How telegram app works
What is Telegram | Why is it so special?
Messaging platforms like Telegram have helped us boost our digital businesses because they have multiple functions that allow us to better classify and distribute our offers.
It’s true that WhatsApp is very popular, but did you know that Telegram has some benefits that make it far superior? The truth is that it is a tool that goes far beyond sending messages.
The platform gives us thousands of options to create communication strategies to a more select group of people or to specific groups already defined.
For all these reasons, we wanted to have a chat with you about what Telegram is and what benefits you could get if you start using the platform.
Table of Content
Telegram is an instant messaging tool that allows you to send and receive messages from your contacts even without sharing your phone number.
It does this through a communications protocol known as MTProto that gives you the ability to open different sessions on multiple devices without being connected at the same time.
The program was created in 2013 by brothers Pavel and Nicolai Durov as an alternative way to communicate outside WhatsApp. This is how you can send from messages, video files, voice notes and much more using its own cloud.
It also offers you end-to-end encryption so no one else can know what you’re talking about.
What can you use Telegram for?You can use Telegram for many things, some of them are:
1. Sending messagesOf course, being an instant messaging platform it allows you to send and receive messages to and from your contacts. You don’t need to share your phone number, in fact, you can hide it to protect your privacy.
Telegram gives you the possibility to create your own username so you can be found through its search engine. You only need to know people’s username and you will find them in a few seconds.
You can send videos, audios, texts, make unlimited video calls with many participants. All this on your cell phone or computer.
2. Storing filesWithout a doubt this is one of the most important advantages offered by Telegram.
The platform has its own cloud, so all messages and files you have in chats will be stored until you delete them yourself.
How much can you save? The amount you want, its capacity is infinite and you will store videos, audios and any audiovisual document.
Create specific chats to divide them into different themes. An example would be: family photos, work items and more.
Is there a limit when sending a file? Yes, the size cannot exceed 15 GB, but this is enough capacity for almost any document.
3. Create super groupsCreating groups is a basic feature of any instant messaging app, but super groups are something very different.
With WhatsApp you can create groups with a maximum of 250 members and it has not updated this requirement for a long time. Do you know what the limit is that Telegram offers you? More than 20,000 members.
Which is a real wonder, and there are people like you who work in giant organizations that need to be in constant contact.
With Telegram you will do so without any problems and without taking up space in the memory of your device.
4. Organizing your chats in foldersThis is a feature that few people know about but it’s very useful.
In Telegram you can have millions of contacts because once you install it, it synchronizes with your phone data.
The problem is that sometimes you can’t find the person you need to talk to thanks to the amount of chats you must have at the moment.
So a possible solution that will help you to stay organized within the chaos is to be able to create folders for different topics.
In each folder you’ll have the chats of the people with whom you talk about specific topics. This way you will organize the platform and work more efficiently.
5. Creating channelsTelegram channels are a wonderful tool, especially if you have a digital venture.
It’s a one-way chat in which only the administrator will be able to send messages to their subscribers. The folders can be public or private and it works as a communication channel with a community.
The channels are wonderful for your brand, as they allow you to be in contact with potential customers, to let them know about the latest news of your products or services, as well as to know their opinions about improvements to make.
What makes it such a special platform?Telegram is a wonderful platform that you can use on a daily basis. What we love about it is that it’s a complete program that will not only be useful for sending messages but also for working in a harmonious way:
1. You back up your documentsThe first reason is that you will use the Telegram cloud to back up your own documents. It’s true that there are currently many alternatives, but remember that they have limits and many options are paid.
Telegram’s capacity is unlimited and you can use folders to organize information by subject.
Now you won’t collapse your hard drive or have to rely on Google Drive.
2. Multiple sessionsTelegram is very rigid with its security, so much that you can request two-step verification to make sure it’s you logging into your account.
It also allows you to log in with other devices you’ve opened your account on, so you can open multiple sessions on the same account.
Do you work from home and office alternately? Just download Zoom desktop and you can work from anywhere.
