How to Mass Delete Instagram Posts in 2022? – 50 Pound Social

Nowadays, for many businesses, online platforms, especially Instagram, are essential to do their branding even though they may need to mass delete Instagram posts at one point. So whether you are a manager of a big organisation or an individual entrepreneur, you need to identify the content carefully and make it attractive.

However, sometimes, you might want to delete all posts at once when the business changes its direction or for any other reason. Today we’re uncovering specific ways to realise the mass deletion of Instagram posts.

Ways to Delete Posts at once by Only Using Instagram

Hashtag Method

It can be a bit overwhelming, but it is worth the struggle. Using this method, you can delete all your IG posts at once. Want to know more? Stay with me.

First, open the editing window by clicking three dots on the top right corner of one of your posts.

Second, add a unique random hashtag to your post caption and save. To prevent confusion, try to choose a hashtag that no one else would ever use. Do it with all the posts you want to delete.

Third, go to the Search section of IG and look for the hashtag you just added. It’ll filter and show you only the posts you’re willing to delete.

This method may seem useless, for you can quickly delete the posts instead of adding a hashtag and deleting them later. Yet, it may come in handy in some specific situations.

Restarting Your Profile

When it’s about technology and computers, restarting is usually the first solution that comes to mind. Well, why don’t we apply it to the Instagram profile?

Mass deletion of Instagram posts is attainable through closing the current account and opening a new one. However, if it already seemed attractive, before you get too excited, you should be aware of the downside; you’ll lose your audience. And yes, all of them.

How to do it?

Simple: Change your IG username by clicking the “Edit Profile” button in your profile, then delete the account, and create a new profile with the same username. Keep in mind that you can’t delete your account from the Instagram app. Instead, you’ll need to log in through a web browser.

Can’t use your old username even if no one uses it?

Don’t worry; it’s a standard procedure. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to use your old username to create another account immediately. Instagram keeps it reserved for 12-14 days in case the owner may want to return.

So, if you’re going to open a new account with the same username, consider that you’ll need to wait around two weeks.

Archiving Rather Than Deleting

Sometimes we want to get rid of a post, but we’re not so sure. For these scenarios, Instagram provides an option to archive posts that lets you restore them whenever you want while hiding them from your audience.

Just select the photos you want to archive, press three dots on the top right corner, and choose “Archive.”

To return archived posts, you should go to your profile, tap the top right corner and choose “Archive”. Then from the dropdown list above, select “Posts Archive”. Next, choose the pictures that you want to make visible and select “Show on Profile”.

How to Delete Multiple Pictures on Instagram via Third-Party Apps

As you see, it’s either impossible or very overwhelming to delete all posts at once by using only Instagram. Unfortunately, the platform simply doesn’t offer a mass delete option.

However, you can use third-party apps to do this much more quickly. A few years ago, just typing “IG mass delete apps” into Google would be sufficient to access tens of those apps. But the times are different now, those old gold days are long gone, and almost all the blog posts welcoming you on Google will suggest outdated apps that are no longer useful by any means.

I’ve literally spent days checking and trying all of them to see if any of them still does the job. Well, fortunately, I was lucky enough to find a few, but you shouldn’t forget that they’re unreliable. None of them is available on Play Store or IOS App Store. If you decide to use any of them, pay attention to the permissions they are asking for.

Let’s dive into it:

AiGrow

NOTE: Even though I’ve seen many others recommending this one, it couldn’t fetch any of my IG posts regardless of how many times I’ve tried. You can try it for yourself, as well. Who knows? Maybe the app loves you more than me.

Follow these steps for proper use:

  • Register on the app and log in to your IG profile;
  • Click on the “Bulk Posts Delete” section on the dashboard;
  • Then, mass select your posts or choose a few;
  • Click on the “Delete Selected Posts”.

Cleaner For Instagram

The app isn’t available on neither Play Store nor App Store. The only way to get it installed is through a third-party website in an APK form. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to use it:

1) Login – Write down your IG username and password and log in to your account via the app. Again, for security purposes, change your password right after you’re done with this app.

2) Select posts – Move into the “Media” section at the bottom centre, and click on the posts you want to delete. The app also lets you choose them all with one click to ease the process.

3) Mass Delete Instagram Posts – Click on the blue circle with a thunder icon at the bottom left corner. A few options will open up, click “Delete” to get it done.

4) Finish – In the opened window, click the red “Start now” button to launch the mass deletion of Instagram posts. Once it’s done, your posts will be gone forever.

