How to do breaks in instagram post
How to Put Blank Spaces in Instagram Post Captions
- You can put blank spaces in an Instagram post caption to break up lines of text using recent versions of the app.
- If you don't yet have the option, you can write the original text in an external app, like the iPhone Notes app or Google Docs (Android), and copy it over.
- Visit Business Insider's Tech Reference library for more stories.
Whether you have an Android or an iPhone, a recent Instagram update made it possible to quickly and easily add line breaks within your captions — without having to copy over your text from another app.
Being able to add those kinds of breaks is important. Not only does it allow you to space things out the way you want them to appear within Instagram's feed, it also helps make your posts easier to read and understand.
Plus, it can allow you to hide long lists of hashtags that many people use to help boost their visibility. While those can be helpful, they can also be something of an eyesore, and line breaks solve that problem.
For those who aren't familiar, here's what you need to know about using the new option, what to do if it isn't yet available to you, and more tips for formatting your Instagram posts:.

How to put spaces in an Instagram post caption
If you have the new option to add line breaks within the app, the process is simple: You just need to hit the "enter" or "return" key and format it as you'd like it to appear, creating the rest of the post as normal.
Up-to-date versions of Instagram will let you add line breaks freely. Devon Delfino/Business InsiderHowever, if you aren't yet able to use the line-break option, it may be worth updating your app. If that doesn't work, though, there is still a way to add those line breaks to your posts. Here's how:
1. Open your notes app of choice, and create a new note.
2. Add your text, then select it and hit "Copy."
You can type your caption out in another app first. Devon Delfino/Business Insider3. Open Instagram and log into your account, if needed.
4. Create and edit your new post, but don't publish it yet.
5. For the caption section, long-press on the blank space and select "Paste."
6. Remove any periods from the last sentence that precedes each line break.
Your text should then copy over, including your formatting. Post it.
Once posted, double-check that the formatting's been done correctly. If it hasn't, delete the post and try again.
Formatting tips and tricks
Formatting can drastically change how your followers perceive and interact with your posts, so knowing different techniques is essential as a creator. Again, if you don't have the new invisible line-break option, or you just want to try something different, here are some tricks you should add to your Instagram game:
Create line breaks using symbolsYou could use a specific symbol of your choosing on the lines where you don't wish text to appear. By doing so, you give the old version of the app something that acts as a placeholder and thereby gives you the overall effect of having line breaks. But the symbols you use, of course, will still be visible. So while it's a better option that relying on huge chunks of text, it's not perfect.
You can use emojis to separate your lines. Devon Delfino/Business Insider Hide hashtags with periodsAs mentioned earlier, hashtag groups are commonly found at the end of captions, which can help the reader focus on what's important: Your message. However, if you don't have a long caption ahead of it, those groups can still be distracting. To get around this, you may choose to use a period placed on each line break to visually differentiate between the caption and the hashtag group.
You can create vertical ellipses to break up your text. Devon Delfino/Business Insider Try a dedicated space maker toolIf you've tried your usual note-taking apps but still aren't getting the line-break effect you desire, a dedicated tool, like TextSpacer.com, can be a solid option. With that site, you'd create and format your post as desired within the site, then click "Copy" and paste it into your Instagram caption.
Some third-party apps will add the breaks for you, too. Devon Delfino/Business InsiderHow to use the Close Friends feature on Instagram and share your Stories with a select group of followers