3. SecurityTelegram is known for its end-to-end encryption, to the point that many specialists recommend it when talking about sensitive topics.
Nowadays it’s very trendy to talk about the privacy of conversations. Surely you already know that intelligence agencies track our messages and calls, so using Telegram is no longer negotiable.
What about you, what are your reasons for using Telegram, have you already benefited from all the advantages offered by the platform?
If you have doubts about how to use this type of tools to work, access our blog, we have many articles that will help you create a solid and stable digital business.
What is Telegram Messenger and why should I use it?
Telegram may be among the most popular messaging services in the world, yet there are still many who don’t know what it’s all about. The app is often name-dropped in discussions regarding online privacy and security, but aren’t all messaging apps secure? Don’t more popular apps like WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger (despite their ties to Facebook) also have the fabled “end-to-end” encryption? What makes Telegram so special?
Keep reading to learn what Telegram does, what its main features are, and why you might consider using it. You can also download the app right away at the link below.
What is Telegram?
Telegram is a multi-platform messaging service founded by Russian entrepreneur Pavel Durov, although it was temporarily banned in Russia and has no affiliation with any government or company. It first rolled out on iOS and Android in late 2013, and now has an estimated 550 million monthly users. Telegram’s user base tends to increase whenever a privacy scandal hits one of its larger competitors.
What makes Telegram unique is its focus on privacy, encryption, and an open-source API. There are countless unofficial clients to go along with the official Telegram apps and web interface. It also allows multiple devices to use the same account (verified by SMS), and multiple accounts on the same device.
How does Telegram work?
Telegram’s core functionality is the same as most other messaging apps: You can message other Telegram users, create group conversations, call contacts, make video calls, and send files and stickers. However, there are a few specific features that make it work differently from other chat apps.

First and foremost, Telegram’s headline feature is privacy, and to ensure this it employs end-to-end encryption. This is what stops those outside a two-way conversation — be it a company, the government, hackers, or someone else — from seeing what has been sent.
However, Telegram only uses this encryption in calls and in its “secret chats” feature, not in regular chats. Those are only encrypted client to server. Meanwhile, WhatsApp, the supposedly less secure service, has used end-to-end encryption in all messages, calls, and video calls since 2016.
Telegram is all about privacy and security, and it isn't beholden to larger companies like Facebook.
The reason for this is Telegram’s enhanced use of the cloud. Essentially, it stores all of your messages and photos on a secure server. This means you can access them from any connected device, making Telegram much more multi-platform friendly than other chat apps like WhatsApp.
Another security feature that adds usability is usernames. Instead of giving people your phone number, you can simply give them your username. This gives you better control over what information is out there, and how people can contact you in the future. If you want even more privacy, you can generate a temporary QR code so people can add you without a username or phone number.

In general, Telegram is as safe or safer than most other chat apps. It could be argued that WhatsApp’s end-to-end encryption on all messaging is a better approach, but the company’s ties to Facebook/Meta may turn off privacy advocates.
Plus, if you’re using the “secret chats” feature, you’re getting the same level of end-to-end encryption. On top of this, users can’t forward or screenshot messages in secret chats, and messages can be programmed to self-destruct. Deleting a message also deletes it for everyone on the service, and users have the option to delete not just their own messages, but other users’ messages, too. It’s also worth mentioning that all chats are encrypted, even if not end-to-end encrypted.

Another thing to keep in mind is that selling your data isn’t at the core of Telegram’s business model. According to Telegram’s FAQ page, the company is funded by its founder and CEO Pavel Durov, not through advertising or data collection and sharing.
On the same page, Telegram also lists one of its two tenets of internet privacy as “protecting your personal data from third parties, such as marketers, advertisers, etc.” That puts it in stark contrast to a myriad of services from Facebook, Google, Amazon, and others.
Ultimately though, using Telegram doesn’t necessarily mean your messages are more private or secure than when using WhatsApp or other messaging apps. Server-side data leaks can still happen, and no amount of encryption will help if your end device is already compromised.