Keep in mind: Even though the app is still working correctly, it only lets you delete 50 posts. For more, you need to upgrade. But there’s only one problem; you actually can’t upgrade it. All the related pages are no longer available, which means the developers no longer support the app. So, it absolutely lets you delete multiple photos on Instagram, but it’s limited.

Disconnect From Third-Party Apps

You can manage your connections to third-party services from “Settings” in the Instagram app.

Click “Security” there, then enter “Apps and Websites”. You’ll be able to disconnect any third-party apps you’re no longer willing to use. And once you delete a third-party service, they’ll lose all access to future data and activity on your profile.

InstaG Purger

What is it, and how to use it?

One of the safe ways to handle the mass deletion of Instagram posts is to use InstaG Purger. It’s a script that will allow you to delete all posts at once without asking for any permissions to access your profile info.

If you’re not a tech-type person, this solution may not be for you. But if you want to try, check out the ultimate guide here.

Limitations of InstaG Purger

There might be some limitations to using InstaG Purger. First, you may not be able to use Instagram in the same tab while the script is running. For doing so, you will need a fast data connection. If you refresh or reload the page, the script will stop.

How to Delete All Instagram Posts at once on PC?

As Instagram now allows using the platform on Computer browsers, too, you can use the methods we discussed in this article, such as The Hashtag Method, third-party tools, or InstaG Purger to delete multiple Instagram posts using your PC as well.

How to Delete All of Your Instagram Photos

If you have several photos that you want to delete, Instagram does not provide any tools for carrying out the task. As time goes by, your Instagram account becomes full of photos and posts of the past, some of which you may no longer want to display.

Perhaps you feel it is time to purge your old photos, but you want to keep your account open. After all, creating a new account, gathering all of your friends and followers, and starting over can be quite a headache. The simplest way to remove everything is by deleting your account entirely, but in doing so, you run into the other issue of setting up a new account.

Fortunately, you can use some alternative methods to keep your account open but still remove Instagram photos. There are also third-party apps that do the trick. Thankfully, some app developers have stepped up to the plate, which gives you some good choices to delete all Instagram photos.

Option #1: Use a Hashtag to Bulk-Delete Instagram Images

This workaround is somewhat tedious, but it gets the job done.

Note: You can only do this workaround using Android or iOS applications. It won’t work from a web browser. If you feel it’s easier to use a computer, you can download an emulator like Bluestacks, install the Android version of Instagram, then perform this workaround there.

This process is perhaps the smoothest way for you to delete all of your Instagram posts. Here’s how to do it.

  1. Locate one of your Instagram posts, click the horizontal ellipsis (three horizontal dots) in the upper right-hand corner, then select Edit.
  2. Make up a hashtag that you know no one will use, as seen in the image below. Tap the Checkmark once you’ve added it to your post. Do this for each picture you’ve posted.
  3. Type your newly created hashtag into the Search Box at the top.

This process filters the results so that all your marked posts and pictures with the hashtag appear, and you can quickly delete them from one place.

Option#2: Use Third-Party Apps Designed to Mass-Delete Photos on Instagram

Using third-party applications is the best and most efficient way to delete all images from your Instagram account.

iOS/iPhone Bulk Image Deleters for Instagram

  • Manage your followers and links list
  • Mass unfollow select users in your account
  • Mass unlike
  • Mass accept ew followers
  • And much more!

Prices:

  • $0.00 for up to 50 actions
  • $4. 99 for 1 month
  • $17.99 for 6 months
  • $23.99 for 1 year

InstaClean is free to try with limitations and works on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch (Requires iOS 10.0 or later). There was an Android app, but it is no longer available. The free version gives you up to 50 actions before upgrading to a subscription.

There are a couple of other IG image deletion apps for iOS, but they have poor reviews and struggle with their functionality.

Instagram Bulk Image Deleters for Android

Unfortunately, there are no longer any bulk Instagram image deleters for Android OS. Be cautious and read into any Android apps that claim they bulk delete Instagram photos and posts. Copycats are out there that change the names and the look but carry the same code with minor adjustments or malware. The Instagram management apps available on Google Play only include bulk unlike and unfollow Instagram options.

Option 3: Use Third-Party Apps Not Specifically Designed for Instagram

How to Delete All Instagram Photos using Auto Clicker on Android

Auto-Clicker by True Developers Studio is a free Android app that lets you automate repeated taps and swipes in any app or screen on your Android. This free feature works nicely for deleting all your Instagram photos. Once you play around with the app, you will be very excited by its possibilities.

