4. Why can’t I download my Facebook live video?
If you have tried these methods but still can't download a Facebook live video, here are some potential reasons and solutions for it:
a. You're using an outdated version of a tool or chrome extension.
In such a case, see if there's an update or try deleting it from your computer/phone and relaunching it.
You can also restart your device before installing the software or app again.
b. The video you want to download is private.
Facebook doesn't allow you to download private videos. However, you can ask the administrator to make it public or share the downloaded file with you.

Great question, honestly!
There are a number of reasons you might want to download your Facebook Lives, including:
- So you can upload it to YouTube or Vimeo
- So you can upload it to your own website or blog (as opposed to simply embedding it)
- So you can repurpose it
- So you an use it in a membership platform (way to monetize…hint, hint!)
- So you can store it on your computer…just in case!
In the past, Facebook didn’t make it super easy to figure out how to download your Lives.
Fortunately, it’s now really easy – and I’ll walk you through this simple process in just two steps!
Note: This only works for your OWN Facebook Live Videos. If you want to download a Live that’s been shared by someone else on your feed or in a group, skip to the next section of this post where I share the tool that will do that for you!
1. Step One – Find the video in your profile, feed or on your pageProbably the simplest way is to navigate to your business page, and click on Videos OR Live under the MORE button in the top NAV bar of your page.
After you click, all videos in either category will show up in the order they were recorded. Simply find the one you want to download from the list and click on it. It will open up and start playing.
Step 2: Click on the three little dots in the upper right-hand cornerYou’ll see the option to Copy Link.
Click on this option and paste the link into your search bar to open the video up in Facebook Watch.
You’ll see a blue download button appear at the top of the video. Sometimes this takes a few seconds of the video playing before it appears.
Unfortunately, following the steps above won’t work for someone else’s video. Clicking on the three dots will give you the option to Save Video (in your Saved file on Facebook only) or Embed Video (on your website or blog).
You may have heard of another strategy involving switching to the mobile version of Facebook – in fact, if you google “How to download a Facebook Live”, you’ll still see a few sites still giving these instructions!
Unfortunately, this strategy no longer works with most browsers. That’s the bad news!
The good news is that you can easily download someone else’s Facebook Live using a free tool.
Here’s how!
As above, find the video you’d like to download and click on the time stamp to open it up and start playing it.
Now copy the URL from your browser’s address bar, then go to SaveFrom.net and paste the URL.
You’ll now have the option to download the MP4 in standard definition or high definition.

How to turn your Live Photo into a Facebook Profile Video

Changing your Facebook profile picture to a video is a great way to stand out from the crowd.
A regular video file isn't the only option - if you're an iPhone user, you can also upload a Live Photo as your new profile picture to add more pizza to your Facebook page. nine0003
Unfortunately, you can't just take a photo of a Live Photo and immediately post it as your new FB photo - you first need to convert your Live Photo to a Facebook compatible file. So below, I'll show you three different ways to turn your Live Photo into a video, and then once you've figured it out, I'll show you how to upload the converted video to use as your animated Facebook profile picture.
Before moving on to various ways to convert Live Photo to Facebook profile video, you can edit Live Photo as needed. There are many features you can use to accentuate your live photos, from adding filters, tweaks, cropping and rotating. If that's not enough, you can go ahead and select new thumbnails, trim the clip, or make them loop or bounce. nine0003
Because the Facebook profile video is already looping, looping or Live Photo bounce may not be necessary.
And you can trim clips, crop them, and select Facebook thumbnail images before setting them as your video profile so you don't have to worry too much about it beforehand.
Method 1: Convert your live photos from Instagram
A really easy way, although not without loss of image quality, is to convert a live photo into a boomerang in Instagram Stories. So, if you don't have Instagram yet, be sure to download the app to try this method. nine0003

After signing up for Instagram, tap your profile icon at the top of the homepage to open Stories, then swipe up to see your newsfeed. If you've taken a Live Photo within the last 24 hours, you should see it there. Click on the Live Photo you want to use for editing in the Story.

From here, it's easy to turn your live photo into a boomerang, and basically it takes a long press on the photo to convert it into a boomerang and upload to the Photos app.

