How to know if your instagram account got deleted

Instagram Account Disabled or Deactivated or Deleted? — ALYSSAYA

This blog will help recover your deactivated instagram account.

How do you know your account was disabled?

1) You cannot login

2) You receive a pop-up notification at login

3) Friends/Followers cannot find your account in the search

4)

Friends/Followers cannot send you a DM

5) Your account has disappeared

6) You account says no posts yet

WHY you might be in this situation?

1) 3rd Party App. What do you have linked to your IG? Any unapproved app can cause red flags. i.e. one that checks who unfollowers you or one that helps you schedule posts.

Remember there are only a few APPROVED partner apps. The rest are technically against the terms and conditions of IG.

2) Nudity. This is what happened to me the first time. I am an ethical blogger and was documenting different indigenous tribes in Ethiopia. They are naked (not in a sexual way) and even when I tried to censor or blur nipples it wasn’t enough. And IG essentially thought I was a porn website.

3) Being Reported. This is also part of what happened to me the first time. People didn’t like my content and it was reported as spam or bullying or nudity on repeat from other “haters”.

4) Impersonation. You are pretending to be someone else.

5) Spam. If you are acting like a robot Instagram can catch on. IG actually has daily activity limits based on number of actions and speed. This is what is looks like and can change at any moment you can: like 1,000 photos per day | comment 180 to 200 per day | follow/unfollow 200 users per day

6) MISTAKE! During an algorithm change there are many glitches and bugs.

The second time my account got disabled it was literally “just a mistake.”

WHAT to do if you find yourself with your account disabled or deactivated or deleted?

1) Don’t panic. Many times it is a mistake or a glitch. This occurs especially when they are changing the algorithm.

2) Slow down and read the pop up message and follow what they say.

3) Submit the info they ask and wait 24 hours.

4) Check your spam folder, you will be notified via the email connected to your IG account.

5) If you don’t hear back in the first 24 hours use this link to submit a review to appeal their decision shut down your account.

https://help.instagram.com/contact/606967319425038/

WHAT to write in the box asking WHY you’re appealing the decision to permanently deactivate this account?

Be short and sweet, honest, firm and clear.

This is what I wrote the most recent time when I knew it was a mistake.

“I am not sure what happened. Maybe I was hacked? I am an ethical blogger posting about sustainable hotels. Please let me know how I can recover my account.”

If you are resubmitting because you didn’t hear back. Use a sentence like this: “I will get my lawyer involved if this isn’t resolved immediately” I pulled that out and I got an email with a few hours.

You should get an email to first verify you are the account owner. This is what my email chain looked like the first time when I was disabled for “nudity”:

The first time this happened, I had to wait about 14 days for them to verify my identity, review my case and decide if I went against their terms and conditions or not.

And this is the most recent email I received when I was just disabled by mistake.

This time, the entire process lasted about 48 hours from when the moment I realized it was deactivated to the moment I got it back!

This little shortcut should get you to chat with a business representative immediately. This is just the concierge. So, be very specific and concise and they will take the information they need to pass this on to a business representative. You will receive a response in your inbox 24-48 hours after. Be sure to check that spam folder!

  • Click Get Started

  • Click Business Pages

  • Find a place to “Chat with a Representative” and ask for them to submit a ticket for you.

  • Wait.

  • Check your spam folder.

Thanks for reading. And as always . . . Be thoughtful. Stay kind.

How To Know if Instagram Account Is Deleted

It’s been a few days, and you haven’t seen any posts from your friend on Instagram, so you go through the list of the people you’re following, and — OH — they aren’t on there.

Now, you’re wondering, did they block you? Remove you from their follower list? Or did they decide to delete their Instagram account for peace of mind?

There are many ways to know if an Instagram account has been deleted.

You would know if you were removed from their follower list. But it’s hard to tell whether you were blocked or they deactivated/deleted their account if you don’t do some kind of investigation because what happens after taking those actions is the same: their profile will be unavailable to you.

Here’s how to know if an Instagram account is deleted.

Table of Contents

  1. How To Know If an Instagram Account Is Deleted
    • Method #1: Search for Their Instagram Username
    • Method #2: Open Their Instagram Profile Using an Incognito Window
    • Method #3: Go to Your Mutual Friend’s Instagram Profile
    • Method #4: Check Out Their Other Social Media Profiles
    • Method #5: Ask Them
  2. Conclusion

How To Know If an Instagram Account Is Deleted

When a user deletes their account, Instagram won’t notify anyone, even their closest friends.

