1. Navigate to linktr.ee/ to create your free account.
2. Follow the on-screen prompts to describe your account’s category.
3. Select your preferred business plan.
4. After selecting your plan, explore your dashboard and add new links.
5. To begin adding links to your Linktree, you have two options:
- Select Add New Link and a card (as shown in the image below) will appear where you fill in the relevant title and URL.
- Or, you can click on Explore Link to view various link options based on the content, such as music or video links.
Regardless of the method you choose, your completed link should look similar to the image below.
6. Once you’ve added all of your links, the icons at the bottom of the tiles allow you to make card-specific edits.

Nowadays, most of us are active in various social networks. There is Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, just to name a few. If you're a creator who works across multiple platforms, choosing the right profile to share with your Instagram audience is no easy task. But did you know that all these links can be combined into one? Today we will look at a service called Linktree that allows us to do this.
Why do you need Linktree for Instagram
If you don't have more than 10k followers on Instagram, the only way to add a clickable link to your content is to add it to your bio. Another catch is that you can only share one link on your profile. You can easily solve this problem by creating a custom page in Linktree. It also allows you to add YouTube, Soundcloud, and other services. Now you share your Linktree link on Instagram and fans can discover all the content you create across all platforms. So, without further ado, let's see how it's done.
How to create a Linktree account
You can easily create a Linktree account using your email address or using the Google Quick Sign In option.
- Open the Linktree website and click on the sign up option in the top right corner.

2. Now add all the details such as your email address, username and password. Then click "Register".

4. On the next page, select plan options. In our case, we will use a paid plan. Click "Continue with Free" to complete the setup.
5. You will need to verify your account before you can use Linktree. Just go to your inbox and click "Verify Email Address". On the next page, click Continue. That's all. You have now successfully created a Linktree account and are automatically redirected to your dashboard.
How to Create an Instagram Link Tree
A common misconception is that you can create an Instagram Linktree page in the first place. This is wrong. You can only add and edit links using the Linktree Dashboard. Let's see how it's done.
- Go to the Linktree Dashboard (home page) and click the Add New Link button to get started.
2. You will get a new URL tab as soon as you click the new link button. You have two options; the first is the title, the second is the URL. The title is the name that will be displayed on the Linktree page, and the URL is the website associated with it. In my case, I added a link to my YouTube channel and the name is YouTube Vaibhav.
Follow the same process to add more links. Just click "Add New Link" and enter a title and URL.
To put things into perspective, check out the preview of the Linktree page on the right side of the toolbar. It keeps updating as soon as you make any changes.
3. Getting to the point, how do you share a Linktree link? You can copy the link or download the QR code. We are going to use the first option. To do this, click the "Share" button in the upper right corner. Now click Copy my Linktree URL.
4. Open your Instagram profile and click the Edit Profile button at the top.
5. Now scroll down to the "Website" option, paste the link tree URL and click "Submit" at the bottom of the page. Voila, you have successfully created a Linktree and linked it to Instagram.
If you want to edit, add or remove any URLs, you can easily do so from your Linktree profile.
