A simple trick to delete WhatsApp message for everyone even after seven minutes time limit.
WhatsApp in October last year rolled out the much sought after feature, 'Delete for everyone'.
Similar to the concept of self-destructing messages already available on iMessage and other instant messaging applications, 'delete for everyone' lets you recall a message sent to a group or a contact. The catch is the feature is available up to seven minutes after sending.
While the seven minute limit is good enough time for you to rethink about your message, but sometimes you may exceed the time-limit. Fortunately, there's a workaround that lets you delete WhatsApp messages for everyone, even after seven minutes.
And more importantly, the workaround, found by Androidjefe, is quite easy and you don't need to install any third-party application or go through a complex process. So, here's how to do it.
Step 1
If you have sent a message to a group or a contact, and exceeded the seven minute time-frame, first thing you need to do is disable mobile internet and Wi-Fi on your phone.
Step 2
Now, go to Settings > choose Apps > WhatsApp.
Step 3
Tap on 'Fore Stop'. Most probably, your phone will give a warning message that doing so will cause the app to misbehave. Ignore that warning. Clear the WhatsApp from the background as well.
Step 4
Here comes the tricky part. Go to Date and Time under Settings. Disable the auto-time and auto-time zone (tap on the toggle buttons). Now, manually enter the time of the WhatsApp message you sent to a group. Check the time mention below the WhatsApp message.
Step 5
Now, go to the WhatsApp, delete the message you sent. The app will still show you the option to "delete for everyone." Select the option and you're almost done.
Step 6
Reconnect to the internet. You'll notice the message has been deleted.

3 Ways to Mute WhatsApp Calls
Since its inception ten years ago, WhatsApp has become an essential means of communicating with friends, family, business, and more. However, the fact that anyone with access to your phone number can contacting you through the app can be annoying at times.
This means that anyone who has saved your number in their phone book can send you WhatsApp text messages and even call you via video or audio call. In this post, we will help you mute WhatsApp calls on Android and iOS.

Method 1: Mute when calling
WhatsApp calls work similarly to calling your phone numbers. Thus, muting them is as easy as muting other calls.

On Android and for a regular phone call. To do this, press the volume down button or the power button on your Android device when you receive a WhatsApp call to turn them off individually.
On iOS
You can mute a WhatsApp call on iOS by muting it like a normal voice call. To mute a WhatsApp call individually, press the button, the Sleep/Wake button, or one of the volume buttons on your iPhone. When you mute a WhatsApp call using this method, your call will continue to ring, but silently and unanswered after a few seconds.

Method 2: completely disable all calls
If you are someone who does not expect voice or video calls through WhatsApp, but uses it to simply receive texts and media, you can disable all calls on WhatsApp.
On Android
To disable all WhatsApp calls on an Android device, open WhatsApp, tap on the three dots icon in the top right corner.
Select the Settings option from the drop-down menu.
On the WhatsApp settings screen, select the "Notifications" option.
On the next screen, scroll down until you reach the Calls section. In this section, click "Ringtone". When you are presented with a list of options, click No.
Now that you've turned off all sounds for WhatsApp calls, your job isn't done yet. Your Android device will still vibrate when you receive a WhatsApp call.
To stop your phone from vibrating every time you make a call in WhatsApp, select Vibrate in the Calls section of the Notifications screen. When prompted with a list of options, select "Off" to completely turn off vibration for incoming calls.
That's it! You have successfully turned off all incoming call notifications for WhatsApp calls. Your Android phone will no longer buzz or make sounds when you receive a WhatsApp call.
On iOS
Unlike Android, the WhatsApp app on iOS does not allow you to separately disable incoming WhatsApp calls. Instead, you are forced to turn off all notifications from the app, which means that in addition to muting your WhatsApp calls, iOS will also turn off notifications for texts received in the app if you follow the method below.
To continue to disable all WhatsApp calls on iOS, you need to launch WhatsApp on your iPhone/iPad, tap on the Settings tab at the bottom and select the Notifications option on the screen.
On the Notifications screen, you will notice that there is no dedicated notification management for WhatsApp calls. So, your only option is to turn off notifications for WhatsApp completely. You can do this by tapping the "In-App Notifications" options on the "Notifications" screen.
On the next screen, you will need to make individual changes to how you receive alerts in WhatsApp. If you don't want your iPhone to ring when you receive a WhatsApp call, turn off the "Sounds" and "Vibration" toggles. If you want to see visual alerts for calls and messages, you can leave "Alert Style" to "Banners" or "Alerts".
If not, you can change the alert style to "None" if you don't want WhatsApp alerts to bother you.
This is the only way to mute WhatsApp calls on iOS.

Method 3: Mute Calls for Contact
The following section will help you find a way to mute a specific person's WhatsApp calls instead of muting them all.
On Android
In the previous section, we explained how you can completely mute calls in the WhatsApp app on Android. But if you're someone who interacts with voice and video calls on a popular messaging app, then the earlier solution might not be right for you.
Lucky for you, WhatsApp allows you to turn off calls from a specific contact so you can be notified of calls from other people.
To disable WhatsApp calls from a specific contact, open WhatsApp and make sure you are on the main Chats screen inside the app. Here, select the chat thread you want to mute calls from.
Once the thread opens, click on the person's name at the top of the screen.
When the person's profile page opens, click on the "Custom Notifications" option.
On the next screen, check the box next to "Use custom notifications" at the top. The option to mute WhatsApp calls from this person will only be available if you enable this custom notification.
On the same screen, tap Ringtone under Call Notifications and select None. Similarly, tap Vibrate under Call Notifications and choose Off.
All WhatsApp calls from this person will be cut off. You can repeat the muting process for calls from different contacts that need to be muted beforehand.
On iOS
Unfortunately for iOS users, WhatsApp doesn't let you specify whose calls you can mute. This is because there is no separate way to manage WhatsApp call notifications like its Android counterpart. If you want to disable WhatsApp calls from a specific person, then your only option is to block the contact on WhatsApp.
You can block someone on WhatsApp by opening the chat thread with the person concerned, clicking on their contact name at the top and selecting the "Block contact" option. Blocked numbers will no longer be able to call your WhatsApp account or send you text messages.
You can view all the contacts you have blocked on WhatsApp by going to WhatsApp Settings > Account > Privacy > Blocked.
That's it. That's all you need to know about muting WhatsApp calls. To learn more about WhatsApp, visit our dedicated WhatsApp section or leave us a comment below this post.