How To Add Line Breaks In Instagram Captions
UPDATE: You can now add spaces if you write out your captions however you want to in the Notes app on your mobile.
Instagram can be a great app… until it comes to writing captions. For whatever reason, it doesn’t allow you to add line breaks directly within the mobile app itself, so we need to find alternative ways to do so. #firstworldproblems. In this post I am going to share with you the best way to write your captions – line breaks included.
The best way to add line breaks in your Instagram captions is to use Facebook’s Creator Studio. The online application allows you to create, upload & schedule content for both Facebook and Instagram – straight from your desktop! It covers everything from posts, videos, carousels, IGTV and even stories.
The reason why I recommend Facebook’s Creator Studio is that it allows you to write your post captions however which way you want, and it will appear on the mobile app exactly as intended – line breaks and all. Given its scheduling capabilities, combined with the ability to line breaks in your captions with no fuss, Creator Studio becomes a no brainer.
Here’s a screenshot of Facebook Creator Studio, where you can write your captions into the text box with no fuss.To start using Creator Studio, all you need to do is link your Facebook account/page to the platform. To create content for your Instagram account, you’ll need to ensure that the account is linked to the Facebook page you’ve used for Creator Studio. You can do this within the Instagram app by going to Settings > Account > Linked Accounts > Facebook.
Alternative ways to add line breaks in Instagram captions
Although I highly recommend sticking with Creator Studio, there are alternative options for adding line breaks to your captions. One of the easier apps to use is the Notes app on your mobile. I use an iPhone but you’re welcome to use the android equivalent. We will be writing our caption within Notes as the Instagram app doesn’t allow for returns (to the next line).
#1 – Creating line breaks by using symbols
There are two options when creating line breaks in the Notes app. The first one being that you can use symbols such as full-stops to break up the text. I have also seen some Instagrammers inserting Emojis in between sentences instead, which can work well too.
Want to increase your post reach & engagement? Find out how to use the best Hashtags for your niche, and start growing your Instagram account by up to 500-1,000 new followers every single day!
Photographer, Jasmine Star admiring her use of Emojis as line breaks. You’ll want to follow the order below to add line breaks using symbols or emojis:
- Open the Notes app on your phone
- Write out your caption as you would normally
- Hit Return twice at the end of each paragraph to create a space for the line break
- Insert a full-stop (. ) or emoji (😎) in the space between the two sentences
- Voila!
But wait, that’s not all. Before you skip ahead, I must mention that the above will not work if you leave any spaces at the end of a paragraph. So if there’s a space at the end of the sentence, before the line break, then it won’t work and it will just mess up your caption.
Be aware of this especially when you add emojis to the end of a paragraph, as it tends to automatically add a space immediately after the emoji.
#2 – Inserting invisible spaces
Much like inserting symbols as line breaks, you can also add spaces. You see, instead of adding a full-stop, dash or emoji, you insert the following:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Do you see it? There’s actually some spacing there, let me show you again. Here it is again, but with brackets around it…
[⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀]
To use this in your captions, you’ll want to copy the spacing that’s in between the two brackets. You can then paste it in between the lines of your Instagram caption or bio. You can paste the spacing in as many times you want throughout the caption, but only once per line break. Now this works great, but there is an easier option.
There is plenty of money to be made on Instagram for your business, that’s why it’s important to know how you can start gaining targeted followers (and potential clients) every single day. Check out this post on how you can do just that!
#3 – Using tools to add line breaks to your Instagram captions
I recently stumbled upon a really useful tool created by @albert on Instagram. It allows you to write in your caption as you would normally, and it will format it all for you. It’s as simple as clicking the Convert button & pasting into to your Instagram post. Although it’s not as efficient as using Creator Studio, it’s certainly easier than using the Notes app.
Great little tool from @albert on Instagram. Conclusion
There are some statistics that show that long-form content does perform better on Instagram, that’s why it can be frustrating when the social media app doesn’t allow you to add line breaks between paragraphs. That being said, it’s recommended that you use Facebook’s Creator Studio which allows you to do just that – for free!

9. Hashtags in rils Instagram
Specify thematic hashtags in the rails to promote the video.
Instagram shows your rils in the search, provided that you have entered a hashtag. For rails, it is appropriate to use 3-5 hashtags.
Hashtags can be used to categorize reels or make it easy to navigate on your page. Now few businesses on Instagram shoot rils. And even more so, they indicate hashtags under their rails. But in vain, because this is how a client can find you.

Hashtags in the rails - life hack 👇
Write hashtags that your potential target audience can search for. I used the hashtag #lollipopsbelgorod and noticed that only I use this hashtag, although we have a lot of confectioners in the city. It turns out that my Instagram content shows the very first. Since this is a rails, it is displayed on the top right. And after the search comes publications. Which, by the way, 100+. The client, having clicked on the request, is more likely to open the rails first. After all, this is a dynamic video. The product can be seen from different angles. The publication loses in this regard.
You can also carve out a niche using hashtags and get clients through the rails.
10. Reels statistics on Instagram
Reels statistics can be viewed, both general and for a specific video. Key statistics metrics:

12. Reels views - how to make a video popular
Systematic publication of rils is a free tool for business promotion on Instagram. Daily useful rils about your product or service will increase the level of trust of the audience.
Because rils is a recent feature for Russia. Instagram itself is interested in its users getting acquainted with the new format. Therefore the first videos of rails are gaining large coverage.
It doesn't matter how many subscribers you have. Know that thousands of people can see your first rails.
To make your rils popular on Instagram, follow these rules:
- Try to keep the momentum throughout the video.
This can be done with editing or effects.

Three easy steps to shoot smooth video without using a stabilizer:
- You need a phone with a wide-angle camera. Turn it on.

- The quality of your videos must be high.
A few simple rules to help you get the best video quality from your smartphone:
- Clean your smartphone's camera lens before every shoot. Otherwise, the picture will be cloudy or with stripes from the light.
- Upload your videos to Instagram in FULLHD 30 FPS. Instagram does not support 4K video.
- Shoot in 4K, edit and save in FULLHD 30 FPS. Thus, the picture will be clearer than if you first shot in FULLHD.
- If you are a happy Android owner, use the Instander app to publish stories.
Recommendations for improving the quality of rils on Instagram @pavel_motovilov
- Share your reels in stories.
Your subscribers are the most loyal audience.
How to repost ril in stories
- Share your reels in Instagram Direct.
In addition to duplicating a post in a story or feed, you can send rils through your dialogues in Direct. You can do it manually if you have 10-20 dialogues. But if you have 100+ dialogs, it is more convenient and faster to use automatic distribution using the Boss.Direct service.
Boss.Direct is a service for securely sending messages to your Instagram Direct dialogs. Suitable for both professionals and beginners.
Dialogue rills will give initial traffic to your video. Because you're sending it to someone who knows you, that's a "warm" audience. Such a user does not feel sorry for likes or comments. Instagram algorithms will notice that immediately after publication, the rils is of interest to many users. And he will start promoting your video even more actively.