  1. Launch Instagram and the Auto Clicker app.
  2. Tap on Enable under Multi Targets Mode.
This method allows multiple tapping points with a delay between taps.
  3. On Instagram, go to your Posted Content. Tap the green + symbol to create a tap point, which becomes a circle with the number 1 inside it.
  4. Drag that circle to the first post on your home page, on the left side, and tap the cogwheel (Settings).
  5. Tap on the Play button and pause it when the next available option appears. You can then tap the green plus icon again and follow the same steps as above.
  6. Your screen should now look something like this:
  7. Once you set up Auto-Clicker, tap on the blue play button. It will perform the instructed actions for you. You can tap on the cogwheel (Settings icon) and edit each instruction if it’s slightly off.

In the time delay box, you can leave it at 100 milliseconds or, if your phone is perhaps a little sluggish, change it to 200 or 300 milliseconds. This extended delay gives the app time to run and load information so that the auto tapping doesn’t override it.

Run this saved command repeatedly for hundreds or thousands of iterations, automatically and without human oversight.

You can turn off the Auto Clicker app interface by disabling it on the app’s home screen. Open the program and choose Disable under Target Mode, just as you did when you initially enabled it.

Auto-Clicker is a powerful application that you can use on many programs; it isn’t just for speeding up your Instagram process!

In closing, bulk-deleting your Instagram photos and images does not exist, but you have the workarounds mentioned above. As for archiving options, there isn’t a built-in way to mass archive more than one photo (at the same time), and there isn’t an app that currently lets you do it either. Maybe in the future, Instagram will release a bulk-archive option or an option to bulk-delete photos. Until then, have patience!

Instagram Bulk-Delete Photos FAQs

Can’t I delete my Instagram account rather than delete all images?

You can delete your IG account if you want, but you lose everything stored in that account and cannot use the same email or username for a new profile. You definitely can if you’d like to delete your entire Instagram account rather than using other methods, but the cons outweigh the pros.

Can I get in trouble with Instagram for using third-party apps?

There is a slight possibility that you’ll get in trouble. We only say yes because Instagram states that it may lead to a violation of terms of service. Using something like Auto-Clicker isn’t exactly hacking or modding Instagram’s software, so you should be safe to perform these actions without consequences from Instagram.

What if my Instagram is tied to my Facebook account?

Ultimately, the IG bulk-delete methods above do not affect your Facebook account unless you’ve shared your content from Instagram to Facebook. For example, if you shared a cat-funny image from Instagram to Facebook, it may disappear from both. If you are concerned about losing content on Facebook, you can always repost it on that platform manually.

Are third-party apps safe?

Third-party safety and privacy depend on the applications. There are a lot of third-party apps out there that make promises, such as deleting your entire Instagram history. First, read the reviews and analyze the permissions. If asked for personal information or login information, it’s probably best to avoid that app.

Can I archive all my Instagram photos instead of mass-deleting them?

Yes, you can use the archive option on Instagram. The Archive feature resides in the “…” option in the upper section above the photo on the iPhone. For Android, the Archive option is underneath Copy Link. You can also un-archive images if you made a mistake or want them back. For reversal, Archive gets replaced with Show on Profile.

How to remove a photo from the carousel on Instagram from a series of photos and is it possible

Do you like to tell the whole world about your life through photos or videos, do you like to share experiences and emotions? Such a tool as a carousel allows you to publish several photos at the same time in one post. But what if you need to erase an extra photo from a series? In this article, we will tell you how to remove one or more photos from the carousel on Instagram on mobile devices and a personal computer. nine0003

What is an Instagram carousel and is it possible to edit photos in it? Sometimes one story or event is difficult to fit in one picture, and publishing each image in a separate post is inconvenient and makes it difficult for the viewer to perceive.

The solution to this problem is the carousel function, it allows you to fit several photos into one publication at once. No need to install additional software to create collages or collections, all this is provided in the social network interface. Thus, it is allowed to contain no more than ten pictures within one post. Viewing will be done by scrolling and pressing the corresponding arrow on the screen. nine0003

The service has introduced a number of restrictions that should be observed in order to avoid problems with posting information:

  1. The number of photos in a publication should not exceed ten.
  2. Not only photos but also videos can be displayed in the carousel. The total duration of the series should not exceed 50 minutes.

As you scroll, short lines will light up on the bottom panel, the number of which corresponds to the number of pictures in the record.

This way of displaying information can be useful and used in the following situations:

  1. To show an action or a certain event in a strict sequence.
  2. Panorama, in this case one image can be divided into several parts, which improves visual perception.
  3. Instagram has long been a platform for commercial or advertising activities. With the help of a carousel, you can demonstrate your product or service from different angles, show the available range of products. nine0016
  4. Placement of TOPs. Many bloggers create TOPs and ratings that are perfectly displayed in a series of photos.

