In our last blog, we covered what to search to find the best and most unique Instagram stories stickers. But did you know that you can also create custom fonts for your Instagram stories? I was left wondering how exactly other Instagram users posted such unique stories with fonts I had never seen before. So, I decided to do some research. And there is infact a way an easy way to type in custom fonts. Want to know how? Keep reading.
In my opinion, this app is probably your best option if you are really trying to make your Instagram stories unique and personalized. Phonto is a free app. From my research, Phonto definitely has the widest array of fonts to choose from, with over 400 different options. You even have to option to install your own custom fonts. Within the app, you can customize text size, color, gradient, line spacing, etc.
To use this app:
Like I mentioned, you also have the option to upload your own font if the ones offered on the app don’t work for you! There are many different places on the Internet where you can download free, unique fonts. For this example, I used fontspace.com.
To upload your own font:
Now your font will be uploaded to Phonto. It won’t be listed with Phonto’s fonts, but in it’s own section called “My Fonts.
” Once you upload a font, it will be saved on the app until you remove it. So this is a one time process if you really like a certain font and want to routinely use it in your Instagram stories.
Fonts is available for download on any smart device. This app essentially gives you a whole new keyboard to type from when posting Instagram stories. The actual keyboard shows the different styles of fonts. Whereas on Instagram, you change the fonts after you type. This app does have a one time $9.99 fee to access the exclusive fonts, so it may not be your best option if you are just exploring and don’t want to spend money.
Typorama is another free option (like Phonto). The main difference between Fonts and Typorama is that Fonts lets you edit right on the Instagram app, whereas Typorama is a completely separate app. On this one, you will have to edit your story, save it, and then upload to Instagram.
To Use This App:
1.
Choose your photo and how you want to use it. (For this purpose we will use Instagram Story.)
2.Then choose from the styles and colors that you want to type in.
3. Edit your photo and share to story
Sometimes, the fonts offered within the Instagram stories feature get a little boring and overused. These apps can most definetly separate your Instagram stories from the rest. Leave people wondering how you used fonts that are not available on the Instagram stories features.

To evoke certain feelings
All marketing is aimed at evoking certain emotions in the viewer that encourage a person to buy.
Many factors influence a person: design, arrangement of elements, color and, of course, beautiful fonts. Fonts can be different: gothic, fabulous, handwritten — and each type evokes different thoughts and associations. The main thing is to learn how to use such manipulation correctly.
Attract attention
Something unusual that we see for the first time, we always unconsciously notice and this somehow remains in our memory. That's why your ad can be more effective: just add new and stylish Instagram fonts to it. They don't have to be overly fancy and provocative, just choose something that's different from the standard fonts. In addition, you can experiment with the color palette, font size and position.
Stand out from competitors
Business is endless competition, the desire to be better, more popular. Everyone is chasing recognition on social networks and increasing sales, and for this you need to significantly stand out from the rest. Instagram is a platform where everything is somehow focused on the visual, and therefore typography is also important: the font on Instagram will help you add originality, zest and stand one step ahead of your competitors' accounts.
Upgrade visual
The inscription, if you choose the right color, type and size of the font for it, place it in the right part of the screen, can add beauty to your story. There are no universal text formatting rules that we could advise you. You can use any combination of colors and fonts, make letters of different sizes, arrange them randomly and use animation. Take your time and find your own style.
If you're still not sure if you should use third-party fonts in your stories, you can experiment with the ones that are already built into Instagram.
Log into the application, click on the profile icon at the bottom of the screen. After that, you need to click on the “+” at the very top and select the history creation mode. Upload photos/videos from the gallery or create them right now.
To see the panel with different fonts, click on the “Aa” icon at the top. Now enter the text and look at the proposed options.
There are quite a few options that can be used. It is possible to add animation (and it is different for each font).
You can make a stroke to the font (each one has a different style), change its color to any of the palette.
To see all the options, you need to swipe left and right: then Instagram will change the font and you can choose the one that suits you best.

There is no doubt that Instagram has grown in numbers since its launch in October 2010. According to company management, 2020 was a breakthrough year in this regard, as it marked the moment when the global Instagram community reached a staggering one billion users.
If we consider this number in the future, the number of active users of the platform will only grow.
No matter how you look at it, it's an incredible amount of people using this social media platform.
Therefore, the daily amount of content is constantly growing. And if you make a beautiful font on Instagram, you will stand out from other subscriptions in the feed.
With thousands of new posts appearing on Instagram every day, achieving high reach becomes more difficult. Therefore, we suggest using additional fonts for Instagram.
This is a topic that we have already discussed in one of the previous blog posts, and it is just as important as promoting a personal brand on Instagram.
Visual plays an important role in the promotion of the profile, both personal and commercial.
The attention of followers on Instagram is attracted by photo and video content. Therefore, content processing will always be part of building a visual style.
But now there is nowhere without text, meanings are important and necessary. By not forgetting the text, you will get more reach, comments, and direct benefits.
Text is sometimes the best way to explain the context, which is critical to gaining attention. And because the competition is so fierce, the default text styling may not be enough to get the results you want.
So when it comes time to add a personal touch to what you write, custom fonts are needed. But, unlike other areas, Instagram doesn't really provide as many options here.
But despite these limitations, there are a few steps you can take to revive the situation. You need the right tools to do it.
How the font for Stories on Instagram changes.
We will look at this topic from two points of view. One of them will explain how to add a different font to Instagram Stories.
After launching in 2016, the feature has become one of the most popular ways for people to express themselves on Instagram. Therefore, he will receive a separate mention here.
But before we get to that, let's take a look at the other text you use regularly - your captions, comments, and profile description.
While they may not be the most striking aspect of your Instagram feed, they play a huge role in helping you get the recognition and attention you want. And with the right text styling, you can give those areas the boost they need.
While browsing Instagram, you are likely to come across a headline or comment written in a stylish font. If you were wondering if there is a button that will allow you to do this, the official application did not add it.
Instagram will only give you one design option to use in these situations. It is possible that this will change with future updates, but this is how it works for now.

Because of this, you will have to turn to third-party resources. However, it is not difficult and the whole procedure involves only two steps.
Fonts that can be applied to the Instagram profile bio.
Your device may not support all fonts, but if you start seeing unwanted characters, choose another one.
Unlike the previous section, Stories has a few additional text options that you can use in Stories right away.
Instagram Stories are getting ahead of the feed, and users want to make them more engaging.
To add these embed fonts to Instagram, go to Stories and select or take a photo. When you get to typing, look at the top of the screen - you'll see the word "classic" in a tab.
This is the one you are currently using. To change it, click on this button. In addition to the standard design, there are four more options:
But, anyone can easily add these fonts - if you want the original customization, you'll again need external resources.

For photos, you can use tools such as Typorama, Font Candy or Canva. They tend to be easy to use and follow the same principles.
For example, for Typorama, select the image you want to process and select “Instagram Story” as the frame size.
Then play with the many options available and edit them to your liking. When you're done, click "Ok, share!" and share it in the app feed.
When it comes to video, a good (but not the only) tool is the ad type.
Examples of beautiful fonts for posting on Instagram.
Custom fonts can be an asset in creating a recognizable visual style on Instagram. Whether it's a caption or a story, this will make your account's posts stand out in the general feed. But, you have to be careful how you use them.
Instead of going for the most outrageous flashy option, it's important to have a well-formed Instagram look that matches the image and the message.