Is Telegram free?
Telegram is free to use and supported by its founder and CEO Pavel Durov. The company began employing new monetization methods in 2021, including a Telegram Premium subscription service, but the core business of chatting will remain free for everyone.
These new monetization methods include ads on public one-to-many channels (which function like Twitter feeds), premium features for business teams and power users, and paid sticker packs. Some of these funds will go back to users in the form of enhanced visibility for channels or payments to creators of unique sticker packs.
Can Telegram be used on PC?
Since Telegram stores chats and files on a remote server instead of your device, you can also access everything (except secret chats) from the web. Access it via the web portal or any of several Chrome extensions.
The company also makes its API publicly available for free and invites developers to create clients on other platforms. Users can also create custom bots, themes, stickers, and more free of charge.
Pros of switching
Telegram’s main feature list may cross over with other apps, but there are many specific differences between it and its competitors. Here is a short list of some of the major features that may push you to switch messaging apps.
Secret chats
The aforementioned secret chats are where you can take part in end-to-end encrypted messaging with a contact. But that’s not its only benefit: Secret chats also don’t allow a person forward messages from there or take screenshots. Of course, someone could take a picture of the screen with another device, but it’s still discouraged, and it’s bolstered by another feature: self-destruct timers.
Self-destruct timers
If you don’t want messages in your secret chats to hang around forever, Telegram lets you set self-destruct timers to permanently remove them. After a message is received, it remains in the chat for a predetermined period — you can choose times between one second and one week – before disappearing.
You’ll have to be especially concerned with privacy to want to do this — it means you’ll never have a chat log — nonetheless, it’s a nice option that Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, and WeChat don’t have.
SIM-less access
Telegram no longer requires a SIM card to sign up. You will, however, need to buy an anonymous phone number from the Fragment service. These are purchased using Telegram’s Toncoin cryptocurrency, typically costing $10-20. These numbers are tied to the blockchain and only work with Telegram.
Cloud access
Since non-secret chats and files are stored in the cloud, you can access them from any device by logging into your account. You will never have to worry about on-device storage or losing important files, but the trade-off is that you lose a bit of privacy and security.
Global message deletion
Since an update in 2019, Telegram has allowed users to delete messages sent by other users, across all devices. It’s a somewhat divisive feature. Having your messages deleted by someone else doesn’t feel very good. But if your conversation is between you and a person you trust, it’s another handy way to control your online communications.
Usernames
As mentioned above, the use of usernames instead of phone numbers means your account isn’t tied to just one phone. This makes it easier to log in on other devices, allows you to have multiple accounts on the same device, and makes it so you don’t have to share your phone number with someone to add them as a contact in Telegram.
Large file size limit
If you want to send big files, Telegram has much of the competition beat with support for up to 2GB files. Meanwhile, WhatsApp’s limit is a measly 100MB, WeChat’s limit is also 100MB, and Skype’s limit is 300MB. Telegram files are also stored in the cloud, so you can access them from other devices.
Customizations
Telegram comes with some customization options absent from many of its competitors where you can choose the dominant app color, how the app opens links, whether or not the UI shows animations, and more. There is also chatbot integration where you can make use of bots to improve the experience. You can even create your own themes, bots, and full apps using the Telegram API. Over the years, Telegram has built up an extensive bot ecosystem that adds even more functionality to the app.
Cons of switching
New user announcement
A further privacy blunder is that Telegram notifies your contacts when you join it — unless you don’t give it permission to access your contacts. The app doesn’t warn you it’s about to ping your contacts, and that’s a big caveat for those who want to use Telegram to keep a low profile.
Stories and statuses
Telegram lacks the Stories feature of some competing messaging apps which lets you post images or short videos without messaging a contact directly. Admittedly it isn’t an essential feature for most people.
Users
Possibly the biggest disadvantage Telegram has over more popular messages is simply that: popularity. Despite its hundreds of millions of fans, Telegram is still leagues behind WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and WeChat in active monthly users.