All of this opens up a wide range of functionality for the user. After placing the carousel, you can edit it at any time. To do this, you need:

  1. Launch the mobile application on your smartphone. Log in to the system by entering your personal information.
  2. Go to the personal page of the service.
  3. Here you will see a list of all published publications from the moment of registration in the social network. nine0016
  4. Find a photo series posted earlier and click on it.
  5. Press the button in the form of three dots. A pop-up menu will open.
  6. Select entry editing item.
  7. After that, you can change the text signature in the post and mark certain users on it.

Unfortunately, you can edit only the text inscription under the photo, and the order of their display, color filters and graphic elements cannot be changed. The only way to do this is to delete the entry and re-place it with the necessary settings. nine0003

How to remove a photo from the carousel from your phone

Over time, a published entry may lose its relevance. It needs to be edited or removed from a particular photo series. Below we will analyze whether it is possible to remove an individual photo from the carousel and what this will require on different models of mobile devices and on a personal computer.

Android

0003

  1. Turn on the utility on your device and go to your page. Write down the security password and login.
  2. Go to your personal account, to do this, click on the icon in the form of a silhouette of a man.
  3. In the list of publications, find the carousel you want to edit and click on it.
  4. Click on the ellipsis button.
  5. In the new window, select the delete item.
  6. Then redistribute the series of images, deleting the unwanted one. nine0016

This is the only way to delete one photo from the carousel, standard tools do not allow you to carry out the procedure after sharing.

On the iPhone

As for Apple mobile devices with the iOS operating system, the principle of deleting an unwanted picture from the group will be completely similar to the algorithm described earlier:

  1. Launch the application and log into your account.
  2. On the personal page, find the desired publication. nine0016
  3. On the top panel, click on the ellipsis icon and select the delete option.
  4. Completely cancel the post from the feed, then re-upload the pictures from the internal memory of the smartphone, while removing all unnecessary.

Is it possible to delete photos from the carousel from a computer? You can remove individual photos from the carousel after the entry has been published in the news feed. nine0003

There is only one way out - complete removal from the public domain and its re-publication, but without unnecessary content.

Remove all photos from the carousel at once

As we found out, the standard tools and functions of the Instagram social network do not allow you to remove one photo from the series individually. You can only delete the general post completely, for this:

  1. Log in to your account using your username and password.
  2. Go to your personal page in the service. nine0016
  3. In the list of all published entries, find the one you don't need, click on it.
  4. Click on the ellipsis button.
  5. An additional menu will appear on the screen, you need to select the delete item in it.
  6. Confirm your action.

Done. After that, your post will be permanently canceled and unavailable for recovery. So think before you start erasing.

Unfortunately, once a post has been shared, you won't be able to remove a photo from an Instagram series. nine0003

The standard interface of the social network only allows you to edit the title of the post, and you will not be able to change the display order or delete an unwanted picture from the group. It is only possible to completely delete the entry and upload it again.

How to remove a photo from the Instagram carousel – instructions – AIN.UA

November 18, 2021, 17:46

7875

The Instagram app has a new feature that allows you to remove individual images from an already published series. In addition, the company has added a "Recently Deleted" section, from which stories and posts can be restored within 30 days. nine0003

How to remove photos from series

Previously, users could not edit photos in published series. Actions with the so-called "carousels" were limited to the ability to tag other users and add alternative text. So, even if Instagram distorted one of the images, it could only be corrected by completely deleting the post and a new publication. In the fall of 2021, the company added a feature that allows you to remove certain photos from a series without resorting to extreme measures. nine0003

  • To remove a photo from a series, go to your personal Instagram profile.
  • Select a previously published carousel post.
  • In the upper right corner, click on the ellipsis and select "Edit".
  • Scroll through the carousel. On the photo you want to delete, click on the bin icon in the left corner of the post.
  • Click Remove and then Finish.
Images in the material: AIN.UA

It is noteworthy that all deleted photos (and even stories) are now in the Recently Deleted folder. Users can restore content within 30 days. For this:

  • go to profile settings;
  • click "Account" and then "Recently Deleted";
  • select the image or story you want to restore;
  • click on the ellipsis and confirm the restoration. In this section, you can also completely remove unnecessary content.

For example, if you restore a recently deleted carousel photo, it will reappear on your profile in the original post.

Recall that earlier Instagram began to check the reality of users using selfies. nine0003
