Instagram is one of the most popular and widely used social media apps that is mostly used for sharing photos. Around 95 million images are uploaded on Instagram regularly. Apart from sharing photos, it is also used to share videos. If you love using Instagram, you might have wondered how to see who viewed your Instagram posts. It is one of the most popularly asked questions on the internet. Before we proceed to See who viewed your Instagram post, keep in mind that you can only see the number of times your post was viewed but not who viewed your post. You can only see who viewed your photo or video if you have placed it in your story.
Unfortunately, you can't see who viewed your Instagram post. If you have uploaded a video or image directly into your feed, then there are only two stats that you can view, the number of views you have received and who liked your post. Instagram doesn't provide its user with access to this data. But the access to see who liked your posts is the same as who viewed them. Because all those who liked your post have also viewed it. But this only shows a limited number of people, and you will not be able to see who viewed and not liked your post.
There are two methods to see who viewed your post on Instagram. You might find these methods less accurate and less effective, but trust me these are the only methods that you can use to see who viewed your posts.
01. How to see who viewed your Instagram post using Stories
02. How to see who viewed your Instagram post using likes
03. How to see who viewed your Instagram post using third-party apps?
How to see who viewed your Instagram post using Stories
Does it mean you will never know who viewed your post? Yes, you can. You can see who viewed your video or photo only when you upload it through the story. Your story allows you to see who viewed your photo or video. After you have uploaded a photo or a video in your story, you can easily track the people who viewed it by following few simple steps.
Step 1: After you have successfully uploaded your video or photo on your Instagram story, wait for some time so that people can see your story. After 5 to 10 minutes, tap on Your Story located at the top left corner of Instagram.
Step 2: When you tap on 'Your Story', a new window will open up showing you your image or video that you have uploaded. Now at the bottom left corner, you will number of people who have viewed your story, tap on it.
Step 3: Now you can see the number of people who viewed your story and all those people who have viewed your Instagram story.
This is the easiest way of how to see who viewed your Instagram post. But if you are thinking about the images and videos that you post your feed or timeline, then you can see the number of people who viewed your post all those who liked it by following these few simple steps.
How to see who viewed your Instagram post using likes
Step 1: Go to any post that you want to track and see how many people have viewed and who liked it. Below your video or image, you can see 'Liked by'. Click on the 'others' next to the name of the person who liked your post.
Step 2: Now at the top of the screen, you will see two numbers. The first number shows how many people have viewed your image or video and the second number shows the number of people who liked it. And the list below these numbers is the list of people who have liked your post.
Since this method doesn't show you who viewed your Instagram post, it gives your few names in people who liked your post. These are the people who also viewed your post. I know this is not complete but Instagram doesn't provide the data of people who viewed your post. So in that case, you can use this data to have an idea about who viewed your post.
How to see who viewed your Instagram post using third-party apps? Is it really possible?
After knowing that Instagram doesn't provide the service to see who viewed your post, most users try to find alternative third-party apps that can help them achieve this task. You can easily find hundreds of apps that claim to show you who viewed your post as well as your profile. But don't be fooled by these apps. When Instagram itself is not providing this data to its users and hiding this data, no one can do that for you. All the apps that claim to show you who viewed your profile and illegitimate and not trustworthy. By downloading and installing these apps into your phone, you are risking your privacy and security. Facebook acquired Instagram in 2016 ensures that there is no other way of how to see who viewed your Instagram posts because both Facebook and Instagram are using the same policies and site. Facebook doesn't allow its user to access such data so does Instagram. There is no other way except the above two methods of how to see who viewed your Instagram post.

How To See Who Viewed Your Instagram Posts (Photos, Videos, & Stories)
By Joseph Maring
Instagram makes it incredibly easy to upload a photo or video to the app. But is it just as easy to see who's viewing all of your uploads?
Instagram gives users lots of controls and settings to fine-tune their experience in the app, but is there a way to see who viewed your Instagram posts? Since its launch in 2010, Instagram has been well established as one of the biggest social media platforms on the planet. It's well-known, free to use, and one of those social apps that everyone seems to have an account for.
But that doesn't mean Instagram is perfect. As more and more features have been added, knowing how to do 'simple' tasks has become more complicated. Instagram lets users switch back to a chronological home page, but you may miss the option entirely unless you know precisely where to look. There are also hidden settings to see your first likes, restore deleted content, and stop autoplay videos. These are all important features to be aware of, but more often than not, Instagram hides them in plain sight.

