Have you ever wondered how to know if someone has blocked you on Instagram? Or what happens when you get blocked? If you think you’ve been blocked on Instagram, don’t take it personally. The option to block certain users is a simple privacy feature that can be used by anyone, and it doesn’t necessarily mean that you’ve made a new enemy.
How to know if someone blocked you on Instagram? While the process isn’t totally straightforward, there are a few ways to tell if it’s happened to you.
Google Photos storage limit: Is the free storage really unlimited?
If you suddenly stop seeing someone’s posts and Stories on Instagram, you may jump to the conclusion that the user has decided to block you from viewing their content.
While that may be the case, it’s also possible that they’ve just stopped posting or even deleted their account. Here are a few ways to tell if you’ve been blocked on Instagram:
There are times when you may believe that someone blocked you on Instagram, but in reality, the account has been deactivated or deleted.
So how can you tell the difference?
Simple! A deactivated or deleted Instagram account will not show up in search results, and if you attempt to visit the profile via its URL, you will receive an error message. This is a sure sign that the account no longer exists.
Remember, accounts that have blocked you are still there; the profile page will say “No Posts Yet,” despite their post count still being visible at the top of the screen. Deleted accounts, meanwhile, simply disappear from Instagram.
But, if you’re also experiencing unusual things like those with other Instagram accounts, it might be that Instagram is not working or lagging.
If you’re really concerned about knowing who has blocked you on Instagram and don’t want to do the sleuthing yourself, you can use a third-party app to find the information you’re after.
A word of caution: Although Instagram does work with third-party apps to allow people to schedule posts and Stories, there is no Instagram-approved app for identifying users who have blocked you.
Thus, use the following apps at your own risk:
Without the use of a third-party app, discovering who has blocked you will require some investigation. That’s because there is no readily available list of accounts that have blocked you. This is because Instagram wants to make it easy to privately block accounts.
The apps listed in the previous section will make finding out who has blocked you on Instagram easier.
That is, if you are willing to pay for the premium services and risk violating Instagram’s terms of service, that is.
So, you’ve done some sleuthing and found out that someone blocked you on Instagram. What should you do next? Honestly, we’d recommend forgetting about it and moving on. But if you still have questions, we’ve got answers.
Can you see the profile of someone who blocked you?
Yes. You will be able to see the profile of the person who blocked you, but you will not be able to see their posts. Instead, you will see a message that says, “No Posts Yet.”
Can you message someone who blocked you on Instagram?
You can send messages to someone who has blocked you on Instagram, but they won’t be received. The whole point of the blocking feature is to eliminate communication between the person doing the blocking and the one being blocked.
What happens when you message someone who blocked you?
Instagram will not deliver any messages from a blocked account to the account that did the blocking. Even if that account unblocks you in the future, messages sent while the block was in place will never be received.
Blocking on Instagram is a privacy and safety feature designed to protect users from content and accounts they don’t want to see. Anyone can block anyone for any reason. Even if you discover that someone blocked you, you still won’t be able to do anything about it. Your best course of action is to let it go and move on. Hello friends.
Instagram gives us the opportunity to observe the lives of friends, acquaintances and celebrities. We can subscribe to interesting pages and receive news from all over the world. If you fill your profile with interesting publications, you can soon get your own audience.
However, there are also unpleasant subjects in social networks who have to be unsubscribed and blacklisted for violating our borders. Also, we ourselves can get blocked in case of a conflict with other users. Today we will figure out how to see blocked people on Instagram.

