If the feature doesn't work, it might just be disabled in the Telegram settings. Check the "Record voice when approaching" toggle.
7. Create and send GIF-animation
The mobile version of Telegram has a function to send a video. It allows you to quickly shoot a video, trim it if necessary, select the quality and send it to the chat.
The result is a video file in MP4 format that starts when clicked.
If, when creating a video, in the trim menu, turn off the sound by clicking on the microphone icon, then your recording will be sent to the chat in the form of a GIF. And it will be played automatically in a circle.
8. Apply masks over photos
When sending a photo to Telegram on your smartphone, you can crop the photo, change colors, add a caption, or attach funny mask stickers. It can be a funny wig, beard, glasses, animal ears and more.
To select these "stickers", take a photo using your smartphone's camera in the send message menu. Then, in the editing menu, click on the brush, and then on the mask icon. All stickers offered by the messenger can be rotated and resized.
9. Protecting chats with a password
This feature allows you to hide correspondence from prying eyes. It will be useful in situations where you can accidentally leave an unlocked smartphone somewhere. With all the desire, without a confirmation code, even the list of chats cannot be opened.
The feature is called "Passcode" and is available in the privacy and security settings. After creating a four-digit password in the chat list at the top, you need to click on the lock icon. Next, you can minimize the application or simply turn off the smartphone screen. When you try to open Telegram again, you will need this password.
10. Hiding chats with disabled notifications
The list of chats and contacts in Telegram is still not organized in any way. When new messages come from everywhere, even turning off the notifications of the selected channels no longer saves.
To solve this problem, many are switching to alternative mobile clients such as Plus Messenger. It has separate tabs for chats, channels, bots and other things. This is really convenient, but what about the desktop version? There is a solution for her, and right in the official client.
Open the settings, turn on the English layout and spell the word workmode. A message should appear asking you to confirm the action.
Then the program will restart and a clickable inscription "Hide chats without notifications" will appear in the list of chats and channels. Clicking on it will hide all chats in which you have turned off notifications.
You can return to the standard view in the same way: by entering the workmode command in the program settings.
