How to get fancy fonts on instagram

How to Change Fonts on Instagram

Have you noticed how more and more Instagram accounts use different fonts on their bio and posts? Are you wondering how they do it, and how you could change fonts on Instagram too?

In this article, we’ll show you how fonts work on Instagram and what options you have if you want to change them on your Instagram bio, posts, or profile.

But let’s get something out of the way first.

Why Should You Change Font on Instagram?

Well, there are three reasons:

#1. To Stand Out

Instagram is one of the most creative social media platforms. Many designers, creators, artists use it to showcase their work. Similarly, many brands are also competing for attention by highlighting their creativity.

And that means that the level of competition in terms of creativity is incredibly high.

Using custom fonts is one way to make your Instagram presence different from the others and stand out.

#2. To Showcase Your Creativity

Instagram is all about experimenting with your content, isn’t it?

The social media platform offers so many ways to do that, after all.

Changing text fonts is another way by which you can showcase your creativity.

#3. To Bank on the Latest Trends

Another incredible thing about Instagram is the speed at which new trends emerge on the platform. And, let’s face it, they will affect what you do on the platform as well.

Just imagine sticking to a trend for way too long. Eventually, your followers will see your profile as outdated and falling behind the pack.

Using custom fonts on Instagram is currently trending among influencers and brands. This means that it is time to give it a try.

With that off the way, let’s cover how you can change fonts on Instagram.

How to Change Fonts on Instagram

The process is quite simple. To change fonts, you need to use an Instagram Font Generator.

Using Instagram Font Generators

Font generators, as the name might suggest, aim to simplify the process of changing fonts. But those tools also help you explore all the different options before picking the right font for your brand, giving you the freedom to choose insta fonts you’d like.

There are four main Instagram font generators that you could use:

IGFonts.io – This is a very simple tool that helps you pick the best font for you. All you have to do is type the text and explore all the available fonts.

The tool’s interface includes only a text field where you can type your Instagram content to style. Once you’ve done that, the tool will generate fonts to output your copy, allowing you to choose the one you like.

FontGet – Instagram Font Generator – Here is another simple option to try based on a text box and a list of all the available fonts that you can use.

However, FontGet also expands your options with emojis, cool symbols, and text faces.

MetaTags Font Generator – If you want to preview how your new font shows up on your bio, then this tool is for you.

You can use it to preview your profile with different fonts and see how they’d work to represent your brand.

Fonts.Social – This is a fun tool to try out new fonts while exploring their emoji recommendations that go along with your text.

How to Change Font on Your Instagram Bio

Let’s look at the step-by-step process on how to add custom fonts to your bio.

First of all, you need to use one of the Instagram font generators we’ve mentioned above.

Let’s say you decide to use the MetaTags Font Generator. Here’s the exact process to use it to change fonts on your bio:

  1. Visit MetaTags Font Generator.
  2. Type your text at the left of the screen
  3. Several font options will show up. Pick the one that you like. Copy the text
  4. Go to the Instagram app. Tap at your profile
  5. Click at the top of your profile at ‘Edit Profile.’
  6. Paste the text on your bio, and you’re done.

TIP: Keep in mind the limit of 150 characters, so make sure you provide all the necessary details for your brand in this section.

How to Change Font on Your Instagram Post

Here’s how the process will look like when changing fonts on an Instagram post.

Once again, you need to start with an Instagram font generator. We’re picking IGFonts.io this time.

So, here’s what you need to do:

  1. Visit IGFonts.io
  2. Type your text at the text box
  3. Several font options will show up right below. Pick the one that you like. Copy the text
  4. Go to the Instagram app.
  5. Create a new Instagram post
  6. Paste the text
  7. Share your post
  8. You’re done!

How to Change Font on Your Instagram Stories

Custom fonts can also help you decorate your Instagram Stories.

Changing fonts on your Instagram Stories can help you build your brand through everyday content. Even if you simply stay consistent with a couple of fonts that reflect your brand, it’s still a creative tactic to play around based on the different themes you are focusing on.

There are two different ways to use different fonts on your Instagram Stories:

  1. Using an Instagram font generator. The process would be similar to adding a custom font on your Instagram bio or feed post. Pick a font generator, add your text, copy-paste it on your Story, and your new font is ready.
  2. Using Instagram’s different fonts. Instagram also offers a series of fonts that you can use on your Stories.