If you’re in the West and you meet a new contact, the odds are they’ll prefer using WhatsApp to Telegram messenger. Popularity breeds popularity, and trying to dethrone WhatsApp is an uphill battle for Telegram.

“Privacy” itself isn’t a particularly attractive product feature in online services. It can be nebulous: We can’t always feel or understand it, and sometimes it’s only when privacy is taken away that we take it seriously.
If you’re a particularly private person and troubled by news reports regarding online security and privacy breaches, you should absolutely consider using Telegram with secret chats enabled. You will have largely the same experience as with more popular messaging apps, with greater peace of mind.
That’s far from saying Telegram will protect you from all privacy terrors the online world presents — you should check out our Android privacy guide for a broader look at that. Telegram just offers a good marriage of popularity and security for those with concerns over other messaging apps.
You can download the app for free from the Google Play Store via the button below — give it a try with a pal if you’re keen. The best way to decide if it’s right for you is to try it for yourself.
Other FAQs
The founder and CEO of Telegram Pavel Durov is Russian, but the company has no ties to the Russian government. In fact, the founder fled Russia in 2015 after being pressured by the Kremlin for his ownership of the social media network VKontakte. The app has also been banned in Russia in the past for not sharing user data with the government. The company is currently based in Dubai.
Telegram does remove copyright-infringing content from public channels, sticker sets, and bots. The company cannot access or remove content from private one-to-one or group chats.
No. Your data is stored on servers spread across several countries, with encryption keys spread across multiple jurisdictions. This means no one government can force Telegram to give up your data. According to the company’s FAQ page, it has never given governments any private data. In fact, it was briefly banned in Russia for refusing to do so.
Yes. However, if you are not connected to Wi-Fi you may be subject to data charges if you go over your data limit.
Yes, all chats are encrypted, but only “secret chats” are end-to-end encrypted by default.
No, it doesn’t. You can use the app and find contacts using just a username.
Group voice calls are currently in beta. You can try them by installing the beta version of the app. Note that it will only work for admins in the group.
Finding groups in Telegram is easy. Simply head to the desktop app and use the search bar in the top left corner. This will bring up groups that match your search term, and you can join with a single click.
Telegram offers security in the form of end-to-end encryption. This means your messages are protected when you send them. However, they are decrypted once they reach Telegram servers, which could leave you vulnerable.
Telegram was launched by Russian brothers Nikolai and Pavel Durov, who still own it today.
Telegram offers end-to-end encryption, but the feature is not enabled by default. Your messages are protected on the way to and from Telegram’s servers, though they can be accessed while on the server.
Is the Telegram Messenger app safe? -- Parent Guide
What is the Telegram Messenger app?
Telegram, launched in 2013, is a messaging app similar to Whatsapp and Facebook Messenger. This allows users to send messages over Wi-Fi or mobile data. In October 2021, the number of users increased and this figure continues to grow as people abandon applications owned by large companies in order to stay safe on the Internet.
How the Telegram app works
The app is a cloud-based messaging app that can be accessed on any device. This makes it easy to track your posts. Users can send files of any type, make video calls and participate in group chats. To use the Telegram app safely, users can enable encryption and disappear messages.
Users quickly and easily register with their mobile numbers to access all of the app's features.
What is the age rating?
Telegram is safest for people aged 16 and over. Terms of Service. However, the Apple App Store has it set for those 17 years of age or older, while the Google Play store simply rates it as requiring parental controls. Users are not asked for their age upon registration.
What are the privacy and security settings in Telegram?
Telegram prides itself on its security features, which include the ability to encrypt messages between users or make them disappear after a certain amount of time. There are also several privacy settings that users can use. Just go to Settings > Privacy & Security Settings to get started.
Phone number
When a user registers, this is automatically configured so that contacts can see the mobile number of the user they registered with. Other options include allowing everyone or no one to see the number. In addition, users can add exceptions. For example, a parent can see their child's number, but no one else can.
