How to add your Facebook profile to your InstagramStep 1: From your Instagram profile, open Settings by tapping on the hamburger menu at the top right corner.

Step 2: Select Accounts Centre under the Meta section.
Step 3: Select ‘Add a Facebook Account’.
Step 4: Enter your Facebook Login details.
Step 5: Tap on ‘Yes, finish setup’.
Your Facebook account will be linked to your Instagram profile. You will also get the option to sync your profile picture between the two platforms.
How to share Instagram posts and stories on FacebookYou can share your Instagram posts on Facebook by selecting ‘Also post to Facebook’ every time you create a post on Instagram. You can also automatically share every post to Facebook by going to Meta Accounts Centre in your Settings and turning on ‘Automatically share’.
Here’s how you can share your stories on your Facebook account
Step 1: Go to Settings by tapping the hamburger menu on your Instagram profile.
Step 2: Go to Privacy and select Story.
Step 3: Turn on the toggle bar for ‘Share your story on Facebook’.
All your stories will be automatically shared to Facebook.
While there are a lot of cross-platform functions and features you can make use of, you cannot log into your Facebook using Instagram. However, you can log into Instagram using Facebook. Simply go to the Instagram login window and select ‘Login with Facebook’. Instagram will ask you for your Facebook login credentials, after which you will be able to log in.

So, while you may not be able to log into Facebook using Instagram, you can still log into Instagram using Facebook. Can I Log Into Facebook Using Instagram Account – Logging into Facebook using Instagram is not an option but the vice versa can actually be done and you can log into your Instagram using your Facebook account only if they are connected to each other.