With so many features/settings to keep track of, many Instagram users likely assume there's an option to see who viewed their posts on the app. And it's a fair assumption to make! Given everything Instagram's capable of, having a tool to see who's viewing your photo and video posts seems like something that should exist. Unfortunately, it's not quite that simple.
How To See Who Viewed Your Instagram Photos/Videos
For photos and videos uploaded to your Instagram feed/timeline, there's currently no way to see who has viewed those posts. It's not something enabled by default, and there's no option in Instagram's settings to do so. It may seem silly to not have such a feature, but as it stands today, Instagram doesn't allow you to keep tabs on who's viewing your posts.
One workaround to this is looking at who's liked your posts. If you're on Instagram and viewing one of your posts, tapping 'Liked by' underneath it shows which users have liked that photo or video. It's not a perfect workaround, but anyone who has liked an Instagram post has also seen it. Videos you've uploaded to Instagram also show how many views they've received. It doesn't tell you who watched that video, but Instagram does tell you how many people have seen it.
How To See Who Viewed Your Instagram Stories
Thankfully, Instagram isn't quite so strict with Instagram Stories posts. While it's impossible to see who has viewed photos/videos published on the timeline, Instagram readily shows you who's viewed posts on your Stories page. Here's how to do it:
- Open the Instagram app.
- Tap 'Your story' at the top left of the screen.
- Swipe up.
Here, Instagram shows users how many views a Stories post has received and a full list of who's seen that post — including the person's name, username, and profile picture. If you've uploaded multiple Stories posts over the last 24 hours, you can tap each one to see who's viewed that specific post.
But that's not all. While Stories expire after 24 hours, Instagram still shows you the viewer list up to 48 hours after a Stories post is published. Here's how to find it:
- From the Instagram app, tap the profile icon at the bottom right.
- Tap the three lines in the top right corner.
- Tap 'Archive.'
- Tap one of your Stories posts.
- Swipe up.
- If that Stories post was uploaded within 48 hours, you'll still be able to see who's viewed it.
While it's irritating that Instagram doesn't let you see who's viewed your regular photo/video posts, at least being able to see a viewer list for your Instagram Stories content is a nice touch. Will any of this change in the future? That's difficult to say. Instagram may eventually let you see who's viewed 'normal' posts, or it may keep that functionality exclusive to Stories.

How to see who watched a video on Instagram, how to find out the number of views
Many users would like to see who watched their video on Instagram. This will allow not only to satisfy your own curiosity, but also to understand which direction to choose to promote your account. Is it possible to see the secret fans of a page on a social network? How to do it? You will find answers to these questions in the text of our article.
Why Instagram doesn't display video views
The official Instagram app allows you to view your post and profile statistics for free. Namely, to see who watched photos, videos and even stories.
Among other things, the total number of views of your records in the "Statistics" section will be available. The number of visits and other interactions with your page is also noted there.
If this information is not displayed, then there is most likely a reason for this. Namely:
- old program version;
- poor quality internet connection;
- Wrong account type.
And of course, each of them has its own solution:
- Update the software for Instaset via the AppStore or Google Market, or delete it and reinstall it on your phone.
- Connect to Wi-Fi or catch the moment when your speed is at its "peak".
- Go to the "Settings" menu and the "Accounts" section, scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap on the "Switch to a professional account" button.
Good to know. After switching the type of account, wait a while for the analytics section to “accumulate” a little. Otherwise, empty tabs will appear before you again.
How to reveal visitors who viewed publics
To find out who watched the video and how many times it will take:
- Pick up a tablet or smartphone based on the Android or iOS operating system.
- Unlock the screen and launch the Instagram social networking application.
- Log in to your account using a standard login (nickname/email address/mobile number) and password.
- Click on the "person" icon in the bottom menu.
- Click on any prominent publication.
- Scroll down and select View statistics.
Here you can evaluate the following information:
- number of likes and comments;
- how many times subscribers shared this post or bookmarked it;
- number of profile visits through this entry;
- impressions and reach.
The values of the last item just mean how many times your video has been viewed for more than 3 seconds.
Note. You can look at the statistics not only under the clip, but also under the photos.
Is it possible to find out the names of all visitors who watched the video
Let's move on to the main question of the article - can you see who watched the video in your post? The answer is unequivocal - no. Instagram developers try to maintain a strict privacy policy among their clients. After all, how can you feel free when all your actions are shown on the page of the idol.
