Thanks to the Archive feature, you can hide your Instagram photos if you're ever unsure about them. You'll always have the option to retrieve them at a later stage too.

This is common among Instagram users, and understandably so—you want to present yourself or your profile in the best possible manner. Thankfully, Instagram recognizes this and provides a solution in the form of its Archive feature.
Archive allows you to remove photos from your Instagram grid. They will always be on your profile in case you decide to retrieve them in the future and display them on your grid again.
Follow the steps below to get started on archiving any photos you want to temporarily hide on your Instagram account.

If you ever change your mind and decide that you want your archived photo to appear on your feed again, simply follow the steps below:

It is not uncommon to change your mind about a photo you've uploaded on Instagram. You can hide a photo if you're unsure about whether it's a good fit for your grid, or delete it outright. You might opt for the latter action if a photo no longer represents you well, or if it fails to reflect the current aesthetic of your grid.
But deleting a photo is permanent, so it should probably be your last resort. Archiving is your best bet until you're certain that you no longer want a particular photo to appear on your grid again.
Because you can still access an archived photo, you'll have plenty of time to consider whether you want to delete it permanently.

Users love to share several photographs or videos on their accounts because the site constantly offers new features like Reels, Reels Remix, Link stickers, and so on every other day. However, there may come a moment when you want to delete these posts from your profile but they are too excellent to delete. In such instances, Instagram includes an "Archive" option that allows you to conceal your posts from your Instagram profile without deleting them.
This way, you'll have your own personal vault on the social networking platform, which the user can visit whenever they want. They can even choose any archived Story and submit it to Stories whenever they choose. Notably, archived posts can be un-archived at the user's discretion.

For years, when it came to Instagram, you were forced to either delete a photo or leave it open for the public to see.

Launch Instagram and click on the photo you'd like to hide. Above the photo, you will see three dots. Touch these dots to open a small pop-up menu.
Click on the "Archive" button and that's it, your post is no longer available to everyone, only to you personally.

Launch Instagram, click on the clock icon and navigate to archived images.

Click on the photo you want to republish.
Click on the three dots above the image to bring up a menu similar to the one you saw when you archived the image.
Click "Show on Profile" to make the image appear on your profile again.