Let’s look at the second option.

  1. Go to Instagram Stories
  2. Take a photo that you want to share
  3. Tap at the ‘Aa’ button at the top right
  4. Type the text
  5. Swipe left and right to pick the font that you want to choose
  6. Click on ‘Done’ when you’re ready.

Best Practices for Changing Your Instagram Fonts

Changing Instagram fonts is relatively easy, isn’t’ it? Unfortunately, making sure that custom fonts work for your brand and elevate your image is entirely different.

That’s why there are some things I recommend you keep in mind when changing fonts.

#1. Don’t Change All Your Instagram Fonts

First of all, you don’t necessarily need to change all your Instagram fonts. Just because it’s fun and it can help you stand out, it doesn’t mean that you need to use them on all your posts.

In fact, it’s better to use the new fonts strategically so that they help you stand out.

There’s no need to go through the process of using an Instagram Font Generator for every single feed post. It will soon look repetitive to your followers.

It can also look like you’re overusing an Instagram trend. You don’t want your followers to think that you’re trying too hard, do you?

#2. Retain Brand Consistency

All your creative output on Instagram should align with your branding. Changing your Instagram font can be fun, but you still need to be consistent with your brand.

Make sure you stick to the fonts that reflect your brand instead of using a different one on every single post.

Pick one or two fonts that match your brand’s content and start using them more often.

#3. Consider Accessibility

Custom fonts are all based on Unicode characters. This means that they should show up on all browsers and devices using a universal code.

However, it’s not always the case. Sometimes not all characters show up, which makes your custom font illegible.

Be careful with the fonts you’re using, and make sure you test them as much as possible on different devices.

Takeaway

Changing Instagram fonts can help you make anything you post on the social network to stand out and showcase your creativity. It is also incredibly easy to do so. All you need is an Instagram font generator, and you can start boosting the creativity of your profile bio, posts, and Stories.

Good luck!

Instagram Fonts Generator (𝓬𝓸𝓹𝔂 𝕒𝕟𝕕 𝓅𝒶𝓈𝓉𝑒) ― IGFonts.io

Welcome! This site allows you to generate text fonts that you can copy and paste into your Instagram bio. It's useful for generating Instagram bio symbols to make your profile stand out and have a little bit of individuality. After typing some text into the input box, you can keep clicking the "show more fonts" button and it'll keep generating an infinite number of different Instagram font variations, or you can use one of the "tried and true" fonts like the cursive text, or the other stylish text fonts - i.e. the ones that are a bit "neater" than the others because they use a set of symbols that are closer to the normal alphabet, and are more consistent in their style.

The site works by generating a bunch of different styles using a large range of different Unicode characters. So technically you're not actually generating fonts, but instead I guess you could say you're generating Instagram-compatible Unicode glyphs :) Want to learn more about Unicode? Read on...

Unicode

Computers must store all data in a binary format - that is, with zeros and ones. So each letter that you're reading right now is stored on my server as a series of zeros and ones. That needs to go from my server to your browser, and your browser needs to understand what those zeros and ones are referring to.In the early days of computing, everyone had their own ideas about which binary codes should refer to which textual characters - there was no universal standard saying 01100001=a, 01100010=b, etc., but that changed in the 1980s with the formation of Unicode. Unicode is an international standards body that works towards a universal specification for text characters. Before Unicode was formed, everyone had their own ways of storing and rendering text, and so whenever two programs from different programmers or organisations had to "talk" to one another, they'd have to build a "translator" so that they could understand which codes referred to which textual characters.

Unicode had a bit of a tough time though, because all the different organisations didn't want to change their whole system around just to comply with this new spec. So Unicode had to introduce a bunch of different symbol sets to support legacy systems. Over time, the number of symbols grew into the tens of thousands, and today we're moving into the hundreds of thousands. Emojis are also text symbols, and so the new emojis that are appearing all the time are coming out of the Unicode working group.

So that's how we ended up with such a large and strange/fun array of symbols, and that's the reason you're here! I've put together a bunch of fonts for Instagram that should be fun to play with and use for your bio. You may want to mix and match certain parts from different font styles.