If you want to remove a person from your friends list, just unsubscribe and unsubscribe him. But sometimes this is not enough, a friend does not understand well, and you have to ban him. This is easy to do on the user page. You need to click on the 3 dots next to the name and select the appropriate item.
After that, this subject will no longer be able to view publications, mark and write comments under posts.
However, he will still be able to see your likes on the accounts he follows and tag your nickname in his posts.
If a user violates the rules of a social network and laws, insults or threatens, send a complaint against him to the Instagram administration. Then his page can be completely blocked.
In the mobile application, you can view the list of profiles that are subject to restrictions through the settings. I'll show you how to do it from an Android phone. If you have an iPhone, then everything is done in the same way, but the interface may be slightly different.
Go to your personal section by clicking on the icon at the bottom of the screen.
Then open the settings.
We go to the “Privacy” section and there we go to the “Blocked Accounts” item.
By clicking on the nickname, we immediately go to the user's profile, where it is easy to remove him from the emergency.
Now you can subscribe, continue to follow the news and communicate.
Restrictions can also be canceled via a computer. We go to the site instagram.com and, if necessary, log in. Next, go to the personal section, click on the gear icon and then on the “Privacy and Security” item.
In the window that opens, look for the inscription “View account details”, click on the link.
Then we open an emergency.
Only logins will be listed on this page. To unlock a friend, you need to use the search, open his page and click on the appropriate button.
When you send someone to an emergency, they are removed from the list of subscribers and will no longer be able to receive news from you and view your profile. He can’t even go to your page, but only sees a message that there is no such account.
When you cancel your decision, the “pardoned” comrade can visit and become a follower again.
When you add to the ban or remove the block, he does not receive any messages. It is possible to understand that you have been blocked on Instagram only by indirect data.
Like the cat Leopold, I would like to live in harmony with everyone, but, unfortunately, it does not always work out. If you quarreled with someone and got banned in the heat of the moment, now you know how to find him and unblock him. I wish you to meet only adequate people so that communication on the social network is pleasant and useful.

If you want to see the full list of users that you have blocked yourself, you can do this in a separate section of the official Instagram mobile app and website. Between themselves, the versions differ only in the presence or absence of additional features, where a clear advantage is on the client side.
To view the list in question, go to "Settings" through the main menu of the application and select section "Privacy" . Here, at the very end of the page, within the block "Contacts" , several categories are available, and some of them contain the names of blocked users.

Subsequently, from here you can either unblock using the corresponding button, or simply go to the account by clicking on the person's name. Be sure to keep in mind that the removal of any one restriction does not always lead to a complete unlock, as the user may leave the blacklist, but the publications will remain hidden.
Please note that this list should not be taken as a combination of blocked accounts and just people with limited access. Only the first ones are displayed here, while there is no separate section for the second ones on the site.
In addition to being blocked by you, other users can also restrict access to their account individually for you, which will also affect the appearance of the name in search results through the Instagram app or website.
If you do not see a person, you can take several actions, not forgetting about the possibility of errors on the side of the social network.

How to determine if you have been blocked on Instagram
The easiest way to get your username back in the search results is to voluntarily unblock by sending a message in one way or another asking you to remove the restrictions. As you might guess, this option does not guarantee anything, and it is far from always available due to the blocking, which also applies to Direct.
Separately, we note that before proceeding with any actions, it is worth making sure that you enter the user data correctly in general. In this case, you should always use the login, since it is unique, and not the usual name, which can be changed without restrictions.
If you can't find the user in the usual way, you can try changing the account.
Upon successful transition to the account, you can familiarize yourself with previously inaccessible publications, in addition, making sure that the problem lies precisely in the blocking.
In the absence of an additional account, as well as the desire to create a new one, you can use the browser version of the social network by inserting the nickname of the user you are looking for after the domain name. It is best to do this without authorization in the same way as shown in our example in the screenshot.
Alternatively, if you can't follow the link directly or find an account using an additional account, you should search for the user by activity. This can be done both by the comments that were left by the person earlier, or simply by the presence of the page in the list of subscriptions or subscribers.
Comments, for example, are not affected by access restrictions and display errors, and therefore, if the user profile still exists, you will find a corresponding message.
Otherwise, there is a very high chance that the account owner simply performed the deletion, and for this reason became unavailable through the search.
In addition to deletion, the reason for the absence of a user in the search results may be that the owner simply changed the current name using the appropriate account settings. In this case, you can check and search for a person using the comments already mentioned, focusing not on names, but on the text of messages.
As an additional solution, you can try third-party services that allow you to view user accounts from Instagram without registering. If you can find a person by name on such resources, you can safely discard any options other than blocking.

When interacting with such services, you need to enter an identifier in line “User Search” , similar to the official application or website.