Last seen and online
The user's last seen time is automatically set to visible to everyone, but can be set to only contacts or no one. You can also add exceptions here for those who will never see this information.
Profile photo
Everyone can automatically view user profile photos. This can be changed to contacts only except for those who can never see the profile picture.
Forwarded messages
Users can control whether messages forwarded from them refer to their profile. This setting automatically allows everyone to link to the user's profile, but can be configured to allow only contacts or no one, except in cases.
Calls
Users can control who can call them. It is automatically configured so that anyone can call the user, but it can be changed to contacts only or everyone. Users can also add exceptions here in addition to the option to allow peer-to-peer calls. This is automatically set for use with the user's contacts, but can also be set for anyone and everyone. Using this means that calls between one user and another will be able to communicate as usual with good call and video quality. Turning it off means that calls will instead be made entirely through Telegram's servers, meaning that the caller's IP address will not be visible. This also means that call and video quality is not as good.
Groups
Users can specify who is allowed to add them to a group chat that can accommodate up to 200,000 different people. This is automatically set for everyone, but can only be changed for contacts. Exceptions can also be made here for certain users who will never be able to add you.
Lock code
Users can secure their Telegram account and app with a password set and known only to them.
Two-Step Verification
Users can set a password that is required when logging in to a new device in addition to a code sent via SMS text message.
Active Sessions
This allows users to see where their account is still being used and on which devices. There is also an option to log out of all other sessions to make sure your Telegram account is not being used anywhere else.
What are the benefits of Telegram?
Millions of people use Telegram as an alternative to other messaging apps owned by larger companies. In October 2021, after various Facebook apps crashed, the app gained over 70 million new users.
Using the chat features that other popular apps already have, Telegram also has desirable security features. It does not share user information with third parties and is very easy to use with its clean appearance, high quality video calls and group chat features.
What to look out for in Telegram
While many praise Telegram's security features over other major apps, users still need to register using a mobile phone number. This feature reduces the security of the application.
Users can also join groups, which can contain up to 200,000 members, most of whom don't know each other personally. Anyone can be invited by mobile phone number or username to join the group. If there is no restriction in privacy settings on who can see a user account, then anyone in that group can see if someone is online and any other information that is available.
Also, while users must be over 16 years of age to join the app, according to the Telegram Terms of Service, the app does not ask for age verification when downloading and registering.

December 30, 2021:
- Users can send animated and interactive emoticons as instant reactions , which can be controlled through the account settings. Limiting this may encourage young people to think about what they are sending instead of sending an instant reaction to something.
- Spoiler tags have also been added to hide portions of text that may contain spoilers or anything else senders don't want recipients to see before they click on it . This message will also be hidden from notifications until it is actively clicked, so it should be monitored.
- Telegram has added translation function, allowing more people around the world to communicate easily . The availability of the feature and certain languages depends on the type of phone you are using.
- Users can create themed QR codes that can be easily shared with others . Young people need to know what they are scanning and make sure they are from a trusted source.
How to use Telegram - detailed instructions for use for beginners
Telegram has become the most popular manager in the CIS, and not because of a good life: Insta and FB were banned, WhatsApp is also threatened to be banned, VK shamelessly leaks user data and correspondence, and Viber, to put it mildly, is far from ideal in matters of convenience and communication quality. Telegram Messenger, on the other hand, is devoid of all these shortcomings: it is very difficult to prohibit and block it, it overtakes all other messengers in terms of convenience, and the secret chat function allows you to communicate with anyone on the most personal topics and send any photos without fear (if the receiving party, of course, will not send them to someone). Below is a great guide on how to use Telegram: how to download the app or open Web Telegram, how to register, how to create a channel, call people, look for bots, and so on.

