The Instagram translator translates profile bio, image captions, and comments written in foreign languages to your preferred language in which you use the app.
Suppose English is your default language while using the app, then Instagram will translate the comments and captions in another language to English only.
Thus, if you need the translation in Spanish, you need to set your app’s default language to Spanish. Do similar for other languages.

In 2016, Meta announced users could use the Instagram translation to read and understand the captions, comments, & bios written in different languages. So now you can tap the see translation option to convert the captions and comments in their app’s default language.
Recently, Meta rolled out this helpful feature for Instagram stories so that people can translate and understand stories’ captions without hassle.
The research paper by Anisa Larassati, Nina Setyaningsih, and others confirms that Instagram does not use the Google Translate API because Instagram translation has more grammatical and structural errors.

Just months after Instagram launched its auto captions feature, ‘Gram users around the world now have a new tool to help them better communicate and connect with each other. As of on Wednesday, July 21, you can translate any text in Instagram Stories — and the feature currently boasts more than 90 different languages. Here’s how to translate Instagram Stories so you can remove the language barriers when browsing content.
Instagram officially rolled out the global update on July 21 to both iOS and Android users, meaning everyone should be able to use the feature to translate any text into one of the more than 90 languages that are supported. This update comes after Instagram launched an auto captions Story feature to automatically translate any spoken words into text in May 2021, and this translation feature is a welcome one.
Translations in Instagram Stories is one more way of making the app (and the content on it) more accessible to users from around the world. By removing the language barrier element, you can now better understand and connect with content on Stories that might have been inaccessible before.
Ready to try the feature out for yourself? When you’re watching someone’s Story, Instagram will automatically detect if any text is a different language than the one you have set as your default. You can change it at any time by tapping the three horizontal lines located in the top right of your Profile, selecting “Settings,” scrolling down and tapping “Account,” then selecting “Language.” Here’s how to translate Instagram Stories with the tap of a finger.
Translations are not available for audio at this time, meaning you’ll also need to type your words out if you want your followers to have the option of translating the text. Also, keep in mind that this feature only translates still text (or text animation) that was typed using the text tool, so it isn’t compatible with the “automatic captions” sticker Instagram recently rolled out.
Additionally, if there are multiple Story posts that have text in another language, you’ll need to tap "See Translation" each time to view a translation. However, there’s no limit to how many words or characters can be translated in one text caption.
The feature should be available to all users around the world at launch on July 21, so make sure you have the most up-to-date version of Instagram and try it out for yourself.

Since Instagram is a platform developed in many countries, I want to subscribe to foreign users in order to learn more about their culture, country, and just watch foreign stars.
But not every person speaks the language that his idol speaks, so you need to use the translation function into your native language. Translator on Instagram: how to do it yourself and understand what people write is an important decision. With the help of transliteration, you can not only learn information, but also “pull up” knowledge.

Automatic functionality Instagram started working back in 2016. You could enable the function in the settings, and the dictionary has the ability to use 24 languages.
At the same time, the dialect that uses the text is determined automatically, and the transliteration is carried out to the specified one.
You can translate this way:
Please note! Texts that were published before the feature appeared on the social network will not be translated.
Celebrity blogs are often commented by users who speak a different language. It can be interesting to understand what this comment contains, and sometimes such messages appear on ordinary profiles when foreigners visit them.
Instagram translator: how to make comments under a post
And in order to return the original text, you must select "View original".
Many Instagram users post in their native dialect, which not everyone can understand. To do this, you need to turn on the transliteration of the text, then you can understand the essence of what is written under the photo. So, in order to understand what is written under the post, you need to do everything the same as in the case of comments. Just click on the "Show translation" block and then the text will appear.
You can also change it in the settings, and then all the information will be transferred to it. It’s easy to understand how to remove a translation on Instagram, you just need to click on the same button, only it will be highlighted “View original”.
Sometimes you need to translate profile information, for example, in order to make an account in English and find a large audience. But, if there are difficulties in understanding, you can use the functionality of the social network and put another one.
After the new setting appears, the information will be automatically transferred to it. But when viewing the profiles of foreigners, the description will change automatically. And, if this does not happen, you can click on "View translation".
After you have looked at the text, you can return the original to clarify it and see the original version. This will require configuration. You need to change it in the same way as before. Go to settings and change it to Russian or any other.
Reverse transliteration for comments is done with the "View original" button.
Many users wonder how to translate a comment on Instagram in order to understand what others are writing about.
But the developers warn that the function does not always work. Not all texts work automatically. If such an error occurs, then it is worth restarting the application and trying to view again.
For example, translating posts into English helps to promote the account, since many people own it. This way you can promote your account and meet new people. Transliteration of the page will also help those who use their account as a commercial platform or are a blogger. This way you can reach a large audience and find your customers or fans around the world.
The service offers the correct option. At the same time, the user will also be able to find out information from the accounts of foreign representatives of any field and understand what is at stake.
In order to change the transliteration, you need to change the profile language, since Instagram will adapt to it. You need to understand that with a new change in the account, the entire interface will change.
In addition to showing your profile and news feed in the language you choose, other blocks of information will be redirected to it.
You can enable the ability to change as follows:
For speed, you can enter the name in the search bar, which is located at the top.
The easiest way is to set the new language in the app on your smartphone. You can do this as quickly as possible by following the instructions from the previous section.
And, here, if you accidentally chose the wrong one, and do not know how to return, then you can intuitively “get close” to solving the problem. So, you need:
In this section, you will have to find the "language" block intuitively if it is not located as usual 5 from the top. After the “set of possible settings” opens, you can click on Russian in order to better remember the interface and navigate.
The interface of the mobile version is slightly different from the application on the PC and web, so you need to familiarize yourself with the option to go through the desktop version.

This way you can easily change the settings.

Sometimes the standard translation on Instagram does not work, but you need to see the information, so you can use plugins for sites. This can be done on a computer. You can use both regular online services where you need to put information manually, and choose add-ons for the browser.
To add a browser extension, you need to go to the section of these Extensions, Add-ons or Plugins and select the desired section "Translation".
You can find a handy extension and install it for your browser. You may need to restart your browser for the extension to function. As soon as it starts working, the page will immediately be Russian or you will need to confirm the actions.
Automatic translation of posts, of course, can bring new subscribers, but this is an ineffective tool. It’s better to promote your Instagram account not with the help of advertising from bloggers, but choose a less expensive method and use the Dosmm service, which will promote your post with likes and comments, and also help you get new followers.
The functionality is as simple as possible. It is enough to replenish the balance and order the required number of likes, subscribers, comments. Thus, you can promote your blog and find followers, and commercial ones will be able to find customers if they order high-quality advertising.
Why doesn't automatic transliteration work?
The option may not always be displayed correctly, you may need to update or restart the application.
Can the text be adapted to other languages?
The service will automatically make the text on the option selected in the Instagram settings, so you should change it.
Why can't I return the original text?
You can return to the original using "View Original".
