outside observers and add to subscribers only those whom they really know or that contacts are really important to them.

It's easy enough to make your profile private.

For this you need:

  • Go to the "Edit" and "Privacy and Security" section.
  • In the first paragraph, check the box next to “Closed profile”.

You can also hide your Instagram page from a specific person. For example, who is rude to you, writes offensive comments, or you are simply tired of his obsessive attention.

To do this, you need to do the following:

  • Click on the person icon or on your photo (lower right corner of the display). This action will open your profile.
  • Next, click on the three sticks (upper right corner). Select “Settings”, then “Privacy” > “Contacts” > “Restricted Accounts”.
  • Click the Continue button.
  • Find the required contact > click "Restrict" next to the name of the person you want to restrict access to your Instagram account.

Good luck with maintaining and promoting your Instagram account! Share a link to your profile and collect more followers among friends and new acquaintances!

how to copy a link to your Instagram - wishdo

Where is the link to your Instagram page and how to copy it from the application - see this note.

I was sorting through the applications for the vacancy of a smmsman in wishdo, when suddenly I came across a guy’s comment: “I would love to add a link to my Instagram, but I don’t know where to get it. Therefore, here is my nickname ... ".

I thought it was so obvious! But, rummaging through the application, I realized that yes, the link is hidden well. Our SMM Head Valya Aronson helped me find her, for which I am very grateful to her.

It turned out to be so elementary, but for some reason not quite obvious.

So I decided to share the instructions with you. Just in case 🙂

  • Open the Instagram app on your mobile device. Go to your page.
  • In the upper right corner, click on the three bars. Select "Instagram business card".
  • Your business card will open in front of you, which you can download. But we are interested in the button with the arrow in the upper right corner. Click on it and select "Copy".
  • That's it, the link to your page has been copied, you can share it.
Click on "Instagram Business Card" - there is a link to your Instagram

Unfortunately, I'm not sure if this option will work on Android. Perhaps on some devices - yes, on some - no. Gena and Valya conducted a small investigation and shared the results with me (see the screen below).

Therefore, just in case, I save a few more options on how to find and copy the link. After all, Instagram is a very “live” social network. The interface is constantly changing in the application, functions appear and disappear. So keep five more options to link to your Instagram.

1. Copy to a computer. Just open your page in a browser and copy the link. Easy peasy.

How to copy a link to your Instagram: option from a computer

Options for copying from a phone

2. Go to your mobile browser (NOT the application). Enter Instagram in the search. Add your nickname to the website URL (https://www. instagram.com/). Important: no @ after /. Copy.

How to copy a link to your Instagram from your phone: browser option

3. If you have several Instagram accounts, go to the application, log in to another account (not the one you need to link to). Find your page from it. In the upper right corner, click on the dots. "Copy Profile URL".

For example, I need a link to the @milaya_dashka account. I log in through @wishdo.agency agency account. And already from him in the search I'm looking for @milaya_dashka. Ellipsis - "Copy".

How to copy a link to your Instagram: option from a mobile application from another account

4. Enter the address yourself. It is enough to learn (it's not difficult, really) the address of the social network: http://www.instagram.com/. Next, add your nickname without @.

For example, "www.instagram.com/wishdo.agency". And if you add “https://” at the beginning, there will be no price at all. Then the link in the questionnaire will definitely be active.
