And that’s all there is to it. We’ve also covered how to delete your Facebook account, your Instagram account, and your Twitter account.
What happens when you delete your WhatsApp Account
Deactivating your WhatsApp account is irreversible, meaning you won’t be able to get it back once it’s gone, and you’ll have to sign up as a new user if you choose to return. Here are a few things to remember before deleting your account.
- Deleting your account will erase your message history.
- WhatsApp will remove you from any active WhatsApp groups.
- WhatsApp could also delete your WhatsApp backups.
- As soon as you click DELETE MY ACCOUNT, you will no longer be able to regain access to your WhatsApp account.
While you will lose access to your WhatsApp account immediately, it can take up to 90 days for WhatsApp to delete all of your information. Even after 90 days, copies of this data can still remain in backup storage.
WhatsApp is also transparent about keeping specific log data in its databases after account deletion. However, it says this is disassociated from the user’s account and cannot be linked back. For more information on how WhatsApp uses and stores your data, check its Privacy Policy.
If you’re trying to get rid of WhatsApp, we hope this helps you. If you have any further questions, drop them in the comments section below.

Whatsapp accounts are linked to phone number , neither for a person, nor for email, nor for a physical device, this provides great convenience in confirming account activation via SMS and forgetting registrations, passwords and other things, but it also means is a potential privacy risk because anyone with this phone number can get all the data associated with it.

We find the WhatsApp application installed on our iOS device and open it (applicable on Android).
Paso 2:

Delete WhatsApp account
This option will work for people who want to delete their current account. If you decide to delete it, your contacts, chat history, and all your past activities in WhatsApp will be erased, including any backups.
In general, the following will be deleted:
- WhatsApp contacts and groups;
- message history;

Note that it is possible to simply link your account to a new number if you have a new phone in working order.
How to deactivate your WhatsApp account
If your smartphone has been stolen, the best option is to deactivate WhatsApp through your carrier, i.e. block your SIM card. If you are unable to do so for some reason, you can disable your account directly from WhatsApp. Also, locking your SIM card will not prevent WhatsApp from working over Wi-Fi, so this solution will not be complete.
To deactivate your WhatsApp account, you will need to send an email to this service, and after a while your account will be deactivated. You can also reactivate your account via SMS or phone call after you have purchased a new phone. If you do not reconnect your account within 30 days, it will be permanently deleted.