But you will see your number of followers decrease by one, and if you dig deep into it, you will know who in particular is missing. You will overthink the situation, so you will want to know why.

Let’s find out if they blocked you, removed you, or deleted their account.

Method #1: Search for Their Instagram Username

If you search for their Instagram username or name using a different account that isn’t in any way associated with them and their profile appears, it means they blocked you.

But if it doesn’t appear, their profile doesn’t exist, so they probably deactivated it or deleted it for good.

Method #2: Open Their Instagram Profile Using an Incognito Window

You don’t necessarily have to use an incognito window. What’s important here is there should be no Instagram account logged in on the web browser.

What you will do is simply type www.instagram.com/{their username} in the address bar, and if their profile isn’t active anymore, you will see this on the page: “Sorry, this page isn’t available”.

If their profile shows up, then they blocked you.

Method #3: Go to Your Mutual Friend’s Instagram Profile

This method will let you know if they just removed you from their followers and didn’t really delete their account.

Go to your mutual friend’s profile and head over to their follower and following lists. If you search for them and their profile shows up, their account is still active, and they just don’t want you to follow them.

That’s disappointing but not worse than being blocked. If you’re close to the person and you’re sure that you didn’t do anything that upset them, you can ask them why because maybe it wasn’t their intention to remove you; perhaps they did it by mistake.

Method #4: Check Out Their Other Social Media Profiles

Many people put the links to their Instagram accounts on the other social media profiles that they own. If you don’t see it on their profile, they may have deleted it, especially if it was there the last time you checked.

Or maybe they informed their social media friends about their account deletion, and you will see it on their profile feed if they did that.

Method #5: Ask Them

If, after doing the four methods, you still aren’t sure whether they deleted their Instagram account or blocked you, you can ask them why their profile disappeared.

This is the most effective way to know if an Instagram account is deleted because they will tell you straight up if it was deleted — or if you were blocked.

Conclusion

There are many reasons why someone would want to delete their Instagram account, but the most common is connected to their mental health.

It’s not news that social media, in general, has the power to make us feel insecure because people love flaunting their assets, beauty, wealth, and other good things online. And the more good things we see in other people (real or not), the more bad things we see in ourselves.

Deleting an Instagram account is permanent. Your videos, photos, reels, stories, archives, and everything will be gone for good. If you want to just pause on Instagram so you can focus on something else or to more effectively manage your mental health, you can deactivate your account so you can come back anytime.

To deactivate an Instagram account, on a web browser, go to your profile settings and click “Temporarily deactivate my account” next to the “Submit” button.

Six ways to understand that you have been blocked on Instagram

If you cannot find a person's profile on Instagram, this does not mean that the account has been deleted. Perhaps he just blocked your page, and there are several ways to find out if you got banned. The Medialeaks editors figured out which of them work and which are absolutely useless.

You won't be able to find someone else's profile through the app's search

The easiest way to understand that you've been banned by an Instagram user is to try to find their profile through the app. nine0003 How to search

If the nickname is written in the search bar without errors or you are sure that the person you are looking for did not change it, but Instagram still refuses to show the account, then you are in the black list.

Search screenshot

Browser search returns no results

The second method is less obvious, but just as reliable as the first. In order for it to work, you need to log into your account not through the application, but through an Internet browser and search there. You just have to work a little - you need to write the nickname not in the search bar, but in the link: instagram.com/*username*. nine0003

If you are blocked, Instagram will write that the page is not available.

Page not available

Log out of your account and try again in the browser

No browser search results may mean that the user has deleted their profile. To be sure to check this information, log out of your account, and then repeat the manipulation of the link in the browser. The account will be displayed even if it is closed.

Check the comments under your posts

If there is no computer at hand, and it is inconvenient to enter the browser on the phone, then there is a fourth method that definitely works - check your comments. If earlier a user who cannot be found now left you messages under posts, then you can easily check if his profile still exists.

Comment under the post from the blocked user

The fact is that Instagram does not delete or hide the user's comments when he blacklists you. And if the account is not deleted, then you can go to it. nine0003 The account of the blocked user

Direct messages remain

There is a theory that if your profile is banned, then private messages with the blocked user will disappear. The editors of Medialeaks checked this assumption. However, it turned out to be a myth: the message remained in the direct of both users.

