The only thing missing so far is the ability to upload a new profile photo directly from the app. Of course, we can select a profile photo from the existing photos that are already in the album, but I wanted to directly upload the photo to the profile album and then apply it as the new display profile picture. Here is one way to do it.

Note . There is currently no direct way to upload photos to your profile photo album using apps, and this is just one of many possible ways. If you're looking for a way to upload the new photo you just took to your phone, it couldn't be any smoother than the method below.

Installing a new Facebook profile photo from Android and iOS

Step 1: Since we can't upload photos directly to the profile photo album, we'll upload them to our Facebook wall but hide them from everyone else.

To do this, open the Facebook app on your smartphone and press the Photo button. Select the picture you want to apply as your next profile picture and click the Generate Update button. Here you need to make sure that you must limit the visibility of the post to only me . You don't want to show your friends what you are doing.

Step 2: Don't worry about cropping your photo, it will be taken care of when you choose it as your profile photo.
