Instagram makes it incredibly easy to upload a photo or video to the app. But is it just as easy to see who's viewing all of your uploads?

Instagram gives users lots of controls and settings to fine-tune their experience in the app, but is there a way to see who viewed your Instagram posts? Since its launch in 2010, Instagram has been well established as one of the biggest social media platforms on the planet. It's well-known, free to use, and one of those social apps that everyone seems to have an account for.

But that doesn't mean Instagram is perfect. As more and more features have been added, knowing how to do 'simple' tasks has become more complicated. Instagram lets users switch back to a chronological home page, but you may miss the option entirely unless you know precisely where to look. There are also hidden settings to see your first likes, restore deleted content, and stop autoplay videos. These are all important features to be aware of, but more often than not, Instagram hides them in plain sight.

With so many features/settings to keep track of, many Instagram users likely assume there's an option to see who viewed their posts on the app. And it's a fair assumption to make! Given everything Instagram's capable of, having a tool to see who's viewing your photo and video posts seems like something that should exist. Unfortunately, it's not quite that simple.

How To See Who Viewed Your Instagram Photos/Videos

For photos and videos uploaded to your Instagram feed/timeline, there's currently no way to see who has viewed those posts. It's not something enabled by default, and there's no option in Instagram's settings to do so. It may seem silly to not have such a feature, but as it stands today, Instagram doesn't allow you to keep tabs on who's viewing your posts.

One workaround to this is looking at who's liked your posts. If you're on Instagram and viewing one of your posts, tapping 'Liked by' underneath it shows which users have liked that photo or video. It's not a perfect workaround, but anyone who has liked an Instagram post has also seen it. Videos you've uploaded to Instagram also show how many views they've received. It doesn't tell you who watched that video, but Instagram does tell you how many people have seen it.

How To See Who Viewed Your Instagram Stories

Thankfully, Instagram isn't quite so strict with Instagram Stories posts. While it's impossible to see who has viewed photos/videos published on the timeline, Instagram readily shows you who's viewed posts on your Stories page. Here's how to do it:

  • Open the Instagram app.
  • Tap 'Your story' at the top left of the screen.
  • Swipe up.

Here, Instagram shows users how many views a Stories post has received and a full list of who's seen that post — including the person's name, username, and profile picture. If you've uploaded multiple Stories posts over the last 24 hours, you can tap each one to see who's viewed that specific post.

But that's not all. While Stories expire after 24 hours, Instagram still shows you the viewer list up to 48 hours after a Stories post is published.  Here's how to find it:

  • From the Instagram app, tap the profile icon at the bottom right.
  • Tap the three lines in the top right corner.
  • Tap 'Archive.'
  • Tap one of your Stories posts.
  • Swipe up.
  • If that Stories post was uploaded within 48 hours, you'll still be able to see who's viewed it.

While it's irritating that Instagram doesn't let you see who's viewed your regular photo/video posts, at least being able to see a viewer list for your Instagram Stories content is a nice touch. Will any of this change in the future? That's difficult to say. Instagram may eventually let you see who's viewed 'normal' posts, or it may keep that functionality exclusive to Stories.

How to see who watched a video on Instagram, how to find out the number of views

Many users would like to see who watched their video on Instagram. This will allow not only to satisfy your own curiosity, but also to understand which direction to choose to promote your account. Is it possible to see the secret fans of a page on a social network? How to do it? You will find answers to these questions in the text of our article.

Why Instagram doesn't display video views

The official Instagram app allows you to view your post and profile statistics for free. Namely, to see who watched photos, videos and even stories.

Among other things, the total number of views of your records in the "Statistics" section will be available. The number of visits and other interactions with your page is also noted there.

If this information is not displayed, then there is most likely a reason for this. Namely:

  • old program version;
  • poor quality internet connection;
  • Wrong account type.

And of course, each of them has its own solution:

  1. Update the software for Instaset via the AppStore or Google Market, or delete it and reinstall it on your phone.
  2. Connect to Wi-Fi or catch the moment when your speed is at its "peak".
  3. Go to the "Settings" menu and the "Accounts" section, scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap on the "Switch to a professional account" button.