The message has not disappeared

However, if you write a second message, the addressee will never see it, and the sender will not know about it.

Supposedly delivered message

Follow button appears for a second

Guiding Tech also reports that when visiting a blocked account, a follow button will appear, which will not work. This theory also turned out to be inoperative, because the opportunity arises only for a second, until the profile itself is loaded, and it is simply impossible to use it in time.

The button appeared for a second

The easiest way, which does not require you to know the intricacies of how Instagram works, is to ask someone to check if the profile of the user who allegedly took you is active. If yes, then congratulations, you are blacklisted, but your assistant is not. nine0003

Earlier, Medialeaks learned how to connect to Elon Musk's Internet if you live in Russia. It turned out that getting a Starlink kit is not so difficult: you need to order it on the website and wait for your turn.

Should Russians buy Tesla? The Medialeaks editors figured out what the pros and cons of an electric car are, as well as what problems await the owner from Russia.

Find out if someone has deleted or deactivated their Instagram profile

Content:

In my Instagram profile bookmark list, I suddenly see a profile showing some error when opening. I thought it might be a username change issue, but I soon realized that a popular profile would not do things that prevent its user from checking it out. nine0003

I had two clues in mind.

Either the person blocked me or deactivated their profile. It was very easy for me to find out if this person really blocked me, and I did my best without wasting time.

I found it. YES. I would like to share with you the instructions that you can apply to find out if a person has deactivated an Instagram profile or blocked you on Instagram.

Basically, finding out if a person exists on Instagram by their profile username is not so correct, since the person may have changed their Instagram username, and in both cases you won't find their Instagram profile, but that doesn't mean that the person has blocked you or deactivated your profile. nine0003

You just need to add a filter method by participating in the following list to find out the exact answer to this question. If your next list is very large, I have provided an alternative solution that will make it easier for you to view the profile if it still exists on Instagram.

You can see the profile as Instagrammer (because it can be blocked or deactivated), you can track any profile using the Instagram tracking method. nine0003

Now in this guide, you will be able to find out if a person has blocked you on Instagram or deactivated their account when you see a broken link with an error "Sorry, this page is not available" on Instagram.

⦿ How do you know if someone blocked you on Instagram or restricted you?

If you want to know if you are blocked on Instagram, you need to check a few settings that change when someone blocks you on Instagram.

It's easy to identify someone if they blocked you, but they play a trick on you by restricting you on Instagram so you can't find their profile, or get a misleading concept. To avoid situations like this, I will provide a comprehensive guide that will discuss the topic using special filters so you can see if the person has actually blocked you or changed their username. nine0003

First, you will notice that when someone blocks you, your comments and likes will be removed, but that person will be able to see your likes and comments on other people's posts, even if you are on their blocked list. Let's check the indicators that confirm if you are blocked.

? Find his profile:

You should check settings such as: view the profile of the person you suspect has blocked your profile through an incognito window in your browser. If you can find him without an account, make sure that person has blocked you on Instagram. nine0003

Not being able to recognize him doesn't mean that person is not available on Instagram, and if you know other people on their follower list whose profile is public, you can recognize them from that account by logging out of your profile. Once you identify the person on the list, you will win the game.
PS If you still can't find the person on the list, it might be a person blocked in bulk by users on Instagram, in which case you need to find out the person from the direct messages section of Instagram. nine0003

? Take a look at the following list: [IF HE BANS YOU]

He just blocked you, changed your login, and then unblocked you ... what will happen? You will no longer see this person if you do not know the new username, if he played a cruel joke.

If the person blocked you or changed their username, in both cases you won't be able to view the posts they upload to Instagram. Now, when you want to tag someone in an Instagram post, you'll notice that the person's name suggestions won't show up in the tag list. If you see the hashtags of a profile that was previously used, when you click on it, you will get an error message like "User not found ".

Here you can read a detailed guide on what "User not found" means on Instagram.

If you have a link to his post, that's the only way to find him. Now, if the link says the page is not available, make sure the person deleted it or deleted their profile. I see people doing this whenever they try to merge two Instagram accounts by reposting what they had on their previous profile. nine0003

? Check common materials:

Another one of the quickest checks you can make is by spying on their other social networks like Twitter or Facebook profile. If the person shared something there, copy the link, even if it's a personal account, and they can find their profile. Chances are if a person has moved to the new Instagram, they will add that account to other social media platforms and find out about it.