To link your Instagram account to a Facebook Page follow the links which are directly from Instagram support:
Android
- Go to your profile and tap .
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Account > Linked Accounts, then select Facebook.
- If you haven’t already, enter your Facebook login information.
- By default, your Instagram account will link to your personal Facebook profile. To link to a Page instead, choose a Page that you manage below Share to.
iPhone
- Go to your profile and tap .
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Account > Linked Accounts, then select Facebook.
- If you haven’t already, enter your Facebook login information.
- By default, your Instagram account will link to your personal Facebook profile.
To link to a Page instead, tap Share to and choose a Page that you manage.
- Open Instagram and tap “Get help signing in”
- Enter your Instagram username or email address
- Click “Send email”
- Open your email account
- In the email from Instagram, click the log in button
- Enter a new IG password
- Tap “Reset password”
Instagram is without a doubt my favorite social media platform.
So, imagine my horror when last week I got my shiny new Samsung Galaxy S9, only to forget the passwords to two of my Instagram accounts.
It happens to almost all of us. It could be you’ve got a new device, like me. Perhaps you want to reset your Instagram password, but you can’t remember your existing password to do so.
Maybe you’re practicing Instagram marketing for your business, and the person who set up the account left the company.
Whatever your reason, when you find yourself stuck trying (and failing) to remember your Instagram password, here’s what to do.
These step-by-step instructions will walk you through retrieving your Instagram password through an email address. If you can’t remember your email address, the FAQ section below will help you on
1. Open InstagramOpen Instagram from your phone or computer, and click “Get help signing in.”
Note: If you try signing in with the incorrect login details, the below image will appear. Click on the option that says “Send Email,” then jump ahead to Step No. 4.
2. Enter your Instagram username or email addressInstagram will prompt you to enter your username, email address, or phone number. (If you’re stuck remembering the exact characters you used try asking a friend who follows you.
)
After you enter your username or email address, click the blue button that says “next.”
3. Request an email from InstagramAt the next step, you’ll be asked if you want Instagram to send you an email, or if you want to log in with Facebook.
In this tutorial, I’m demonstrating how to log in with an email address. This is my preferred method of password recovery. As I have multiple Instagram accounts, they are not all connected with my Facebook profile.
Email is also the preferred method to recover your Instagram password when you are running a business account.
Given this, tap the button that says “Send an email.”
(If you don’t remember your email address, check out the next section with FAQs.)
A screen will then appear informing you that an email has been sent.
4. Open the email sent from InstagramLog in to your email address and after a few minutes, an email from Instagram will appear. (Be sure to check your promotions and spam folder.
)
Once you’ve opened your email from Instagram, you’ll see a blue button with your Instagram account username.
6. Create a new IG passwordEnter your new Instagram password, then tap the “Reset Password” button.
Note: The “Reset Password” button will become blue after your type your new password. Before this, you cannot click on it.
Once you’ve completed those steps, you will again be logged in to your Instagram account. (Woo hoo!)
Now, make sure you put your new Insta password someplace safe!
Can I Log Into Facebook Using Instagram Account – Forgotten Instagram password FAQsStill struggling to log in to your Instagram account? Whether you’re missing the email from Instagram or you need your Instagram email address too, you’ll find your solution here.
Why didn’t I get the password reset email from Instagram?If you didn’t get the email from Instagram to reset your password, try to wait a few minutes and be patient.
(It’s hard, I know!)
If you’ve given it a good 10 minutes and you’re still waiting, make sure you have a strong internet connection. If you were in a spot with spotty WiFi or poor reception, go back to step No. 3 and try re-sending the automated Instagram email.
Next, it’s time to check the other folders in your email’s inbox. For example, I have Gmail, and my forgotten password email from Instagram went to my “promotions” folder.
Make sure to check all potential folders on your email account. If you still don’t see the email, you may need to reset your spam filter. Then, go back and follow the steps above to request a new password email from Instagram.
What if I forgot my Instagram password and email address?So you don’t remember your email address either? Well, you won’t receive any judgement from me! I’m currently managing six email addresses (I think…) so I completely understand how you can forget which email address goes with which account.
Hopefully, if you can’t remember your email address, you can at least remember your username, phone number, or Facebook account associated with your account.
You can still reset your Instagram password with a phone number or Facebook account.
The steps will be simple to the instructions shared above.
How to retrieve your Insta password with FacebookTo log in to Instagram using Facebook, open Facebook and tap “Get help signing in,” as shown in step No.2 above.
Then, on the screen that appears, click “log in with Facebook.”
From there, you will be asked to enter your Facebook login details. You will then be able to enter and save a new password.
How to retrieve your Insta password with a phone number
If you’re tired of logging in to digital platforms (and remembering those email accounts and Facebook passwords!) you can also reset your password using your phone number.
When you forget your Instagram password, here’s how to log in with the help of a handy text message: Open Instagram and tap “Get helping signing in.
”
On the next screen that appears, (step No. 2, as pictured above), enter the phone number associated with your Instagram account.
You will then receive an SMS (text message) from Instagram. From here, you can reset your Instagram password.
I can’t access the email address associated with my Insta account What do I do?If you no longer have access to the email address associated with your IG account, you can still create a new password with your phone number or Facebook account, as shared above.
When those avenues also lead to dead ends, Instagram recommends contacting your email provider.
What happens if I enter the wrong IG password too many times?If you’re pretty sure you know your Instagram password, but can’t seem to get those characters just right, Instagram will only give you so many attempts.

When you try to log in with the wrong password too many times, Instagram will temporarily lock you out of your account.
On your screen, a notification will appear, asking to send a text to your Instagram phone number. You’ll need to then verify your account through that text message.
Restore Instagram account - with and without Facebook

If the name was not found, then you need to make sure that the characters are entered correctly. You don't need to put the @ sign in front of the nickname.
There is an option to ask friends to open your profile and send a screenshot with the exact name.
After that, the system will send the code to the contacts specified during registration. You will only have to check your emails and the list of incoming SMS.
Attention! These messages often end up in the Spam folder.
If now there is no access to any of the specified contacts, then the method of restoring the Instagram profile through Facebook will help. But this won't work for everyone.
Recovery via Facebook