Good to know. After switching the type of account, wait a while for the analytics section to “accumulate” a little. Otherwise, empty tabs will appear before you again.

How to uncover visitors who viewed publics

To find out who watched the video and how many times it will take:

  1. Pick up a tablet or smartphone based on the Android or iOS operating system.
  2. Unlock the screen and launch the Instagram social networking application.
  3. Log in to your account using a standard login (nickname/email address/mobile number) and password.
  4. Click on the "person" icon in the bottom menu.
  5. Click on any prominent publication.
  6. Scroll down and select View statistics.

Here you can evaluate the following information:

  • number of likes and comments;
  • how many times subscribers shared this post or bookmarked it;
  • number of profile visits through this entry;
  • impressions and reach.

The values of the last item just mean how many times your video has been viewed for more than 3 seconds.

Note. You can look at the statistics not only under the clip, but also under the photos.

Is it possible to find out the names of all visitors who watched the video

Let's move on to the main question of the article - can you see who watched the video in your post? The answer is unequivocal - no. Instagram developers try to maintain a strict privacy policy among their customers. After all, how can you feel free when all your actions are shown on the page of the idol.

Despite this, you will be able to note:

  • the number of hits;
  • list of users who liked the entry in the feed.

If everything is clear with the first point, then in order to see who rated your video, follow a simple algorithm of actions:

  1. Go to Instagram and go through the "little man" to your profile.
  2. Tap on the appropriate video.
  3. Scroll down and click on "Like...(number)".

Done. Now you can see who liked the material you posted.

Are there alternative ways?

Of course, there are alternative ways to find out who watched the video on Instagram:

  • through your history;
  • broadcasting live;
  • using third-party utilities.

To understand how they work, let's look at each option in more detail.

The first step-by-step instruction will be as follows:

  1. Go to the Instaset program and log in.
  2. Swipe the screen to the right. This will allow you to switch to story mode.
  3. Shoot a new clip or upload one from the gallery.
  4. Edit it: apply filters, text or various stickers.
  5. Click on "Recipient" and choose who will see the story.
  6. Confirm the publication with the "Share" button.

After some time, the statistics we need will be displayed under the 15-second clip. To estimate the number of impressions, turn on the story and swipe up from the bottom of the screen.

For your information. If the “Private profile” option is checked, then only followers will be able to see your story.

In the second one, everything is a little simpler:

  1. Enter the story mode.
  2. Scroll the bottom menu to the left to "Live".
  3. Confirm your decision with the "On air" button.

During the broadcast, your viewers will be displayed in the lower left corner.

The third option is designed to keep track of the "fans" who visited your page and viewed the published video clips, you will have to use special programs. The AppStore and Google Market are just bursting with similar ones, but Instagram developers do not advise downloading them. After all, most often these spy apps can "merge" your account information to unauthorized persons.

Finding out who viewed the video on your Instagram feed proved impossible, but don't despair. Other equally popular tools are also suitable for promoting your business profile. For example, advertising promotions through Facebook.

How to find out who is viewing your Instagram profile

Instagram is one of the most widely used social networks these days, with over a billion monthly active users logging in to view images/videos posted by friends, family, or their favorite celebrities. While there are a large number of Instagram users who post daily, there are quite a few who simply hide without posting as much or use the platform as a means to harass other users. If you're an Instagram avid with a public profile, it's likely that you've wondered, "Can I see who's viewing my Instagram profile?" more often than you'd like to admit. So, how can you track who is viewing their Instagram account? Can you save a tab on your Insta stalker? Let's figure it out.

How to find out who is viewing your Instagram profile

Well, to be precise, there is no easy way to check who is viewing your Instagram page. Instagram does not have a built-in feature to allow users to check who has viewed their profile, and there is a very good reason for this - user privacy. Facebook-owned Instagram has all the data you'll need to check who's viewed your profile, but it won't share it with you because that could lead to a significant drop in user activity on the platform.

Why do you ask? Well, since a significant number of Instagram users spend their time just browsing other profiles without posting anything on their profile, if Instagram publishes data regarding their activities, there is a very high chance that they will stop using the application to the same extent that it is. definitely bad for business. Even though these users don't interact with other people on Instagram, they still consume the same amount of ads as everyone else, and if they are called to their activity, they may opt out of using the platform altogether.