Despite this, you will be able to note:
- the number of hits;
- list of users who liked the entry in the feed.
If everything is clear with the first point, then in order to see who rated your video, follow a simple algorithm of actions:
- Go to Instagram and go through the "little man" to your profile.
- Tap on the appropriate video.
- Scroll down and click on "Like...(number)".
Done. Now you can see who liked the material you posted.
Are there alternative ways?
Of course, there are alternative ways to find out who watched the video on Instagram:
- through your history;
- broadcasting live;
- using third-party utilities.
To understand how they work, let's look at each option in more detail.
The first step-by-step instruction will be as follows:
- Go to the Instaset program and log in.
- Swipe the screen to the right. This will allow you to switch to story mode.
- Shoot a new clip or upload one from the gallery.
- Edit it: apply filters, text or various stickers.
- Click on "Recipient" and choose who will see the story.
- Confirm the publication with the "Share" button.
After some time, the statistics we need will be displayed under the 15-second clip. To estimate the number of impressions, turn on the story and swipe up from the bottom of the screen.
For your information. If the “Private profile” option is checked, then only followers will be able to see your story.
In the second one, everything is a little simpler:
- Enter the story mode.
- Scroll the bottom menu to the left to "Live".
- Confirm your decision with the "On air" button.
During the broadcast, your viewers will be displayed in the lower left corner.
The third option is designed to keep track of the "fans" who visited your page and viewed the published video clips, you will have to use special programs. The AppStore and Google Market are just bursting with similar ones, but Instagram developers do not advise downloading them. After all, most often these spy apps can "merge" your account information to unauthorized persons.
Finding out who viewed the video on your Instagram feed proved impossible, but don't despair. Other equally popular tools are also suitable for promoting your business profile. For example, advertising promotions through Facebook.

When you frequently post videos on Instagram, you may be interested in who watched them. So you can find out which audience perceives your content better, and in the future you will shoot more videos adapted to the audience. Therefore, let's look at how to find out who watched your videos on the social network.
How to find out who viewed your videos on Instagram feed
Unfortunately, the Instagram functionality does not allow you to see who exactly watched your videos in the feed or Reels.
But there are two "freelance" ways to do this - make a repost from the feed to stories or use third-party utilities.
How to find out who watched the Instagram video through stories
In the first case, you will display through the story that you posted the video to the feed. To do this, you need:
- Go to Instagram and open your personal profile.
- Upload the video to the feed, subscribe and add hashtags for promotion among the target audience.
- Open the post with the clip and click on the airplane icon next to the comments. You can do the same if you go to the IGTV section.
- Select "Add post to your story".
- Decorate stories with emojis or stickers, you can add text as well.
- Publish a story.
When the story is published, you will be able to see through Instagram statistics who went to the publication, interacted with the story and went to the profile.
The statistics will display who exactly these people are. Therefore, you can roughly understand who viewed your video content in the feed the most. If you can't find the stats, it's likely that you haven't connected a professional account. To do this:
- Go to the settings and open the "Account" item.
- Click on the inscription "Switch to a professional account". If you have connected your Facebook to Instagram, you can do it without any problems. If not, you will have to link the social network to Facebook.
- Mark in the settings what type of activity you have and what kind of page - author's or for business.
- Save the settings and then check the statistics. Data will begin to be collected after 2-3 days of activity in the profile.
In statistics, you need to go to the analysis of activity in stories, and then select the desired parameter and view data on it.
How to find out who watched the video in the Instagram feed through applications
The AppStore or Google Play regularly release new applications that guarantee that they will show all the activity on the Instagram profile.
We, like Instagram admins, do not recommend using unverified programs.
And there is one service that will help you find out more information about the actions of other users and which I would like to recommend - Instaspy!
This service will tell you who liked whom, who followed whom and many other interesting details about the user's life on Instagram. The program has been tested by us and is 100% safe for your profile.
Follow our link to get 3 test days of Instaspy with all features for only 1 ruble.
How to find out who has watched Reels videos Instagram
Recently there is a new format on Instagram - Reels or short videos that resemble TikTok clips.
Two types of information about such content are available to the author of the videos - who liked and who commented. Who watched the video, the social network also does not reflect.
But you can collect an audience by likes and comments - it's especially good if the number of views matches the likes.