Method 2: Convert your Live Photos from Motion Stills
If you'd rather save your Live Photo in full quality before uploading it as your Facebook profile, I have two more options for you. First up is an app from Google called Motion Stills that you can download for free from the App Store. nine0003

All your live photos will be displayed in the main Motion Stills feed, so click on the live photo you want to convert for Facebook. Your Live Photo will now appear in constant motion and the Motion icon (two semi-circles) will be set to reduce video shaking. Click on this icon to remove the effect, which will give you the original Live Photo, shaking and all. In addition, you can set the video as normal (the icon of two triangles with the left side in white) or mirror it (both triangles in white).

Once you've set the Live Photo effects to your liking, click on the arrow at the bottom right of the image, then click "Share Video" to convert it to a video. When it's shared, select "Save Video" to save it to the Photos app. Once you've done that, proceed to the Upload Your Live Photo section below.

Method 3: Convert your live photos from Lively
If none of the first two options worked for you, then the best choice is an application called Lively. You can download the Lively app by visiting the App Store or by simply clicking on the link below.

Once installed, you will see all your Live Photos in the home page feed in the app. Click on the image you want to convert and your Live Photo will now be displayed as a GIF. Click on "Movie" at the top, and if you want to crop your Live Photo and haven't already done so, Lively will let you do so before saving it as a video.

When you're ready, click "Export Movie" at the bottom. From here, tap Save to add it to the Photos app and then move on to the next section of this article.
Upload Your Live Photo as Your Facebook Profile Video
Now that you've converted your Live Photo, open the Facebook app, then click on the hamburger icon and click "View Your Profile" at the top. Once there, click "Edit" in the bottom right corner of your profile icon, or you can just click on the profile photo itself, then you'll see a menu of options. Here you will be able to select the video you want to upload from your Camera Roll in Photos. Click on the new video you just converted and you'll be presented with some decent options for it. You can trim the clip, trim it, remove audio, and/or change the thumbnail of the image. You can also click "Make Temporary" to make your profile video only last 1 hour, 1 day, 1 week, or a custom amount of time.

Facebook videos are a confusing beast. There are live videos, videos you've uploaded, videos you've been tagged in, public videos, saved videos, old profile videos, and more.
Facebook, being Facebook, doesn't have a centralized hub that allows you to view all these frames in a simple and logical way. Depending on the type of video you want to find, there are a number of different steps you need to go through. nine0003

How to find live video on Facebook
In early 2019, Facebook unexpectedly killed its Facebook Live map feature.
We are not sure why. Sure, it wasn't going to win any design awards, but the map allowed you to quickly find streamers from specific regions; it was the perfect way to see raw footage of news and public events.

Facebook Live videos are now minimized under Facebook Watch. In our opinion, Facebook Watch tries to be too many things at the same time, and this is detrimental to Facebook Live video.
However, you can still find live video on Facebook. Several routes are available to you:

How to find your Facebook videos
If you have had your Facebook profile for several years, there is a good chance that you have collected hundreds video on the platform. Indeed, Facebook may have a single copy of your most cherished memories.
To find the videos you have uploaded to Facebook, open your profile and go to " Photo»> «Video» .
If you weren't organized and categorized your videos into albums at the time, be prepared to have a sore scrolling finger.
Perhaps an easier option is to download all of your Facebook videos in one sitting. To do this, go to Settings > Your Facebook Information > Upload Your Information > View and make sure the box next to Photos and Videos is checked. When you're ready, press Create file .
How to find saved videos on Facebook
If you ever watch a video - from a person, page, or group - that you think you'll want to rewatch later, you can save it.

How to find old profile videos on Facebook
From mid-2016, Facebook users can add a seven-second video to their profile. It appears at the top of your page, just like your profile picture.
You can view your old profile videos by opening the photo library , clicking the Video album and scrolling through the entries. Unfortunately, there is no more accessible way that does not involve infinite scrolling; approach « Photo" and "Video" is the official method recommended by Facebook.
You can only add profile videos from Android and iOS, and this feature is not available in all countries.
How to find public videos on Facebook
There are several alternative ways to find public videos on Facebook.
Let's start with the most obvious approach. If you know the person, page, or group that uploaded the original video, just go straight to their profile. nine0003
If the video is recent, you can find it by scrolling through the posts on the wall. However, if the content is a bit older and has been buried by new material on the wall, click the Photos tab below the cover image and select the Videos album.

There's no easy button you can click to see all the videos you've ever been tagged in.
The easiest way to find videos is to use activity log .
Go to your profile and click the Activity Log icon in the lower right corner of your photo.
