How to Change Facebook's Boring Blue Theme to Any Color You Want « Digiwonk :: Gadget Hacks

Facebook has always been notoriously difficult to customize. Personally, I think this is an improvement over MySpace's totally open platform (some people should not use code), but users should still have the option to change a few things if they want.

While you'll never be able to choose your own background image or add an obnoxious number of aWeSoMe quiz results to your profile, there are a few browser plugins that let you at least change the color scheme.

Color My Facebook

Color My Facebook is an extension (for any web browser) that allows users to change the layout color from the trademark blue. Once you install the application, Color My Facebook will change the blue to pink, but you have the option to choose any color after that. If your friends have the same add-on installed and have changed the color, you will be able to see the color they have chosen, as well.

Color Changer for Facebook

Out of all of the add-ons out there, this Chrome extension is the most popular. Color Changer for Facebook allows you to not only change the color of your Facebook, but customize the top Facebook bar, friend names, and the main headlines, feed texts, and background. It might be more work for some, but if optimal customization is your thing, then this extension might be what you're looking for.

iStyla

iStyla, the creation of a 14-year-old web developer, offers users several themes and presets that can be found on the iStyla Store. Other users that have iStyla can see your themed profile and vice versa. The only thing missing with this extension is the ability to customize.

not to that person. If this is a regular correspondence, then there should be no problems: you can always delete the message until the addressee has read it, or apologize. But if this is a chat for business communication, and you sent a personal message there, it will be very embarrassing.

To avoid confusion in chats, they are marked with different colors.

This technique will be very useful. It attracts the attention of the interlocutor and gives the correspondence a bright color in the literal sense. The change will be displayed to you and your interlocutor.

Changing the background of the publication

A few years ago, Facebook developers noted a decrease in the number of original posts against the backdrop of a rapid increase in reposts of viral content. This trend negatively affected the development of the platform. The administration decided to give users more opportunities to creatively design their publications.

Example:

At the initial stage, the developers added colored backgrounds. Everyone can use them. You just need to follow the algorithm:

  1. Log in to your Facebook profile.
  2. Click on the line "What's new with you?".

  1. Click on the icon at the bottom left to view all available options.

There are many options for solid colors and interesting pictures with which the background is transformed.

Creating an entry on a colored background in the mobile application:

  1. Click on the line "What's new with you?".
  2. As soon as you start entering text, an icon will appear at the bottom left.
  3. Click on the grid to expand the list of available backgrounds.

Important : the color scheme in the mobile application is much more diverse than in the web version. And the list of available colors is constantly expanding.

Color change in group

If you have a group on Facebook, you should take advantage of the opportunity to change the color scheme. This will add originality and style to it. A new user who goes to your public will immediately understand the theme of the group. Of course, the name of the community, the cover and a short description should be as informative as possible. But color also plays a role. Correctly chosen gamma promotes communication and sets the participant in the right way.

The color change feature is only available to the community administrator. If you want to change it, it will be useful to make sure that you have the necessary rights.

Procedure:

  1. Go to the group page.
  2. Click on the "More..." tab, it is located under the cover.
  3. Click on the line "Edit group settings".
  4. Find the "Color" item in the list and click the "Select" button.

Several colors are available for Facebook communities. Editing will change the background and color of the buttons. You cannot change the tone of text entries.

Color change extensions

Using special browser extensions is a great way to make your account more memorable. With their help, they change the color design and choose a color that is comfortable for reading. The extension allows you to make changes only on your own, other users will not see it.
