Sending top quality photos on WhatsApp is difficult, but if you want to do so, it is very much possible both on your iPhone and Android devices; here is how to do so.
WhatsApp tips and tricks: WhatsApp is known to reduce the quality of the photos that you send and receive from both iPhone and Android phones. By default, WhatsApp reduces the photo quality by 70% for faster data sharing purposes. But sometimes, this can be very frustrating, especially if you need to share a high-resolution image for an official reason or just to keep it as a memory. But there is a way to bypass this auto image compression and send high resolution images on WhatsApp whether you use an iPhone or an Android device. To send WhatsApp high-resolution images, you just need to follow a few simple steps. Read on to find what they are.
While WhatsApp is great for instant communication and sending memes, it gets a little annoying when you are trying to send a really nice high-resolution photo as it keeps reducing its quality. With WhatsApp's auto image compression, these images often lose their soul and become hard to use. Well, do not worry. WhatsApp does have an option which lets you send high quality images very easily. There are two ways you can do it, to varying degrees of higher resolution.
How to send high-resolution images on WhatsApp - the simpler way
This is the comparatively easier method that you can use. While it will still not allow you to send a full quality image, it will improve the quality of the picture by a significant margin. You can do it on either iPhone or Android but this is not available on WhatsApp web version. Send WhatsApp high resolution images this way:
1. Open WhatsApp and go to Settings.
2. Tap on Storage and Data option.
3. Scroll down to ‘Media upload quality'.
4.Choose Best Quality.
And done. One advantage of this method is that you only have to do it once, and all your images from that point onwards will be sent in a higher resolution. However, it can be data intensive, so ideally unless you are on WiFi or have a large amount of mobile internet data, this will eat up your data balance quickly.
There is one other way, which, while a little longer, will allow you to share full quality images. This too, can be used on both iPhone and Android, as well as WhatsApp web. The only downside to this method is that you will have to repeat the steps over and over every time you want to send a high-resolution image on WhatsApp.
How to send high-resolution images on WhatsApp - the better way
Step 1:
Go to the chat or group where you want to send the image.
Step 2:
Tap on the clip icon next to the camera and WhatsApp payment icon in your text box.
Step 3:
Select ‘Document’.
Step 4:
Now browse through your files to find the image you want to send.
Step 5:
If you have any difficulties, the image should be in your camera folder.
Step 6:
Select the image and press ‘Send’.
Step 7:
And that’s it. You have successfully sent a high resolution image on WhatsApp

Fed up with WhatsApp's low-resolution image transfers? Here's the fix.
WhatsApp is a convenient platform to keep in touch with friends and family. Some workplaces even use the app for interoffice communication. But one of the platform’s significant limitations is its punitive cap on the file size of shared images.
Additionally, if you try to send full-resolution images via WhatsApp, you'll probably see errors or notice extreme image compression. So, what do you do if you want your photos to retain their original quality? Well, hidden in WhatsApp is a little-known method for transferring crisp, high-quality images, and we're going to show you how it works.
WhatsApp's File-Sharing Limits
WhatsApp has different file sharing limits depending on the media. The maximum file size for photos, videos, and voice messages is 16 MB. That may sound like enough, but there's a catch: Even if your image is less than 16 MB, WhatsApp applies a compression algorithm.
It's this compression that results in a reduction in photo quality. On the other hand, WhatsApp’s document-sharing limit is 100 MB, and files sent as documents are not compressed.

You've probably already figured out where we're going here, but the way you send high-quality photos via WhatsApp is by sharing your image as a document. Document-sharing is the key to the best quality WhatsApp image transfers.
Here’s the procedure:
- Open any WhatsApp conversation.
- On Android, tap the attachment icon adjacent to the camera icon and select Document. If you’re using an iPhone, tap the + icon on the left of the text box and select Document.
- Browse through your files and select your image.
- Tap Send to share the image.
Once you press send, your photo will bypass WhatsApp's 16 MB limit and evade compression. So, recipients should receive the image in its original quality as long as the file size stays within the 100 MB limit.
In the future, WhatsApp may officially begin letting users share “best quality” images and videos. However, you can still use the document-sharing method at any point to transfer full-resolution images.

