Award-Winning Kitsap County Media Campaign Expands Reach, Chronicles Success Stories

KEDA launches an expanded media campaign highlighting the vital contributions made to the greater Puget Sound, Kitsap County, as well as the regional economy.

Bremerton, WA (PRWEB) January 28, 2016 — The Kitsap Economic Development Alliance (KEDA) today launched an expanded media campaign highlighting the accomplishments of area businesses making vital contributions to the greater Puget Sound regional economy.

The new productions are extensions of KEDA’s “Kitsap Connected” campaign, which has been recognized nationally as an outstanding – and effective – stimulus for regional economic development.

“These new videos build upon our ground-breaking film, ‘Kitsap Work + Life,’ which featured over 40 Kitsap thought leaders,” says John Powers, KEDA’s Executive Director. “We realized early on that the very best storytellers in our region are our members and partners themselves, sharing their personal and professional successes.”

New videos launched today at the annual Kitsap Decision Makers Breakfast include:

  • * “BUILDING: Watson Furniture”
  • * “STRENGTH: SAFE Boats”
  • * “QUALITY: Lyons Painting & Design”

The “Kitsap Connected” campaign relies not only on the KEDAweb presence and outreach tools, but also takes advantage of the extensive networks of its member partners. The result is a growing collection of sounds, images, and interviews that portray the County for what it is: a cornerstone of the Greater Puget Sound Economy not to be overshadowed by its King, Pierce, and Snohomish neighbors.
“These images and interviews tell our story beautifully,” commented Clif McKenzie of Watson Furniture, “we’re a home grown business with a national customer base, which it turns out is not that unusual for Kitsap County.”

Kitsap business owner, Chad Lyons, of Lyons Painting & Design remarked on his video “We are excited about this dynamic opportunity to tell our story. Our people are proud of their work and the Kitsap communities they live in.”

Powers expressed his gratitude for the leadership shown by the KEDA Board of Directors and the participating member-partners who helped bring “Kitsap Connected” to life. “Last fall our Alliance was feted by the International Economic Development Council with two awards – national awards – for marketing communications among economic development councils, for “Kitsap Connected” and for our Kitsap Aerospace & Defense Alliance special purpose website. We’re leading the way not just regionally, but across the country.”
“It’s about culture, quality of life, and a motivated, expert workforce,” added Dennis Morris of SAFE Boats, “that comes across loud and clear in our new video, and we’re delighted with the results.”