Let's summarize
How to install the Telegram application
Let's start with the installation. There are 3 main ways to get yourself a messenger: go to Telegram Web, download the Telegram application to your smartphone for free from any store, or install a full-fledged Telegram Online on a computer / laptop. By and large, there is no difference; using Telegram is equally convenient from any type of application. The only point is that you need to register with Telegram in order to use the web version, that is, first you need to create an account through a smartphone or computer, and then you can use the browser version. The most browser-based version is located here: https://web. telegram.org/. Telegram will ask you to log in via a QR code, which you will need to scan with your phone, after which you will be allowed into the messenger.
You can find the desktop (for a computer or laptop) version here: https://desktop.telegram.org/.
You need to click on "Telegram for Windows", after which the official site will offer you to download the client. Installation goes without any problems and pitfalls, just click "Next". To enter the desktop version of the application, you will need to log in through your smartphone - it is on it that all the security of the application is tied.
You can download the application online in Russian for Android here, for iOS - here.
Since millions of people use the messenger, the developers have done everything possible to make the installation of the application as simple as possible - you just need to click on "Install" in the store and wait a bit.
How to register in Telegram
Like all popular instant messengers, registration with Telega is done by installing applications on a smartphone / tablet with further registration by phone number. But there is one important difference that you need to know: if in other mobile communication applications you can restore your account in case of loss of access in several ways (telephone and mail at least), then in Telegram you can restore access to your account, as well as enter it only with a phone number. Therefore, we recommend that you install the application on the device that has your main phone number.
So, to register, you just need to launch the application, after which it will prompt you to create an account. Now you need to allow the application to access calls so that it can identify you. You give access, indicate your number - and the application systems automatically check that you have entered the correct number (either you will receive an SMS, or you will receive a call from a robot).
Everything is ready, you can use Telegram.
In addition, the application on your smartphone / tablet will allow you to install Telegram on your computer or use the web version, as we have already mentioned above.
How to use Telegram: basic settings
If you didn't have a problem installing the program, then you will also figure out the settings very quickly. The settings themselves in the application can be found in the top menu (3 bars). The settings themselves look like this:
3 bottom buttons - reference information, you can see the answers to the basic questions of beginners, study the capabilities of the messenger in more detail and write to technical support. Just above these three buttons is the scale of the interface, if it is difficult for you to see the buttons / messages / avatars, etc. - you can zoom in.
Out of scale - a language you are unlikely to change.
And now let's move on to interesting settings. They are all grouped:
- Edit Profile . Here your personal information is edited: avatar, name, phone number, your ID, a short description.
- Notifications and sounds . Here you can configure the actions that occur with a particular event, most often we are talking about new messages.
- Privacy . Your privacy and security settings - who can write to you, who can invite you to chats, and so on.
- Chat settings . Here you can configure the display of information in the chat.
- Folders . Tool for organizing chats.
- Advanced settings . Fine settings of the messenger. Climb here with caution, a couple of wrong changes - and the messenger will stop working.
- Call settings . There are a couple of settings here, like a standard camera or microphone. There is nothing to configure here, in general, Telegram will select all devices by default for you.
Now let's go through these sections in more detail.
Change your profile
Here you can put a photo so that other people recognize you, write a short description of yourself (up to 70 characters), indicate a number, indicate a tag, link another account. You most likely won’t need the latter - the management of several accounts is mainly handled by marketers and group administrators. You will need to change your number if you want to transfer your account to a new number - please note that for this you need to have access to both numbers. Finally, your tag starts with @ and you will be searched for in Telegram and mentioned in chats. Therefore, come up with a tag that will be easy to remember.
Notifications and sounds
Telegram allows you to fine-tune notifications about various events.
We recommend changing the sound to your own if you are tired of the standard one, as well as removing notifications about contacts and pinned messages that have joined the messenger - after that you will receive only really useful notifications, like new private messages.
Privacy
The most important settings section.
- Phone number. Phone visibility settings are set here - that is, who can see your number when viewing your profile. Usually, channel and chat owners turn off visibility for everyone, ordinary users also rarely turn on visibility to remain anonymous.
- Last activity. Specifies who can see when you were last online, you can set the settings for any user or for individuals.
- Message forwarding. Who can forward your messages to other people and other chats.