Text Fonts or Text Symbols?

ASCII characters are the first 128 symbols of Unicode, and these are the things that you're reading right now. But there are far more than 128 symbols in Unicode, and it just so happens that there are quite a few that look a bit like the normal Latin alphabet (i.e. that look like English text). We can take advantage of that to make "pseudo-alphabets" which resemble normal ASCII text, but which have certain differences - such as being bolder, or italic, or even upside down! These "alphabets" often aren't perfect - they're basically "Unicode hacks" which take advantage of various symbols from different sets all throughout the 100k+ symbols in the standard.

The term "font" actually refers to a set of graphics that correspond to some or all of the Unicode glyphs. You've probably heard of "Comic Sans" and "Arial" - these are fonts. What you're copying and pasting above are actually symbols that exist in every font. So the cursive text and other fancy letters that you're seeing above are actually separate character, just like "a" and "b" are separate characters.

Copy and Paste

So why doesn it matter that they're separate characters? Who cares? Well, you do! Because if they weren't (i.e. if they were just normal fonts), then you wouldn't be able to copy and paste them! You can't copy and paste some Comic Sans into your Instagram bio because the symbols the you'd be copying would just be normal ASCII characters, and the fact that they're rendered in one font on one website doesn't mean that they'll appear as that same font on another - it's up to the website owner to decide what fonts they use on their website. However, if there's a set of unicode characters that looks like a specific font, or has a particular style (e.g. bold, italic, cursive, etc.), then we can use them to "emulate" a font that will work across different websites when you copy and paste those "fonts".

So really, if I were to be really pedantic, this site should be called "pseudo instagram fonts". But the current name gets the point across, and it's nice and short :) So, anyway, that's why you're able to copy and paste these fonts into Instagram.

Compatibility

One final note: You may notice that some of the font styles don't work on Instagram. Unfortunately Instagram filters out some of the fancy letters and symbols - probably because they don't want people to abuse certain Unicode stuff like the excessive diacritics used in the "glitch text" font that you'll see in the list.

Okay, that's all for now folks! I hope you find all these Instagram fonts useful! You can keep clicking that "show more" button, and it'll keep randomizing all the different symbol alphabets all day long. If you have a stylish text font that you've created, or you want to share some feedback, please share it here. I'm always playing around building new websites, so if you've got any other ideas for text generators or text fonts, feel free to share those too. 𝒯𝒽𝒶𝓃𝓀𝓈 𝒻𝑜𝓇 𝓈𝓉𝑜𝓅𝓅𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝒷𝓎! ٩( ᐛ )و

  5. Paste it into Instagram in the required field (for example, in the account name or description field). It is done through editing the profile.

Important: most sites and applications work only with the Latin alphabet. And if there is Cyrillic, then there are fewer font options.

If you have a serious business, and in the profile text with flowers and unreadable squiggles, on the contrary, this can harm promotion. Perhaps you don’t need an unusual font at all - it’s more important to pay attention to the design of the profile as a whole. Add an avatar, add contacts, write a suitable description, develop your own style for the content.

How to make a beautiful font in an instagram 9000 9000 , Dear friends!

There are simply a huge number of options for how to design your profile in a social network in an unusual and creative way. You can find some ideas for creating accounts and working with social networks in the corresponding section of the iklife.ru blog. Now let's figure out how to make a beautiful font on Instagram, and consider the best tools that will help us in this matter.

Unfortunately, the Instagram functionality does not provide any interesting options for working with fonts. However, thanks to creative and enterprising people, there is a way out. You can use mobile applications or special online services to change fonts.

I'll go into detail about how to change the font and share ways to help you do it. You just have to choose the option that you like the most and use it.

Content

Sites for creating beautiful fonts

Most web services have similar functionality and only slightly differ in interface. The main similarity of such services is that they are all equally easy to use. The instruction you see below is universal. It can be applied to all sites from this article.

So, to create a beautiful font, follow these steps:

  1. Open one of the online services for Instagram.
  2. Enter the word, phrase or sentence we need in the field provided for this. The service will automatically convert the text and offer dozens of spelling options.
  3. Choose the style you like and copy the text.
  4. It remains only to insert it in the required place in the post or in the information about yourself.