How to send high-quality photos to WhatsApp want to send a high quality image, we open the chat and click on the attachment.
We select the gallery option and select an image from there and then send it. It's okay if you don't care about quality, but if you want full quality, use the method below.1) First of all go to WhatsApp and open a chat. Click the attachment option with the paperclip icon.
2) Now instead of selecting the gallery option, select the document option.
3) This will open your file storage. Once you're in the file vault, find your image and select it. Click on the send option in the pop-up window to send the image.
4) that's all your image will be delivered in full quality.
It is fast and can be used with an image size of 6-7 MB. However, if your image is in RAW format and is larger than 15MB, there may be a quality issue. Don't worry; there are other ways to send those large images to whatsapp without sacrificing quality.
Method 2: Rename the file
WhatsApp recognizes JPEG and PNG images. If you rename the images to a different name, WhatsApp will not recognize the images and will deliver the file as is. Images contain metadata and sometimes WhatsApp can recognize the file type, but this is rare and so you can try this method.
1) First of all, go to your file manager and select the image you want to send.
2) hold this image file and click on the rename option.
Then change the file extension to PDF or DOC by renaming it.
3) Open your whatsapp and then open chat.
4) Now click on the attachment options (paperclip icon) and select the document option.
5) You will be taken to the file browser. Search or browse and find the image you renamed and select it. Click the Submit button to send the file.
6) Tell the receiver to rename the file to JPEG or PNG to restore the file extension as before.
That's it; your image will not lose quality, and the recipient will receive the image as it is. If this method does not suit you, you can use another method.
Method 3: compress the image file
You can use applications to compress any type of file. The same applies to the image file. File Compress apps compress your image without quality reduction and change it to a format that WhatsApp cannot recognize this type of file and deliver the file as it is.
You can use any compressor application of your choice. There are many apps for Android and iOS devices. ES File Explorer is one such application.
To compress a file using ES File Explorer, first download and install the app from the app store. Open the app and find the image file. Once you find that the image is being held onto it, a menu will open, select the compression option.
After that, a new dialog box will appear, in which all compression settings will be specified. Leave them as they are and set the compression quality to 100 after this compression option. That's all your file will be compressed. Now send the file using the attachment option.
Method 4: Use Google Drive
If nothing works for you, this will definitely work. All you need is a Google account with access to Google Drive. You can also use iCloud if you are an iOS device user.
1) First of all, upload images to your Google Drive or iCloud from your phone. Now navigate to the drive and select the image you want to share. You can also select an entire folder if you want to send many images.
2) After selecting a file or folder, click Options and select the Share Link option from the menu.
3) This will copy the share link to the clipboard. Paste the link into your message and send it.
4) All users with this link can view and download images from your Google drive.
If you want to allow only a few users to view and download these images, you can only allow these people in your drive settings.
Output
To sum up, these are all available solutions for this, sending high quality photos using Whatsapp. You can always use them if necessary, but sometimes if other methods don't work, use the google drive method. Also, there are some other apps that send images in the same quality and don't compress or reduce the quality of the images, so you can try those too.
That's all for this article. We hope this resolves all your doubts and provides you with a solution to help you send high quality images using WhatsApp.

How to transfer photos from phone several times a copy. This happens both in instant messengers and in social networks: firstly, because storing images in high quality creates a large load on the server, and secondly, because compressed images load faster. However, if you need to transfer the original photo without losing quality, check out this article.
File in messengers
The original uncompressed image can be transferred through some messengers, namely Telegram and Whatsapp.
To save mobile traffic, Telegram automatically compresses the photos that the user uploads to the chat. To get around this limitation, it is enough to check the “upload as file” box when uploading a photo. You can also press the paperclip button at the bottom of the screen, then select "file" and then upload a photo. If you want to send photos from your computer, just drag and drop them into the program window. After that, two fields will appear: the first for fast compressed sending, and the second for sending without quality loss. Drag the file to the second area and the original photo will be loaded into the chat. File size limits - no more than 1.5 GB.
After a recent update (namely 2.17), Whatsapp also has the ability to send the original photo without compression. If earlier the messenger automatically compressed the photo several times, now the picture can be sent as a document, provided that its size is not more than 100 megabytes. To send a photo, go to a dialogue with a person, then click on the paperclip icon in the text field and select "Documents". A window will open in which you need to click "View other documents", and then select the required file to upload.
By mail
Larger photos can be sent by email. On Mail.ru, before uploading images, it is enough to uncheck the "adapt files for the Internet" box so that the photos are uploaded in their original size. Pictures larger than 25 MB will be presented as links. If you use Yandex.Mail or Gmail, you need to click on the paperclip icon and attach the necessary photos. They will be downloaded in their original size and the recipient will be able to download them if necessary. Also, users of Yandex or Gmail mail can upload a photo to a letter from Yandex or Google disk.
However, this method has a number of disadvantages: uploading a large number of photos will take a lot of time, and the mail itself may “hang”, due to which the letter will be sent empty. Also, when sending several photos, some email services may automatically convert them into a link, which will make the quality worse.
To avoid this, archive all the necessary photos and then send them by mail in one file. To do this, it is recommended to use the Winrar program: download it, then right-click on the folder with the desired images and select "Add to archive". Select the required archiving options, and in the "Compression method" column, select "No compression". Everything, after the photos are added to the archive, send them by mail as a regular file. Sending the archive will take much less time and will not create a large load on the mail server.
Through the cloud
The most popular cloud service is Cloud.mail.ru, as it has free 100 GB of free space. Using his example, we will look at how to send photos through the cloud without compression.
Instructions:
- To get started, register on the site cloud.mail.ru;
- Then click "download" in the upper left corner;
- A download window will open in which you need to place files;
- After the files or folder are uploaded, select them with a tick and click "get link" at the top of the screen;
- Copy the received link and send it wherever you need, for example, in a dialogue with a friend on a social network or in a messenger chat;
- Below, in the "Share" section, you can click on the envelope icon: then the form for writing a letter will automatically open with a link to the images already added;
- To avoid adding photos one by one, add them to a folder and archive it via Winrar.
In a similar way, you can “upload” a photo to Yandex.Disk or Google Drive, however, there are much fewer free gigabytes.
Via airdrop
Airdrop is a technology that allows you to transfer photos and other files between Apple devices. To enable the option, open the "Control Center" with a swipe from the bottom up. An AirDrop icon will appear below the volume slider. Click on it to enable the feature.
Now, to transfer an image, select it in the gallery, and in the lower corner of the screen, click on the up arrow icon. Here you can tick other photos if you want to transfer multiple files. After you have marked the required photos, click "Next". File transfer methods will pop up at the bottom of the screen, click on "AirDrop". You will see a list of contacts to whom you can send a photo - select one of them. A notification about the transfer of the picture will appear on the screen of another gadget: in order to save it to your phone, the user must click the "Accept" button.