- Profile photo. Who can see your avatar.
- Calls. Who can call you, works on both mobile and desktop/web versions.
- Voice messages. Is it possible to send you voice messages, the ban can be set only if you have a Premium subscription. If there is a premium, any version of the program will block sending you voice messages.
- Groups and channels. Who can invite you to groups/channels. It is recommended to set this setting in "My Contacts" so that you are not bombarded with spam.
- Safety section . Here you can block individual users, see who logged into your account, set a login passcode, and enable two-factor authentication.
- Sensitive materials. If you enable the setting, Telegram will block any 18+ content.
- Deletion of payment and delivery data. If you ordered something somewhere through bots in Telegram, you can clear all the data by pressing one button.
- Account deletion. According to the standard rules, an account is deleted if no one has logged into it for 6 months. This setting can be changed.
Chat settings
Background, emoji and themes can be configured here.
Folders
A very handy feature for advanced users. In this settings section, you can create up to 5 folders, after which you can specify for each folder a list of channels that will be in this folder. When there are a lot of channels (and this will definitely happen), you will not get confused with the help of folders. We recommend creating a separate folder for personal messages.
Advanced settings
Here you should be guided by the rule "If you don't know, don't bother". Interestingly, you can specify the path to save any files and change the auto-download of videos / photos so that large files, for example, are not downloaded without your permission.
Adding a new contact to Telegram
Telegram allows you to add contacts either using mobile phone numbers or by user tag. In both cases, you need to go to the "Contacts" section, and then enter either a number or a tag (starts with @). If such a user exists, it will be displayed in the list.
Correspondence in Telegram
After you have found the right contact, you can write to him. Here it is very simple: open a chat, write, send.
The process is no different from other instant messengers.
Creating a secret chat in Telegram
A secret chat is a special kind of chat. It can be quite finely tuned - to prohibit the forwarding of messages and screenshots, to configure the deletion of posts after a while, and so on. In addition, such an even cannot be hacked if the hacker does not have access to the device of one of the chat participants - without going into details, the encryption keys that are needed to decrypt protected messages are transmitted bypassing the Telegram server, that is, only the chat participants own the keys .
Creating a chat is as simple as a normal chat - just go to the messages menu, select the option to create a secret chat, add people.
Calls to Telegram
Calls, as we said above, can be configured - you can specify who can call you. So, if the user has not forbidden you to call him, you can contact by voice. To do this, go to the correspondence with the person and click on the handset in the upper right corner.
The application will ask you to grant it access to the microphone (on mobile devices) - allow it.
In general, calls work on any device, as long as you have a microphone.
Stickers, emojis and gifs in Telegram
Stickers, emojis and gifs will help you diversify your communication in Telegram. All of the above are pictures that are sent in messages (gifs are animated pictures, emoji are emoticons). To send one of these, you need to click on the emoticon in the message send line, select the category (emoji / gif / sticker), and then send what you want. Emoji can be inserted directly into the message, in the middle of the text, stickers and gifs are sent as a separate message.
GIFs and stickers must first be added to your collection. There are dedicated bots and sites to find the content you need, but the easiest way is to add yourself a gif/sticker set you like that you see in a chat somewhere. To do this, you need to click on the sticker, after which a menu will open with all the stickers in the package.
Click on "Add stickers" - and they will fall into your collection, after which you can use them.
Interaction with TG-bots
Bots are robots that do something specific. Bots are very different, and there are tens of thousands of them in Telegram: some advise movies, others collect discounts, others issue exchange rates, and so on. Bots can be very convenient, or they can be intrusive. If you want to search for a bot according to your needs, use the search on specialized services or see our material on the best bots in Telegram. Interacting with bots is very simple: when you add it, you will need to write / start to the chat with the bot, after which the bot will either issue buttons with which you can use its functionality, or indicate a list of commands. If you want to delete a bot, just select "Stop and Block" from the bot menu.
If a bot offers you something forbidden, you can report it and the bot will be promptly banned.