That's it. Now let's take a closer look at each site separately.

An important nuance: almost all services do not work with the Cyrillic alphabet. So you have to write in English or transliterate words into Latin. I have been using itranslit.com for this purpose for a couple of years now. You can use it or you can easily find an alternative on the Internet by requesting transliteration online.

Fonts For Instagram

Fonts For Instagram is one of the sections of lingojam. com. This English-language service is very easy to use. In addition to the usual fonts, there are many variations with emoticons.

Mega Cool Text

Mega Cool Text is a service similar to Fonts For Instagram. The choice here is much more extensive, but there are no emoticons.

Mega Cool Text is positioned as a service for creating an unusual nickname, but nothing will stop you from entering any word, sentence or whole text.

I copied a couple of pages from Franz Kafka's work into the input field, and Mega Cool Text successfully changed the font of the text. And if he coped with Kafka, then on Instagram he will help to write something in a beautiful font. Converts only Latin.

TextGenerator.ru

TextGenerator.ru is a Russian-language online service with 33 text modifications available. Although the site is in Russian, it does not work with Cyrillic.

Functions slightly differently than the above resources. First you will need to choose a writing style and only then enter the text. As for me, it is rather inconvenient, but, as they say, the taste and color.

IGFonts.io

The principle of IGFonts.io is similar to the above mentioned services. But unlike them, IGFonts.io has the opportunity to work with Cyrillic.

There are very few modifications for the Russian-language text, but there is still a choice.

Phone apps for creating unusual fonts

A huge number of applications for working with fonts and creating unusual inscriptions for Instagram have been developed for iOS and Android.

The functionality of most of them is similar to each other, and the procedure is not much different from the one I wrote for web services. However, there are also unusual applications in which you must first configure the keyboard, and then write in the font that you choose.

In addition to changing the writing style of the text, in some mobile applications you can choose and make attractive captions on photos or Stories.

For iOS

Fonts & Text Emoji for Instagram Bio, Comments & Captions is one of the most popular apps for apple gadget lovers.

Contains a large selection of creative spellings and over 3,000 Japanese kaomoji text emoticons. Based on Unicode technology (we'll talk about it later). This means that your text will be recognized from almost any device.

Better Fonts Pro is an application with almost all functionality available for free and without ads. You can work with 100+ interesting text characters, but some of them are only available with a subscription.

Fonts & Keyboard offers a large selection of fonts, including color fonts. You can buy a library of additional unique lettering options.

For Android

Fonts for Instagram is an application with which you can make a beautiful inscription not only in the header of a profile or post, but also in stories and photos. You can also write in color.

Cool Fonts contains over a hundred spellings. You can write in italics, use colored inscriptions.

Fonts Art has a huge number of features. You can change the avatars, making them cartoony, there are templates for the icons of the actual. You can also add plain text to stories or photos. To use fonts for messages or text under the photo, you will need to reconfigure the keyboard. After that, you will be able to write in the chosen way without conversion and copying.

Creating labels with Unicode characters

Unicode is a character encoding standard. It includes signs and symbols of almost all languages of the world.

This standard prevails in the Internet space, which is not surprising, since the table has about 150 scripts and more than a hundred thousand characters. This is a rather complex system. But to beautify your Instagram or any other social network, there is no need to delve into it.

There are a huge number of sites with a Unicode character table. The most convenient and popular is the multilingual unicode-table. com. There you will find all the characters that are only in the Unicode table. They are very conveniently sorted into categories, so there should not be any problems when working with the site.

As an alternative, I will offer you 2 more resources with a symbol table:

  • yoksel.github.io
  • foxtools.ru

And now I have 2 news for you: good and bad.

I'll start with a good one. Unlike the web services and applications that I wrote about above, using Unicode you can make the inscription in Cyrillic. In the table you will find many extensions for Cyrillic. I will say even more: in Unicode, all languages of the world are available to you. You can write in Greek letters, Arabic and even Gujarati! I don't even know what language it is, but the scale is impressive. You can definitely walk around!

Now for the less good news. It will not work to quickly and automatically convert plain text into a beautiful inscription.
