How To Send A Video On WhatsApp Without Sound

WhatsApp lets users mute a video before sharing it. This can be done when recording a video from the app, or while sharing a file from the gallery.
WhatsApp offers several in-app editing features for media, and among these is the ability to send videos without sound. WhatsApp is the most popular instant messaging app in the world. Apart from messages, it lets users share images, videos, and documents. In 2021, it rolled out a feature that allowed users to share media that disappears from chats after it has been viewed once by the recipient. It even lets users choose between three options for photo upload quality.
Despite all the features it offers, WhatsApp still lags behind rival messaging platforms like Signal and Telegram in some aspects. For instance, it still has a 100MB limit for sharing documents on Android smartphones and a 128MB limit on iPhone. Users who want to share larger files will have to use links from third-party cloud storage solutions like Google Drive or iCloud, depending on the smartphone they are using. Another WhatsApp feature that's been in the works for a while but isn't available yet is message reactions, which lets users send a quick reaction to a text message using an emoji.

In 2021, WhatsApp introduced a 'mute' button for videos which lets users remove the sound of a video before sharing it. The feature can be used in multiple scenarios. For instance, users might find themselves in a noisy environment but want to send a video of their surroundings to their friends. Or, they might want to share a video of their child or pet, while muting a private conversation taking place in the background. The mute button might not be used frequently, but it's a useful feature to have in the app. WhatsApp gives users the ability to remove a video's sound when recording footage through the in-app camera or when sharing a saved video from the gallery.
To send a WhatsApp video without sound, users will either need to record a video or select one from their gallery. On the screen that shows the length and size of the file, tap on the small 'speaker' icon located at the top left corner of the display. Click on the send button, and the video shared to the recipient's phone will play without any sound. This method works on both Android and iOS devices. Before this feature was introduced, WhatsApp users had to rely on third-party video editing apps to mute their videos before sharing.
WhatsApp plans to release several new features for both its app and desktop interface. A recent report by WABetaInfo revealed that WhatsApp is testing group polls with up to twelve options on iOS. Additionally, another report by the publication suggests that link previews could return to the desktop version of the platform. WhatsApp is also said to be working on increasing the size of files that can be transferred to 2GB.

WhatsApp took to Twitter to announce that the new Mute Video feature will be available for Android users.
The feature basically allows users to mute a video before sending it to their contact.
“For your eyes, not your ears. You can now mute the audio on your videos before adding them to your Status or sending in chat. Now available on Android,” WhatsApp tweet reads.
The new Mute Video feature is available on the video-editing screen and a new volume icon pops up under the seek bar, by clicking on which will mute the outgoing video. The feature will be of great help to those users who want to share their videos without any audio disturbance in the background.
Currently, it is only available on Android and there is no information on when it will be available on iOS.
Here are the simple steps you can follow to remove the unwanted screeching audio file from your video.
STEP 1: First up, open the WhatsApp app on Google Play Store and click the update option (in case the automatic download option is turned on then the app should already receive the update)

STEP 3: The Mute Video feature is available both for individual chat and Status mode.
STEP 4: To make use of the new mute video feature, record a video (either on chat tile or Status)
STEP 5: Once you are done recording, you will see a volume icon at the top left corner, tap on it to mute video and you are all set to send the soundless outgoing video to the respective recipient.

New WhatsApp features make it easier to send videos and hide chats
WhatsApp is constantly getting new important features. Especially recently, when in terms of functions it began to lag behind Telegram more and more, and the latter catch up with it in terms of audience. This time we are talking about the possibility of convenient video processing before sending, which will make sure that no one knows what was happening in the background while shooting the video. Such a function may not seem the most necessary, but I constantly find myself in situations where I have to first process the video in the gallery or a third-party application and only then send it to the addressee. Now this practice will be put an end to and no one else will face a situation where the sent video somehow compromises them.
Many people use this messenger.

Whatsapp's new features
Whatsapp is indeed far behind Telegram when it comes to features, but the developers aren't about to give up. Therefore, they are constantly trying to roll out new features. If you're in the beta, disappearing messages and new advanced wallpaper settings that allow you to dim them and choose your own for each chat should be available to you by now. Soon some of these features will appear in the "for all" version, and in addition, one more feature will become available.

How to Send Silent Videos to WhatsApp
The folks at Wabetainfo have found evidence that WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will allow you to mute videos before sending them to a chat or status.
The screenshot that gives us an idea of how this feature will work shows that a speaker icon will now appear next to the duration and file size information on the left side of the screen. Users will be able to click on it to mute the video they want to share. This feature is still under development and 9 more0025 is not available even for beta testers. But according to experts, with whom it is difficult to disagree, there is nothing complicated in the implementation of such a function. So, most likely, it should appear before the end of the year.
Proof that change is coming.
Why do you need to send a video without sound
I myself often shoot something for work or just for friends. For example, how this or that function of a gadget works. And extraneous sounds in the background are not always needed. To get rid of this, I have to open the video in the gallery or a third-party editor and turn off the sound in it. These are redundant steps that make no sense. WhatsApp allows you to crop a photo or shorten a video before sending. What could be more logical than removing sound from it?
Archiving WhatsApp chats
Another discovered feature is under development. Many users will like it, because it is “Read Later”. This feature takes archived chats to another level and is reportedly replacing them. As you can see in the image below, it says that 'Archive' is now 'Read Later'.
Now it's called
If you put a conversation in this section, you won't receive new notifications from the chat. At least that's what the picture says.
Why you shouldn't use Disappearing Messages on WhatsApp
The Read Later section also has an edit menu that allows users to select multiple chats and delete them from the archive at the same time. The settings menu also lets you choose whether you want to save received media to your gallery, back up chats in that category, and automatically unzip chats when you receive a new message.
Let the changes be not so big, but pleasant.
What is better - WhatsApp or Telegram?
The expansion of features is long overdue and WhatsApp has recently begun to gradually introduce them into its application. All the same, the developers are either not in a hurry, or they are being careful, or they simply do not understand what needs to be done .
Telegram for Android received comments in channels, search filters and more
I myself didn’t really like Telegram before and still have several serious questions about it, but the speed and ease with which this service introduces new technologies, evokes respect. I would like to tell the guys from WhatsApp to install the competitor's application and just see how everything works there. So far, apart from the ability to see who has received and read the message from the chat, and a more pleasant interface, WhatsApp has no serious advantages. Most people just text, so what the service offers is enough for them. But maybe it’s worth trying something new and taking away a couple of hundred million users from Telegram. Before this happens, have time to look into our news channel.
Which of these instant messengers do you use?
There is another way why nothing changes significantly. Perhaps WhatsApp management is just afraid of breaking something. They have over a billion users, and if anything goes wrong, the stakes are very high. So they try to add new features very gently.
Let's see what happens next, but the opportunity to get something new from WhatsApp always attracts attention and a lot of interest

When recording video or audio, we don't really care about the size, since external storage is not a big problem for most smartphones. And recording HD video on Android or iPhone at the highest possible settings will mean that even a 30-second video will be between 15 and 20MB in size.