How do you know if someone deleted their Instagram or blocked you? nine0007

If you want to know if someone has deactivated their profile or blocked your Instagram, you need to check out a few methods that will really help to find out if you are blocked or the person has just deactivated their Instagram profile. Now in both cases, you won't be able to find the person from your Instagram account, but if you just logged out of your profile and then checked that person's profile URL, you would notice that person's profile if they blocked you instead of deactivating it profile. . nine0003

If you use this simple technique, you will know about it at a basic investigation level. But if a person plays some trick that seems to be deactivated from your view, but in fact the person has blocked you, and in order to look at the profile, you need to take some steps and apply several methods with some filters to find out if it is really whether the person has blocked you or is trying to act like they have deactivated their profile. Let's find out with some pointers that I used for myself, will also be useful for you to figure it out. nine0003

➊ Check this person's profile

First of all, you should check some basic level of investigation by checking the profile of the person who blocked you, or if you're just not sure if he deleted his Instagram account, go to your Instagram account, copy that person's profile URL and open their profile online or from your mobile device. If a person deleted or deactivated their profile, you will see the message "Sorry, this page is not available", on the other hand, if you are blocked, you will not see anything in this profile indicating "no messages yet". "User not found" error stamp on this profile tab. nine0003

➋ Check with the changed username filter

If a person has just changed their username on their Instagram profile, you won't be able to recognize them from the previous URL. Now if you're just checking his profile based on the URL and wondering if you're blocked, then look up the profile from your following list on your Instagram profile. If you can find him listed there, you got this error because he changed his account username. nine0003

In my case, I just discovered that this person was on my next list and I realized that I did not actually block or deactivate, but simply changed the username, and this situation helped me understand what is behind the scene of this profile on Instagram. Now, if you don't see him in the following list and you can't find his profile when you log out, that means the person has deactivated their Instagram account.

➌ View profile without account

You must check the profile from your desktop or mobile browser without an account to see if this profile exists or not. Now to find this Instagram profile, just make sure you are logged out and then copy the profile URL and open it in your browser.

Read this guide to copy your Instagram profile link from the app.

When you enter and click on a URL to open it and it shows a profile, it usually means that it hasn't deactivated or changed its username and the person blocked you on Instagram so you couldn't see them on Instagram. nine0003

On the contrary, if you see a person's profile saying "Sorry, this page is not available", then it is obvious that this person has deactivated their Instagram profile.

I just avoided people like that who never tried to find out again once I realized that this person just blocked me on his profile.

➍ Learn hashtags

Another indication that you can search for hashtags on Instagram. If you can find the profile by the hashtags they used and as soon as you see that the page doesn't open, that means the person who blocked you has just deleted their profile. nine0003

In both cases, you need to find out exactly what happened to your account, for this you just need to follow the hashtag link and open it in your friends profile or in your browser's incognito window. If you can see posts with hashtags available from your friend's Instagram profile, it means the person has clearly blocked you, but if you don't see the same hashtags when using a different account or your friend's account, it means the person deactivated his profile 100% sure. nine0003

If you see another profile with the same name, which could mean the person has opened a new Instagram account, be aware that Instagram doesn't let you merge across accounts.

➎ Check your saved media list

If you had several posts by someone else on your Instagram account and you search for them but see that they are not available in your list, this means that the person has either deleted the posts or just blocked you on Instagram, which results in deleting a person's posts. Now if you just bookmarked the post, you can try to check the post using this url without an account and if you see the post, it means the person has actually blocked you on Instagram, which causes your saved post to be deleted. nine0003

When I had over 20 posts on my saved Instagram list, and a few days later when I was checking myself, I saw that all posts from the same person were missing from this list, and I soon realized that this person had blocked me or deleted your Instagram and to find out about it, check out the methods I have already described, and posts that have been removed from the list will be available through links from another account.

➏ Ask friends to investigate

The final solution is to check this profile from your friends account if you know that the person has common followers and you should ask this person to send you the profile you suspect has blocked you. Now, if your friend can send you a link or know their profile, it's enough to understand that the person has blocked you.