Using third party apps to see who viewed your Instagram profile

So are there any third party apps you could use to see who viewed your Instagram profile? Yes, there are a huge number of apps, both in the App Store and the Play Store, that will let you believe that you can see who is viewing your Instagram account and find your Insta stalkers by giving them access to your Instagram account. But do they work? Definitely not . Applications such as "Who viewed my profile?" "SocialView for Instagram" has very poor ratings, and for several good reasons. The first, and probably most obvious, is that the apps don't work.

Apps just pretend to work and show a list of random Instagram usernames that keep changing every time you open the apps so that users feel like they are doing something. Secondly, and most importantly, these 9 applications0169 run the risk of becoming a serious privacy threat as collects all your account data as soon as you log into your Instagram account and grant them access to the data. In addition, apps usually charge subscription fees for their fake services and are also filled with ads, which do not really create a pleasant user experience.

The worst reason these apps don't work is pretty simple. Instagram's data policy clearly states that it is only shares the username, Instagram username and biography, profile photo, and email address with third-party apps that have not been verified by the company. In addition, the Instagram Graph API, which was introduced earlier this year, is much more restricted than the older Instagram API platform, which means apps that have not been approved by Instagram to use the API lose the ability to access the API as a whole . So now third party apps are out of the question, how can you see who has viewed your Instagram profile?

Using Instagram Instagram/Highlights to see who is viewing your Instagram profile

Although Instagram does not provide users with a feature where they can check who is visiting their profiles, it does have a feature that allows users to see who has all viewed their stories and highlights. Therefore, this feature can be used to check who has all recently visited your profile. To use this feature to reveal your Insta stalkers, all you have to do is click on the profile picture icons located at the bottom left corner of your recent Instagram stories. A list of all users who have viewed your story will appear, including users who are not following you.

This feature will also allow you to block all users you don't want to share your stories with by clicking on the menu button to the right of the username and selecting the Hide Story option so you can easily block any Instagram stalkers you may have.

Since Instagram Stories expire after 24 hours, you will need to check the list daily (if you upload it often). But if you want a long-term view of who visited your Instagram profile, you can check the same list in your highlights, which also displays a list of all users who visited your profile (assuming they played the highlights). ,

Using Instagram business accounts to see who is viewing your Instagram profile

You can also see who viewed your Instagram profile using your Instagram business account. Having a business account on Instagram will give you access to important information about who visited your Instagram page, but there is one catch.

With a business account, you can get valuable information about the users visiting your profile, including their location, age, gender, and the time they are online. However, understanding will not show 9 names0170 all individual users who have visited your profile.

If that's the kind of data you're interested in, you can easily convert your personal Instagram account to a business account. To do this, you need to go to Instagram settings and click "Switch to business profile" , and then connect your Instagram account to the Facebook page you administer.

Instagram will then prompt you to select the contact information you want from your Facebook page, as Instagram business accounts require users to have at least one contact information. Your new Instagram business account is now ready to go. It should be noted that Instagram Insights does not retrieve historical data and only starts collecting data after setting up an Instagram business account.

How to make your Instagram account private

Now that we've covered all the ways you can see who's viewing your Instagram profile, let's talk about how you can stop someone from viewing your profile. The answer is pretty simple. You can prevent unknown users from checking your Instagram by making your profile private.

To convert your Instagram profile from public to private, you need to go to the settings menu in the Instagram app and toggle the "Personal account" option . It is so simple. Please note that switching to a personal account will not affect your existing followers, so you will need to weed out unwanted Insta followers or stalkers on an individual basis after converting to a personal account.

So you can see who is viewing your Instagram profile?

So if you're wondering if you can see who viewed your Instagram profile, you can't. The only workaround that involves checking who has viewed your Instagram stories and events is not accurate as it only shows all users who have viewed your stories or highlights and does not count all users who have viewed posts on your temporary scale . Third party apps, as I already explained, are useless and using them is definitely a waste of your time and money.
